“Hobart's most historic precinct. It is just back from the waterfront and consists of rows of sandstone buildings, formerly warehouses for the port of Hobart Town, that have since been converted into restaurants, galleries, craft shops and offices.”

“The iconic and original steak place in Hobart and one of Salamanca's first restaurants, back when it was just warehouses. Not overly cheap but well worth it for a great steak in fairly informal atmosphere.”

“Blue eye trevalla is Tasmania's premiere eating fish and nice too. Do not mix up with trevallY which is not. Terrific seafood restaurant in Salamanca. Recommended. Ask about $1 kids meals. ”

“Great decor and amazing wood-fired pizza and pasta. Can walk-in but best to book - you can do this on-line https://tiama.com.au/ The same crew also run a pizza place out at Berriedale called Local Pizza, just down the road from Mona. Has a great atmosphere and fabulous pizza. So, if you are out that way looking for food after spending a couple of hours at Mona, I'd definitely recommend it. Walk-in only: http://www.localpizzatas.com.au/”

“A very fun sushi train experience, where you order your food via a computer at your table, and it is delivered straight to you via the train. The food is pretty good, and the atmosphere is great. Kids love it.”

“Lucy is the owner of this fabulous store. Awarded the 'best' small business in Australia recently, Lucy travelled to Milan to be awarded her prize. Lucy has an amazing array of gifts and products. Clothes, jewellery, gifts, linens to name a few. The beautiful french linen sheets in 104 On the Park, luxurious towels, bedside tables, lamps and more... come from LUC. So many of my guests have purchased the same bed-linen after their stay experience. ”
