Natural Feature
“If your feeling up for a walk, you can climb our local maunga, Mount Karioi. The climb will take you about 1 1/2 hours, leaving from the Ruapuke side, or 2 1/2 hours from Te Toto Gorge. We have done it with both our children when they were aged 8 and 10, and it is challenging but very doable. The i-site can provide information on where to go from, or look in the brochure in the kitchen area of Hanna's Hideaway. ”
