“Richmond Park, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, was created by Charles I in the 17th century as a deer park. The largest of London's Royal Parks, it is of national and international importance for wildlife conservation. The park is a national nature reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation and is included, at Grade I, on Historic England's Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest in England. Its landscapes have inspired many famous artists and it has been a location for several films and TV series.”

Garden Center
“Going to a Michelin-starred chef's restaurant within a garden centre isn't the first place that comes to mind as the obvious choice however it is a beautiful place, wonderful food and although expensive for a la carte lunches / dinners, there is also a more reasonably priced cafe for lunches and snacks during the day. Ex-michelin star chef, Skye Gyngell has been there for a while now after deciding that the michelin star was more of a curse than a blessing. Be warned, parking during the summer months, on weekend days can be a problem so I suggest parking up nearby and walking at weekends during the summer. Walking time is c.20 mins uphill to get there, but all downhill to get home!”
