Logements à Pocomoke City
Although there is nothing of today’s technology missing, you most likely will feel a sense of going back in time to a simpler era in our circa 1940 home. Everything about this space is easy and cheerful, comfortable, convenient and pet friendly. It is small-town Eastern Shore at its provincial finest, inside and out, including a quiet fenced-in backyard complete with with table, umbrella and chairs.
Sweet, clean and charming bungalow on a quiet street in the center of the small, sleepy, un-rediscovered historic town of Pocomoke City. The kitchen contains all amenities to make you feel at home. The backyard is private and is fenced in for the convenience of pet owners.
Here in Pocomoke City we have Mallards Restaurant on the Pocomoke River, just a short walk away. It’s really nice. There is a really great coffee shop, “Bites and Beanery” around the corner as well. “Market Street Deli”, a short drive, and serves a great home-cooked menu and is where the locals hang out. “Don”s Seafood” on Highway 13 is a great hangout with good food. We are close to Chincoteague Island with the horses and the beaches. Wallops island -NASA space center offers great tours. From Crisfield it’s an trip within your trip to take the ferry to Smith Island, famous for their world renown “Smith Island Cake” and Taylor’s Island is a must see as well. Our peaceful and usually quiet town is nestled around an expansive river known as the Pocomoke River. It is also a Historic area and there are a few sites to visit right here in Pocomoke City MD. Our town offers a park at the scenic river, a museum, coffee house as well as a theater. There are many events held here (example: the 4th Friday of each month an Art Stroll is steps away with music and food) and the other small towns that litter the Eastern Shore. Events held close by could bring more activity, but for the most part this is a laid-back town. There are canoe and kayak rentals nearby at the Shad State Park. Our town is still growing and we hope you tell people about our area once your return home, so that you can assist in the town's growth. We are centrally located between the Chesapeake Bay and the Ocean. Salisbury MD is approximately 30 minutes away. Close to so much!! Two beaches and nature centers. Assateague (40 min) & Chincoteague (30 min), Antique Shopping, Dining, River for Scenic Views, plus much more! From time-to-time there are special events held in Pocomoke City as well as the surrounding areas.
  • Susan was very quick to respond and very easy going. She provided a nice, charming, space.

  • The space is nice and private, with a small kitchen. The owners have filled the space with helpful pamphlets about the area, and with books. Each room has its own A/C unit, which was great. The house is a block from downtown, and we had a nice meal at a riverside restaurant, followed by a walk along the riverfront nature trail. It was a very enjoyable stay.

  • Susan was extremely responsive to our last-minute booking and kept in close contact w/ us after our original arrival plans changed. The house is charming and Tim gave us the tour and helped us feel welcome and comfortable. We loved Pocomoke City and the coffee shop two blocks from their house!

  • Susan's house was perfect for our daughters vacation. The old house was so quaint and very comfortable. We were close to downtown and not far away from the beach as well as nearby towns for shopping!! There were many extras to make you feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to come back!!! Post cards of the house were especially sweet!! Thanks so much for sharing your home!!!

  • Susan's residence was my first experience with Airbnb and, needless to say, my time left a very good impression on me. She walked us through the house, gave information on the area, recommened eateries, museums, coffee shops, even an orchard, all of which my family and I made time to visit and experience. Her space was immaculately clean, speckled with warm decor, and closed off from the front of the house so as to keep guests from feeling like intruders. Although she left us to our own devices (which we enjoyed), she left room open for questions, concerns, and help, if any of the three plauged us. All in all, I give it ten toes up. Make it a must-see on your way through Maryland.

  • A very nice place in a beautiful historic house. Lots of space and a comfy bed. Only the little dogs were getting on my nerves. Always barking and making a fuss.

    Johannes2016-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, quirky and authentically vintage little place to spend our summer vacation. My partner, 8-year-old son and myself stayed here, but spent most of our week exploring Assateague and Chincoteague islands and beaches, which are about 30-45 minutes away. Susan's apartment is homey and the extra large claw foot tub was a highlight for all of us. Overall a unique experience we won't forget!

  • We were welcomed by Susan and her spouse with friendly smiles. We felt welcome and at home. The house is located in Pocomoke City close to many beautiful site seeing locations. Our room was located above the main house, lots of room, we had our own entrance and felt private. Our fur baby was welcomed and she felt right at home.

My place is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the light, and the beautiful nature views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
You will be renting the entire house to use at your convenience. We absolutely love the peace and quiet and feeling of being surrounded by nature at the house. The master suite in truly serene. Home of the Assateague ponies! Small fishing town on the eastern shore of Virginia. Central air, modestly equipped kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, some spices, blender), screened in porch, sleeps 6. Beach umbrellas, beach chairs, barbeque grill, washing machine, dryer. Need to bring towels and bed linens.
Check out Chincoteague, a real all American town with activities and a pristine protected beach. Flat for great bike riding. And great all year 'round.
  • Great location in a central residential area but with a great view of the marshes. The double stacked porches are a huge asset. Great place!

    Shelly2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb stay and we loved it. It was so special to stay in someone’s home. The house is well taken care of, clean spacious and perfect. There was everything we needed in the way of pots and pans to make dinner and breakfast. Eating on the screened porch was fun - even in a gentle rain. We saw tons of birds and enjoyed the seclusion of this house.

    Katherine2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Joe and Shaun's Tranquil Shores! The house was beautiful, comfortable and even better than the photos. Hosts were very accommodating and communication was clear and FAST! The location is also beautiful. It was our first time visiting Chincoteague and I'm so glad to have been able to stay in such a great house on the gorgeous island.

    Catherine2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, private place to get away. The bird-watching was fabulous. We hope to visit again.

    Michelle2017-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. Quiet, relaxing and would come again.

    Wende2018-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Joe's home lives up to its name - it is tranquil and a great place to unwind. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from the porch. The location of the house is perfect - shops and restaurants are a block away and a few minutes drive to Chincotague National Wildlife Refuge. Joe was responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended!

  • Loved my stay and would 100% stay again. Extremely well kept house. Thanks for being flexible with my travel dates!

Duck's Delight is our home in America's Happiest Seaside Town (2014 Coastal Living)! Entire home updated/renovated for the 2015 booking season! 4 bedroom (3 queen sized and 2 sets of bunkbeds), 2 bath Cape Cod in Chincoteague, VA
Home of the Assateague ponies! Small fishing town on the eastern shore of Virginia. Central air, newly updated and fully equipped kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, seafood equipment, some spices, blender), screened in porch and outside enclosed hot running shower, sleeps 10. Great for 2 families, includes high chair and portacrib. The house is within walking distance of the town. Check out Chincoteague, a real all American town with activities and a pristine protected beach. Flat for great bike riding. And great all year 'round. Beach umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, barbeque grill, washing machine, dryer, and clothesline. Need to bring towels and bed linens.
  • Duck's Delight was just as described. The house was very cute and clean and fully stocked for any eventuality. Had we been there longer we surely would have utilized the kitchen which was the most cook friendly kitchen I have ever seen in an Airbnb house. The location was great. We walked to the downtown area in just a couple minutes and drove to the Refuge in 10. If you're considering a stay on the island, Ducks Delight is the way to go. And there are ducks!

    Pat2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house and it was a good thing since the weather was not the best! There was nothing lacking! Enjoyed it so much that we booked for next year. This is a first for us. Well done, Joseph!!!

    Dave2017-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Duck's Delight is a spacious house that is centrally located in a quiet community. Near enough to walk into town and many eateries. Great breakfast in the diner, the best fish chowder at Don's, and the crab cakes ay AJ's are a real treat. There's the National seashore park on Assateague where you can get a glimpse of the wild ponies and lots of birds. Take a boat tour for a better view of the horses. Unfortunately, we were there out of season and only had a short visit. Maybe next time.

    Carol2017-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • It was right in the heart of Chincoteague so a lot of cute local sights were in walking distance. The house was adorable and had lots of convenient things about it from extra blankets to random kitchen items you might not remember to bring but would need. I liked that we had the option to clean up the house ourselves. It was a great find for a great price.

    Tatsy2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were very helpful with information about Duck's Delight. The home was as described. It was in a small seaside town neighborhood. We stopped for the night on a trip north. We had four adults and one infant. The size of the home fit us perfectly. The home was clean and inviting. We would definitely recommend this home.

    Judy2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Chincoteague in the off season is perfectly peaceful and stunningly beautiful.... Duck's Delight is a homey, roomy, well equipped place to call your own for the visit.

    Jenny2017-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I loved our stay at Duck's Delight! * Joe and Shawn provided very clear information in advance and the key pad entry took the stress out of coordinating arrival schedules. * The house is in a great location, an easy walk to everything in town. * The house was immaculate when we arrived * Everything worked perfectly (wifi, A/C, fans, etc.) * The beds and pillows were comfortable and the instructions were very clear that we needed to bring our own sheets and towels. * The kitchen was large and very well equipped with everything we needed to cook. * The house is well laid out. We were only 3 people, but it would be fine for 6 adults and 4 children. * They had plenty of DVDs and games for rainy days and the screened in porch was lovely. We borrowed a beach umbrella and the shed is well stocked with beach things and toys. * There was a storm during our visit and Joe called to be sure we were all right, which we appreciated. * We thoroughly enjoyed watching the ducks parade through the lawn. We would happily stay at Duck's Delight again and recommend it to all of our friends.

  • Joseph was a great host with efficient communication and easy entry to the home. The home was very comfortable with everything you need for a great weekend or entire week. Remember to bring your own linen and towels. We had to find a place to buy some because I didn't carefully read the guide that was sent to us. Overall though we had a great time on Chincoteague and Duck's Delight was a great accommodation for our trip.

Located in the heart of Princess Anne's historic district and as the address suggests, a few doors down from the famed "Teakle Mansion", a finely appointed neo-classic mansion dating from 1802. This house has been completely refurbished and refurnished and makes a wonderful base for business or touring. This is a wonderful area for cycling, kayaking and skipjack cruising. We can have hired bicycles at the house ready for you and arrange for Kayaks and a guide at Jane's Island Park.
Landmarks: University of Maryland Eastern Shore (0.6 mi / 1 km) Salisbury University (11.8 mi / 19 km) Bordeleau Winery (9.7 mi / 15.6 km) Nutter's Crossing Golf Club (13.4 mi / 21.5 km) Poplar Hill Mansion (13.6 mi / 21.8 km) One of the greatest local attractions is, of course - the Atlantic Beaches which include Ocean City, Maryland, Assateague (35 miles), Chincoteague (35 miles), Rehoboth, Bethany Beach and Fenwick Island. 25 minutes, 19 miles from Princess Anne is the Seafood Capital City of Crisfield. Crisfield is also a major gateway to Smith Island and Tangier Island both unique Bay Island worth a day trip.
  • Ian's place is a renovated old house in a quiet neighborhood, about 50 min drive from Ocean City as well as Chincoteague. There are three bedrooms - the first has a king size bed which is very comfortable. The second bedroom has a twin size bed and the third bedroom has a smaller roll-away bed, so be aware that the beds in those rooms are much smaller. The shower was clean and had good water pressure. Check in is at the Washington Inn a couple blocks away. We had a few issues with checking in because we arrived around 11 am. We were told that check in was flexible up till 11pm and did not realize that the inn checked in people after 3pm. However, the people at the Inn accommodated us and we were able to check in within an hour or so.

  • Denise's house was wonderful. It was stocked plentifully with water and cinnamon buns, and the house itself was spacious and well-tended. Denise herself was quick and thorough with all communication. I'd happily stay at this property again.

  • Great location, very enjoyable stay

    Jesse2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quiet place to relax for the weekend and we found it at Island Relaxation. My wife and I traveled alone, but the house could easily accommodate larger families with the "bonus" room off of one of the two master bedrooms. The beach is a short walk out the back of the house and we made use of the beach chairs and umbrella that Denise provides. We read, found beach glass, and even saw a bald eagle fly over. Captain E's Tiki Bar is a short walk from the house and is a great place for happy hour drinks, seafood, and to watch the sunset. Denise was always quick to respond when we had questions. Overall a great place for quiet relaxation.

    Matthew2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • A great small town vibe with a beach and a nearby tiki bar. What more could you ask for? The house is perfect.

    Timothy2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the area. Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to be friendly.

    Monica2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Denise’s place is lovely. The house was spotless and the pictures are accurate. The kitchen has all the tools you need, but no oil or spices, so bring your own! She had lots of stuff for local business around the house; we tried the tiki bar and had a great time! There’s also beach towels and chairs for two people, and one set of golf clubs. Window AC units leave you in control of the temp in each bedroom. All was lovely!

    Jessica2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed just for a night with two young children. Agree with the others- the pictures don't do it justice. The house is newly and fully renovated. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Denise has thought of everything. As a parent of messy kids, the washer and dryer were a nice surprise ( yes, there are laundry detergent and dryer sheets). The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Also a deck with chairs and a bbq. The town is small, but there is a great restaurant at the end of the road. Quick drive to Chincoteague island, Assateague beach, NASA Wallops Island. Denise was a great host. Thank you, Denise!

  • An amazing place to relax and enjoy peace, quiet and nature. Excellent accommodation, exceptionally clean. Unfortunately I fractured my ankle a couple of weeks prior to my visit, I found the discreet handrails in the bathroom very useful. John and Teresa are the first airbnb hosts that we have met, I don't think we will meet better hosts. They make you feel very welcome and at home, have a great knowledge of the area, great at communicating and cooking. Make sure you stay for breakfast, a real treat and wonderful experience. Thanks again John & Teresa

    Caire2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely welcoming, invested in their guests experience. Good recommendations. The only drawback was the proximity to beach. About 40 min drive to beach. (Which was gorgeous)

    Natalie2016-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted at the door by Theresa, who welcomed us, showed us around, and made us feel immediately at home. Later they invited us into the kitchen and showed us how to use their appliances, and when we cooked our dinner they asked if we wished to be alone or share their company. We had a long and very interesting conversation; both John and Theresa are very bright and educated and have interesting and varied professional backgrounds. We learned a lot by exchanging ideas. The place is exactly as described only better. The guests have a private bedroom and bathroom, which is separated from the rest of the house by a door that leads into the living room. We had access to the living room, kitchen and laundry room when we wished. The accommodation is suitable for both those who want to meet and exchange ideas and those who seek more privacy. The neighborhood is the Captain's Cove area of Greenbackville VA. The Captain's cover area has the feel of a suburb, with about 1000 homes laid out along a main road - "Captain's Corridor" - and its tributaries. The surrounding area, however is not 'urb' at all - it is rural. A short drive and you are in Chincoteague Village and Assateague Island. Bottom line: a wonderful airbnb, with warm, welcoming, and interesting hosts. Comfortable room and many wonderful features. We would stay with John and Theresa again and would recommend this situation to others.

    Leonard2015-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • The time spent with John and Teresa was absolutely fantastic! They made us feel so incredibly welcome - spoiled us :) I felt so comfortable there and definitely would like to spend time with them again. Truly felt like a retreat: Location was beautiful and within good driving distance from everything we wanted to do; the food was so, so , so good; and we had such good conversation with them. They went over and above what we expected with a lot of little extras, too. Sweet people. Love them. Honestly made our trip even more special.

    Lisa2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • John and Teresa were wonderful hosts! They were able to provide us with a lot of good advice about what to see and where to eat. They were very kind and welcoming. The room was excellent and the food was even better! We would definitely recommend this listing to anyone!

    Carrie2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had the most lovely experience staying with John and Teresa. They communicated quickly during the reservation process and were accommodating of my late arrival; even greeting me at my car and helping me haul luggage into the room. They graciously honored my request to have a package I needed for work shipped to the room, and left me a much needed snack after I missed dinner due to my travel schedule. The room was immaculate, and very comfortable. I loved the bed, and being able to snuggle in and watch TV during a winter storm was delightful. The room was set up for guests with just the right balance of relaxing seaside decor and functional storage so that I was able to be comfortable with everything I needed to work and play for a 2 week stay. John and Teresa were wonderful guides to the area, and shared their favorite shopping and adventure locations with me. I really looked forward to Teresa's breakfasts in the mornings, as much for the conversation as for her wonderful meals! John is delightful and we also had long conversations about mutual interests and local happenings. The neighborhood is a clean, safe and well established golf course community. I would feel safe walking at night, or early in the morning. As a matter of fact, I liked the neighborhood so much, I rented a house in the Cove for the remainder of my job. I'm so glad to get to be neighbors with John and Teresa!

  • John and Teresa are in their own echelon of superhosts -- their home is ultra clean, comfortable, and pleasant to be in. They went out of their way to ensure that I was relaxed and entertained during my stay, more so than any other host(s) I've stayed with through Airbnb. Most of all, they're just lovely people and it was a pleasure to meet them. Attending breakfast is a must!

Check county, city and tourism websites for activities. A description of the neighborhood wouldn't be complete without mentioning Maryland's official dessert, Smith Island cake. . The Smith Island Baking Company is located just a block and a half from your door on Chesapeake Avenue. Stop for a slice or purchase a whole cake! You can't miss it with the bright yellow and white decoration!
  • We had a great stay in this house. Rosemary and Dave greeted us on arrival and gave us tips and information and then left us to ourselves which was great. They also had essentials like creamer and drinking water provided (plus some delightful non-essential snacks!) Although the town of Crisfield didn't have much happening at the time of year we were there (mid april) if you are willing to drive 45-60 mins you can get to Assateague/chincoteague/NASA wallops/pokomoke city/berlin town, all of which we enjoyed. Great value air bnb!

  • This is a great little place to spend a few days on the Eastern Shore. The house is very comfortable and clean and Kathleen is a fantastic and very attentive host. She went out of her way to offer a lot of advice for things to do and there was plenty of coffee, tea and snacks in the kitchen. Great place to stay.

  • David a fantastic host: very cordial, easy going, accessible at the drop of a hat when we needed something, but otherwise not intrusive. The house is very nice: two bedrooms, fantastic views of sunrise and sunset. A bottle of wine and lots of goodies greeted us when we got there.

  • Denise is a great host. Her property, named Mason Paige is a wonderfully renovated step back in time. Completed in warm wood(s) and just the right modern touches, and amenities. The Mason Paige kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, modern stove/oven and all the thoughtful amenities. All you need to do is arrive in the area, do your grocery shopping(if you wish), and enjoy the island activities/beach which are a few minutes by away (by car). The accommodations are quiet, private and just the right distance from the "hustle and bustle". Thank you Denise - We will be back!

  • What a delightful place to stay--an old bank!!! We enjoyed going to a very quiet beach that Denise recommended! (Be aware that the road by the airbnb can be noisy at times.)

  • Denise's place is an awesome stay while in the Chincoteague area. Communication was excellent and led to a very easy and simple check-in process. The house has huge ceilings and historical touches that give you the feel of its past life as a bank. There is two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and multiple TV's to give you plenty of amenities. The bed was very comfortable and we got a great nights sleep. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.

  • What a great spot! This accommodation is in downtown snow hill, steps away from some good restaurants and only about 20-25 minutes from Assateague Island National Seashore. We were met at the door on the day of our arrival. The apartment is old world charm with modern day touches. There were even freshly baked muffins and cold bottled water for us. They even provided mini shampoo and toothpaste, which was a really nice touch. I highly recommend staying here.

  • This is a great spot!! Loved walking to the little coffee shop in the morning for breakfast. Their croissants were amazing!!!

    Aida2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • This little place is a gem. Its tucked up in an old brick building in the middle of the tiny town of Snow Hill. We used this place as home base as we explored the East coast beaches of Assateague, Ocean City and Rehoboth, all within an hour's drive. The decor of the space is refreshingly clean and comfy. Kitchenette was perfect for our breakfasts and the shower has great pressure. Our little trio really appreciated this space.

  • Very nice place! Pictures don't do it justice. Both hosts were very helpful and courteous cafe had amazing food and don't forget the dessert . Overall great stay

    Elizabeth2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I planned our beach vacation very last minute so anything decent in Ocean City was extremely expensive. Gary and Todd's flat was the perfect place to stay both in terms of comfort and affordability. Snow Hill is only a 30 minute drive from the beach assuming traffic isn't congested to get into the city. Everything was clean and ready when we got there. I've stayed at more expensive hotels that weren't up to Gary and Todd's standards. Gary was super helpful and quick to respond to messages if we had any questions. He even bought us a round of drinks when we ate dinner at the Blue Dog Cafe located just down the street. If you're looking for a great place to stay and want to avoid overpaying to stay near the beach this is a great option. Snow Hill had its' own charm even though we didn't get to spend much time there. The local coffee shop was fantastic and everything was quiet and peaceful. Overall my wife and I were more then happy with the accommodations and would recommend staying there to anyone.

  • Okay, so where do I start! This was an amazing stay as Kaitlyn's first guests. My girlfriend and I came down to enjoy a relaxing beach weekend for the end of the summer. The house is in a really great location where it was not too far from the beach! It was only 45 minutes from all the surrounding beaches - Chincoteague (where I went), Assateague, and Ocean City! There were also cute towns and flea markets we stopped at along the way. Kaitlyn was a great host - super friendly and warm! She has two super friendly dogs and a cat, that I was obsessed with. Her house was beautifully decorated with nice furnishings and a super comfy bed. I felt at home the entire time. I would definitely recommend this place - I know I'll be back!

  • Robert was great to work with, the house was clean and he responded quickly with anything we needed! Iwould definitely stay here again!

  • Nice house! Parking was great right next to the door. Very convenient with little kids and lots of things to unload. The house is kid friendly. Lots of space to run around. The only issue was air conditioner being too loud (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • We didn't stay long enough to be able to truly appreciate the place one way or another. I can tell you the area was quiet, the beds were comfortable, the shower hot and the water in the fridge appreciated. The bedrooms are connected and separated from each other using a curtain. They were also separated from the main area using curtains. For us, completely not a problem. For others who prize their privacy this may not work for you.

  • Quiet and clean, expectations match reality. Comfortable place to stay, would stay again if in the area.

  • Robert had a great home to share. We had no issues with any of his rules, and everything was perfect. I’m not sure why people would say otherwise. I would definitely come back to stay at Roberts home any day. Thanks!!

This hideaway is just off Route 13 in South Salisbury. Our home is only a short walk to Salisbury University or a 5-7 minute drive to the dockside downtown area. It's located in a safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of outdoors space. Many of my neighbors have lived here most, if not all of their lives. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Private entrance, roomy comfort for 2-3, front door off street parking.
The neighborhood is quiet and great for morning/afternoon walks minutes away from S.U.
  • Great little place! So many extra touches. My favorite was having laundry soup, a Keurig machine with plenty of coffee, and all the cleaning supplies you would ever need to keep your living space clean during your stay. Tammy and family were excellent communicators and check in was a breeze. Will be staying again when we visit the in-laws.

  • It is a cozy little place. Everything we needed except the wifi we couldn't get any reception on our phones. But we were only there for 1 night so not really needed. Thanks for the great accommodations. She even had ice in the freezer for us to use. Thanks again

  • If your looking for the cleaniest, quietest, & everthing you could possibly need (including a really cool gas stove in the living room which could be very romantic) this is your place. Only one step into the apartment so if you have alot to carry, are traveling with an elderly person, or have a broken leg this will work for you. When we arrived there was bottled water in the fridge which was so thoughtful. As well as 2 tickets to a local restaurant that offered 2 appetizers. This was a very unique gem. Thank you Denise!

  • The Bayside Retreat is a Chincoteague lodging option of unbeatable value! While it’s not fancy, it is cozy, clean, and safe. You have a comfy bed, couch, tv, microwave, and fridge. It is near restaurants and bars - close enough to walk to some restaurants; but, not too close so you don’t hear the nightlife from the room. Jenny and her husband were very welcoming and inviting! Thanks for a great weekend stay!

    Linda2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect set up for a small family get away. The grill outside was super nice and a fun way to do dinner one evening and breakfast in the morning. Thanks Jenny&Stewart

    Catherine2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • The room was much larger than we expected! The fridge was stocked with cold water (a pleasant surprise). Everything was clean and felt like home. Jenny was friendly and had plenty of suggestions about things for us to do. I look forward to staying here again!

    Quiet waterfront neighborhood.
  • Marie's house is beautifully decorated and located on the water. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need to be comfortable during your stay. We especially loved sitting in the hot tub! A great get away.

    Caroline2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as expected. Very clean, nice, quiet waterfront location. Beds were comfortable. The view is unbeatable. We took advantage of the opportunity to use the kayak; didn't drive far to launch from small beach near racquet club. Shopping and dining a short drive or $10 Uber ride. The beach club and reserved parking were nice perks. Why didn't we discover The Teal House years ago? We will definitely be back. Marie was very attentive and responsive. No problems whatsoever.

    New2017-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Teal house was by far the best get away experience. We got to ride the bikes and enjoy the kayak. Its in a beautiful community. Not far from assateague or Ocean City. Definitely bringing the family back next time to stay longer! Super cozened all the amenities you could need for a good a time.

    Danny2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very cozy and clean. Great view of the sea Chanel's and great amenities! Private and yet close to shopping and entertainment. Truly home away from home , but also place for adventure. Marie was a wonderful host! Thank you for everything!

    Gergana2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was good. The home was just as depicted in the pictures. The purpose of my stay was to relax and get away from the city. Which is why I choose the off peak season to be near the water. The neighborhood is quiet, and everyone seems to know one another. I stayed in the spare room, and my friends stayed in the lofts. The spare room was comfortable and faces the front of the house. My friends said the loft was equally comfortable. One thing to make clear if you plan on renting this home... the host does not provide bed linens, nor towels. Be sure to bring those, or you can rent them from the host. The host provides shampoo & conditioner, but no soap. Bring that too. The other thing to note is that the master bedroom and lower level of the home are off limits. I only mention this in case you didn't read the whole description in the ad. That is all mentioned there. I found a note that said that these areas were monitored by cameras and sensors, which made a little uncomfortable because I wasn't sure if there were any in the rest of the house, but I didn't see any, so I don't think there were. Other than that, it was a great relaxing weekend. Great for a weekend getaway. I brought my dog Max, and he really enjoyed it. Ocean City was about a 15 minute drive. He enjoyed the beach, and Assateague State Park is about 20 minutes away. It was great to wake up and sit out on the deck by the water and read a book. I forgot my laptop charger, and the host was willing to mail it back to me, but since we both work in DC, I was able to meet her. She was very nice and seemed genuinely concerned if I had enjoyed my stay.

    Andre2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Marie's place is clean and in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We did feel slightly unwelcome with all the post it notes everywhere reminding us of what we were not supposed to do. It felt like we were paying for the sins of those staying before us. Perhaps some more positive phrasing and some more trust for those airbnber's who have consistent positive reviews. The house was very nice, but we did feel like we were walking on eggshells the entire time. I would go for a more welcoming host in the future.

  • Noah and Carolyn were nice to let us rent their home for 3 days. My brother in law and his wife are visiting from South Korea and we wanted to show them one of the nicest hidden spots in the United States. They were very pleased and loved the town of Crisfield. It is an experience that they will never forget. If it hadn't been for Noah and Carolyn letting us rent their home the trip wouldn't have been as comfortable as it was. Everything that you could need was there and when we got tired of touring the house was only a short distance. We would recommend this house to anyone who would like to stay in Crisfield.

    Milo2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Noah and Carolyn’s home is simply delightful. If you are in need of a cottage that is impeccably clean, filled with useful amenities, close to everything, and quiet, this is the place for you!

    Kelli2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! Newly renovated and sparkling clean. The ‘house info book’ was amazingly thorough and helpful. Noah and Carolyn were most accommodating and quick to respond. Noah is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared some grand stories.

    Sue2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect little house for us. Noah and Carolyn have stocked the house with everything you need for a comfortable stay and information on exploring the town. We had bikes with us and were able to ride around to see many of the sights and to many great local restaurants. We were able to rent a canoe at Janes State Park to explore some of the waterways. I ate my first soft shell crab, had a slice of Smith Island cake and some delicious crab cakes. As we are from California, we may not have the opportunity to return to Crisfield, but have some great memories and would recommend spending some time here if you can.

    Leigh2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, immaculately maintained home. Excellent value. We come down each year for the CCA RedTrout fishing tournament. Hope to return to Noah and Carolyn's place next year!

    Madelaine2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time using Airbnb and it went great! David's place was clean and well stocked with everything you could think of, for a reasonable price!

    Summer2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • A nice family vacation home, plenty of room, everything you need even for a long stay, like full kitchen equipped with everything you need for cooking even something not very basic, washer + dryer, linen and towels. The house is located in a very quiet street but also very close to the Main street, all restaurants, supermarket and lovely city park overlooking the channel with wonderful views on the bridge, boats, and endless skies. David has been very helpful and even provided us (and all other guests I bet) with the pass to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, the place where you go for birdwatching trails, beautiful lighthouse and the beach. There was also coffee, snacks, some basic foods and plenty of bottled water in the house, which was very handy. Thank you David!

    Marina2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Lighthouse is as stated in David's Profile. It has all the basics a guest might need. The kitchen was stocked with sufficient dishes, pots and pans, bakeware, silverware and glasses for 2-4 guests. There were even some spices and (surprise!) snacks in the cupboards. The rooms were clean and freshly painted. The livingroom was cozy and comfortable, but the TV only plays DVDs. We did find that the local grocery store has a Red Box for DVD rentals. The selection was good, so we had current movies to watch in the evening. The availability of Wifi made smartphone usage easier. The beds were made up and the linens clean. Cleaning supplies and laundry supplies were readily available. The washer and dryer were in good working order. The nights were cool, but the heat worked great, so we were toasty. After a long day of hiking through the Chincoteague NWR and wandering around the quaint little town, the queen-sized bed was very comfortable and made for an easy transition to sleep. One of the best aspects of the Lighthouse is the privacy and peacefulness. There are no neighbors behind, except birds and squirrels. The cardinals welcomed us with song every morning and in the evening, the resident owl hooted quietly. I caught a glimpse of it as it flew over one night. The residents of the other half of the duplex were very quiet. We barely knew they were home. David was easily accessible by phone when we had questions. He provided a binder filled with local information that we found helpful. Also, as David states, this home is within walking distance of restaurants, the grocery and the local shops on Main St. The sun setting over the channel is gorgeous. Be sure to check out the Creamery on Maddox St. for "homemade" ice cream, DELICIOUS!

  • A lot of space, especially for two people. Well located, except there’s a long, bumpy private road that separates the house from the rest of the area. There was an issue with ‘the maid’, but other than that, a good vacation spot

  • Off the beaten path on a dead end, but close to everything. Home was neat and tidy, extra bonus was the washer and dryer. Garage space if you wanted to rent bikes and store them safely. Great communication and flexibility of check in. Good stay, thank you!

  • What a lovely room and a great value being so close to the beach. We zipped over to Chincoteague in about 30 minutes, no problem! The space was clean and very soothing. The super comfortable mattress was a huge plus! Jean was very accommodating with check in and overall just very welcoming. Highly recommend this place!

  • My first Airbnb experience. Way more personal than a hotel/motel. The home and space was charming, well kept, and perfect for our stay. Jean is very pleasant and obviously takes pride in her rental space and house and works hard at presenting the perfect room and space on arrival. If I was in the area ever again I’d much rather stay here than a hotel.

  • Jean’s place was just perfect. We arrived late and she was very accommodating. The house was super clean and cozy. Snow Hill is an adorable town and Jean’s place made our stay perfect. Her hospitality couldn’t have been better. Thank you and we look forward to coming to stay again soon!

  • Diane's place is perfect. Everything from the cute toys in the room, to the nurturing hand soap, to the aromatheraphy that immediately relaxes you, to the bed that feels like the warmest hug, this place was awesome! The best AirBnB we have ever stayed in and will continue to visit. P.S. hours of fun playing with the "pinscreen"!!

  • Had a lovely evening in the music room! Beautiful garden in the back as well. Her handmade soaps were the cherry on top!

  • Diane was a fantastic host and had the most amazingly cute shop! My son and I spent a weekend close to Asseteague to enjoy the benefits without camping (since I’m not a camper). Diane was hospitable, helpful and the house was a real treat to stay in. We were fortunate to have it to ourselves and I think that’s what made even more special. The home and Diane made us fall in love with Snow Hill.

  • Very quite and calm place . We really had nice stay over there. Everything in room, bathroom and living room was organized very well.

  • Diane was a great host! She really thought about everything to allow utmost convenience. The only criticism I have is the temperature in the house. It was extremely hot during our night there. But otherwise, it was clean and comfortable!

    Nikitha2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Diane is a great host with a beautiful house and garden. She is accommodating and makes you feel right at home. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and had lots of samples for her guests. It is her attention to detail that sets it apart from other properties. It is a couple blocks from the center of town and in a beautiful neighborhood. We spent the evening enjoying a fire in the backyard. It was a very relaxing stay and I highly recommend it! Thanks Diane!

    Elena2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the Music Room, which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The house is a few blocks from the shops on Snow Hill. Electronic entry and exit makes it easy to come and go (and not have to carry an extra key around). You can try Diane's essential oil mixes which she sells in her shop in town. There's a lot to do and see in the area for nature lovers. If you're making a trip, I suggest staying for a few days.

  • I stayed in "The Retreat" for ten weeks during the summer while I was in the area for an internship. The room is spacious and relaxing, and well-suited for long-term stays. Even at times when the other two rooms on the same floor were occupied, the house was always quiet. Snow Hill is a beautiful small town and the house is only a short walk away from the downtown area. Diane is an amazing host and goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Since she knew I was on the opposite side of the country as all of my family and friends, she included me in activities. On my first night, the ac wasn't working well, and before I could even mention the issue, she informed me that someone was coming to check it out, and ac was replaced before I was ever uncomfortable. I highly recommend any of the rooms in the house whether you are in the area for work or vacation, and I look forward to returning the next time I'm in the area.

    Rebecca2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • All of Diane’s rooms are immaculate and tastefully decorated! They are filled with items that bring joy to your senses such as wonderful smells, beauty, softness, and quiet. She does all she can to be sure all your needs are met. There is not one thing that she has not thought of for comfort . I have stayed many other places that disappointed me for much more money. Her prices are more than amazing! I will stay again. You will not be disappointed staying here. Lindy Davis

  • Very sweet host and a beautiful house! It's close to downtown, the neighborhood is adorable and the room is very cozy. Diane offered ideas for things to do downtown, and was generally really helpful and nice. If I get the chance, I will definitely stay again.

  • This was my first visit to the town of Snow Hill, and I just loved it! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Folks smile and say hello to you as you walk about town, and strangers welcome you at restaurants and shops. Many invite you to sit down and chat. When people asked where I was staying, everyone seemed to know Diane and just raved about her. She is greatly loved by the community of Snow Hill! While I didn’t get to meet Diane in person as she was traveling on vacation, Diane was super communicative via AirBnB messaging. The Retreat is nestled on a quiet residential street while still being conveniently located so that one can get to and from everything on foot in this lovely, artsy, little town. The only time I drove my car was after taking a mid-day nap and being possibly late for my dinner reservation at The Blue Dog Cafe. I was at The Retreat during some of the hottest and most humid days of the summer, and was quite comfortable, especially with the ceiling fan spinning and the dehumidifier on in the room. The backyard looked lovely and inviting, though with the extreme heat wave I gravitated toward all things air-conditioned!

A quaint beach cottage located in the heart of Chincoteague Island. A five minute walk to all the main attractions and a 15 minute bike ride to the Beach. This newly renovated cottage is a tranquil getaway that invites you to refresh and relax.
This house features a beautiful cedar outdoor shower and changing room, a large lawn for family gatherings, a fire pit and screened in porch overlooking a scenic side street from Maddox Blvd.
This house is located just two blocks over from Maddox Blvd. It is nestled very centrally on the Island between many amenities. A 6 minute walk to Island Creamery and within sight of Dollar General, Sunsations, the ABC store and the pharmacy. The popular food truck Pico is also two blocks away, as is the local bank. The bike path to the beach is easily accessible and is only a short 15 minute bike ride away.
  • Adorable, beachy elegant decor, quiet block. The home has everything you could need: extra blankets, towels, beach towels, kitchen supplies. There are games for indoors and out. Walking distance to town and shops. Great yard. Bike to the beach. The owner even contacted us to say that we could check out later than check out time because there was no one coming that day- so thoughtful and very appreciated! Perfect stay!

    Kelly2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is just the most adorable cottage EVER. Truly a dream stay. Stephanie was so helpful and there are tons of local tips and helpful hints. The porch was my favorite part of the house with its swing and hammock chair. My five year old and I hung out there the entire time. The yard is amazing for kids. You can walk everywhere but you are on a side street. The cars on the street can be a little loud, but it is a trade off for being so close to everything. The decor makes you feel like you are living at the beach. We were there during torrential rain, so having a washer and dryer was amazing. And the bed was super comfy. I cannot recommend this little gem more! I cannot WAIT to go back.

  • The host canceled this reservation 17 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Kel2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • this quaint Cottage in the Chincoteague was very centrally located and was a perfect fit for our family of four. Stephanie has added some very nice touches for comfort, including: the hammock in the screened in porch which was very cozy place to sit and listen to the birds first thing in the morning, the hammock, fire pit, and cornhole game in the side yard, the patio furniture on the newly built wood deck, the spa like outdoor shower, and the very convenient washer and dryer room and outdoor clothesline. The cottage was very clean, and there were more than plenty towels and linens. The kitchen is fully equipped. She even provides a couple of bicycles, and a beach pass which was greatly appreciated! Without it, access to Assateague Island is $20 a car load each time you enter it. Having never been to Chincoteague before, we used several of Stephanie's eating and grocery recommendations, which were all top notch, and we left the car in the driveway to go to the shops along Maddox Boulevard. Our favorites were Pico Taqueria and Island Creamery, both which we ate at more than once. Stephanie was always available bye Airbnb email when I had any questions. She was the most gracious host, and I would highly recommend her place to anyone visiting Chincoteague.

  • My in laws stayed here for our wedding weekend and it went super smoothly! They had nothing but good things to say about the house and the location was perfect

    Dallas2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • As first time visitors to Chincoteague, we could not be happier with our decision to stay at this adorable cottage! The location is ideal…within walking distance to shops & restaurants, just a quick ride to the beach & National Wildlife Refuge, but quiet and peaceful at night. This was also our first time booking through AirBnB, and Stephanie made the whole process a breeze! She is a terrific host…very responsive, patient, courteous & thorough. She provided many helpful recommendations & detailed information about the Island that we appreciated. The cottage is super cute, clean, comfortable & inviting. The space is very well planned out, decorated with a beachy vibe & thoughtful touches throughout. There are plenty of windows, making it bright and airy, with ceiling fans & air conditioners in almost every room, so temperature is never a concern. The outdoor shower was very convenient for rinsing off after spending the day outdoors. We also really enjoyed spending evenings on the screened in front porch & loved relaxing on the bench & hammock swings. Stephanie has thought of every detail & created a perfect beach getaway. We would not hesitate to recommend "Once Upon a Tide" to family & friends, or anyone who considering booking. My only regret is that we did not stay longer! But we hope to return to Chincoteague & will try to stay at "Once Upon a Tide again"!

  • The linens are extra soft. The neighborhood is quiet. She has everything labeled so it is super simple to find everything. The hand crafted soap and aromatherapy was much needed and appreciated. I even bought two items that she had available for sale via the honor system in the guest bath. $4 for minted nail files and a scrub soap (which was excellent for removing layers of sunscreen, DEET and sand). Highly suggested as it is affordable and adorable!!!

  • Diane was a wonderful host! My sister and I had a wonderful stayi in the "play room." The decor was eclectic and fun. The beds were twin size but super cozy! I slept better in the twin bed at Diane's than I do in my queen bed at home, I'm convinced it's the essential oils pillow spray that she has in the room for guests to use. Diane also owns a holistic shop in town that has all kinds of essential oils! I would 100% stay here again!

Trivial fact : Nine out of every 10 living things live in the ocean. Beach towns have well- earned the reputation for being undeniably noisy and crowded. We are close to the beach, without all the clutter and noise. That is why many travelers choose our tranquil and safe location for their beach vacation and get much needed get away. (Also why we choose to live here) Nice to spend the day at the beach with all the fun activities and then come home to our upscale neighborhood that has peace, safety, and quiet uninterrupted sleep. (There are no hotels or motels on the beach, another reason we live here) The Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge is on Assateague Island (VA side) it is overseen by the Fish & Wildlife It follows different rules. Wildlife Refuge names include the name of the closest town with a Post Office... hence Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. (on Assateague Island) The Assateague National Seashore is largely on the Maryland side run by the National Park Service. On a recent visit to the visitor's center near the beach in VA, I was told that the National Park Service only oversees the area of the beach in VA where the lifeguards are stationed and also the Visitor's Center itself and that the rest falls under the jurisdiction of the Dept. Fish & Wildlife. Once you have booked, will be sending you lots of links for places to go, things to see, and our favorite food destinations. Since we live on the property you can always ask us any questions you may have. All the best, John and Teresa Garland Airbnb designated Super Host
  • Very big thank you to John and Teresa for such a memorable stay. I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday by taking him to Chincoteage island, and Teresa was kind enough to make him homemade birthday cupcakes! The room was very cute and quaint. The location is nearby the beaches which is wonderful. We appreciate how communicative they were by letting us know what to explore around the area. Did I mention the yummy breakfast that was served to in the mornings?! Our 2 night stay truly felt like a home away from home. It was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to return!

  • John and Teresa were wonderful hosts. They were easy to communicate with, and provided lots of great help knowing the area and planning a visit to Chincoteague. Their helper Ashley provided great breakfasts and was quite attentive to our needs.

  • This place is in a private quiet neighborhood but still close enough to the beach to enjoy everything. The hosts here are absolutely amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!

I call it my little shoebox, my place is decorated shabby chic and has only the necessities. There isn't central air(there's a window a/c unit in the living room that keeps the house cool, there are also individual electric fans in each room for comfort) or lights in the ceiling except the hallway/kitchen/bathroom and the rest of the house has lamps. The house is in the historic town nudged between the city and islands. Anything you need you can find within 20min food, mall, movies, etc.
My house is unique because its small and minimalistic. I love candles and color but avoid clutter so there's just enough there to create a positive living space. If you enjoy the small things you'll appreciate the nice smells (each room has a different candle/smell), the items I've decorated with that I've gathered from my travels, and an inviting host. The town is also really cute, it has a couple antique shops, a park, and other small stores worth a stroll. I like taking morning walks on the weekend to explore the little historic town.
My coldersac is comprised of 5 houses, all with families, except mine lol. I do live in Historic town and so the houses nearby reflect that. There are large historic houses nearby as well that are nice to look at. My house is tiny compared to the 3 story beautiful homes I am referring to.
  • Rachael is lovely and welcoming hostess. While the place is small like she says, it more than met my needs as a resting point after a full day at Chincoteague and before I headed on to Alexandria. She was open to questions and conversation, but also gave ample space and privacy.

  • You get what you pay for. We had a bit of an issue finding the place because the address was incorrect and info on how to get there was difficult to find on the website. Had to contact the host a few times just to get all the info. The bed creeked so loud it is best to just not move. The overall space was comfortable, probably should of slept in the living room hehe.
