Logements à Sebastopol
Free-standing Bohemian-style guest room on our property. Use of main house kitchen, washer/dryer, pool, and your own bathroom. Enjoy eggs from our chickens (including convenient rooster-alarm to help you get out of bed early and start your day!) We provide home-roasted coffee to brighten your morning as well. This is the real Sebastopol experience that will leave you with money left-over to buy beads, tie-dies, & incense!
Sweet, private unit with a beautiful, platform, double futon bed. Antique dresser, a desk, a cozy wool rug and books galore! Please note: The bathroom is not attached to this unit. Used exclusively for guests, it is located 50 ft. across the courtyard in the main house.
Tucked back behind the little strawberry stand on highway 12, our neighborhood is quiet. People mostly walk their dogs and say hello.
  • Notre séjour chez Lisa a été très agréable. Le "bohemian bungalow" mis a notre disposition est très confortable. Nous avons bénéficié de bons conseils pour visiter la région.

  • Had a great stay. Perfect space and very friendly.

  • Lisa's place was perfect. The room is a cottage behind the main house, with a bathroom inside the main house used exclusively for guests. The cottage is so lovely and cozy, with a super comfortable bed, tons of great books, tea, and nice decor. Big yard area with lots of chickens to greet us. Lisa & her family made us feel so welcome. Great value for the price. Highly recommended!

  • Lisa and David are absolutely fantastic hosts and wonderful human beings. Their cozy space was perfect for my girlfriend and I as a place to call home during our weekend trip to Northern California. Make sure to make time for a delicious breakfast in the morning and lovely conversation.

Welcome to Foxglove farm! We offer a 16 foot diameter geodesic dome with a queen bed with memory foam mattress, reading items, games and an electric heater. There is a deck overlooking the Cresta Ridge Vineyard and Green Valley in the Russian River Valley AVA. The dome is about 300 feet from Gravenstein Highway. There is a kitchen area, an outdoor solar shower and a toilet and sink just a short walk. Enjoy a "Glamping Experience" here at Foxglove farm!
Your hosts, Mike & Joan live in the 1910 farmhouse where Joan was born and there are two other houses with long term tenants. Another old chicken house, known as the Barn, has been occupied part of the year by students studying at the nearby California School of Herbal Studies. The dome has a large bay window and 8 round windows with farm and vineyard views. The headboard for the queen size bed is made from the old redwood water tank from our 6 acre farm that has been in the family since 1934. There is a Gravenstein apple orchard and leased Chardonnay grapes behind the farmhouse. Joan and Mike also tend a small garden and used to sell veggies here as members of Sonoma County Farm Trails (you can get a free map here). It's a half hour drive to the Pacific Ocean or the Redwoods. There are many wine tasting rooms and fine restaurants nearby. But we do have a kitchen with dishes, pots, utensils, 2-burner propane stove, small refrigerator and toaster oven. There is some traffic noise and you might hear the noon siren from the Graton Fire Department (they also sound the siren for emergencies) and you might hear our hen clucking about a newly laid egg (no roosters here). Occasionally you may hear farm equipment on surrounding properties. We do have animals here. Penny Pinstripe, is our current laying hen. Three barn cats roam the farm hunting rodents. Rarely you may see a raccoon, skunk, possum, deer, even a coyote! We do have a few rules - No Smoking and No Pets and Quiet Hours from 10P to 7A. Please respect the few private areas of our tenants (we'll point them out when you arrive).
We are in the Russian River wine area, surrounded by tasting rooms, restaurants and scenery like the Russian River, Pacific Ocean and the Redwoods. Forestville and Graton are just a few minutes away. Sebastopol, 5 miles down the road, has many shops, restaurants, art and movie venues.
  • Foxglove farm is so charming! We had such limited time to enjoy everything to offer, we’d love to come back sometime and stay again! It was beyond expectation!

    Gillian2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The hospitality and experience at the Foxglove farm is everything i was expecting and more. Mike and Joan were very accomodating. The scenery was great and the location was peaceful and quiet. Had a wonderful stay...really look forward to going back.

    Ramon2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Greeted by Mike and Joan along with a bottle of wine. This little gem has a place in our hearts as we celebrated our Wedding Anniversary here. It’s the perfect place to unwind & disconnect from the daily grind. The place came with a grand tour from Mike and waking up to fresh coffee in the morning. We loved this place and all the history it comes with. Thank you so much for having us Mike and Joan, we will definitely be back!

    Laarni2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The dome at Foxglove was even better than we expected! The dome was awesome with a very comfortable bed and peaceful location at the foot of Chardonnay vineyards. The outdoor kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook breakfast in the morning. Joan and Mike were amazing hosts! Their hospitality is unsurpassed and we enjoyed having coffee with them in the mornings. Highly recommend!

    Amanda2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Joan were the loveliest hosts. We loved staying in the dome - it was comfortable and very peaceful. Coffee in the morning as well was lovely. Would love to come back.

  • Great value for the location. The dome was very comfortable and Mike was a great host. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in wine country

    Julia2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Foxglove Farm is charming with beautiful scenery and easy access to many local wineries and restaurants. We would have loved to stay longer but really enjoyed our time. The dome is so cool to wake up in!

    Madison2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had THE BEST Airbnb experience at Mike & Joan’s! Mike was very responsive from the get-go and gave very clear instructions on how to get to their property. Mike and Joan are one of the friendliest, sincerest hosts we’ve met. They took the time to be at the house when we checked in and gave us a tour around their farm. The dome was even more beautiful in real life (inside out) and the bed was so comfortable to sleep in. You will be sleeping underneath the stars and waking up to a beautiful view of vineyards. Mike also prepared a whole file of menus on where to eat and possible places to visit around the area. Napa Valley is just about an hour drive away so the location is great if you have your own transport. All in all, we had a truly unique experience at the dome at Foxglove farm and it’s perfect for a romantic getaway!

  • Wade se différencie des autres hôtes par son approche personnalisée, ses bons petits déjeuners, son lit électrique et la présence chaleureuse de son chien Jabay. La quiétude des lieux permet un sommeil réparateur.

  • A great value on a lovely and quiet piece of property with chickens, gardens, and a friendly dog. Breakfast was delicious.

    Caitlin2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • I will definitely return to Wade's when I come back to Santa Rosa. Great Hospitality! Also, this is truly a fabulous bed and breakfast deal...omelet with vegetables, fresh eggs from the chickens every morning. What a treat!

    Martin2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wade was an amazing host, he deserves the super host award! The area: I came into Santa Rosa for medical appointments, however, the area Wade lives in is quiet, scenic, and beautiful, in that there are gorgeous, mature trees, and it is minutes from everything you need.. on the flip side to that, there are areas to hike and trails that are unparalleled in nature and beauty! The space: This is a fantastic Airbnb spot!! The back yard offers comfortable place to have your coffee, indulge in splashes of color, from the blooming flowers to the shade afforded by the canopy of trees, to the happy,, super cute and fun border collie(optional to have around, I enjoyed his company, but if you're not a dog person, Wade will accommodate you, and bring him in.) There's a garden, and chickens and ducks, just awesome to commune with nature. When you've had your fill of the outdoors, you come into your suite to relax. This is an exceptional spot, from the kitchenette and thoughtful touches, to the amazing bed! That bed is soo worth the nights sleep you'll have. I slept so good and awoke so refreshed! You have a full bathroom, of course, and (no worries, all the necessities are there, bonus, a helpful magnifying mirror!) Wade has done an amazing job completely refurbishing the room, from the gleaming hardwood flooring to the comfy bed, to the variety of pillow options to suit your needs or wants, no detail was missed here. The high tech smart TV has an array of videos for you to select from, or just curl up and read a book. Our Superhost: In the morning, you'll have breakfast, with fresh eggs from the chickens or maybe pancakes with fresh fruit. Wade is extremely hospitable, friendly, and accommodating. He is in a class by himself, above and beyond a Superhost, he is super human! Do not miss this gem in Santa Rosa! I will most definitely look Wade up again!! Thank you Wade for making a difficult trip easier for me, just being you!

    Shannon2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room was quiet and comfortable. Wade prepared a delicious breakfast that was a great start to our day. Great amenities and experience.

    Rachel2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place to stay in the Santa Rosa area. Wade has created a space with so many wonderful and thoughtful touches. He is a welcoming and generous host. Just the amazing breakfasts he prepared would be worth the price of admission! I can’t speak highly enough of the experience!

    Robert2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • After a long and stressful day on the road, I was delighted to be welcomed by a love bug of a collie mix; his kisses were an excellent way to release some tension and he is well trained to not step into the private AirBnB space for guests. The space was charming and the vibrating massage beds is definitely a draw. Breakfast with garden grown veggies and fresh eggs from chickens in the backyard made the stay more memory. Highly recommend for wine tasting and golfing in the Russian River Valley of Snoma County..

  • Thank you for allowing us to stay. Loved the area and the location was just what we wanted. Also, thank you for the wonderful breakfast burritos!

Antique-furnished cozy, nostalgic bedroom (double bed) in a charming old wine country farmhouse situated on 8 acres on Atascadero Creek. Enjoy a simple healthy breakfast, with good coffee or tea. Breakfast available until 10. Read a book (we have a pretty good library in the house) or sip a glass of afternoon wine and watch the birds down at the creek and the barn owls hunting over the lower field at sundown. Enjoy our lush blackberry bushes fruit trees, and our half acre hillside of French lavender in full bloom in summer (you're invited to take some home to enjoy). Search for arrowheads....the property was an important Coast Miwok gathering site. Walk to town or the Gravenstein Grill for a good meal or happy hour. Great food, music, hiking, entertainment, quirky little off-the-beaten-path towns, and the beach are just a short drive away. Be sure to see the relatively recent NYT travel article on Sebastopol. Come enjoy it while the area is relatively unspoiled. We have a good supply of local area attraction brochures and maps for your use. We are also happy to provide you with suggestions, if you like, depending on your personal interests. All proceeds are donated to local animal rescue groups or to the wonderful PAWS wild animal rescue sanctuary in the Gold Country. We have 5 fine/small rescue dogs and 4 cats. Your small well-behaved, housebroken dog/cat may be considered. But please provide information, in advance, about your pet so we can assess the 'fit'. A small fee will apply. Unfortunately, no children under 10 please, as my dogs aren't at their best with children. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks for your interest in Pelo del Perro Farm.
  • Nancy's farmhouse was lovely and quaint. At the end of a dirt lane, it was removed from the bustle of wine country and was a peaceful retreat from wine country. She was hospitable and served us a nice country breakfast.

    Sarah2013-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy is a delightful and interesting host. I appreciated and enjoyed her company, her country home, "my" sweet and comfortable room downstairs, her beautiful country property and views, the fresh eggs prepared with kindness and pride and the opportunity to become acquainted with her (luckily rescued) resident dogs.

    Ann2012-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a quiet get-away from the thanksgiving hustle and bustle of the Silicon Valley, and our expectations were more than fulfilled at Nancy's farmhouse, just few minutes outside Sebastopol, Sonoma County. The host, her three dogs and a bunch of free-running chickens in a peaceful, yet very captivating setting welcomed us. Nancy provided us with numerous great recommendations, maps and guides to explore the area for at least a week up to ten days. We definitely will and have to come back, for another stay with Nancy and to continue our wine/restaurant tour, as well as having that outstandingly good clam chowder in Bodega Bay over and over again ;-)

    Antje & Harald2011-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable soft bed is important to me, and it was. I was amazed how quiet the farm was - no early morning rooster calls :) :) :)

    Helena2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy is a charming and wonderful host. The house is welcoming and peaceful. My mother and I stayed here while visiting for a wedding and we'd love to come back!

    Jessica2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • I loved every bit of my stay at Nancy's farm house! Nancy accommodated my late arrival and I must add that when I arrived the first thing I noticed was every star in the sky illuminated above and the Milky Way hanging directly over the house, and a big gorgeous full moon hanging over the adjacent field. Stunning! Nancy made breakfast and coffee for me and another renter in the morning - pear ginger muffins from her pear tree and black berry crisp picked from the bushes outside. I really enjoyed chatting with and getting to know Nancy and the other renter, and Nancy's six little rescue dogs (one of whom accompanied me on a hike) and her adorable kitten, Ramon! As if all this wasn't enough, Nancy gave me some sachets of fresh cut lavender from her field before I left. Nancy is a wonderful host and her property can only be described as enchanting. Great location too - very central for visiting vineyards, orchards, and the coast. Thank you Nancy!

    Colleen2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The attic room in Nancy's home is very comfortable and welcoming. They went out of the way to make me feel welcomed and were very accommodating to changes in my schedule. The nature surrounding her home is relaxing, and she even has a lavender field.

    Afi2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful 5 days in a bucolic setting. Our hostess Nancy was an articulate, educated woman. She and her "family" of dogs were a delight. We would definitely return

We are a couple in our 30’s who love our dogs, time outside, cooking and making a mess in the kitchen, and sharing good company. While we stay fairly busy with work and school, the two of us have different schedules so somebody should always be nearby should you require anything during your stay. We love meeting new people, but are also happy to give you your space. The entry to the guest area is through the front door and living room, but the guest suite is private.
Recently refurbished, our cozy farmhouse sits on just under two acres and is home to many animals! (A goat, a sheep, four geese, three chickens and four dogs, to be exact). Please take this into account when booking our space. Additionally, while our dogs get accustomed to sharing our space we will not be accepting reservations from those traveling with children. We love kids, but our dogs are not familiar with the tiny humans so we are firm with this rule as a precaution. The guest suite is situated at the front of the house and includes a bedroom with full-size bed, a full bathroom, and a second bedroom with a work space and a futon that folds out to sleep two additional guests. Basic toiletries are provided, along with an iron, hairdryer, mini-fridge, and a Keurig stocked with coffee, teas, sugar and cream. Both bedrooms have air filters and sound machines. Breakfast of fruit and yogurt is provided. Check-out is listed as 10am but is flexible depending upon the arrival time of our next guests. If you would like a later checkout, please ask and we will accommodate whenever we can! ***Please note: the (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps image of a single-wide mobile home IS NOT correct, and is NOT where our AirBnb is located***
We are 2.4 miles from the 101 as well as Graton Resort & Casino, 6.5 miles from local faire and wares at The Barlow in Sebastopol, 6.5 miles from tons of food and shopping in downtown Santa Rosa, 25 minutes from the Russian River, 30 minutes from the coast, and 45 minutes from Napa. Very conveniently located!

    Beatrice2018-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a quick overnight stay for us. The accommodations were as described in post. The guest rooms were clean. The area is nice and quiet. You should love animals as they have many furry pets inside and outside the home. The hosts were very kind and accommodating!

    Nita2018-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! They were really on top of everything, quick to respond to messages with details, had snacks waiting for us in the room, and we loved being around the farm animals (don't worry, they are in their own space so you don't have to interact with them - but come on, who doesn't want to play with a goat!?!) Thank you for having us and we hope to stay with you again!

    Kevin2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay, then this place is for you. There are a few animals on the property, but did not interrupt my sleep nor did they walk me up in the morning.

    Hermanese2018-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome stay. The room was cosy and the view from our windows was great with the farm animals walking by. They had 4 dogs who were sweet once we were introduced to them. Overall a very great place and verywelcoming hosts.

  • Fabulous place to stay! Kristina thought of every detail and provided excellent recommendations for places to eat. A beautiful and inviting space...comfy bed & linens and great coffee & yoghurt for the morning! Thank you!!

    Carrie2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a clean and comfortable place on a farm in Santa Rosa. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

    Nick2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to have a restful night in the country and feel very welcome, this is the place for you! You can feed the goat and sheep, watch the geese and chickens (and the horse next door), and have a clean and comfy place to sleep. And, yes, you'll have great internet service. We will certainly check for openings at Kristina's farmhouse next time we come up to the Santa Rosa-Sebastopol area.

Love visiting this home and sitting on the beautiful front porch just hanging out or walking in the downtown area of Sebastopol, which is just about a 5 minute walk down the hill. Highly recommend this listing. You will not be disappointed.

  • This is my 3rd stay with Karen and Andrew. I'm so grateful to have found this beautiful sanctuary for my business trips to Sebastopol. I've already booked my next two stays. Their exquisite historic home is on a tree lined street, easy walking distance to Main Street with its shops and restaurants as well as to Whole Foods and the Community Market (another organic grocery). The accommodations are spacious, very comfortable and impeccably clean. Karen has taken great care in designing the perfect Airbnb lodging including a beautiful view from the large windows, generous drawer and closet space, sofa, table and chairs, very comfortable bed, even ironing board and iron, large TV and detail that you could imagine: lint brush, gorgeous handmade soap, Q-tips, cotton balls, ample towels of every size. . . the list goes on. Honestly, it feels like a 5 star hotel, only better--a true home away from home.

  • It was a wonderful stay with Karen on Calder Avenue. The house is beautiful and the room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed sitting on the porch while reading. The location could not be better, it was quiet and peaceful but close to restaurants and town. We would highly recommend a stay with Karen next time you are in Sebastopol.

    Michael2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's place is 5 star! She is such a warm and welcoming host and has attention to every detail. The room is like a large suite. Very beautiful and private. The town of Sebastopol was perfect! Lots of great restaurants and a short bike ride to many wineries. We loved the Grateful Bagel for breakfast which is just a 5 min walk. Great place to enjoy wine country!

    Mary Beth2016-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • The space was just lovely! For a private room it sure feels like an entire home. The claw foot tub makes you feel like your in a five star spa and just out the window there are birds and squirrels playing in the yard. Karen did a great job hosting and made me feel at home. Everything was clean and comfortable. Hope to stay here again. :):):)

  • Karen provides a lovely home with everything I needed to be comfortable. She is especially kind and thoughtful, as this was a difficult trip for me and she moved my room to a larger and more convenient one. When I entered the room, I felt like I was in the home I wish I had. Thank you Karen.

    Doris Marie2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was the most lovely hostess! Her place is not only attentively and beautifully appointed but she has thought of everything! She seemed to offer every possible amenity including breakfast! She was a pleasure to visit with and her puppy Sally and the kitties on the porch are the sweetest!

  • Neysa’s home is conveniently located near downtown Sebastopol. The accommodations were clean and well-kept. Check-in was easy and our privacy was respected through our entire stay. Neysa went above and beyond with all the goodies she provided for breakfast and snacks. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We had a nice quiet evening.

  • Great room! Walking distance to downtown. Clean and quiet with a nice bed and shower.

    Terry2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Book this room right now! Close to downtown, shopping, food, and music. Safe neighborhood, beautiful room, sparkling clean, comfy blankets and pillows. The little extra touches like blueberries and nuts for my morning oatmeal, fresh fruit, and all of the toiletries that I would ever need if I forgot anything made me feel like I was staying at a 5 star hotel! I will definitely be back!

Cozy private room & bathroom, located on the second floor of an older, art-filled home, with modern touches, on Sebastopol's charming "sculpture street." Use the sunny yoga studio/sitting room with balcony, enjoy the garden. Easy walk downtown to restaurants, theaters, and markets.
Your guest room on the second floor has a comfortable queen platform bed, accommodating 2 people, and a private bath. There is also room to accommodate 1 or 2 more people (on a queen-sized foam futon, placed on the carpeted floor of the sunny yoga studio) if you are traveling with other companion(s). If you require the futon, please request it when you book. Unfortunately, the house is not set up for the safety of toddlers or very young children. There is an additional charge after 2 people of $45. per person.
We are in the heart of Sebastopol, in one of its oldest neighborhoods. This Victorian-era house is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, fruit trees and vegetable gardens. Each home in the neighborhood is unique, and it's an easy walk to downtown shops, restaurants, movie theater, arts center, Ives Pool, yoga studios, bakeries, a chocolatier, an icecream shop, juice bars, breweries, cafes, and spas. There are several very good restaurants just down the block. There's a great farmers' market on Sunday mornings year 'round, and nearby Pacific Market has a fantastic deli and weekend barbeque to go. We're just a short drive to the Russian River, Bodega Bay and many wineries.
  • Perfectly as described. Abby was sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend

    Austin2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Abby was an amazing host with a beautiful house, garden and studio for her looms. The location was super convenient and her home is a on a very quaint and pretty street in Sebastapol. It was a pleasure to talk to her and we had no complaints!

    Michael2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Abby was an absolutely wonderful and generous host and I feel very lucky to have found such a lovely and welcoming place to stay while in Sebastopol. Her garden is incredible and the house itself is beautiful and comfortable. It's also a wonderful location to explore downtown Sebastopol by foot, bike, or car. Abby was very respectful of our space and privacy but happy to offer up any help/suggestions for getting around that we wanted! And her recommendations were great too! A great experience overall and we're definitely hoping to stay there again when we're next in Sebastopol!

    Letty2015-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed in Abby's gorgeous home in Sebastopol three times and each have been perfect. Abby is a gracious host in a magical setting.

    Joan2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The home Abby keeps is even more lovely and special then the pictures and description can show. It was a very nurturing place to be. Abby was warm and available without being too *anything*. I noticed her beautiful handmade textile items on my own, near her way cool loom, without any saleswomanship whatsoever. She gave us a little map of town and described and marked restaurants. EVERYTHING wonderful is within walking distance, so our car lay fallow for the duration! Her street is described as artsy by previous guests, and it's true, but it's more than that! A couple across the street has graced almost every front yard with a fascinating and humorous sculpture. We walked the several blocks and admired and photographed happily for quite a while. With that plus Abby's art-filled home, we had a museum experience without the admission and the crowds! And then the cute cafes and shops in town were really delightful! We want to go back for sure!

    Mary2018-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Abby was very kind and the space was one of the best air bnb rooms I have stayed in even though it was just one night. The place was extremely clean, very relaxing and comfortable, and overall just had great vibes. If we're ever in the area again, we would definitely choose Abby's place. Highly recommend staying here!

    Maureen2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space in a very special place - thank you, Abby, for so graciously hosting. I loved the quiet of the upper level, and the views into the garden and the landscape beyond. Hope to return!

    Joan2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was super cute, with neat sculptures at every house. We were able to walk to dinner at Eight Cuisine & Wine. Abby's house is very clean and organized; just as the listing said, we had the whole upstairs to ourselves. She was a perfect host. There was even shampoo and body wash, great smelling hand soap, water and glasses, and a hairdryer. **The bed is comfortable-no spring in your back =)

Spacious (250+ s.f.) finished attic space (up 15 steps) with queen brass bed, antiques, original art, wonderful light, tiny half bath (full bath with shower at bottom of stairs), mini-fridge and microwave. A rollaway bed is available for one additional person. The farmhouse was built by the Savio family in 1914 and much is original. It's a lovely and quiet private space to unwind in the western Sonoma wine country. Sit on one of the porches or patios with a glass of wine or a picnic lunch and watch the birds and wildlife in the wetland just below us or in the pasture. Drive to Bodega Bay for fabulous clam chowder, crab right off the boat, and whale watching. We're at the dead end of a tiny lane on 8 acres, adjacent to wetland open space but just a mile from downtown Sebastopol, a charming little town with wonderful restaurants and shops. You'll love the small unpretentious wineries, the great musical offerings, hiking, canoeing, and other recreation in the area. Help yourself to our basket of brochures and hiking guides to help plan your activities. Coffee/tea and simple breakfast included. Lots of good books for readers to enjoy. Unfortunately, because my dogs are rescues and can be unpredictable with small children, we regret that we can't accommodate children under 10. All proceeds are donated to the local humane society and/or the wonderful PAWS elephant and wild animal sanctuary in the Gold Country. Please note that the owner has 4 rescue dogs and 4 rescue cats. They aren't allowed in the guest rooms (unless invited). This is THE place for animal lovers. Please be sure to inquire, in advance, if you would like to bring your pet. The 'fit' needs to be right and a small pet fee will apply. Plenty of parking and storage for bikes. Nothing here is sprayed….ever.
It feels like we're in the middle of nowhere….fields and streams all around us. But it's just over a mile to town.
  • Staying at Nancy's is a formidable experience. The room is great and the surroundings are very beautiful. Her dogs are very friendly and Nancy made the best coffee we have had in the States so far.

  • Rick and I loved our stay with Nancy. She provided a clean, cozy home surrounded by acres of meadow, trees, and lavender. Nancy was helpful and fun to talk with and she made us feel welcome. Her dogs were well-behaved and they definitely added to our visit. We very much enjoyed our trip and making a new friend in Sebastopol was an added bonus.

  • Our stay with Nancy and her beautiful 4 legged family was a tonic. Peaceful surroundings, great location and a host that made us feel at home immediately. After long days exploring the wine country our large bedroom/sitting room was a welcome retreat. Nancy's delicious breakfast of oatmeal and local eggs were a treat! Sitting, sharing beautiful red wine along with lively conversation a bonus. Thanks Nancy.

  • The room was sunny, clean, and comfortable and Nancy is a gracious host, always checking to see if we needed anything. My girls loved the place, and I appreciated Nancy welcoming my daughters to her home, as I was turned down by other hosts not friendly to children. Thank you Nancy!

  • Harry and Lorraine's place was a really great value, and we appreciated all the extra touches they offered, such as a/c, mini fridge, coffee maker with all the fixings, microwave and dishes, toiletries, and tons of great reading material. We found the location to be central to basic amenities in Santa Rosa and an easy drive from the Russian River and even the beach. We enjoyed hearing about the history of their house and seeing their garden. We also appreciated the furnishings, including lots of beautiful pottery. Would definitely return for an affordable and comfortable getaway.

  • Harry and Lorraine were very nice and welcoming. We had a great time at their house. It was very conveniently located for us since we were visiting Calistoga and Guerneville during the July 4th long weekend. House was cozy and accurate as advertised. We will surely come back if we plan to visit the area again.

    Rohan2015-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Superb Hosts. Clean and well- appointed private room. We hope to return!!

    Scott2015-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • If I had to describe Harry and Lorraine in two words, they would be "generous" and "tasteful." Everything I could have possibly wanted or needed during my stay was amply provided - loads of clean towels, lovely soaps, plates and cups, pillows and blankets, interesting books and art. Everything plentiful and everything tasteful! Not only were these lovely people very generous to me, their guest, they also maintain a big vegetable garden where they grow fresh organic produce to donate to an organization that makes meals for the hungry. I was very impressed! The queen-sized bed is very comfortable and the shower is works well, too. There is a refrigerator and a microwave, air conditioning for summer and a heater for chilly nights. Their guest cottage is very private and quiet, and looks out on their garden and a patio with a big mosaic table that had a basket of the produce on it. The whole place conveys the warmth of two people that love life, love nature, love people and love each other.

Traveling with others? We also offer a large room (suite) upstairs. Bookings for a Fri./Sat. are 2-night minimum stay. Note: Our household includes a dog and cats.
Comfortably sleeps one person in a private sunny room off the living room. We've had two people in the room but unless both people are smallish, the bed and room might feel snug. (Also check out our upstairs suite.) Home is centrally located in a quiet in-town neighborhood a short half mile walk to downtown Sebastopol's cafes, restaurants and shops. We're in a great little historic area with sweet old homes.
This is a nice little neighborhood of historic homes and is very walkable. Within 5 minutes there are restaurants, shopping, wine tasting, walking/bike trails. Great markets include Whole Foods, Community Market, Farmers Market (Sundays) and more!

Our place is close to downtown Sebastopol, the charming village of Occidental, Bodega bay (town and beach), wine tasting venues, hiking trails. You’ll love our place because of the location, the culture, the natural beauty (with redwood forest close by) and most of all, the amount of energy and care we have put into making our home both cozy and sacred. Everywhere you look there is beauty! . Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
  • A beautiful home in the redwoods where Rayjo made us welcome. She made check in easy, gave us great recommendations and laid out a lovely breakfast in the morning. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub and peaceful pond.

This cozy and arty Burgundy Room makes a perfect wine-country getaway for a couple or single person. Double/full bed, closet, double window, and a desk and chair. Your bathroom is separate and has lovely vintage tile, a tub/shower and towels. You might have the bathroom all to yourself--or share it if Airbnb guest(s) are staying in the other bedroom.
This is a mid-century ranch with local artwork displayed in your bedroom and throughout the house. Enjoy the large living room as well as the dining room, back patio, and huge back yard. In the kitchen, help yourself at any time to the coffee and tea on the counter. You also have access to the kitchen for light cooking, which includes: stove top, oven, fridge, microwave and counter-top toaster oven. And pots, pans and eating utensils, of course. (As a courtesy to other guests, I ask that you cook light meals only--and no fish--and leave the kitchen as clean and tidy as you found it.)
The Russian River and redwoods are only a 15-minute drive, the ocean is 25, and beauty is across the street! And it is so cool to be only 3/4-mile from downtown Sebastopol yet feel like you're really out in the country (because you are!) If you walk into town, you'll pass pastures, wetlands, cows and maybe even horses. In the distance you'll see vineyards, hills and a winery. This is the beauty people come to Sonoma County for! Downtown Sebastopol is small, charming, super friendly, and has great restaurants. CVS has free electric-car charging stations (about 1 mile from the house). Nearby are all the wineries you could want to visit.
  • We spend one night at Martias place on our way to San Francisco. Nice house with 3 guest rooms in total, which we shared we another couple from India as well as Mexico. Martia was very kind and welcoming, showing us our room and where to find what. Came in late so i cannot really refer to the area or location, but if you look for a place just outside of San Francisco you'll definitely find a good night's sleep at Martia's!

  • If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Martia was the most welcoming host and her house is adorable. We felt more than at home.

    Joseph2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Martia’s space was beautiful and in the perfect spot, situated right outside of downtown. Martia greeted us when we arrived and gave excellent recommendations of how to spend our time that evening and the following morning while we were in the area. Very comfortable and easily accommodating!

    Wendy2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I would HIGHLY recommend a stay in Martia’s home! She is the consummate hostess. Everything about my stay was fantastic. Her home is kept spotless clean, and I’m guessing she is a interior designer by how her home is decorated. Beautiful artwork. I slept very well in my bed and I always felt “at home” during my 5 day stay. A comfortable Ying and Yang balance. I was very comfortable having conversation and gaining local knowledge from her, and conversely she has an innate sense for giving you your “space”. She has extensive experience locally so was able to offer “insider” suggestions for many activities, places to eat, shop, etc. If you want one of the best Airbnb experiences you’ve had, get a room, or all of her home. Stay with her, you’ll be glad you did!

• Wonderful host, comfy spot, sweet town. Had a great time.

  • I was in Sebastopol for a weekend workshop and needed someplace for Saturday night. The house is clean, airy, and very easy to get to. Martia was wonderful, she met me after class to give me a key and show me where everything was. The restaurant recommendation she gave me was great. I enjoyed our conversations. I'd definitely stay here again.

    Gayle2017-06-25T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely home and host! Beautiful view of the area from the living room and great communication. Thank you!

  • I needs to change plans in last minute and Martia was very patient and kind!

  • I travel often with my two daughters and it was our first time renting a single room in a home. How lucky we were to meet Martia - it was a wonderful experience. We booked very last minute and Martia was prompt in responding. She’s a very warm and sincere host who invited us into her home as if we were old friends visiting. Our room was clean, cozy and just as described. I was grateful to be able to sit and work in the living room after my daughters went to sleep. Thanks for your hospitality Martia, the three of us enjoyed our evening and we look forward to returning.

    Kathleen2018-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay at Martia's warm and inviting home! Her patio, surrounded by a lovely flower garden, was the perfect spot for a peaceful & relaxing morning...drinking our coffee/tea while chatting with Martia and other guests.

Quiet room in historic home near delightful downtown Sebastopol. Enjoy excursions to Pacific Ocean (20 minutes), redwoods, art galleries & wineries. Great for bicyclists. Double bed & shared bathroom (tub and shower). Sunny porch & garden oasis.
My home is very central to downtown shops, grocery stores including Whole Foods and spas, great theater and cinema. Library and boutiques as well as fine dining within Charming coffee houses nearby. Nice walking paths and great outdoor sculpture.this i
This is a very sunny part of town and it is very comfortable walking around night or day. The varieties of trees is impressive and many gardens are unusual. There are huge oaks and redwoods as well as conifers and my garden alone has 10 fruit trees, vegetables and 4 kinds of berries.
  • Lynnda is a very warming, lovely and interested person. We felt right at home in her cute and cosy house. Thank you so much Lynnda for your wonderful welcome!!!

    Theresa2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lynnda was a wonderful host! This was a last minute trip and she was quick to respond and was very welcoming when we arrived. The house is walking distance to town where they have tons of great restaurants and shops. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

    Emily2014-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lynnda was a very kind and gracious host. The room is in the front of the house which appears to possibly have been added on along with the sunroom porch. We stayed during a very muggy day and the room was quite humid throughout the night, but thankfully Lynnda had a large fan that we placed on the window sill top blow in very nice cool air from outside into the room. The shared bathroom worked well thanks to Lynnda's system. Breakfast was very nice and thoughtful with elegant plating. Location is fantastic if you are exploring Sebastopol or the surrounding area.

    Rafael2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • She gave me a tour of her home and all amenities... She clearly showed me where everything was at and where I could put all my belongings.

    Steven2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lynnda is a gracious host, welcoming and helpful. The room is comfortable and cozy. We had a great stay!

    Brian/Anne-Sophie2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lynnda's home is lovely and her guest bedroom is a terrific place for a great night's sleep. I always enjoy talking to Lynnda and learn a lot from her. Her home is a cheerful and wonderful place to stay.

    Susan2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a great location. The host is friendly and willing to engage or not depending on what you need and want. The room is simple and as shown in the photos. I needed an easy place at the end of a long work day and this filled the bill.

    Elizabeth2015-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very brief stay and didn’t get to spend much time in Sebastopol proper, but it was a very conveniently located, charming, very well-maintained room/home in a cute and definitely safe-feeling, neighborhood. As the listing states, it is a historic home, so bring some light sleep-clothes because the early part of the night was fairly warm in the room due to no air conditioning; but I appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host having the room windows open and the table fan running when we arrived. And for those less comfortable walking barefoot, bring some house socks or slippers because the nice rug in the room is currently a shoes-off zone. We have some friends in Santa Rosa and would definitely enjoy staying here again, and maybe exploring Sebastopol next time!

  • I appreciate that Tim was very responsive with respect to answering all of my many emails prior to my arrival at his home. Upon arrival, I found his home to be exactly as I expected based upon the pictures provided. The room was very clean, quaint, and spacious. Furthermore, Tim and Jackie were very hospitable and made my stay that much more enjoyable.

    Sandy2016-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tim and Jackie are the best! They are as adorable as their Laguna house.

    Jared2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We've stayed here 3 separate times and have always enjoyed our stay with Tim and Jackie. They are excellent hosts and have a beautiful property in a country setting. The room is spacious with a private entrance. Take a walk in their English garden with a view of the Sonoma hills. Their location is convenient too as it's close to downtown Sebastopol but still has a quiet, rural feel.

    Pam2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect spot if you want to be close to the water and to Sonoma/Napa. Tim and Jackie are wonderfully warm, engaging hosts and will make sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. Be sure to check out The Barlow’s if you plan to stay local to Sebastopol. Enjoy!

    Nicole2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed staying with Tim and Jackie and were welcomed warmly. The bedroom is very comfortable and the kitchenette made it easy to make breakfast in the morning. Cereal, milk, eggs, bread, butter and homemade marmalade were provided, along with tea and coffee-making supplies. Tim and Jackie provided information about local restaurants and walking nearby in the Laguna (nature park) area. We visited in mid-August and were pleasantly surprised that, with the window and overhead fan, it was not necessary to use the air conditioner at night.

    Elizabeth2016-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect little spot! Tim and Jackie were wonderful hosts - easy to communicate with and very helpful. The space is an upstairs apartment with a full kitchen (breakfast included) and bathroom, and a television with a million channels. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I woke up every morning to birds chirping. Lovely! I didn't get a chance to explore the garden, but hope to make it back some day to do so. :)

    Emily2016-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our hosts were wonderful and actually the room was much nicer than we anticipated. I would recommend this airbnb to anyone staying in Sebastopol. The only issue I had was with the bed being too soft for me. I realize this is a completely subjective issue. My wife thought it was quite comfortable.

    Mark2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very special. The hosts, Tim & Jackie, are great people and make you feel at home, not just a rental guest. Their home and the apartment that you stay in is just as described, so you can count on no negative surprises. I was there a full week and I really enjoyed it. I would definitely go back again.

In the heart of Sonoma's wine and redwood country, we offer a beautiful setting to relax and restore. We are a short walk from the Wildflour Bakery, Osmosis Enzyme Spa, [featured in Sunset magazine], the Artesian Cheese shop and a vegetable farm.
On 44 acres of pasture and redwoods, we offer a lovely, private bedroom, [in its own building], up a short flight of stairs. It has it's own deck overlooking a view of redwoods and fruit trees. The private bathroom and shower are downstairs. It comfortably fits two people. Ten minutes from Bodega Bay, we are located in the heart of the redwoods and wine country! Nearby hiking, biking, water sports, wineries, and fabulous restaurants are a short drive in any direction. Freestone Paradise has just been renovated with "green", in mind. The bed is handmade organic cotton and the building materials are non voc. At this time we are not set up for pets.
Freestone is a quaint, historical, charming spot. Too small to be called a town, it boasts a fabulous bakery, cheese shop, winery, an enzyme spa, and Busy Bee's vegetable farm! We are ten minutes from the ocean, just as close to Occidental and Sebastopol, and twenty minutes from the Russian River. The climate is moderate, but bring layers as the temperature can vary, even in the course of a day! There are art studios, farmers markets, outdoor concerts, and, of course, the diverse countryside. Each nearby town boasts it's own unique flavor. It is a slice of paradise.
  • Melanie was extremely welcoming and was a wonderful host. She made sure that we had everything we needed and made great local dining recommendations. Additionally, she has a beautiful short hike right there on the property, with fruit trees, berries and redwoods. My wife loved our stay and would definitely come back. Super clean, comfortable and romantic. Highly recommend!

  • We stayed one night at the cozy little appartment from Melanie. It was such a nice experience and we enjoyed it a lot. The room was very romantic in the middle of nature. Without wlan or tv you can relax and switch off perfectly. Melanie was very friendly and the room was beautifully prepared. thank you!

  • A perfect location for a outdoor/environmentally friendly minded couple looking for a quiet getaway. Host is friendly and attentive. Location is quiet and serene. Enjoying coffee on the porch in the morning is a must.

  • Melanie and Troy were welcoming hosts and flexible with check and check out times. They have a peaceful and private spot in a remote country setting. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely indoor/outdoor bungalow. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully painted and decorated with lovely prints and antiques. The bed was comfortable. The deck served as an outdoor living room. We enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the quiet and solitude during the late afternoon, at night watching the stars and in the morning for sunrise. Melanie and Troy offered great suggestions for restaurants for dinner and breakfast, and provided organic half and half for our morning coffee! We would recommend their place for people who like to be outside, watch birds and enjoy the quiet this location can offer.

    Helen2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely time staying here. Melanie and her family welcomed us with coffee and fresh fruit from their garden, as well as plenty of great suggestions for hikes, local eats, and other activities. The accommodation was the right blend of comfortable and modern, and felt very private. All the above plus the location between the coast and wine country made it a perfect homebase for a relaxing getaway!

    Kelcie2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Freestone cottage is absolutely perfect! At one with nature, the property is exemplary. The lodging suited our needs wonderfully! Amazingly private, expansive views, felt like home. Waking up to fog and deer grazing feet from the deck. Hummingbirds, flora, etc. Super close to many wineries and great food. This plus Melanie and Troy's hospitality, it cannot be beat! We can't wait to return!

    Teresa2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie and Troy were wonderful hosts! Gracious with their garden and making sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful, large deck to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine.

    Julie2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie and her husband were most gracious. They pointed us to walking trails, gave excellent recommendations where to eat in Sebastapol, and left tea in the morning for us. They were there to greet us, as well as a friendly cat!

This quiet room is spacious with lots of light and is surrounded by greenery and a lovely sunset view. Your retreat is on a quiet private road and is not far from walking and biking trails, a beautiful state park and is a 20 minute drive from the beach. It's on the outskirts of town, where you'll see the stars and hear crickets sing in the evening, but it's still walking or biking distance to downtown restaurants & tea house, farmer's market, movie theater, yoga classes and more.
  • What works: super easy to sebastapol & the nature surrounding. Comfy bed and parking. What may not: Windows have zero privacy, some see into neighbors across the street and one looks into kendra’s house slightly. The bathroom is very small and drawers seemed to be shared between home and guest. This air bnb, I believe, would be better listed as a shared home.

    Sarah2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was great. But, the listing was not accurate as I read it. I only take a bath. The ad read bathroom through living room but there was no bath but a small shower that had not much space and not much pressure. The cozy garden retreat was also not accurate I am sorry to say. The gardens were not kept (I am a painter and looked forward to such gardens) and the cozy did not happen due to the extreme cold during the nights that I stayed. The one cat was wonderful and the place has huge possibilities. The host left tea which was nice. A morning roll or muffin would have been nice.

    Loretta2016-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquil, Spacious, Clean, Comfortable, and Welcoming. I stayed here for a night after a meditation retreat before re-entering the bustling bay area. It was really lovely and relaxing. I really enjoyed chatting with Kendra and her precocious daughter Kali. The room is huge and has a great library for a health and wellness geek like myself.

    Elias2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space. Tons of space and great lighting with big windows all around. Nice private entrance. Must cross the owner's living spaces to access the bathroom, but the bathroom itself is all for you. Kendra herself was very friendly and apologetic when the hot water was being fussy. Only complaint was the room smelled a bit of cats.

    Jonathan2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space and the cats made me feel super welcome. Very cuddly and sweet! It's a really beautiful spot and the big, spacious room is magnificent. Lots of books and desk space and comfortable bed. You go through the main house to get to the bathroom. I would love to stay there again!

    Linda2018-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • You are getting just that--a room, with no privacy to the neighbor across the street. The host's cat will cry and scratch at the door if you don't let it in. You'll need to shut off all the lights in your room before it will finally give up. Nice location, but not worth what you pay.

    Michele2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kendra's place is situated on a steep hill down a bumpy private road. For some, the views and quiet are a good compensation for the bumpy drive. The room is enormous and full of light, with many windows, but no window coverings. The bed is comfortable and the nights there quiet. Kendra is friendly, and her toddler daughter is sweet.

    Marcia2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kendra is a great host. The room is very comfortable (warm and clean) and surrounded by nature. The private entrance to the room was nice. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • This is a place I truly recommend! Good location, short walking distance to downtown Sebastopol. The room was like the pictures, cosy and clean. The best part of our stay, was yet Martia herself (and also her foster dog at the time, Yogi). Martia was so welcoming, open, warm and truly generous. She is more than happy to engage in social interaction, but is in no way intruding. A very comfortable host. She gave us all the best tips for what to see and do in Sebastopol, and where to eat, no need for TripAdvisor here! I hope to return some day to stay again.

Martia and her dog were very welcoming and Martia gave us good hiking and restaurant recommendations and places to check out downtown. We had a nice room with a comfortable bed and clean shared bathroom with a few of the other guest staying in other rooms. There was easy parking in the driveway. I recommend staying here any time!

  • When I read "The Perfect Stay" I was intrigued to find out if it was true. Let me tell you that it was more than that. Staying with its relaxed and warm hosts included: very clean and comfortable room and bed, impecable bathroom, great and healthy breakfast with peaches from their own garden, access to a sleek kitchen and comfortable dining and living room, super nice cat that my daughter enjoyed very much playing with. It made my visit so much nicer. I already missed them.

  • Both Dan and Korin were lovely hosts. My time was brief, but incredibly pleasant. I appreciated the cleanliness, the hospitality, and how calm it was. Next time, I hope to spend time in the patio chatting. I'm excited for future visits! Thanks for everything!

  • Had a very enjoyable 3 month stay with Dan and Korin. They are extremely welcoming and easy to get along with, and I highly recommend staying here! Definitely plan to stay here again if I'm in the area

    Drew2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived they were very welcoming and gave us a small tour about our space. The bedroom was nice and quaint with a great bed (Important for me and my scoliosis). The bathroom was nice and fully stocked with travel size everything. Their living room was very homey as well and offered a good amount of space to lounge. They also had a mini fridge in the bedroom for any late night snacking needs! In the morning they cooked us some breakfast, pancakes with eggs and bacon! We only got to stay with Dan for a night, but we wish we could've stayed longer. It was a great stay! Thanks again Dan! =]

  • My wife and I stayed with Dan and Korin for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. Korin made us feel comfortable the moment we arrived. She showed us around the place and made sure we had everything we need. Our room was nice, clean and we were comfortable there with the tv, Wi-Fi, snacks and drinks from the mini fridge. The bathroom was equally nice with toiletries in case you forgot any back home. That's a great touch! Korin also made a full breakfast in the mornings. Dan and Korin are fantastic hosts. We shared great stories with them and they could not be friendlier. If you are looking for a place in the area, you can't ask for a better experience. Their tagline is appropriate, it was the perfect stay!

  • I had such a great stay with Dan and Karin that I chose to extend my stay for a second time!

    Erik2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Dear Dan and Koran, I want to thank you for a wonderful experience while staying at your home. You were so gracious and nice to me and my daughter at a very emotional time and made us feel totally at home. Your home is beautiful and you guys are wonderful and I loved staying with you. Whenever I need to be in Santa Rosa again I will definitely be hoping to get a reservation to stay with you in your lovely Airbnb. Sincerely, Nancy

  • I went for 3 nights and ended up staying a week! I was in the area on family business, and feel so lucky that I was able to extend my stay with Dan and Karin. They made me feel so much at home and were very warm and compassionate hosts. They gave me space when I needed it, and were there to visit with when I wanted that, too! The home is lovely - and so is the kitty Furn! Never seen a cat play soccer before! The room had everything I needed and was very comfortable - especially the bed. The private bathroom was clean and elegant. Convenient to wineries, shopping, restaurants, swimming, and walking trails. Thanks Dan and Karin for being great hosts - next time I'm back in the area I'll be sure and see if you have room! :)

  • I under estimated this place! Such a gorgeous back patio area with hot tub, pool, and lounge areas. The view is breathtaking. Extremely relaxing and away from it all yet close enough to enjoy a delicious meal; dine at FORK Roadhouse. Kendall is a delightful host ;)

    Jessica2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I sadly can't recommend staying here. From the pictures it looked like the garage was made into a studio, which seemed fine. The reviews were positive, so I went for it. I told the hosts that I would arrive between 7-9pm. The hosts checked in with me at 9:30pm wondering if I was OK, I apologized and let them know I was delayed after being in town. When I arrived at 10pm, Kendall met me in the back and brought me to the garage. The host let me into the garage I where I was to sleep, which was attached to their "car" garage. I was slightly taken a back because the car garage smelled like oil and was attached to where I was to sleep. The air bnb space was clean and nicely done as the pics showed, but when I walked in I was immediately hit with a powerful plug in air freshener smell. I let the Kendall know that I was allergic to the smell of air fresheners and she apologized, saying the garage was smelling musty so she plugged the air freshener in. We opened the windows and unplugged the air freshener, but in my experience it takes a few days for a strong smell like that to dissipate. I was there for about 20 minutes when the smell started to get to me. I texted the hosts, and they both came into the garage. When I told them that I sadly couldn't stay due to the smell, Ken the host was rather sharp and said "We unplugged it, the smell isn't bad, you can sleep outside or go into the hot tub and wait for it to go away." I was totally taken a back, as I have never had a host be unkind to me before. I understand it was late and was an unintentional accident on their part, but a simple apology/understanding goes a long way. First Ken said "no" he couldn't refund me, then Kendal apologized and said she would make it right and fully refund me, and now they are saying they want to give me half due to my late arrival. It's a bummer, as I have never had to deal with this on airbnb before. Oh well, live and learn. So if you are not sensitive to smell and don't mind staying in a nicely decorated garage that could get musty and is attached to the main car garage--then this space could definitely work. The backyard looked lovely--and it has a pool and a jacuzzi too. Different strokes for different folks.

    Kiera2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was probably our favorite AirBnB stay thus far. The room is a spacious converted garage space, secluded from the rest of the house. The outdoor shower was surprisingly refreshing whether it was under the stars at night or in the brisk morning air. Sitting in the hot tub at night looking out over the orchards was so relaxing. The house is in the countryside outside Sebastapol, so quiet and secluded. Highly recommend, and hope we can come back again sometime!

    Arlin2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really great place to spend a few nights exploring. It's about 20 mins to Santa Rosa, 30 mins to Tomales Bay, and 30 mins to Healdsberg. The room is small but very comfortable and I loved loved loved the outdoor shower :) Ken and Kendall were warm and welcoming and very quick to answer any questions we had. Their home and yard is lovely and we enjoyed the pool and eating dinner under the stars next to the orchard. Highly recommended!

    Jay2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing AirBnb! The room is super comfy and really cool to hang out in! The property is really beautiful too. Ken and Kendall were great hosts, I felt like I had loads of privacy. Highly recommended!

    Alexandrea2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! Will totally visit again. Perfect for studying, pet friendly and lovely hosts!

    Danielle2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Kendall's place was absolutely incredible! They had everything we could need- water, toothbrushes, towels, etc- and were completely prepared for our stay. Ken welcomed us with a bonfire already started, showed us around the place, and told us the hot tub and pool were ready for our use! The house had a beautiful setting among a vineyard with an incredible back yard. The garage transformed room was so clever and cute, clean, and the perfect amount of space. We could have spent an entire week in their place! Ken had great recommendations for food, too! At night, stargazing from the back yard was breathtaking! The next morning, waking up with an outdoor shower was so refreshing and unique. We enjoyed every bit of our stay here and would absolutely return! Thank you so much, Ken and Kendall!

Welcome to "Casa de Quercus", which means "Home of the Oaks". I just created this second listing for my guest room so I can showcase the twin beds option. You can read my many positive reviews listed as "Casa de Quercus ~ king bed". This is the same room with a different bed configuration. Enjoy the safety, peace and quiet of a rural residential neighborhood about six miles west of 101 and two miles west of Santa Rosa. Close to the city but feels like the country.
Original oak floors and closet doors, new custom paint and complete renovation to make this a true bed and breakfast guest room. Luxury towels and 500 thread count sheets that are 100% cotton. Blankets and bedding are mostly or 100% cotton. Beds are adjustable electric type so you can raise or lower your head or feet, and enjoy a relaxing, vibrating massage. The beds are twin extra long. Your choice of pillows: real down, memory foam or polyester fill. Electric heated mattress pads with three heat zones and wireless remote. Kitchenette in closet features mini fridge with separate freezer, microwave and coffeemaker. Coffee, drinks and snacks are provided free of charge. Breakfast counter has two oak swivel stools, bluetooth stereo and USB charging port. 32" flat panel smart TV on wall (although I may not have cable connected immediately!).
The perfect location to access the beauty of western Sonoma County. I'm just 2 miles west of the city limits of Santa Rosa but people always remark how it feels like the country with how quiet it is here. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac off the main roads means minimal noise outside and none inside the room. You can lock your car or work truck in the driveway and not worry about it. You can take a walk in my neighborhood anytime day or night and feel safe. Everyone is welcome here! Sonoma County has an open and vibrant LGBT community and people of diverse backgrounds are welcomed here and in my home including same sex couples.

Enjoy a cozy night in your private bedroom complete with queen-sized memory foam bed and a private bath across the hall. And in the morning there will be coffee/tea and you are only a short distance from all the beautiful Wine Country has to offer!
Whether you are here on business or vacation, you will enjoy the comfort of the lovely queen bedroom along with a private bath (with tub and shower) across the hall. You are welcome to use the living room for sitting or watching tv. You are also welcome to use the patio for sitting, eating or having a bottle of wine as many guests do. You are a 5 minute drive to downtown Santa Rosa and a short drive to wineries, casinos, hot air ballooning, mountains, redwood forests & the Pacific Ocean with it's beautiful coastal drive. San Francisco is a little over an hour away by car. Our weather is typically 70-90F degrees during summer, with winter averaging 50-60F degrees.
This is a residential neighborhood of mostly families with wide streets, sidewalks and plenty of parking. It is generally very quiet. Occasionally a neighbor will have a party on a holiday but usually just during the day. It is a good neighborhood to walk or jog in.
  • With a warm smile and treats on the bed. The listing was accurate and the neighborhood was inviting. Jane was hospitable and flexible with our arrival time. It helped that she stayed in constant communication as we made our way to her home. The entire setup was great, just what was needed for a quick trip. So grateful that she had a room to rent!

    J.R.2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Listing is as described- memory foam bed, private bathroom, no kitchen privileges, nice sitting area on the back porch. Stayed here for two nights, easy check in.

  • Jane is a very lovely lady and a great host. She always made sure we had everything we needed and was very flexible with our late arrivals from dinners and a wedding. Her place is very nice and clean in a beautiful neighborhood - very convenient location. Would definitely stay again!

    Martina2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was a fantastic host, we had very interesting conversations and she prepared a delicious home-made breakfast for us. Even though we stayed one night, we really felt at home and slept very well! She was very accommodating as we brought a lot of sports gear and needed to use her garden water hose to clean it. Her room is directly in her house (in a quiet neighborhood) and has everything that is needed.

    Agathe2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Jane. The house is immaculate clean, and the bed is cozy and comfortable, the shower is hot with plenty of towels. It is very quiet and feels like home. Jane is an excellent host! She makes the breakfast every morning with fresh baked muffins and fruits. We will definitely stay with Jane again if we travel to Santa Rosa

    Elena2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's home was spectacular. Her communication made it easy from the beginning. This was our first time using Airbnb and because of her we are a fan, although we will probably never experience another "Jane". My daughter said it was like the Aunt she never had. The home was beautiful, our private bathroom was spacious and filled with wonderful shampoo. The bedroom welcomed us with a wonderful note and treats which made our heart explode. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets smelled amazing. Jane's home is filled with warmth and love, more than I could have asked for. Thanks again Jane!

    Jaime2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was very friendly and had great communication leading up to my visit. I felt immediately welcome when I stepped through her door. It was like visiting family, the good side of the family ;)

    Todd2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jane’s home is a sweet sanctuary and full of heart. She is an extraordinary host and we felt at home. She has a darling indoor bunny and sweet 3 legged cat. This home is close to shopping amenities and easy access to the highways in wine country. We had a welcome basket and great communication about her home. Highly recommended this place and miss it already.

  • It's my second time at Arlene's place and I love it. Arlene is a wonderful and considerate host. I sleep so good in this incredible bed and I love soaking in the big tub after a day of movement. I already booked my next stay with Arlene.

    Nic2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING!! Arlene is an absolutely fantastic host. She was so welcoming to us and made us feel right at home. The room was so nice and clean and we would absolutely stay there again. We were able to walk right to downtown/restaurants/bars from the front door. It was great! So book this place with Arlene, you will not be disappointed!

    Jeff2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene's place was as depicted in her photos - warm and ample for a stay. The private entrance, fridge, and microwave provided a retreat during rainy and chilly weather. The balcony and comfy bed were an extra treat. Arlene was the best hostess, introducing neighbors, creating maps to see the area, inviting me to dinner and requesting suggestions to make my stay complete. Many thanks for a comfortable stay!

    Janice2018-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • What you see if what you get. Arlene's presentation on this cite is accurate to a "T". You may want to know there is no bathroom door and as pictured the tub is in the bedroom area. It is upstairs with a private entrance, and there is a balcony where you can sit and enjoy the garden. It is a very quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to restaurants, parks and shops. We loved the fact that most of the restaurants offer vegan and vegetarian food, organic and non-GMO foods. A superb place to spend some time.

    Jeannine2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene did a great job of welcoming us when we arrived and giving us the rundown. The room is charming and the location was great. I'd definitely recommend it.

    Brendan2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene’s home provided the perfect home base for our weekend away in Sebastopol. We loved that we were able to meet her and Oliver (her doodle) upon our arrival, and also liked that we had our own entrance so that we could come and go as we pleased. The balcony overlooking Arlene’s beautiful garden was an unexpected highlight. The neighborhood where Arlene’s home is is lovely, and we met quite a few neighbors over the course of the weekend. As a heads up to future guests, the bathtub/shower is in the bedroom and the bathroom does not have a door so if you’re traveling with another companion, I’d make sure you are comfortable with one another before you stay at Arlene’s place :)

    Rachel2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene greeted us as soon as we got there and gave us a run down of the room and tips of what to do/eat nearby. After giving us her number to contact her for anything else, we really didn’t see her again, which I liked because I didn’t feel pressured to talk to her unless we needed to. Would recommend for both introverted and extroverted travelers! As for the room, it was very clean and spacious. The backyard is beautiful and available for guests to lounge in. There were no surprises (the pictures and descriptions were pretty spot on). Very close to restaurants and supermarkets. People in town were friendly. It was a great spot for a mini get away over the weekend.

    Amy2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Arlene is responsive, accommodating, and an excellent host. Her place is clean, well furnished and in a great location where could walk to Main St. I would definitely recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

  • I loved staying at Al and Glenn's beautiful home. The upstairs is private and super comfy. There's a wonderful balcony that overlooks a gorgeous view of vineyards and an apple orchard, as well as 2 bird baths that get plenty of use. There was also a hummingbird couple that we were able to get up close and personal with as they were very curious about us hanging up on what they consider to be their balcony! Al and Glenn are super nice and welcoming. It's quiet, close to town and a place I would return to if the need arises.

    Jodi2014-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Al is a great host. Everything was spot on and we enjoyed our stay. Just FYI - now Uber does pick-ups from his place so was great to enjoy wine country and not have to drive :)

    Jess2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Al's. He was a wonderful host and made us feel really welcome. Although the rooms we had were part of the main house they felt quite separate and the living area that we used for our nephew to sleep in had an awesome little deck where we had our coffee in the morning and watched the birds in the back yard. Super clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need for an overnight or longer.

    Caroline2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay in Al's guest suite. The home is as pictured and the suite even better in person! The view of grapevines and orchards was great to take in with our morning coffee. Al was a friendly and gracious host.

    Owen2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time at Al's place. It was as having my own appartment. From the balcony there is a great view overlooking vingnards and orchards. Al has been a perfect host providing me with information on vineries, places to go for dinner and even providing the essentails for a breakfast. I can highly recommend this lovey place. Ursula

    Ursula2014-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Al and Glenn for sharing your lovely home with us. The location was central for exploring West Sonoma, Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, Russian River and the coast. The guest quarters are upstairs and very private. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was upscale, the living room was stocked with snacks and water - everything was perfect and I would highly recommend Al's place.

  • Place was great, was only there for one night so only needed the basics. The big plus was that I forgot my cufflinks and didn't want to purchase more, luckily the hosts lent me cufflinks for the night. They're great conversationalists as well!

  • Gloria's place is perfectly located in Sebastopol for sight seeing and also exceptionally quiet in a private orchard. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were outfitted with everything we could need for a comfortable stay. Gloria is an excellent host and I would recommend her place for a weekend getaway for couples and families alike.

  • Great option for a family - we had our kid stay in one of the rooms so we could stay up a bit later and got a sitter one night. Very clean and comfortable. Basic stuff you need to reheat food and some fruit/breads - only improvement would be kitchen access, but given the price a great deal! Very pretty deck/table area!

  • Gloria's place is so cute and comfortable! We were a party of three and found it just right for a night in Sonoma County. The beds were very comfy, the space exquisitely decorated and full of thoughtful touches. Loved the basket of toiletries and coffee and snacks provided. Location is a quick drive to restaurants in downtown Sebastopol and not too far from great hiking on the coast. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Rebecca's place. Great location, very quiet and private. The views are amazing and the studio is spacious and welcoming. It was also very nice to find a few treats for our enjoyment in the mini-fridge.

  • This is a beautiful place to stay. Standing looking out at the vineyard really gives you the true feeling of what Sonoma County is all about. It is very peaceful here and a great place to unwind. I highly recommend it!

  • The place is beautiful - breathtakingly so from the gazebo. The room and bed are comfortable (even with no A/C, we were able to sleep comfortably on literally the hottest day in years - 107 degrees daytime temp). Rebecca is so thoughftul and stocked the room with very thoughtful extras (water, yogurt, dishes, etc.). Would happily stay here again if I could!

  • Rebecca was a great host. Not intrusive but still welcoming. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Loved the peace and quiet of the country, with the lovely town of Sebastopol just 10 minuets away.
