Merci.

  • I miss this place before I even leave it! This was my second time around and I loved it even more than the first. Lana and her husband could not be better hosts. Can't wait to visit again, hopefully for more than just one night!

    Emily2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little cabin in the woods! Was a great place to be for a few nights. The shower outside was a fun little touch.

    Kelsey2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe's Cabin is the best thing around! The room is so warm and welcoming and Lana is the absolute best host ever! It was quiet, peaceful and the outdoor shower is so much fun! I loved this place and will be booking another stay as soon as I can find the time!

    Jeanette2015-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • It was beautiful! It was easy to find. Lana and her partner met us with a hug & welcome. We followed the twinkly Christmas lights up the path to the sweet little cabin in the woods. It was cozy & warm with big windows to see the gorgeous trees. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer.

    Caron2015-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you want to have a home base while visiting Port Townsend. Appreciated it being pet friendly. Host was wonderful.

    Zack2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • We felt completely welcome at this charming little cabin in the woods. Lana gave us tips like where to find the best bread in town, as well as sharing some of her delicious home-made granola with us! The cabin was very-well presented in the pictures with the listing and the outdoor shower was completely awesome. We can't wait to go back and spend some more time here.

    Terry2015-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was absolutely wonderful about the cabin, the location, the experience and especially Lana's kindness. We were very fortunate to have had Zoe's cabin recommended to us as it was a glorious weekend tucked away in the woods.

Watch great blue herons glide in for a landing while sipping your morning coffee in this large, airy, well-lit apartment. Your vacation get-away spot occupies the entire second floor of a cheery bright red barn on a small working farm.
Entirely private, the apartment’s many windows feature spectacular views of the property’s 11 acres of native wetlands, woodlands, gardens, and critters (chickens, ducks, goats, rabbits, 2 friendly dogs, and abundant wildlife). Vaulted cathedral ceilings make the 650 square feet seem even larger! The entire apartment has been recently refurbished with new appliances and fixtures. Electric baseboard heat, a cozy propane stove with flickering flames, windows that open, and an elegant ceiling fan keep the apartment comfortable and romantic year-round. The ample closets, drawers, and shelves will make you want to move in and stay forever.
Port Townsend, with its many cultural attractions, is a 12 minute drive from the apartment. We are centrally located to thriving local farms, wineries, and cideries. Maritime attractions include nearby marinas, whale watching, the Marine Science Center, and the Wooden Boat School. Many outstanding state and local parks are nearby with beautiful beaches, forests, and playgrounds. Easy walking distance to the county library.
  • The Great Blue Heron's Nest was a wonderful home to stay at! Everything in the apartment was setup and ready for us when we arrived, including a baby gate on the stairs to prevent our toddler from venturing onto them. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed and futon worked great, and the entire place was neat, clean and cozy. The enclosed room overlooking the farm was a great place to relax and enjoy the sun and farm animals. Cheri and Rocky were very accommodating and friendly and we were very glad to have them as hosts. And the animals were also a hit with the kids! Would definitely stay here again!

  • Cheri and her husband were wonderful! This was one of the best airbnb experiences I've ever had. The flat was adorable, clean, and well stocked with nibbles with wine. My friends and I appreciated the sweet touches and we enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you!

    Jude2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the most amazing AirBnB experiences we have had. The studio was done with a lot of love in a beautiful barn overlooking the hosts wonderful farm. They have the cutest (and friendliest goats! It is a bit like you get a petting zoo together with the amazing place. Cheri and her husband provided us with two bottles of wine, some amazing cheese, as well as tons of snacks. The AirBnB really made our stay over the weekend special.

    Linn2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the Great Blue Heron's Nest. It was close to so much we wanted to see on the Olympic Peninsula, yet the place had the very private feel of being in the country. Cheri and Rocky were gracious and generous; we especially enjoyed the fresh fruits and vegetables from the farm. I would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone.

    Pamela2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri is amazing, and the Great Blue Heron's Nest is absolutely beautiful. It's bigger than the pictures make it look, but it's hard to convey that in photos; other than that, it really is just as beautiful as it looks. Maybe moreso. My boyfriend and I felt so welcome. The little touches throughout the apartment really made our stay wonderful -- from the well-stocked kitchen that included not only almost any utensil you could possibly need, but also little snacks, coffee, and a variety of teas, to the beautiful bedding and new towels in the bathroom. Cheri compiled a comprehensive binder that answers any and every question you might possibly have about the apartment, from where things are located in the apartment to things to do in the area. Everything was so thoughtfully planned and crafted. Cheri was the consummate host. A few days before arrival, she sent an e-mail with detailed driving instructions, because she knew GPS would land us in a field (we never tested this, but the accuracy of her directions lead me to believe her), as well as a key code to the apartment. We arrived much later than initially anticipated (it's our own fault), but Cheri made sure to turn the lights and heater on for us. One of my only regrets is that we didn't take the time to chat more with her and Rocky; they are lovely people, run a lovely farm, and I'm sure they'd be great to get to know. Alas, getting to know one's hosts and having a romantic weekend to oneself are opposing goals. Next time. My boyfriend hope to spend many more getaways at the Great Blue Heron's Nest, in the wonderful care of Cheri.

  • Lovely setting and nice snacks- and wine

    Nancy2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri's place was absolutely amazing! It was clean, spacious, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Our baby and 4 year old loved the toys and the animals, we could see the goats from our window. Us adults were happy with the comfortable beds and the sunroom where we spent a relaxing evening reading, listening to the birds. Cheri's place is in a nice location, about 20 mins to Sequim and 10 mins to Port Townsend, which was a beautiful town. Cheri and Rocky were great hosts, Rocky took our daughter to feed the chickens, which Nora loved! All in all, we recommend Cheri's place, we wish we could have stayed longer, as it was very relaxing!

    Susanne2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cheri is an amazing host. The Blue Heron's Nest was a lovely place to stay. The surroundings were beautiful, and the space was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Cheri had snacks, wine, coffee, tea, as well as other food stuff available for us. We loved watching the goats and chickens from the sun room.

Suite View is close to Port Townsend with all its restaurants, parks, art and culture. We are on a bluff overlooking Port Townsend Bay. The view is spectacular with nearby beaches. You’ll love Suite View because of the outside fire pit area, coziness, the kitchen, and the location. Suite View provides easy access to the bus line. (Parking is limited during busy weekends in Port Townsend) It is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Suite View provides a private and peaceful getaway. This is an animal-free space. It has a sweet view from a bluff overlooking Port Townsend Bay. Mt. Baker, Indian Island and the Victorian seaport of Port Townsend are all visible. The private apartment is modern with big windows and a fully equipped, generous kitchen. From the queen bed watch the twinkling lights of Port Townsend. Outside in the secluded garden sit around a fire and just enjoy. We are close to the Irondale Beach Park, Fort Flagler on Marrowstone Island, Port Townsend and so much more.
  • 15 min from Port Townstead, quick and easy drive. Gorgeous view, very close to market for necessities....highlight is the fire pit that provides the foundation for a toasty water view from your secluded bluff- hosts provided wood and kindling. Hosts were super sweet, totally would recommend!

  • Gorgeous views, meticulously clean - relaxing getaway! We will definitely stay here again next time we need a quick getaway. Easy to find and great location for cider touring. This has been one of our top AirBnB stays!

  • On a clear day you can see forerver! Or at least to Port Townsend and a peak-a-boo shot at Whidbey Island. This little gem is in a tiny town. If you blink, you will miss it. It is private, quiet, has everything, and great access to fun places in the surrounding area. The hosts are so relaxed and extremely accommodating. I would always stay here, over Port Townsend.

  • Christine's apartment had everything I needed for a comfortable 11-day stay. The apartment oasis is hard to appreciate from the road, but the garden and water views are beautiful and different each day. The bed is super comfy and so is the apartment. Christine communicated well and made everything easy.

    Mary2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very peaceful place and just what we needed for our "Getaway from the City." Christine and John are very thoughtful hosts, making sure we had everything we need. They were super at communicating whenever we had questions, both before and during our stay. The decor is perfect; simple, tasteful, and colorful. Lovely accent pieces and Christine's original photographs made for a very restful interior. The neighborhood is very quiet, and of course, the view is Amazing! We definitely reccomend this unit!

    Rick2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's apartment was more than we had pictured! Very spacious and comfortable. Nice bed/bedding, windows toward the bay, great kitchen and bath and the View!! So relaxing. She left brochures and maps for the area and good suggestions for restaurants. We could have stayed there a long time!! Thanks, Christine

    Christy2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Christine was a wonderful and generous hostess. She let us borrow a baking dish, enjoy a fire in her backyard pit, and recycled for us. The perch above the active waterway was beautiful day and night. We have already recommended this gem to family and friends.

    Lori2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Suite View was a quiet, peaceful home away from home for us. The panoramic view of Puget Sound is amazing. The hosts are friendly and welcoming and we appreciated the convenient location. (Just a few miles to Port Townsend.) If we could give the hosts 10 stars for cleanliness we would! You will love the thoughtful amenities and comfy bed after a long day of walking and exploring the area.

We also have local farmers markets with local produce and craft for sale.
  • A true farm / ranch setting within the woods. Quiet and cozy; well appointed clean room, a bit of a walk to the bathroom. Connie was very friendly and helpful host.

  • Everything but the kitchen sink! There's a water machine and tons of amenities in this little studio to make up for the smooth 75' outdoor walk to the bathroom.

    Carlton 2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space is lovely. The birds and wildlife are heart warming. I loved look out the studio window and watching a person work her horse in the ring. Would have loved to take advantage of the property. The bathroom is private but not part of the studio space. Not bad but noted in case that could be an issue for middle of the night users. :-)

    Lisa2017-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • Connie could not have done more to make me feel welcome. Room was clean and comfortable and included lots of drinks, snacks and a continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again!

Serene getaway with garden and seaview for couples and solo adventurers. This studio is a comfortable guest house with large windows to see garden and sea views. It is close to the beach to play or relax.
Seaclusion Cottage is located in Port Hadlock, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula, just minutes from the historic Victorian seaport of Port Townsend. Enjoy our tranquil garden setting as you overlook the water, or head out to explore one of the many sights in our surrounding area.
Relax or Play! Walk the beach at Chimacum Creek in front of our house. For easy walking we are close to Fort Townsend State Park and HJ Carroll County Park. Walk one of the many trails in nearby Olympic National Forest or visit Olympic National Park. Delicious Mexican food is close by, 5 minutes driving time, at San Juan Taqueria. In the heart of farmland in Chimacum visit Finnriver Farm to taste excellent hard cider and on the weekends there is sure to be pizza and oysters and in winter there's bratwursts too. Get out on the water - take a whale watching trip from Port Townsend.
  • Susie was a wonderful host. The cottage is exactly as magical as advertised and even more breathtaking in person! It had everything we needed for a relaxed, peaceful weekend out of the city in the quiet and beauty of nature. The garden and gazebo are just gorgeous with access to the beach right around the corner. We spent a great day in Port Townsend as part of the trip and found that we were 20 minutes from night life, museums, and whale tours if we wanted to get out and explore. I would highly recommend booking this beautiful escape for your next trip - your host and accommodations will not disappoint!

  • This was a true retreat! Howard and Suzanne though of everything. The local touches (food, soap, decor) were extra thoughtful and made us excited to return. We can't rave enough about the view and accessibility to adventure.

    Vanessa2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space and view, hostess is very thoughtful and offered good suggestions as to what to do/eat while out and about. We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet, kid-free weekend and didn't ever feel cramped or rushed. We would love to come back again.

  • This was a perfect spot for a weekend getaway - quick access to state parks and beaches, only ~15 min drive to Port Townsend. Beautiful and comfortable cottage with great amenities. An unbeatable view to wake up to each morning, and the breakfast was incredible!

    Margaret2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • You know how food tastes better when someone makes it with love? That principle apparently applies to other endeavors as well, such as lovingly creating and hosting a guest space. Susie and Howard have created such a beautiful, cozy, warm, and inviting getaway. We were thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail and level of thoughtfulness in appointing the cottage and outdoor space. Susie provided excellent recommendations for our anniversary dinner and for outdoor activities. They were available and warm and generous, while also respectful of privacy. The cottage and the views are even more spectacular than in the photos. We felt so welcomed and celebrated throughout our anniversary/holiday stay and look forward to returning!!

    Erin2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Suzanne and Howard's cottage. It is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for a somewhere with a water view that is quiet a just a bit off the beaten path. Our hosts were very hospitable and the farm to table breakfast provided was delicious. The location was very convenient as we could easily get to Port Townsend and we were also able to go for a drive into the mountains or to the nearby cidery. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Doug & Shaunae's place makes for a great getaway spot. It's close to Olympic National Park and a lot of great waterside towns. The space is very clean, well organized and stylish. Doug and Shaunae were there on my arrival and they were friendly and helpful in giving directions and recommendations for day hikes. • We really enjoyed our stay. They are located less than 15 minutes (driving) from downtown Port Townsend, on a lovely wooded property that is super quiet and private. The rooms are spotless and very well appointed. We only stayed one night, but this would also be a terrific base for longer trips as it comes with everything but a stove and is within easy exploration distance of Port Townsend, Marrowstone Island, Sequim, Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, etc.

    Josh2017-10-08T00:00:00Z

  • Peatt's home is quaint, comfortable, eclectic and welcoming. Easily would work for two couples - a door separates the chapel from the other half of the house and both sides have sitting areas. Linens were clean and comfy, the garden charming. A reasonable quick distance to activities in Port Townsend. Thanks for the stay!

  • Fantastic place! Perfect in every way!

    Stacey2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Peatt's place was beyond charming. From the fireplace, to the well-equipped kitchen, to the comfortable couches and beds, it is evident that there is a great deal of care that goes into maintaining this house. Staying here was definitely the highlight of my work trip. There is no doubt that I will seek it out if I ever find myself in this area again.

  • Our stay at Peatt's home was peaceful, inviting, and cozy. Peatt's home had a charm unique to Port Townsend, and her personality shines throughout the home's decor. Communicating with her was a breeze, and the home was even more beautiful in person. I recommend staying at Peatt's home to the AirBnB community.

  • What a super special place! The chapel is wonderfully decorated and filled with hidden gems. A wonderful experience- sleeping on the altar! Peatt left us a delicious breakfast- duck eggs, fresh bread and delicious honey. So close to town, yet a total country feel. Definitely would love to stay there again. Thanks Peatt!

  • This was my first stay using AirBnB and it was wonderful. So nice to stay in a home, not a hotel. The house was clean, the bed comfortable, and the breakfast food left out was wonderful - nice whole food nutritious snacks and breakfasts. What a treat when traveling. The house is a quick 12 minute drive to the beautiful town of Port Townsend with lots of great restaurants there. Peatt was great about sending a text message with any info I asked for. Highly recommend for a couple or two couples, looking for something better than a sterile hotel!

  • We were greeted right away by the host upon making the booking. The description of the space was completely accurate, and the neighborhood was quiet and pleasant and close to town. We were two couples, and the space was roomy and perfect for us, since there were two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The kitchen was very nice, and the wi-fi worked well. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Peatt's chapel home in Port Townsend. As others have mentioned, the photos don't do it justice. It's a very unique, cozy, and fun place to hang out with a great kitchen. We loved that the property was so close to the water for walks. Peatt was very gracious and helpful during our stay with quick email replies and even left us free Mimosa ingredients for our arrival.

  • This place is beautiful. It was a pretty view and tons of valuable amenities. Paul is also a great communicator and helped us out at every turn. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

  • This home is even more beautiful than the pictures suggest - the views onto the water (and mountains, when they peak through the clouds) were so special and serene. The beds were great, the bedding and towels were incredibly soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the cooking utensils and pots and pans that we needed (coffee maker too). Paul was a great and fast communicator. This was the perfect location for a quiet getaway. Thanks!

  • Our stay at Braemar on the Bay was a great family escape for the holiday weekend. We hosted a group of six utilizing the 1 bedroom and both pull out couches. Although there is only 1 bedroom this is a spacious house with a large kitchen and dining room. The Master bedroom has an equally large walk-in closet, and master bathroom. Through out the house are beautiful one of kind wooden features. Paul and his wife were fantastic hosts and very responsive all of our needs at check in and check out. They left a thorough handbook for the area, and provided a handful of home goods that made our stay carefree. Overall great stay would highly recommend, and would stay again.

  • Braemar on the Bay is a wonderful, relaxing, quaint place. Property has a great view of the bay. Enjoy a mixture of modern and old fashion style once inside. Paul is a great host and all that his place offers comes with easy detailed instructions. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing weekend getaway!

  • This is a lovely home - very spacious with wonderful water views from the front porch and forest views from the back dining table. We enjoyed trying out the AGA stove and just relaxing in front of the fire and enjoying the view. The house is on a very quiet side street, so it has a secluded feel even though it is on a residential street. Paul was great and we'd definitely come back again!

  • Paul and LuAnn have an amazing home, the aga oven is pretty neat and they have literally everything you need in a quaint and beautiful home. Great immersive experience with the bay and nature, a must stay if its available!!!

  • Rene and Steve were a delight. My last evening there they invited me to a grilled salmon dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed Steve's Blackberry Cobbler. Their AIRBNB unit is spotless, with every imaginable convenience included. Four people can be easily accommodated. Although it's not in the city the drive to downtown is only about 10 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

  • We were very pleased with this booking. My sister, mother, and I traveled to the Olympic Peninsula and used this location as our home base and it was very welcoming! There was a full size bed in the bedroom, a full size futon in the front room as well as a couch so it slept three adults just fine (if you don't mind sharing the bed). Rene was a great host and was very helpful in communicating with us how to get to their home, even making sure we knew to make ferry reservations for the route we had chosen to take to Port Townsend. If you are traveling from Coupeville to Port Townsend, I would strongly recommend you check the sailing schedule and call ahead and make reservations for the ferry you want to sail on. Her home is 5 miles out of Port Townsend itself but that was one of the best parts, it was in a quiet neighborhood and even though it is right by the airport, I didn't even really hear airplane traffic much. Upon arrival, we saw a deer in the yard next to hers and a bunny rabbit in her yard. We enjoyed the back yard garden and picnic area and the morning and evening visits from their very friendly dog and cat. The only negative was that the guests before us didn't do a very good job washing the dishes and put them away somewhat dirty but that was the only down side to the whole stay. When we told Rene about it, she said she will make sure that doesn't happen for future bookings. There is a washer and dryer in the main bathroom and the chance to do laundry was a true bonus because we went on an afternoon kayak trip from Fort Warden and came back with wet clothes. Rene was very flexible and accommodating on our check in/out times. I would highly recommend this to anyone - it is a great bargain for the area and much nicer than staying in a hotel!

    Beth2014-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Rene's place. The apartment was spotless, easily accommodates 3-4 overnight guests, is well equipped and has everything one would need. There is a great yard, a grill and a covered patio. It's a quick car trip to several State Parks and minutes from downtown Port Townsend. Rene and Steve were lovely hosts. Highly recommended for a getaway.

  • This is a great place near Port Townsend. It was easy to get to the town. The stay was fantastic and easy. The space is very nice and clean. Rene was very nice and made us feel right at home. We enjoyed being able to relax and hop into Port Townsend for our whale watching adventure. We would definitely stay again and recommend to it friends.

  • This apartment was very clean and comfortable. The hosts made sure that we (and our dogs) felt welcome on the property, and even brought us a HUGE bowl of fresh crab! The location is great - less than ten minutes from downtown Port Townsend, close to stores, down the street from Fort Townsend State Park. Four of us stayed comfortably inside, and we were allowed to have two others tag along and pitch a tent in the yard. Would recommend to a friend.

  • Room was huge with a hot tub, fireplace, and excellent view of the marina. Appliances were new, plenty of towels provided, and room was clean. Only downside was a problem with the thermostat - the room was very warm and we had to sleep with the windows open. The room also had a skylight so it got really bright in the morning, although that didn't trouble us.

Located 1/2 mile from airport in wooded setting. A short walk to a large pond with blue heron and mallard ducks. Renee loves to play the guitar and welcomes anyone who has an ear for music to join in. Dave has a 28 foot sailboat and can be talked into taking people for a sail on Townsend Bay. There is a shared bathroom upstairs with host and a bathroom downstairs.
The private bedroom has a deck and shares a private bathroom with host.
We live in a wooded setting at the end of a cul de sac. There are 20 acres of woods behind the house that is home to deer, coyotes, birds, raccoon and other wild life.
  • David was very kind to my friend and I. He came back from a thanksgiving dinner at church to open the door just for us, he gave us many suggestion for the next day trip (thanks to him we had a great hike), and he cooked French toast for us as breakfast. I appreciate his help. His house is around 15 minutes drive to downtown Fort Townsend and 17 minutes to the state park.

  • David and LaRae provided a comfortable room for me during my visit to the area for a wedding. The bed was fluffy and the neighborhood quiet. I even got a tour of the beautiful tiny homes David builds!

    Alexa2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • David's home was super nice and the room was great! It was a very quiet area and in a location that made it easy to access Port Townsend and Sequim. Dave's 17-month old german shepard was so nice and well behaved. I would definitely recommend Dave's place to a friend!

  • Stay was fantastic. David has a wonderful property just south of Port Townsend, covered in trees and his wonderful cozy cottage creations. He was very warm and welcoming and told us about the history of the area and the wooden ship building process. He even made breakfast! This is a great stay, with room to explore and a host that will be as accommodating as you desire. Stay here for a relaxing vacation and learn a little while you're at it!

    Richard2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clean room and comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful hosts. The wooded property is beautiful and the balcony off the bedroom is nice touch. We kept the balcony door open all night and enjoyed the fresh air.

    Joe2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our host's property is a great place to sleep while exploring Port Townsend and the Olympic peninsula. It was away from the downtown area and a car is necessary to access services. Our host runs a business on the property ( tiny home builder) and as such the artifacts of that business are evident everywhere. Our hosts were cordial and allowed us to come and go as we pleased. There were several friendly dogs on the property who enjoyed being played with. The room we stayed in was clean and the bed was comfortable although the house itself looked disorganized and not in keeping with the room we stayed in. That is not to say it was unclean just not inviting enough to stay around the house. All in all with a few minor improvements, this would be a great place to stay.

    Patrick2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was great meeting everyone and sharing fun times and touring the main strip with the wifey and the hubby was great with the sailing information. I was sad I had to leave so soon, but will keep in touch about building a tiny house.

    Amanda2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • David was there to greet us and help us into the house. He was extremely welcoming and pleasant. I would have loved to schedule an extra day there just to spend talking with him and going out on his sailboat, unfortunately we already had plans. We will definitely be staying there again!!

Very nice and comfortable two full-size beds with private full bath (hot water on demand!). House kitchen available if you need to use it. Property is in 5 acres and very close to State Parks. There is another listing (another bedroom with a queen bed) you can also rent if you are more than two. (Check Mi Casa es Su Casa). Portable electric heater.
I would like you to feel at home away from home as much as possible. I have traveled a lot and I know how I want to be treated. You can be private in your space, or share stories with us :)
Woodland Hills is quite a nice and quite neighborhood. Nice 5 acre or more properties. Nature at its best. Close to downtown.
  • Helena is a wonderful hostess and her home is beautiful. I wanted to stay longer! The rooms are clean and well furnished so I felt completely comfortable. This will be my first choice to stay any time I come to Port Townsend.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and Helena set the bar high for all other hosts to follow. She went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute request and was super attentive with her communications to coordinate our arrival. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, comfortable and private. Helena was gracious and personable. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to visit with her and hear about her amazing travels.

  • Erik called and made sure I had everything I needed before my stay at his Kala Point Condo. The check-in process was smooth and everyone I met was very helpful. The pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were highlights for us since it was a very stormy weekend.

  • This is a cozy, quiet, comfortable condo in a beautiful conifer and rhododendron rich environment. The condo was immaculately clean, had comfortable beds, and had been fitted out as a timeshare, so you'll find everything you need to set up housekeeping for a night or a week. Erik is a marvelous host. He responded quickly to questions, provided a wonderfully informative document about the condo and surrounding area, and gave us the feeling that if needed, he would be right there to help.

A one-of-a-kind experience awaits at the historical Chimacum House centrally nestled in the heart of the Chimacum Valleys' renowned organic farming community. One of the oldest pioneer homes on the Olympic Peninsula, this 1890-era farmhouse has been painstakingly restored and features original old-growth fir construction, rustic yet classic design elements, a storied legacy of uses as a schoolhouse and residence of prominent citizens, and is in close walking distance of our major attractions.
This is a very unique space unlike any other you will find. It is best suited for couples or friends without children who have a sense of adventure to explore the Chimacum Valleys and surrounding areas. This is an owner-occupied private residence and cannabis-friendly home located on the same heritage homestead, but distinctly different legal property, as the neighboring Chimacum Cannabis Company. Cannabis connoisseurs and tourists have found the best kept secret in Washington.
Experience first-hand the organic food Renaissance in the Chimacum Valleys where the old world of artisan food creation is the new way to go. Pick up fresh goat cheese and meet the goats at the farm, sip hand-crafted ciders, witness the art of cheese making and try your hand at pickling. Chimacum blends old town history and a past steeped in natural resource production with a growing population of small scale farmers revisiting authentic ways to produce food in a modern world. Within a very short walking distance of the Chimacum House, guests can avail themselves of the best products and services the Chimacum farming community has to offer. These include: The Finnriver Organic Farm & Cidery - A 33-acre certified organic family farm and popular tourist destination that is on the forefront of the Pacific Northwest hard cider revival. Committed to producing both traditional and innovative hard ciders using premium local ingredients, Finnriver maintains an authentically farmcrafted and land-based operation that features free live music each day every weekend in the summer and most of the rest of the year too. Many special festivals and events occur throughout the year as well. It is also a children and family friendly venue. The Chimacum Cannabis Company – Voted the best retail cannabis establishment by local Jefferson County and Port Townsend residents, a carefully curated recreational and medical marijuana shopping experience awaits within a creatively restored farmhouse and hand-built custom gallery designed to showcase the very best clean, organically grown cannabis products from around the Olympic Peninsula. TreeHawk Farms – One of Washington State’s premier producers of top-shelf quality, artisanal, hand-crafted cannabis. Family-owned and operated with deep historical ties to the land, the business is situated on property previously occupied by the Chimacum Valley Dairy. The Chimacum Corner Farmstand - An innovative community-sourced grocer featuring all sorts of fresh goodies from local farmers and other small business food and beverage producers. The Chimacum Farmers Market takes place here every Sunday in June through October from 10am to 2pm. It's the sweetest farmers market hands down. Not the biggest, not the most crowded, but utterly charming - exactly how we like it in farm country! The Keg & I – This local watering hole gives a smile and a nod to Chimacum’s storied past as a turn-of-the-century wilderness ranching community on the Olympic Peninsula. There was a famous book written by a young chicken rancher named Betty MacDonald in 1945 titled “The Egg & I” - the book upon which the Ma and Pa Kettle films were based. The Keg & I offers a wonderful selection of local and regional microbrews and hard ciders. Found within a remodeled 1911 farmhouse, it is a great place to chat with friends or catch the latest sporting event on television. The Chimacum Café - Old-time restaurant famous for tasty, homestyle meals and exceptional wild blackberry pie (in season, of course). Popular with locals, who frequent the tables, booths and lunch counter for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A worthy destination for visitors passing through and for old timers, who return again and again, drawn by the memories of the first time they discovered Chimacum Café. Farm’s Reach Café - A quaint and charming breakfast and lunch café, artisan bakery, and espresso bar which sources ingredients primarily from local organic farms and is located about 100 feet from Chimacum House. Red Dog Farm – Red Dog Farm, headed by Karyn Williams, is located just a few hundred feet from Chimacum Corner on Center Valley Road. Three Peas Farm is a co-housing farm and permaculture homestead. The guest bedroom has a shared bathroom. We are located in a serene wooded setting approximately 5 miles from downtown Port Townsend off highway 20 West. The room is suitable for up to two adults, but we also welcome families with young children. Note: We've built a dog run, a dog house is on the way. The inside of our house is not suitable for dogs.
Our residents have included farmers, chefs, naturalist, arborist, entrepreneurs, engineers, musicians and families. We're very in tune with sustainable living practices, intentional community, resource conservation, regenerative business, homesteading, raw and whole foods and all things green. We use organic farming practices and limit cleaning and construction products used on the property to natural materials with no significant risk of toxicity or chemical sensitivity.
Our "neighborhood" is made up of private homesteads on acreage in a forest setting.
  • Cute farm! We arrived late and left early so didn't spend much time exploring, but everything was clean and easy to find with the directions provided.

  • Amy was a great host! We enjoyed our stay and meeting their friendly dog Missha and their chickens! The kids were adorable and we barely noticed them in the morning hours. The place is also super clean. Thanks for having us!

  • Amy and Eric are wonderful hosts. I really enjoyed my stay with them and would definitely consider returning if I ever return to Port Townsend area. Very convenient to Port Townsend and I felt like I lived there because they are so welcoming. I loved all the organic teas, apples and other goodies offered to me and the room was perfect.

  • Everything went quite well, and I would assuredly stay here again. Amy, my host, as well as all other guests, were very kind and hospitable. My room was very clean, the mattress very comfortable, and the shared bath was also very clean with plenty of water pressure and hot water. I stayed two nights and slept soundly without any disturbances whatsoever. I enjoyed my stay!

  • Amy and Eric gave us a warm welcome, along with the other farm residents. Everyone was so friendly! The setting was lovely and peaceful, and it was a treat to sit out on the porch in the morning with a cup of and coffee

    Arielle2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Eric offered a clean, pleasant room in a bustling household. The house and grounds were lovely. We never saw the painted rock marking Black Bear Rd, and so we got off track for a few minutes when checking in, but we were able to backtrack to the fire hydrant pretty easily. Also, when we forgot our little cooler in the refrigerator, Amy messaged me and we were able to pick it up before leaving town, which was MUCH appreciated.

    Anna2017-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Three peas farm guest room was comfortable, quiet, clean, and delightful with a great view of the woods. It is not too far out of town for those who want to enjoy a restful family farm. The room was lovely and the other guests in the home were fun to get to know. Thankful for your generous family and hospitality! We hope to visit 3 Peas Farm again and see how it "grows"

    Anne2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the guest bedroom for one night. We were out and about most of the time, but our stay was good. It was really hot out and our room was uncomfortably warm so Amy kindly turned the AC on in the entire house. If you're interested in learning about permaculture seems like the place to stay.

  • Can't really call this a stay as much as an experience.. and it was wonderful! Close enough to town to be convenient, far enough to decompress. Would 100% stay here and recommend it highly to anyone in the area! Thanks Oceanna!

  • We had an amazing and peaceful stay at the Sunny Hilltop Hideaway. We've stayed at some fantastic Airbnbs, but this one fast become one of our all-time favorites. It's cozy, with a spacious kitchen and ample reading/writing/working room, and you can tell the space was built with love, and with lots of thought. It's beautiful, and has lots of charming character. (We wanted to teleport the bathroom to our house.) Linda and her husband were kind and wonderfully communicative hosts, and made sure we were comfortable at all times. We honestly can't think of a place we'd more readily stay than this one, and if you're looking for a Port Townsend getaway, you just found it!

    Matt & Kerri2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We were warmly greeted by our host Linda and later was intoduced to Robert. We couldn't have asked for a better situation. We had total privacy, with beautiful, country-like surroundings. Our hosts offered help if needed but every detail of our stay was taken care of and the apartment was immaculate, comfortable and well-designed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilltop Hideaway. Thanks to our gracious hosts!

    Irene2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's Hilltop Getaway is a true gem. The remodel choices that were made all come together in a very appealing way. The basement space is filled with lots of light. Floor to ceiling windows allowed for sipping our coffee in the morning while watching the songbirds and hummingbirds at the feeders and enjoying the cornucopia of colors in the flowerbeds. A quiet, peaceful stay with private entrance and covered patio, comfortable bed and sleeper sofa, well-equipped kitchen (coffee beans and grinder are a nice touch), easy 10-minute drive into PT, very friendly and welcoming host. Linda has managed to create a little piece of heaven. We wish we could have stayed a little longer and can't wait to return to the Hilltop Getaway, next time with our bikes so that we can take advantage of the nearby trail that goes all the way into PT. Danke schön, Linda, and Auf Wiedersehn!

  • You'll so enjoy your stay in this oasis on a hill. The apartment has everything and is clean as can be, very comfortable. Beauty and birds abound. Linda and Robert are fabulous hosts, friendly yet respectful of privacy. Linda has a great booklet on where to go while in Port Townsend. I'll definitely return and I'm a local!

    Kris2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place was great! She was very accommodating and friendly. The yard in front of the apartment was beautifully landscaped and there were all types of birds (including the humming birds at the feeders) that made it feel very homey. The apartment was light filled and roomy, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking implements. (Linda even let us borrow some Worcestershire sauce). We enjoyed the quiet remoteness of the hilltop, yet we were a just a short drive from Port Townsend (~4 miles). There was also a trail down to a pond that we didn't have time to explore. Would definitely recommend!

    Kristan2017-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place to stay and a very accommodating host. Was very spacious and well kept. Will certainly stay here again if I'm back in the area.

  • Linda was very helpful and a lovely host. The hideaway was beautiful and a great place to relax and rewind. The details in the listing were exactly as expected and the place was spacious and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet break away.

Gorgeous setting, spacious house, well lit w/ high ceilings, tucked into 5 acres of private evergreen woods, provides magical grounds for exploration & relaxation. Private and cozy - we don't see another house in any direction, yet we are close to the cultural hub of Port Townsend (12-14 minute drive, or longer bike ride), and about an hour to the Olympic Rain Forest. Hiking, biking, skiing, boating & fishing await, as well as festivals through out the year and GREAT, locally grown organic food.
If the wind gets to you in Port Townsend, come escape to this sanctuary tucked into the trees. No wind! Sunlit and open, high ceilings, 3 bedrooms upstairs, sleeping 1-2 each, and with the option of additional mattresses on the floor, can accommodate 8. Our beds are firm and comfy, mostly organic latex, with high thread count cotton flannel sheets. Heating system is super efficient and effective - radiant floor heating, with several thermostats to control various areas. There is also a wood stove which you may use with help of Jennifer and Zac. We have a separate entrance and our own area, so will not be in your way, though may see you here and there. Each room has ample closet space. 2 person hot tub is maintained and available for use. 1 room of the house is dedicated to music, massage, yoga and meditation. If you would like to book a massage downstairs while you are here, talk to Jennifer and Zac.
We are at the end of dirt road - last house and very protected. Larry Scott trail head is 1 mile away, that will take you to town, or where ever you want to explore.

  • Dan and Donna are the perfect hosts. Fresh flowers and treats awaited us along with lots of information on the area; Dan even sought out good birding info for my husband. We had some nice conversations and still enjoyed all the privacy we wanted. A quiet rural country area close to Port Townsend we enjoyed local organic produce from farmers markets when cooking in "our home" for the week and also enjoyed many of the local restaurants when eating out. The lodged is so cozy the bed super comfortable and simply relaxing on the deck is delightful. I highly recommend Chimacum Ridge Lodge!

  • Chimacum Ridge Lodge was an amazing place to spend a couple of days on Puget Sound. It was an easy 20 minute drive to Port Townsend and a great home base for travelers who want to explore the Olympic Mountains and the rest of the area. We stayed 2 nights and the minute we arrived we instantly wished that we had planned more time in Dan and Donna's place. Dan was very welcoming (Donna was out of town) throughout our say, not only providing recommendations on great local places to but also good hikes in the area for me to go on while my partner was taking a weekend long class in Port Townsend. Though we didn't need to, we felt comfortable reaching out to Dan via text or knocking on his door, if we needed anything or had any questions. I was able to go on daily hikes in the Olympic Mountains and was excited to return to the lodge to rest, read and relax on the porch overlooking the mountains in the afternoon while enjoying homemade muffins and crumpets Dan and Donna left for us to enjoy. We recommend this little retreat to anyone who is looking for a quaint, romantic and relaxing stay in the area. We will defiantly be staying at Chimacum Ridge Lodge next time we go back to the area! Thanks again for everything Dan (and Donna), we had an amazing time!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Chimicum Lodge. Dan and Donna were thoughtful gracious hosts. There was always excellent communication, clear directions for operating the locks, Direct TV and in keeping the unit cool and comfortable during some unseasonably warm weather. This unit was comfortable and pleasant and sparkling clean! The views of Chimicum Valley's farmland and mountains were breath taking. We were delighted after traveling most of the day to find snacks, fruit, home baked bread and muffins, beverages and even frosty mugs in the freezer. Dan encouraged us to call any time day or night which was reassuring. We visit this area often and look forward to staying at Dan and Donna's place again in the future.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chimacum Ridge Lodge. The Lodge was as comfortable and welcoming as it looks on the AirBnB website and was equipped with all the amenities two would need for a wonderful stay away from home. Dan and Donna were great hosts yet provided plenty of privacy. As we are cyclist, we would start our rides from the Lodge and found that there were a number of intriguing destinations that you could easily ride to and back from (Port Townsend, Fort Flagler, Fort Warden, just to name a few). Most of the major roads have wide clear shoulders and the rural roads have lesser traffic and often beautiful views. The last two hundred meters back up the Lodges driveway can be a challenge, but just adds to the sense of accomplishment. We would finish our day on the deck with cool beverages and taking in the wonderful view of the Chimacum valley. We got a kick out of listening to the heard of cattle "mooing" on several evenings. We would definitely return to the Chimacum Ridge Lodge!

    Bart2014-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful summer weekend stay at the Lodge. Dan & Donna were super friendly & communicative through the booking process, and provided tailored area recommendations based on what we were hoping to do on our trip. Little thoughtful touches like crumpets and jam waiting in the fridge were much appreciated! Ideal location for hiking and exploring the Olympic forest. Loved the lodge and hope to return in the future.

  • Great view of the bay. Private. Although the place is small in square footage, it didn't feel too small. Nice decor, very clean. Loved the breakfast items available. Comfortable bed with nice sheets. Not too far from downtown Port Townsend. Suzanne (host) was very accommodating and quick to respond to questions.

  • I would highly recommend the Discovery Bay Retreat. The view is fantastic. The location is quiet and private. The cottage is very comfortable. A perfect getaway!!!

  • My husband and I stayed three nights at Suzanne's wonderful home. I honestly can attest that this was one of the best Airbnb's we have ever stayed in. The views provide sweeping ocean views that provide gorgeous sunsets each night. The location is quiet and serene. The refrigerator was amply stocked with delicious breakfast amenities, which was a welcoming touch. The layout is perfect for two people and the home is tastefully appointed. I would highly recommend this location to anyone. We utilized it as a jumping off point for day hikes and we were so happy to have Suzanne's home to return to after many miles on the trail. If you're considering this place don't think twice and book it right away!

    Caroline2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Suzanne's Discovery Bay Retreat. Suzanne was great with communication and instructions before and during the stay; the check in and check out process was smooth and easy. The property is breathtakingly beautiful! We sat on the deck and enjoyed million dollar views for hours. The interior of the residence is maintained and decorated well and is clean and welcoming. We love renting full houses because of our love of cooking local foods, and the kitchen had everything we needed to feel at home. Delicious local seafood and wine with a view? Absolutely!! We would stay at Suzanne's anytime!

    Rhiannon2016-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Suzanne was remarkably easy to communicate with and the retreat was even more beautiful than the pictures. Would definitely recommend staying here for anyone passing through the area.

    Zack2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Suzanne's place for our first wedding anniversary. We loved the location right on a bluff over looking the sound and sunsets. We saw a lot of bird life, including some herons. Suzanne's place was just perfect. The living room was very comfortable, the kitchen had all the amenities we'd need, and we used the grill on the patio to cook some steaks. Her place is a very relaxing, quiet retreat very close to Port Townsend where we spent our days. We would highly recommend her place and we'd also love to come back for another weekend trip.

    Ashley2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I'm not sure how to describe Suzanne's cottage other than it comes from a place of love. It transcends written descriptions and pictures as the setting is breathtaking - the details impeccable, the decor tastefully French, and EVERYTHING is perfectly well thought out. Sitting on the balcony for breakfast admiring the view and listening to the bustle of seagulls and soft wind through the trees brings you back to center. At night gazing towards the stars the tiny wind chime sooths the soul as your mind wonders. Travelers will find magic here. A place of serenity and mindfulness created by an amazing worldly person. I think this says it best... "Let us probe the silent places, let us seek what luck betide us; Let us journey to a lonely land I know. There's a whisper on the night-wind, there's a star agleam to guide us, And the Wild is calling, calling . . . Let us go." Thank you for sharing your corner of the world with others! I hope they will be as inspired by your home as we were.

  • Tony's cabin was the perfect calm oasis I needed last weekend. I really appreciated his flexibility and help in figuring out our arrival time. The cabin is adorable and cosy. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds because they are beautiful. There are giant fluffy chickens in the back corner of the garden who have a chicken coop that is bigger than my bedroom back in NYC! Tony is a warm and generous host, he and his wife were unfailingly kind and giving. I feel very lucky to have stayed at his cabin.

    T2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I both enjoyed our stay with Tony at his nature getaway - the description is as expected. His beautiful (and self-made, may I add) studio-sized AirBnB is tucked away in Chimacum. Plenty of privacy, however we left the doors open and welcomed his two cute dogs to come over and play any time. Thanks for the stay, Tony! p.s., Tony's wife's home-made bread is delicious.

    Pauline2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed at this charming little hideaway. It's about 20' from Port Townsend - ideal as we traveled that way numerous times. There's everything you need there to get away from the world, without sacrificing all the comforts thereof. This is not a cabin in the woods, it is a secluded space away where you can hear frogs and watch stars at night.

    Dave2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying at Tony's cabin. He was very easy to communicate with and flexible with our changing plans. The studio is lovely with a nice open kitchen. The gardens are incredible with fresh raspberries and plenty of spots to read books, lounge or eat a meal. We didn't want to leave!

  • Tony's cabin was beautiful, peaceful, and clean. We cooked up a delicious dinner there and the kitchen had all the tools we needed. Other highlights included walking on the trails near the cabin, sipping wine and coffee on the porch, eating the homemade bread, and being greeted by the friendly pups. Thanks again for a delightful stay!

    Meghan2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an oasis! This place is so lovely and beautiful, and it was exactly the getaway we needed.

    Jenna2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very spacious studio cottage, with a full-size amenity-rich kitchen, charming bathroom, cozy easy chairs, plush bed, and plenty of windows. And, a gas-log woodburning-look stove on a thermostat kept the temp just right. Tony and two friendly dogs greeted me upon arrival, and then let me have my privacy. Not hard to find (it's in a clearing in the deep woods), and close to the relatives I wanted to visit. I loved the dark chocolate bar and small homebaked bread loaf that was put out for me--wonderful touch!

This bright farm apartment on Marrowstone Island has the BEST views on our 4.5 acre homestead. Perched up high with many windows throughout, you get clear sights of the Olympic Mountains, Kilisut Harbor, and our farm animals strolling around below. *Perks: Guests love the huge cast-iron farm sink and the clawfoot tub - perfect for soaking after a day of exploration.
Beautiful and rustic small farm living, on 4.5 acres overlooking our farm, the Olympic Mountains and Kilisut Harbor. The "Roost" has a nice sitting porch for morning coffee, or an evening meal. A cozy living space comfortable seating, daybed and dining table. Queen size bed in the comfy bedroom, and a full kitchen with huge cast-iron farm-house sink. Full bathroom has a clawfoot tub for soaking and bathing. Heat is electric, and fan provided for summer time stays. Owners live on property, and there is an additional cabin rental unit as well.
Marrowstone Island, just southeast from the Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend is a rural island with spectacular shoreline vistas, evergreen trees, and an inspiring, pastoral beauty. The main town of Nordland lies in the center of the island and has a small general store. Get lost on fern drenched trails at Fort Flagler State Park, on the North end of the island -- also known for its historical bunkers and beaches. There is a bridge connecting the island to the mainland, and Port Townsend is 13 miles away, with access to great restaurants, shops, music and the ferry to the San Juans.
  • Staying at the Roost was dreamy! A much needed break from routine, the perfect place to enjoy starry nights, clawfoot tub soaks, apple and pear trees, and Burt and Ollie, the sweet and entertaining goats. Kat and Dane provided delicious fresh eggs and freedom to explore their farm and play with their wonderful animals. Marrowstone Island is a serene place to stay, with wonderful beaches. I I would return anytime!

  • Plum Nelli is a magical place to spend a night or two.

    David2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time! This was such a great place to stay and felt that this added to our experience. Playing with the goats and chickens really made our day :). The roost was a great spot with beautiful views. We did not see the owners but they were very responsive initially. Would definitely recommend!

    Max2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Dane & Kathryn were very friendly and helpful. The views were amazing! We enjoyed the claw foot bathtub. The bed was comfortable, however the carpet was not so great for allergies. Another thing that would have been nice is having screens on all of the windows, instead of just a couple. Wonderful stay overall! The property is just beautiful.

    Bethany2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent two nights at the Roost while in the area for a wedding. The space felt perfectly cozy, private and relaxing. We were so impressed by the gorgeous views through the windows as we ate delicious fresh eggs from Dane and Kathryn's hens! We never had the chance to actually meet them, but admired the care they put into their homestead. I particularly enjoyed soaking in the antique clawfoot bathtub and wandering through the breathtaking flower garden! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a magical farm retreat!

  • The Roost was a fantastic getaway! Beautiful views and chilled out vibe. The space was very comfortable for three, and the chairs in the siting area were great for having conversations. The sink in the kitchen is amazing! I bet that will be the only time I ever compliment a sink in an Airbnb review, but it really was beautiful and functional. Thank you for the relaxing and recharging stay.

    Kayla2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Dane and Kathryn have a very comfortable home and a beautiful and relaxing property. They made us feel very comfortable right from the start with fresh flowers on the table and fresh eggs and vegetables from their garden. We had a very relaxing trip and greatly enjoyed our time with them!

    Kristen2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at The Roost. Gorgeous, clean, warm, and private. Kathryn was communicative and sweetly checked to see if we needed anything during the course of our holiday stay. We met Dane at work outside. Such charming, hospitable folks, and a beautiful property with lots to explore. The Roost also has a full kitchen, great for those seeking to dine in. Highly recommended!

This is a early 1900's waterfront farmhouse with lots of character and vintage charm. Glassed in front porch allows you to kick back and enjoy the picturesque views of Mystery Bay in any weather. We have fast wifi and a blue ray player. Three wonderful parks close by, two within one mile. We are 16 miles to the beautiful seaport city of Port Townsend, known for music, dining, art galleries, parks etc. We are about 20 minutes to Port Ludlow and 30 minutes to 7 cedars casino 40 to Sequim.
This house is best suited for four people, but we recently added a fold up bed in the utility room for a fifth person, or if someone gets put "in the dog house." There is a $10.00 fee if someone wants to use the fold up bed. This will be on the honor system. The kitchen comes stocked with hopefully everything you might need to cook with, including cork screws and both a drip coffee maker and an espresso maker. Or you might choose to walk next door to the wonderful Nordland General store that has an espresso bar and a wonder selection of wine and craft beer. They also have goat cheese made at the Mystery bay farm also adjacent to our property. Fort Flagler state park is about 2 1/2 miles away and East Beach and Mystery Bay park is less than a mile. East Beach park does not require a pass and is one of the nicest beaches around for walking.
I love my neighborhood. Walking into the Nordland General store next door is like stepping back in time. The wood plank floors are worn with a hundred years of patrons footsteps. There are d.v.d.s to rent and there is an honor library where you can grab a book to read. You can buy a steaming hot mocha from the espresso bar, or a whidbey island ice cream bar and sit out on the bench on the store dock and enjoy the picturesque views.
  • Deb and Dave are the best hosts we've ever encountered in our many Airbnb stays. From the fresh muffins and eggs to boating and crabbing with them and beyond, they made our stay that much more wonderful! They are easy to communicate with but also very respectful of your privacy. Mystery Bay is beautiful and just a short walk up the road from their lovely farmhouse are beautiful fields with horses and a goat farm. We picked all the blackberries we could ever want and headed down to the quaint country general store for Whidbey Island ice cream to go with our crisp that we made from the berries. There's an awesome beach about 1/2 mile from the farmhouse that's great for exploring. In general, I can't recommend this place enough! Thank you Deb and Dave!

    Jennie2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place. We stayed there only for a night with 2 small kids, but it was very cozy and quiet. The farm house has a view of the water from the kitchen and sun room, very nice with morning coffee :) Deb brought us some apple muffins she made that morning, they were amazing ! The drive to Port Townsend was short (around 20 min) which was perfect. Local grocery/general store that is walking distance from the farm house has a great selection and offers espresso drinks in the morning (perfect on the go!). If you stay at the Farm House you must go tour the Mystery Bay Farm (goat dairy) and try their amazing chèvre and yogurt. Thank you for a great stay !

  • Wonderful historic home in a very peaceful setting!

  • We are a foster family looking for a summer retreat with our kids. It would have also been the perfect place for a romantic getaway but this time we had our foster kiddos with us. The first thing they noticed was the scavenger hunt, the second feature was the view and the roominess. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could possibly need. As for my husband and I we always hope for comfortable beds whenever we stay somewhere due to his back condition (Sciatica ) and we were pleasantly surprised. The bed was very comfortable. We are already planning our second trip in the fall. I highly recommend this perfect retreat and getaway.

    Carmen2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The farmhouse is lovely, comfortable and quaint, and appointed with everything I needed for a perfectly peaceful getaway. The house is light and bright, the beds are comfy, and the sunroom was the perfect place to read & watch the sunset. The cell phone service was spotty, but that was fine with me- a landline is available if needed. The general store next door has all the essentials & some excellent smoked salmon, as well as locally made cheeses & ice cream! I biked the circumference of the island & checked out all the lovely parks & beaches, including historic Fort Flagler. Debbie is an amazing host. She was flexible and accommodating with my arrival & departure times, and brought me delicious muffins & fresh eggs & cherries. This is a great choice for a quiet, peaceful stay in the PNW.

    Carly2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about our stay. The view from the house is amazing and the accommodations are clean and comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing and a short walk to East Beach. Debbie and her husband were incredibly nice and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the blueberry muffins and farm fresh eggs she brought over for us. We will be back for sure.

    Michelle2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet older farm house in rural setting. Next to general store, close to beaches, quick drive to Port Townsend, accessible to hiking. Very comfortable with many details thought of. Would definitely stay again.

  • This is an awesome old home right next door to the quaint Nordland Store where you can get coffee, microbrews or tasty ice cream. You are also just down the street from Ft. Flagler where you can experience some of the best crabbing around. This home offers a truly wonderful Pacific NW experience.

    MYSTERY BAY FARMHOUSE
    22 commentaires
Nine Mile Farms outreach presents this dreamy take on off grid glamping. Located on Marrowstone Island make it base camp for exploring Port Townsend, the Olympic mountains & peninsula, hang on the Island's many beaches and parks enjoy sunnier skies thanks to the infamous "banana belt".Unplug in the truest sense of the word with no electricity or running water. The property is situated at the end of a road on an intentionally underdeveloped short plat. The land is ungroomed, raw, natural, quiet.
The "tent" is a simple wall tent with waterproof canvas tarp style walls and zip entry void of locks. repurposed pallet board crates make up the wood flooring. A king size bed (fully bug netted, made up European style-no top sheet, 100% cotton bedding topped with a lofty down comforter), night tables, dresser and two sitting chairs are some of the furnishings. Lighting is provided via remote controlled battery powered puck lights , bring head lamps or flashlights to supplement. If there are three in your party a hotel style "rollaway" bed can be made up complete with down bedding. Follow the trail behind the tent under a cedar tree canopy to the bucket style composting toilet. Roast s'mores on your private brick patio in the fire ring or have a bonfire at the fire pit located in the field. Firewood is provided, burn ban permitting. Please note there is no running water anywhere on the premises. Walk the path up a gentle slope and climb 5 stairs to the kitchen cabin, a small rustic structure provided for preparing meals, dining and lounging. The camp kitchen is equipped with a single burner cook stove, a sink with a gravity fed style (no hot water and nondrinking) faucet, dish soap, ample space for cutting, preparing and eating. Also provided; dishes, utensils, French press, skillets, sauce pans, bowls, mugs, cups etc. As well as common herbs spices salt pepper, coffee, tea, sugar. Like the sleeping tent the tiny house is off grid too, lit by wall mounted battery powered light switches. We recommend all eating to be done in the dining cabin to discourage critters from sleeping quarters. There is no heat so pack accordingly as evenings can get chilly even inside shelters. Meditate, do yoga, read a book, write a book!, knit, or sit back and enjoy a beer if that is what you wish.
A stop into the Nordland General store, is a must, if you have the time a stroll down the dock completes the visit. If your a shower a day person, Fort Flaggler ( 5 min. drive up the island) has full service public restrooms complete with showers (bring some quarters) flushing toilets, and not a bad view of the straits and Port Townsend. If Laundry is something you find yourself needing, Port Hadlock has a fine one, situated next door to the QFC market. Throw in a load and head across the street to the "Valley Tav" for the best veggie burgers around! no joke. Nine Mile Farm Camp is made up of over 5 acres and is heavily treed with Grand Firs, large Western Red Cedar, Big Leaf Maple, Alder, Doug Fir, and many other native shrubs including edible berries such as huckleberry, salal berry, salmon berry. Micologists (mushroom hunters) are sure to find the treasure they seek growing fruitfully in these forests. Neighbors live symbiotically with the land, many are without electricity or city water as guests will experience as well. One family are musicians, if your lucky you may catch the hint of a jam session echoing out of their yurt style studio, usually in the afternoons. Please be conscious of the surrounding area and its inhabitants, animals and humans alike respecting normal quiet hours within reason.
  • Everything about this place was adorable and romantic. The detail that goes into the aesthetic... wow. I went here for my birthday and it couldn't have been a more perfect present. Spent the following day at the beach nearby for a dreamy end to my vacation.

  • Wow. This place is such an amazing gem! The tent was incredibly cozy, clean and romantic! The detached cottage to cook/hang out in was perfect. The attention to detail and decor around the entire property felt magical, unique and special. Anyone who finds themselves here would be lucky!

    Cari2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We love our stay here! Lots of room for the pups to run around and very private. We loved making coffee and sitting out on the porch it was quiet and serene. Make sure to bring lots of lights with you once it gets dark it could be a challenge to cook without a head lamp or lantern. We would defiantly stay again!

  • What a wonderful place! I would love to come back again:) I cannot wait to see how this place develops in the future. Sarah’s attention to detail was phenomenal and we had everything we needed including extra surprises and gifts along the way:)

  • I dont think we could have had a better time. This place is amazing. You can already see the detail and love that has been put into adding convenient touches. I have still been dreaming about it and wish we had stayed longer. Thank you Sarah for making such a fun, cute place filled with all the right things for us to enjoy a night in the woods.

  • We loved our experience at 9 Mile Farm! Photos from Air B&B were accurate but nothing compares to the scenic drive getting there and the smells of nature upon arrrival. Though 'roughing' it with no electricity or running water, we wanted for nothing and our two-night trip required that we bring very little but personal items. Sarah provided wood for camp fires, ingredients for s'mores, breakfast goodies, a wine opener and all the kitchen tools a cook needs. We couldn't have been more impressed with the accommodations and feel it was a great value, to boot.

    Brenda2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a sweet place to stay! Lots of little details and love put into the place... Like she says be prepared for a rustic out there camping experience... we brought jugs of extra drinking water, several flashlights, large lantern for good light in the cabin. The morning French press coffee on the porch swing was my favorite. Sweet offering of fruit breakfast muffins and basic pantry needs. The bed and sleeping tent is very comfortable... wish it was a little closer to kitchen cabin and floors a little sturdier in tent and dining room. Would recommend to friends and family and look forward to this kind of 'camping' again.

  • Although we didn't actually get to stay at The Hobbit Hut (due to unforeseen circumstances) Scott was very gracious and generous by making us another reservation at a resort close by. Not only did he make a reservation, but he also took care of the difference in cost. This is a testament to Scott's character, we will definitely try to get another stay at the Hobbit Hut.

  • Super cute place to go for a couple's getaway. The scenery is beautiful and is a very nice contrast to city life. The house is perfect size for two. Only a short drive to downtown as well. Overall, definitely would recommend for any couple or individual wanting to get away for a weekend!

    Marlayna2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • For only a short 10 minute drive to downtown Port Townsend, this was a sure winner. We enjoyed our weekend getaway here and Scott was very quick to respond to any messages we had for him. We loved being able to see the stars at night too. It's something you miss living in the city. We'd come back again.

  • Scott's hobbit hut was a wonderful getaway for my girlfriend and I. The rolling valley below the house makes for a beautiful view and the house itself is the perfect size for a couple. Scott was very quick to respond and accomadated all of our special requests. Definitely would stay again!

  • The Hobbit Hut was a perfect escape in the Olympic Peninsula. It was peaceful and quiet. We could even hear the water cascading from koi pond in front of the hut while laying in bed. The views from the property were spectacular. The hobbit hut has all the amenities a couple could need on a weekend escape or week long stay. It is situated a few miles from Port Townsend but is easy to access. We fell in love with the beautiful gardens, horses on the property and quietness of the location. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the bench in front of the koi pond each morning. I wish we had spent more of our time at the hobbit hut.

    Derek2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I wanted a little getaway and the this was the perfect place. The hobbit hut is located about 10 minutes from town. It was nice to be able to visit the shops and walk around when we wanted but also just relax with no one around at the hobbit hut. The hut was clean and cozy. It was the perfect size for the two of us. We will definitely be back.

    Estelle2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was wonderful! We didn't miss being right in town or on the water because the scenery was so beautiful & relaxing and still only minutes from the shops & restaurants by car. The cottage was perfect for two. Charming & romantic, clean & comfortable and tastefully decorated. Would love to go back every year!
