The Den is a unique space within the Lake District - a Scandinavian style BBQ cabin. A large BBQ pit in the centre to sit around provides a cosy relaxing evening space, and a place to cook! WiFi, Fridge, Microwave, Kettle & Nespresso. Bedding provided, and a heated blanket! 8 minutes by car to Windermere, 5 minutes to Kendal. Easy access to a bus stop and cycle lane. Dales Way very close by. A camping-type toilet and sink (hot & cold water) next to the cabin. Dogs welcome £5/night extra.
Set in 2/3rds of an acre of beautiful gardens with private countryside views. Off street private and secure parking is provided. Toilet is located next to The Den in a separate shed. The sink has running hot & cold drinking water. Please note there are not shower facilities, but the sink with running water is suitable for taking a daily wash.
We are about half way between Kendal and Windermere. The main cycle lane into the Lake District is directly across the road, as is the Dales Way walking path. The Den is in a semi-rural setting with views to the surrounding countryside. For clarity's sake, during busy rush hours there is some traffic noise from the road, but evenings and nights are typically quiet. Please note that we are not the Windermere Camping Site, despite the AirBnB map showing it close by!
  • Quel endroit merveilleux!

Double bedroom, huge adjoining living room (with basic kitchenette and double sofa bed) and modern bathroom all for the exclusive use of our guests. Free parking.
Although the suite is part of our house, it is private and self contained with its own access so you can come and go as you please. The suite can comfortably accommodate 4 people with 1 double bedroom, large private living room (28ft x 21ft - 8.5m x 6.5m) with basic kitchenette and double sofa bed and a modern private bathroom. Please note: there are no cooking or washing up facilities in the suite. Crockery and cutlery is provided for breakfast and/or takeaway food and we collect and do the washing up for you when requested! All rooms have double height ceilings with exposed beams, great views across Kendal's rooftops to the hills beyond and plenty of character. The living room has 2 large lounging sofas (one of which opens to a comfortable double bed) a 48" Smart HD TV and DVD player and kitchenette with fridge, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and Aeroccino milk frother, toaster, crockery and cutlery. The bedroom has a double bed, flat screen TV and digital radio. The bathroom has a large free-standing bath with hand held shower, twin sinks, underfloor heating and glass towel warmer. There are ice cubes in the freezer compartment of the fridge. Please take a look at our guidebook for details of local restaurants and eateries we recommend. We own a miniature Dachshund (very small). Her name is Miss Saveloy Sausage or Savvy for short. She is very quiet, friendly and adores children but is never allowed in the suite (she can't get up the stairs - they are too big)!
There is a superb supermarket 2 minutes walk away that stocks a wide variety of local and specialist produce and has an excellent cheese counter, deli section and off licence. Kendal's bustling high street is one minute's walk away where you'll find plenty of shops, a library, the post office and several banks. There's a Costa on the main high street and Caffe Nero is in the marketplace. It's worth exploring Kendal's historic yards where you'll find many of our more individual retailers and businesses. The market town of Kendal lies just outside the spectacular Lake District National Park, has plenty of pubs, cafés, takeaways and restaurants, 2 museums, a leisure centre with swimming pool, golf course, the Abbot Hall Art Gallery and the Brewery Arts Centre with a theatre, cinemas, art galleries, bars and a regular live music programme (visit the breweryarts website). There are plenty of places to explore with lovely parks (Kendal Castle, Serpentine Woods and Noble's Rest) and pleasant walks along the river Kent right on our doorstep. There is a street market every Wednesday and Saturday and a farmer's market once a month. EATERIES AND CAFÉS WE RECOMMEND: CASTLE DAIRY Visit castledairy.co.uk to book. The Castle Dairy Restaurant and Art Gallery offers a unique dining experience in Kendal’s oldest inhabited building. Staffed by Kendal College apprentices and watched over by chef Robert Stacey, the restaurant provides exceptional food, surrounded by local art work, in a truly unusual setting. NB: Currently closed due to the floods in December 2015. Keep checking their website as they do plan to reopen in March 2017. Five minutes' walk from our place on Wildman Street.

My stone terrace cottage is located in one of Kendal's conservation areas and 5 minutes walk to the station, town centre and the river Kent. The cottage is a cosy, quiet, relaxing space with an enclosed wildlife garden at the back of the house.
The house was built in 1820 as an old weavers house apparently. I renovated it 8 years ago with an open plan kitchen and lounge with wood burning stove. The kitchen has an fan oven and gas hob, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave, and everything you need to cook meals or enjoy a take-out. There is a small kitchen table and chairs that you can get out and use in the house or for breakfast in the garden. The log burner is a treat in winter with a free supply of wood. There is Wifi and a selection of books and maps, allowing you to make the most of your stay. The bedroom is a good size with a comfortable double bed, wardrobe (with full length mirror inside), chest of draws and chair. The bathroom has a bath/shower combination. The enclosed garden out the back gets the sun in the morning till early evening in the summer so you can sit have breakfast or dinner and watch the bees buzzing around wildflowers, pick herbs for cooking or alpine strawberries for breakfast if there are any left :) There's bike (or general kit) storage out the back or in the cellar should you need it. Also bike cleaning facilities. You will have a parking permit for the local area so can park for free either outside the house or nearby. It does get full late afternoon when residents come back from work so you might have to park in one of the adjacent streets. its fine to load outside the door though. Everyone does it.
Kendal is an old market town situated in what i think is one of the most beautiful parts of the country – the Lake District. Its also within 30 minutes drive of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, making it a perfect base for outdoor sport addicts, walkers and sightseers....

South facing, small, traditional Shepherd's hut with views, internal shower, compost toilet, log burner, kitchen area. 2 mins by car to Kendal. Scenic walks from doorstep. Kendal is an attractive market town with an eclectic range of shops, cafes, restaurants, and a lively Arts Centre with a cinema and theatre.
Please note we are NOT on a bus route. You must have a car or rely on taxis into town (2 mins). Our Shepherd's Hut is a unique place to stay: It is situated on the junction between the rural road to Underbarrow and a bridle- way named Gamblesmire Lane which leads to Cunswick Scar and Scout Scar, so it's ideally situated for country walks. It is fully insulated with sheep's wool so is snug, comfortable and warm. There is a microwave, electric kettle, toaster, indoor shower and a compost lavatory. There is a thermostatically controlled electric heater and a Hobbit wood burning stove for cosy evenings in. The stove heats the hut up very effectively, and we often chuckle when people light it on a warm evening and then fling open all the doors and windows when it gets as hot as a sauna. A good tip is to open the little window above the top bunk as this created a cooling draught of air without being too cold. You can walk out of the door and along Gamblesmire Lane, a footpath that leads to Scout Scar and Cunswick Fell. There are bird feeders beside the window so you can watch the birds at close range, including woodpeckers, and will wake to bird song. As the hut faces south east, you will see the sun rise over the hills and the valley below. On clear nights, you'll see the moon rise. At night, owls hoot in the coppice nearby and in summer there are bats flitting about the hut. At present, the shower works but isn't very powerful as there's not enough water pressure. There is cold water in the bathroom sink and hot water in the living area. In frosty weather the water supply has to be turned off and guests use the bathroom facilities in the house. There is bottled water in the hut. There's a seating area outside the hut with a table and chairs and a small firepit. It is situated in it's own little garden, quite near to our house where we also host Airbnb guests and are on hand to help you with suggestions for exploring the wonderfully green, gentle hills of the Lyth and Winster valley with their numerous green lanes and lovely views. The hut is next to the fell footpath gate and there are horse riders, mountain bikers and walkers going by at times, so expect to enjoy saying hello and having a pleasant chat. In summer, there are Lakeland Hound Trail races up the fell. This is a traditional Lakeland sport and very exciting to watch if you get the chance. (It has nothing to do with fox hunting, by the way). The living space in the hut is 7 feet by 16 feet, so it's about the same size as a small towing caravan but with much more charm and character! Shoes off indoors, please! Don't drain crockery on the lovely wooden sink top. Please dry up with one of our best tea towels instead!
Please note, that WE ARE NOT ON A BUS ROUTE and you will need a car to get here from Kendal. There is a car rental next to Kendal station. Public transport will take you to the main tourist areas, but not to the most beautiful and scenic. It is also very slow and frustratingly infrequent. Convenient as a base for the southern Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, our hut is in a secluded position in our garden with easy parking on the driveway. There is a scenic footpath beside it named Gamblesmire Lane that leads to Cunswick Scar, Scout Scar and footpaths to Underbarrow and Crook. Kendal market town is a 2 minute drive by car or a 40 minute walk across the Scar. It has lots of interesting small shops, a market on Wednesday and Saturday, a fabulous Climbing Wall, the Brewery Arts Centre, interesting historic buildings and yards and excellent cafes. There is also The Museum of Lakeland Life and Abbot Hall Art Gallery. Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall are a few miles to the south of the town. There are 5 award winning country inns that serve great food within a 10 to 20 minute scenic car journey of the hut. The nearest, at Underbarrow 10 minutes away is The Black Labrador. There is also a rural pizza delivery service, if you fancy a night in and a take away.

Encore merci!

You I had great times being a guest through airbnb before I began hosting and I want my guests to have a great time being here too. I like meeting people and finding out about their lives and travels. I live separately so guests can relax and enjoy the privacy of their own home from home. But I'm also only next door so I'm usually on hand to offer advice about places to go or if you need help or there is anything which needs sorting out. I also have friends who help me with cleaning and they are close by too if by any chance I'm out of town. Kendal is a market town on the edge of the Lake District. It isn't very big but it's safe and it's pretty with a river running through it and plenty of greenery and tranquility at the castle ruin. Kendal has two excellent and renowned annual festivals. The International Comic Arts Festival in October which again involves the whole town and celebrates all things graphic, cartoon and animé The Kendal Mountain Festival in November for those interested in the outdoors and climbing, film, photography and other cultures. Also look out for Lakes Alive annually at the beginning of September. Houghton House is about 5 mins walk from the centre of town and 10mins from Kendal train station. If you're driving there is roadside parking outside the house. Kendal is easily accessible from the M6 and has a mainline rail station Oxenholme Lake District with direct trains to London Euston 2.5 hours.

My place is close to Lake District, family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, the people, and the neighbourhood. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets). Please enquire about pets as we do allow dogs, but there is a small fee.
Beautiful countryside location! The property is surrounded by very beautiful views. The house is located between Kendal and Sedbergh and is close to the Lake District. ********************************************************************* * FOR ALL NEW BOOKINGS, FIREWOOD ETC IS INCLUDED! * ********************************************************************* Shap Fell Bothy is an iconic and unique building located on Shap Fell, Cumbria, by the A6 road at 1390 ft above sea level. 10 minutes from Junction 39 of the M6 motorway, and 20 minutes from Kendal. The Bothy has been converted to a camping barn from an old telephone repeater station. It is surrounded by moorland and there are no houses or neighbours for miles around. The nearest village with shops is Shap, about 7 miles away. Situated on the main route from John O' Groats to Land's End, the Bothy is suitable for long distance walkers and cyclists, also mountain bikers, ramblers, bird watchers, astronomers, weekend retreats, music practice, or simply for a unique overnight stay. The back gate opens onto public access land, and there are public footpaths and bridleways across the moorland within 100 yards. The Bothy has a roof-window and is an ideal place for star-gazing, as there is an exceptionally low and wide horizon, and low light pollution. Please note: The landscape is bare high moorland, with no trees nearby, and there are power lines a few hundred yards away. The road can be busy in the mornings, but it quietens off by about 9.00 am, and it is exceptionally quiet at night. The property is completely off-grid ie it is not connected to the electricity grid and has no running water. Lighting and low-usage power (eg for phone/laptop-charging) is supplied by wind and solar. Drinking water and water for washing etc are provided (water can be heated on the cooker or stove). There is a washroom in the building, and toilet facilities consist of a Portaloo chemical toilet cubicle outside. Facilities are basic - best described as indoor camping. The accommodation downstairs consists of a main living room with wood-burning stove, tables and chairs; a kitchenette with caravan-type gas cooker (two rings and a grill); a washroom with small sink; and a hallway with coat hooks and space for boots. Upstairs is a lovely sleeping/lounging area, fully carpeted, with roof windows, ambient lighting and low comfortable seating. Heating is provided by a gas heater. Sleeping arrangements: The Bothy accommodates up to 8 people. In the upstairs there are 4 futon mattresses for the first 4 people to sleep on; additional guests can make use of the upstairs seating cushions or bring their own lilos, carrymats etc. Bedding for up to 4 people is available for hire or you can bring your own. Car parking: Ample car parking is provided 100 yards away in large lay-bys. There is a loading/unloading area off the road in front of the Bothy. Pricing: * The basic price is for up to 4 people. Extra guests charged at £10 per person per night * Cleaning charge is £5 per stay, payable at time of booking * No minimum length of stay (apart from at Xmas and New Year) The following are provided for you and included in your booking charge: * Electric lighting and mains sockets for low-level use eg phone/laptop charging * Gas cooker – 2 rings and a grill (gas supplied) * 10L drinking water per day, and large canisters of water for washing, washing-up etc. (Up to three days supply of water is provided) * Crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment including kettle * Tea towel and hand towel * Toilet paper * Futon mattresses for 4 people (but up to 8 people are welcome) FUEL FOR WOODBURNER & USE OF GAS FIRE, AND BEDDING HIRE Prices were changed on 13 February 2019 to allow for a new booking charge inclusive of fuel. Shap Fell Bothy is located just inside the Lake District National Park, on Birkbeck Common, much of which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of species diversity and rare upland habitat. The Common is home to one of the few remaining feral herds of Fell Ponies. The only near neighbours are the birds and the sheep. Shap village is 10 minutes away by car. There are shops, the famous Shap Chippy, heated outdoor swimming pool, pubs and bars. The Bothy is located on the main route from John O' Groats to Land's End, and in summer there are often walkers, runners, cyclists, motorbikers, vintage cars and even a unicycle making this epic journey. The Bothy is mentioned briefly in Wainwright's 'Guide to the Eastern Fells' which is essential reading for walkers. There is a remote weather station about 300 yards south of the Bothy, which can be viewed online. The station gives readings for rainfall, wind speed, visibility, humidity and temperature, and has a webcam which takes a picture every 20 minutes. The station can be viewed on the Cumbria County Council website - just search online for 'Shap A6 weather station'.

Welcome to The Cosy Corner, a comfortable bolthole for two people in the beautifully situated town of Sedbergh. Woven into the Victorian fabric of The Yorkshire Dales, The Cosy Corner situated on the first floor, and has a great vantage point to take in the views. It makes the perfect place for a break, just at the end of Main Street - so within a few strides of the local shops, some great eateries, pubs and of course, the foot of Winder.
The Cosy Corner is set on the first floor of 86 Main Street - above the Charity Shop 'Clutter Books & Clobber'. The Brown Door in the Alley leads to a communal hall way, and on the first floor you can find the private entrance to The Cosy Corner. There is no lift in this Grade II Listed Building. Parking is available in Joss Lane Car Park for extended stays.
Sedbergh dates from as early as Saxon times however it's now known chiefly as England's book town and has a charming bustling feel about it. Surrounded on all sides by the mighty Howgills and rolling green countryside, it retains much of its old-world charm and is perfect for exploring on foot. There are gentle riverside ambles and challenging fell walks available right from the door. You could get well kitted out and head to Cautley Spout, arguably England's highest waterfall, a few miles out of town. Set in a restored Victorian Woollen Mill just outside town, Farfield Mill has been developed to showcase textile arts and give a window into the history of the industry. Gorgeous crafts are available to buy there and the cafe makes a great place to stop for a treat. The town boasts several good pubs and cafes within a short potter and countless places to peruse books for the bibliophiles among you. Sedbergh's privileged situation on the western side of the Yorkshire Dales and within easy reach of the Eastern Lake District makes it a fantastic spring board for exploration. You could take a ride on the Settle to Carlisle railway from Garsdale, visit stunning caves at Ingleborough or explore the world of Beatrix Potter in the southern Lake District all within an easy drive of this special little town.

Newly refurbished, this modern ground floor apartment has everything you need to enjoy a stay in Sedbergh. Conveniently located for the Yorkshire Dales and for the Lake District, Sedbergh is just 5 miles from the M6, and 15 mins drive from Oxenholme station. It is, however, a lovely spot to visit in its own right! The flat is situated in a quiet residential area just 2 mins walk from the local Spar, and 5 mins from the Main Street. Free Parking is available directly outside.
The apartment has two bedrooms, one with a King sized bed; the other, smaller room simply with two single beds (trundle bed). All furniture in the apartment was brand new in September 2018, and the fully equipped kitchen comes with extra luxuries such as a Nespresso machine and a bread maker. The bathroom is equipped with a shower cubicle and bath. Most of the plug sockets also have USB built in.
Quiet residential area with very respectful neighbours. Spar supermarket is two mins by foot; Main Street is five mins walk away. On the Main Street you will find a selection of shops, a chemist, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

This is a cosy private room in a terraced house 5 minutes walk away from central Kendal. You will be easy reach of cafes, the castle, the beautiful river & the brewery arts centre. The space is shared with my partner Michelle & the dog, you have access to all the communal spaces & are welcome to cook. Think hostel simplicity! We are a lived in house so spaces will not be sparkling clean but hygienic 😊 Your bedding & towels always laundered but never ironed 😊 on street parking available.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and laundry facilities. A free continental breakfast of cereal and toast is included not to mention as much tea, coffee, chai, herbal tea etc as you like. You are more than welcome to use the kitchen to cook, we have oil, spices etc that you are more than welcome to use. There is no dishwasher unfortunately so the only downside is the washing up :) If you want to get here early or make the best of your last day you can leave your luggage in our front room, as long as the room is vacated by 11 we're not fussy.

The property is in the heart of the town of Sedbergh, with views out of the kitchen window to the fells. Set on a quiet street whilst being only 3 minutes walk to the high street where you can find good pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and various other shops. It is spacious and light and works well.
The sitting room is spacious and light. The dining table seats 6 comfortably. The kitchen runs off this area as do the stairs to the basement which has access outside to paved seating area with views of the fells. The basement is a good size and can be used to store bikes and outside equipment/clothing wellies etc. We have a pool table in the basement.
Sedbergh is a super, well stocked, friendly town. The fells are accessible in minutes and walks are in abundance and if your legs don't feel like going up the fells you can walk down along the river.

A haven for walkers, cyclists and those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle to explore everything that the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks have to offer. We're located at the foot of the Howgill Fells and are just a short walk away from the local shops, amenities and traditional country pubs in Sedbergh.
Bed linen and towels are all supplied, along with basic necessities eg. toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc. I also put some breakfast provisions into the kitchen, cereals, orange juice, coffee, tea, sugar milk etc.
There are several good eating places in Sedbergh providing meals from Breakfast to Dinner. Smatts Duo is a lovely coffee shop and their full breakfast is a real treat. They are open for meals through the day until 5.00p.m. No.6 Finkle Street is a delightful stylish shop with The Mad Hatters Tearoom on the first floor with fabulous drinks and light snacks. The 3 Hares is an artisan cafe providing meals throughout the day and also on some evenings. If you like fish and chips then the Haddock Paddock fish and chip shop is the place to go where you can take out or eat in. The Red Lion and the Dalesman are the pubs in town along with the White Hart social club where you can go in as a visitor. We have a beautiful 9 hole golf course 1.5 miles away set in a very picturesque setting with wonderful views. With tree-lined holes and fairways crossing the river Dee and others running alongside the river Rawthey the emphasis is placed upon accuracy rather than distance. There are several other golf courses within a short drive.

Brand new self contained, en-suite guest accomodation with kitchenette (hob, fridge and sink); amazing views; edge of Dales/Lakes/Pennines! Part of larger detached property surrounded by wildlife friendly gardens (many birds and other wild visitors), and a kitchen garden. Views from the property are of Yorkshire Dales to the East and Pennines to the North. Perfect for walking, cycling, working individuals or a rural getaway.
The guest suite has views towards the Yorkshire Dales and to the south is a small part of the garden and pasture with dry stone walls. The property is located on the edge of the Dales on Ash Fell, close to the Lake District and the Pennines, in Kirkby Stephen. The space is a unique option due to being very well located for visiting the above areas, at low cost, with a high quality modern and stylish finish.
Kirkby Stephen centre is approximately one mile from the property. The town has pubs, cafes, takeaways and restaurants. There are vast numbers of walking and cycle routes in the area. It is a 'walkers are welcome' town. The most prominent fells are; >Hartley Fell (where 9 Standards Rigg is located) >Wild Boar Fell >Tailrigg >Mallerstang Edge Which can be seen and walked to from the property. Most routes can be cycled also. There are also many beautiful walks available along the River Eden, and longer distance walks such as the Pennine Way and Coast to Coast. Other areas of interest and activities locally (within Kirkby Stephen) include: Settle to Carlisle Railway (less than a mile away) Stainmore Steam Railway (less than a mile away) Cumbria Classic Coaches (pass by the property) e-Bike hire Hang gliding Poetry Path Stenkrith Park (where the River Eden drops into a gorge known as Coop Kernan Hole - or the Devil’s Mustard Mill!) If you venture outside of Kirkby Stephen into the Dales, Pennines or Lakes there are endless places to visit. Leaflets will be in your room and I am always happy to provide information. The Tan Hill Pub (highest in UK) is just 12 miles away, and as good a place to start as any...

Bel endroit...

Sedbergh is a stunning old village in the Yorkshire Dale and is surrounded by the Howgills! This is a hotspot for walkers and people who love beautiful countryside. You will struggle to find a more beautiful place. it is quiet and serene but still has everything you will need. There is a gorgeous grocery store with polished fruit and veg on display that looks like it has come out of London, the pharmacy looks small on the outside but when you go in its big selling any medical item you can think of along side designer shampoo and hairdryers, makeup, sun lotion, baby products.. it endless! there is a great fish and chip shop, a trendy bistro serving local artisan produce (3 Hares) There ais the Dalesman for a traditional idillic country pub or the recently refurbished Black Bull for high end food bordering on Michelin star (without the price tag) on a Wednesday there is a farmers market on the main car park selling local home made food! its like going back in time!

Merci jodie

Welcome to The Penthouse, a stylish bolthole for up to six people in the beautifully situated town of Sedbergh. The flat makes a perfect place for a couple (linen for the King Bed is included in the base price) but the wonderfully quirky mezzanine has sofa beds to accommodate up to four further guests (an additional invoice for £15/bed will be sent when you specify your requirements - there's a double and two singles that can be set up)
Woven into the Victorian fabric of The Yorkshire Dales while being a thoroughly modern and stylish apartment, it makes a gorgeous lofty vantage point to take in the views. We have renovated this previous 1 bed flat to enable it to sleep our whole family. The space is enhanced with period features such as exposed beams and window seats and made super comfortable with high-spec fittings and minimalist decor. The Mezzanine has a glass partition wall, and door, so provides little privacy - perfect for family and close friends only. Please let us know on booking which combination of extra beds you'd like made up - there is a double and 2 singles on the Mezzanine. Note the extra one-off £15 per bed linen charge for beds set up on the Mezzanine.

Sedbergh has a strong community and welcomes people from all over the world. It is a safe environment. Offering a good blend of places to relax, culture and places to explore.

Drumlins is a comfortable and accessible one-bedroom cottage located on a peaceful country lane just outside Kendal, near the picturesque village of Endmoor. Its central location makes it ideal for those who wish to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, as well as some beautiful, quieter areas of Cumbria. Drumlins is also well connected. It is just five minutes from Junction 36 of the M6, seven minutes from Oxenholme Main Line train station, a ten-minute drive into Kendal - and there are beautiful walks and cycle routes straight from the door! Entry is via a hallway (very handy for those walking boots!). Once you are inside you will find that the cottage is all on one level with wheelchair friendly wide doors. The newly decorated lounge is lovely, light and spacious, with a comfy reclining chair and sofa which folds out into a double sprung sofa-bed, ideal for kids. To the side of the room are the dining table and chairs. A flat-screen TV and a network-enabled Blu-ray/DVD player is available which also gives access to BBC iPlayer and YouTube. The TV has a range of connection options, including HDMI, so that you can hook up your own devices. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you should need. It has a gas hob, electric fan oven, fridge freezer, a microwave, washing machine, tumble drier and a dishwasher. There are two stools available should you wish to keep the chef company! The bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and plenty of cupboard storage. Guests will enjoy the lovely views of the garden and the farmland beyond. All bed linen is included. The bathroom has a toilet (with handy grab rail), a basin, bath and separate shower with a seat. Towels are provided for guests. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio garden with table and chairs. There are raised beds with flowers and herbs and bird feeders with many, varied visitors. Drumlins is set within the large grounds of our home, Low Park Farm. Surrounding it are almost one and a half acres of beautiful gardens, parts of which you are welcome to explore. Parking for two cars is available at the front of the cottage and there is also a hosepipe available for washing boots, bikes etc. Secure lock-up is available for bicycles if required. WiFi is available throughout the cottage and there is a strong 4g mobile signal with most networks. Local area: We are nestled in a beautiful, peaceful spot with wonderful, rolling countryside (that will be all those Drumlins!) all around. A stroll up the lane will give you great views of the fells of the Lake District and the Howgills. Here is a list just some of the places that are nearby and how long it should take you to drive to them: The village of Endmoor with its shop, bakery, pub and canal side walks...less than a mile Kendal, with great shops, restaurants, museums, arts centre and supermarkets... 10 mins Lake district National Park with all its attractions... 10 mins Yorkshire Dales National Park... 20 mins The coast... 10 mins - yes, strange but true! The city of Lancaster... 20 mins Sedbergh, a national book town... 20 mins Sizergh Castle, a wonderful National trust property... 5 mins Levens Hall with its amazing topiary gardens... 5 mins There are also three fabulous farm shops very close by: Kitridding, Sizergh and Plumgarths.
The peace and tranquillity is superb. The cottage is situated on a former farm with rolling countryside surrounding it.

For our valued heroes on the front line we offer our clean and private entire space. Self check-in, reserved parking, good wifi and woodburner with plenty of logs. Washing machine and clothes drier in the house. On demand boiler with an extra deep bathtub for a well deserved soak.
Perfect for Children: What a great place for kids who absolutely loved the swing off the ceiling rope swing and slide. A magical quirky place to stay! Perfect for children. My daughter loved having an indoor playground upstairs. Our little boy loves the swing and slide. Our 6 year old daughter thought it was amazing! kids had an amazing time. I'm sure they will be talking about it for a long time. The trampolines and swing are an excellent idea, certainly a fun house for children. We didn’t see the kids much; bonus. My children and 2 Little dogs certainly loved it. There are games, books and toys for children to use. My kids absolutely loved staying at this home. Amazing Location: So much to see and do local or a little drive away and a shop that sells all your essentials across the road! A really short walk to the train / town centre. Very good location with riverside walks, restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Short train ride to Windermere for Beatrix potter museum and rowing/ motor boat hire. Responsive Hosts: The communication with our hosts was superb. Jade was a great host, very helpful, great communication. Thank you for decorating the house in birthday banners and balloons for my daughter. She loved it. Rest assured: We’re on call 24 hours a day and have helpers a few minutes away so any little hitches will soon be sorted. Free Reserved Parking Allocated parking behind our adventure space. Great Value Fantastic accommodation at a fantastic price. All in all this was great value for money and we had a fantastic weekend. A good price and good value for money. Excellent Heating Underfloor heating and MASSIVE Bruno fire, so easy to be nice and toasty in November. We have a large wood stack in the house to make sure you'll be nice and warm. Bruno was a highlight for the grown ups, and very effective in heating the place up despite the snow outside. We loved Bruno the log burner! Safe bathing for kids. Unique design allows young children to arrive after a muddy walk and splash about in the bathtub supervised by a parent cooking dinner. This has saved us hours over the years and we consider it a huge safety feature. The toilet, of course, is out of sight and there is a curtain to cover the whole bathroom area for older children or adults. Please be mindful that an extra deep bathtub means an extra high edge. The bath may be difficult for older guests to get in and out of. Trampoline beds: The trampoline bed and hammock was a hit with my kids. Let the kids bounce to their heart's content. Head height is best in the top floor. Black Light Fantasy World We've hired a local artist to turn our upper room into a magical fantasy land. Main blacklight switch on the stairs above the doll's house. Extra tube blacklight switches on the fittings. Your little darling's eyes will glow with delight. Indoor tunnel slide Whizz down to breakfast in style with our tunnel slide. Or race your friends, up the stairs, down the slide and round again. Fun, whatever the weather outside is doing. Washing machine and separate clothes drier both inside the house. Ideal after forest walks.
Castle Dairy opposite Eastern Balti across the road. Riverside pool, Sauna 100 yards. Convenience shop a few steps. Gooseholme park 1 minute away. Train station 3 minutes. Expect some traffic noise, particularly in the morning.
