“Delicious thin crust pizza with other great options. You can either have dinner in the front, or hang out at the bar in the back. I believe they're also open for brunch. ”

Cimetière
“I know it’s weird, but locals know this is a great place for amazing views, a quick run, catching July 4th fireworks, etc. Landscape design by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed Central Park, Stanford University, and UC Berkeley’s master plan. Local treasure. Featured in Blindspotting. ”

“This place changed its name to Walnut & Oak recently, but it’s still the same great restaurant with the same menu (which changes a bit with the seasons). It’s very expensive! The dinner is amaaazing, make a reservation ahead of time or eat at the massive bar. I’ve also been for brunch twice and it’s meh (but you can usually get a table then without a reservation).”

Librairie
“This surprisingly voluminous bookstore has thrived for more than 40 years. That's partly because the staff prides itself on really knowing its stock and being the original recommendation engine before Amazon ever existed. Located on Grand Avenue and surrounded by a variety of restaurants, you'll often find customers waiting for their tables browsing the aisles. The kid's section has a handmade feel and the rare book room is gorgeous and full of first editions and other treasures.”
