Reeth : réservés à l'instant

My holiday cottage is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, It is a beautiful Georgian period house in the lovely village of Reeth in Swaledale. Ideal location for a relaxing or energetic holiday, surrounded by stunning countryside for walking and cycling. Beautiful views and sunny private garden with wooden hot tub available by arrangement. My place is ideal for couples and families, and well behaved dogs are welcome.
This beautiful period house consists of a bright and comfortable living room with smart tv, blueray player, freesat and a range of books, dvds and games to entertain. The multifuel stove makes this room extra cosy in winter and logs and coal are provided. The kitchen has a lovely oak dining table to seat 6 guests and has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and multifuel stove for chilly evenings. There is a light and airy garden room off the kitchen which leads to the private courtyard garden complete with a wooden rustic hot tub, available by prior arrangement. There is one downstairs bedroom with a double bed. Upstairs the master bedroom has a superking bed and overlooks Reeth Green and Fremington Edge beyond. This bed can be made up as 2 singles if required. The second bedroom overlooks the garden and is a twin room, but these beds can be zipped together to form a superking bed. The upstairs bathroom has a lovely antique roll top bath with shower over. Up the second staircase in the attic space there is a shower room with toilet and wash basin. NB You have to climb over a beam and thigh height to access this shower room.
Reeth is a stunning and picturesque village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are 3 pubs, 3 cafes, 2 local shops, gift shop, craft shops and a post office. There are lots of lovely walks straight from the doorstep.
  • A perfect place from which to explore the Dales, this beautifully restored cottage in the delightful village of Reeth. Ali looks after it, and her guests, perfectly - wood- burning fire lit when we arrived, essential supplies in the fridge, a bottle of Prosecco and Christmas decorations to make us feel welcome. Ali was on hand (she lives next door) to show us all we needed to know about running the cottage for five days; for cooks – as we are – the large kitchen/diner is fully equipped with everything we could want. And big comfortable beds in good-sized attractive bedrooms! Being a local, Ali is able to give informed, enthusiastic advice about all local amenities and attractions, the lovely walking country in particular, of course. A really caring and generous host. We will go again.

Nestled down a pretty cobbled lane just off the village green in Reeth you’ll find Dalesmoor - a very attractive, stone-built, 17th century, Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage. This holiday cottage in Swaledale has recently been renovated by the owner. The careful introduction of modern furnishings compliment the original features perfectly and creates an extremely comfortable and well-appointed holiday home.

Beautiful, 'quaint and querky' upside down little barn for two. Very private and secluded yet only a few yards from the centre of the village and all it has to offer. This cosy cottage offers a romantic retreat and benefits from a woodburner, king size bed, sitting area, shower room/w.c. open spiral staircase leading up to the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with T.V.
The cottage is not suitable for small children and MAY not be suitable for some dogs due to the open spiral staircase, mezzanine floor and open bulustrade.
Reeth is a beatiful little unspoilt village in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales surrounded by hills and stunning scenery. Fantastic for those wanting to walk, cycle or simply relax. Reeth has 3 excellent dog friendly pubs.
  • A wonderful secluded retreat. Charles made us very welcome and the bed was super comfy. Spiral staircase tricky for dog but she was sleepy downstairs anyway after the wonderful walks close by. The Pubs on the green will look after you and everyone is really friendly in the village. Can highly recommend for some relaxing time away.

A lovely first floor apartment, set in beautiful Swaledale, with fantastic views over Reeth village green and the hills beyond. A prime location for walking, cycling and exploring the Yorkshire Dales. Two bedrooms, sleeps 3, spacious open plan sitting room, dining and kitchen area. The flat has two floors, and has been sympathetically converted to a high standard. It combines character and comfort. Pubs, restaurants, cafes and other village amenities are a stroll from the door.
The apartment sits above a gift shop. There is a shared hallway and a staircase up to the flat entrance. Inside the flat there is a generous hall leading to the living room, double bedroom and stairs down to the single bedroom and bathroom. The living space is light and airy with a smart TV connected to the Wi-Fi. There are night storage heaters in all rooms, an electric fire with fan heater and 2 portable convector heaters. Electricity is included. Washing machine and freezer are in the cupboard off the bathroom. There is a back door leading to a courtyard where 2 bikes can be secured in the storage racks.
Reeth is an exceptional village sited where Arkengarthdale meets Swaledale, on the Coast to Coast walk. It is built around a big village green where a small market is held on Friday mornings, and where you might get to see Morris dancers, brass bands and fireworks. The flat is close to an ice cream parlour, three cafes, three pubs, Reeth museum, Post Office, the information centre and the community Orchard Garden and a playground. The local circular walk takes less than an hour and takes you over the Swing Bridge across the River Swale and round to Grinton. The Dales Bike Centre is along the road at Fremington.
  • The location of the flat in Reeth is simply perfect. Right on the village green with open views to the hills beyond the village. The flat itself is home from home - cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. There was no phone signal on O2, but the WIFI was excellent. Fantastic selection of great walks from the doorstep and also handy for visiting neighbouring places of interest in the car. Three pubs within 5 minutes walk, all serving good food and good local ales. Gwynneth communicated really well with how to access the property, and checking we were happy with everything. Her instructions on how to work the heating and all appliances and the TV were spot on (We enjoyed having access to Netflix particularly!). We cannot fault any aspect of our stay. We even had perfect weather! We will be back!

  • Location Location Location! This flat is perfect for exploring around Reeth. Our car didn’t move for a week! Gwyneth supplied a comprehensive selection of local walking guide books and maps. Great base and all home comforts. We wanted for nowt.

    Jo2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gwyneth's flat is a wonderful living space situated in a fabulous location overlooking the green. It is an ideal place to have as a base from where you can set off to explore the dales. The flat is spacious, clean and has more amenities than any other place we have stayed in! Highly recommended.

The Little Barn is a quirky and contemporary stone built cottage, recently converted from an old agricultural building. It is perfect for that romantic escape, or simply for enjoying the rugged and stunning countryside that North Yorkshire has to offer. Perfectly situated in the rural hamlet of Hurst which is not far from the stunning Dales town of Reeth and the Historic market town of Richmond. Winter offer - 3 nights for the price of 2 - valid from 8th January -28th February 2018
  • We had a fantastic weekend at the Little Barn and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in a secluded and beautiful location. The barn is finished to an extremely high standard, feels very homely and contains everything you could need. The location is fantastic - quiet with amazing views over the surrounding fields and hills (with walking options from the doorstep). Rebecca was an excellent host, responding very quickly to our messages and giving us all the information we needed for a great stay. We cant't wait to visit again!

  • The Little Barn was a perfect place to stay - just secluded enough to feel really in the countryside, but still within easy distance from shops and wifi! It was gorgeously decorated and Rebecca made a lot of effort to make our stay perfect.

  • A beautiful, cosy barn with great facilities! It was perfect for what we wanted. We loved the secluded location with no phone signal. A great base to explore the beautiful Yorkshire Dales! Amazing House Party Packages, for Christmas parties and corporate events. Our special party package allows you to arrive at 10:00am, enjoy the day, spend a great evening together and leave the following morning, relaxed and refreshed. Up to 15 guests can be accommodated overnight but please get in touch for larger parties.
The house is in a private situation, surrounded by amazing walks and scenery but only 5 minutes away from the village gastro pub. You can book a private chef or rely on local deliveries. Whichever you decide, we can provide the perfect venue for you to unwind and enjoy some great local food and drink.
Low Row is a long village with a pub (and brilliant restaurant), a church and a little red phone box. It's in the Yorkshire Dales National Park so the scenery is definitely worth conserving and it's got a maze of footpaths heading up to the rugged moorland or down to England's fastest flowing river. It's only 1/2 hr away from the A1 or M6 so makes a good place meet from east, west north or south.

  • Really friendly staff who let us check in earlier and check out later than advertised. The cabin was very cosy and dog friendly. Great walks nearby as well as some more challenging ones further into the national park. A really lovely location for a countryside retreat. The great thing about the Jonas Centre is that it is also a charity so the money is going to a great cause. Would recommend staying here.

  • Together with few friends we visited Jonas for a weekend. The cabin and the area were really nice and calm. Well equipped for self catering (if you want to eat outside, there is a v.nice pub, 8 min walk). Initially I was a bit afraid that it might be cold inside the cabin, but it wasn't. When heating was on, it was really warm. Really good value for the money. Generally, it was a very good choice and I would consider coming there again if I visit this region again. If you want to relax, this is the place to go!

The views from the upstairs sitting room are mesmerising. Many of my guests say, 'Who needs a television with views from the window like that!' Watch the swallows swooping and the clouds roll. Take tea in the cottage garden, catch a glimpse of a distant tractor or follow the sheep. The cottage has two log burning stoves and full central heating making it so cosy from autumn through to spring. Curl up on the sofa with a book & a glass of whatever takes your fancy and leave the pressures of everyday life behind. Low Row is well placed to easily access all of the Yorkshire Dales. Reeth is the nearest large village (5 minute drive) for a paper, a few provisions or an ice-cream on the green. Hawes in Wensleydale, home of the famous Wensleydale cheese, is the next dale south and to the north discover Teesdale and the beautiful Bowes Museum and High Force (the highest waterfall in England). Or stay in beautiful Swaledale and visit Richmond to the east and the quaint villages of Muker, Thwaite and Keld to the west. So much to do - so many lovely places to explore, dozens of quiet walking trails and many good pubs & cafes to find. Visit the Punchbowl Inn in Low Row itself for excellent food and a well stocked cellar and the Farmers Arms in Muker; a true Dales pub with great pub food and a lovely atmosphere. The Overton cafe on Reeth green is a favourite as is the Muker Teashop (gorgeous Yorkshire Rarebit!). There is so much that makes Hillcrest and the Yorkshire Dales special - come and find out for yourself!

  • Katherine has been extremely kind and helpful throughout the booking process. I have fired loads of questions at her and she has gone out of her way to answer them promptly and in detail. She even added some photos to her website in order to clarify a few questions I had re room sizes etc. I felt that nothing was too much trouble for her. She has also been very flexible about dropping off times for food etc on our arrival day, and was very generous with our departure times.

  • Hazel Brow House is absolutely beautiful. So many room with so much character. Each room is bright and airy with amazing views out over the hills. The rooms are clean and warm with individual character. Plenty of country walks to the neighbouring villages and pubs. Catherine is a great host - she was really helpful with all my queries and made sure everything was ok on arrival and departure. We booked as a large party for a hen do, but would be fab for a big family get together or group getaway. Would definitely recommend this gem to others and would definitely book again!

  • We have had a lovely weekend in the Dales to celebrate my daughter's christening and Catherine's beautiful home was perfect for the occasion. The house is very spacious and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all a good size. Cath was an excellent host - all the essentials were provided, she responded to all our queries (including letting us visit before booking to check that the rooms would be ok for our more elderly guests) and was very flexible. We also used a local caterer that Cath recommended for the Saturday night whose food was perfect for a chilly November evening. The views up and down Swaledale from the house are stunning - the English countryside just doesn't get any better than this. Thank you.

  • We had a really fantastic weekend in Hazel Brow house. We were here to celebrate my father's 75th birthday and really it could not have been better. The house was beautiful and so large and spacious with fires lit for our arrival. There was 11 of us in the house and we were definitely not on top of each other. The kids ranged in age from 8 up they loved the house with all the board games on offer and enjoyed seing all the sheep and turkey's on the next door farm. We went on some fabulous walks in the local area and the added bonus of the nearby pub kept all the adults happy!

  • Hazel Brow House is an absolutely fantastic holiday home with spectacular views. The house itself is stunning. Each of the 8 bedrooms are large, luxurious and beautifully decorated. Many have en-suite bathrooms but for those bedrooms without, there are plenty of other bathrooms on each floor, including one with a free-standing bath and absolutely stunning views across the countryside. The house has a beautiful dining room with a large table - we fit 13 adults round it! There is also a fully equipped kitchen with an AGA oven plus electronic oven and hob. Further to this, there is a large and comfortable living room with plenty of sofas and those amazing views again! To the back of the house, there is another smaller living room with a piano and leading off from this, a large boot room with fridge and wet room, ideal for dogs with muddy paws! The location of the house is perfect. Just down the lawn, there are sheep and lambs grazing and beyond these, there are cute alpacas with amazingly fluffy legs and trendy hair cuts! The hosts have mown a path down through the meadow fields to the river which is definitely worth a walk. 10 minutes walk away is a lovely pub called The Punch Bowl Inn which serves delicious hot sandwiches and usual pub meals. All in all, this is a wonderful house that I would recommend whole heartedly. Our host, Catherine, was very prompt with communication and helped answer all of my questions in advance of coming to stay. She was also very amenable when we arrived from London before check in and worked round us to ensure that we were comfortable. We were all very sad to have to leave this beautiful house where we had such a fun weekend and are already planning our return! Thank you Catherine for a wonderful weekend!

  • The scenery was amazing, the location was quite remote. However we had lovely neighbours to help whenever we had inquires about the place. Ruth was amazing in communicating whenever we needed any sort of help. The house is absolutely gorgeous exactly as seen in the pictures, actually even better. We had a fantastic time, it was like home away from home. I would definitely recommend anyone to go. Thank you Ruth for a great weekend:)

Helwith lies in its own valley, a northern tributary of Swaledale. Relatively undiscovered the valley is truly beautiful and may well be one of the few places in the country where real peace can be enjoyed. It is a long way from the nearest town!
