Parc
“Yeah, this is a must see. Moran State Park is the gem of Orcas Island. Hiking & bike trails, horseback riding, waterfalls, two lakes...and Mt. Constitution- the highest peak in the San Juan Islands. Drive up and admire the view then take a walk around Cascade lake. Swim in the summer. Play area for kids and plenty of picnic spots. Daily fee to park or use your Discover Pass.”

“New Leaf Cafe is a French inspired restaurant, but keeps the food honest. In the Outlook Inn but don’t think of it as a hotel restaurant. Reservations encouraged. Light-filled with bay views serving seasonal French breakfast & dinner fare.”

“I love the bar aka "The Mansion". The mansion was the home built by Ship builder Robert Moran, the former mayor of Seattle, responsible for re-building the city after the "great fire" of 1889. He donated the property which is now Moran State Park. The spa is downstairs from the bar and offers full spa treatments and the use of an indoor pool . Visit the mansion and drink in the history of the island..”

“If you are adventurous enough to drive out there, go for it. Island sourced menu including produce grown on site, live music and Thursday open-mic night. In the old days Doe Bay was a hippie hang out known for its clothing optional hot tubs. Today its been revamped to appeal to the hipster set . Extra points for the Coachella wannabe "Doe Bay Fest" held every August. Doe Bay retains its funky charm and yes, still has the hot tubs. ”
