Over the river and through the woods to The High Lonesome! You will enjoy the river view from the deck. At the end of the 12 acre property is your private river beach. Great for bigger groups! Full kitchen and bath in the main guest house. If over 8 guests, two cabins become available. More than 12? Cabin tents can be set up. Family reunion, company retreats? Lets see if this is the right space for your group! Relax and reconnect and enjoy nature.
The High Lonesome has amazing frontage and access to the East fork of the Lewis River. The river is cold and clear...and breathtaking. There is a hiking trail is right out the back door that follows Copper Creek for a few miles. The High Lonesome is a unique property, as there are 5 beds in the main area plus two cabins up the trail 75 yards that are available for larger groups. We can also pitch cabin tents for extra campers. Have extra family members in an RV? There is space. Lets talk about your event!
To get to The High Lonesome you drive through a state campground. There is 3/4 mile of private road that follows the river with five houses. We are the last one. Afternoons are well spent on the deck with the view of the river or at the nice wide landing at out river beach. The stars at night are very bright as there is not much ambient light. Yacolt is the closest town. It is 10 miles away with a bank, a bar, a post office, a restaurant, a winery, and a grocery store/gas station. Check out the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad for a memorable train ride through the woods and along the river starting in Yacolt. Ape Caves is in the area, and the river is a popular kayaking destination.
  • Lisa is easy to reach and prepares everything before you arrive for your trip.

  • Wonderful, quiet and perfect. Kids splashed all day in the river and couldn't have been happier. Thank you!

  • Lisa is a fantastic host and her place, The High Lonesome, is enchanted. I've been waiting for a chance to show the star-filled night sky to my kids the way I remember it and The High Lonesome finally delivered. We unplugged, left our devices behind, hiked, explored, gazed at the stars and and reconnected as a family. Really wonderful.

  • We had a super fun stay at the High Lonesome! Lisa and her family were accommodating and helpful, but also provided complete space and privacy throughout the stay. Lisa was also very responsive and helpful immediately prior to the stay. During our visit, they took care of the icy paths, offered amenities like toothbrushes, cookies, and propane, and even provided games for us to play. Very considerate! We had about 19 people in attendance, which made for some fairly cozy sleeping arrangements. Just keep that in mind if you are booking for a large group.

  • The High Lonesome... To describe the High Lonesome as anything short of amazing would be a disservice to all the hard work and personality that its hosts have infused it with. Lisa and Brian are helpful, funny and extremely generous. They are kind, and we really appreciated their presence. We brought a large group of family and friends to their property, and they welcomed us with open arms, encouraged us to enjoy ourselves and reached out with advice for everything the amazing setting had to offer. We had bonfires. We went to the nearby swimming hole. We hung out in a hot tub. We chilled, we grilled, we played lots of corn hole. Some people camped; others stayed in beds. Nobody was left out of the fun and natural beauty of this weekend. And it was really nice to be off the cell phone grid, too. The wifi was perfectly limited to an area away from the house, and it was refreshing to hang out with my friends and family, untethered by our cell phones and work lives and all that stuff. It truly was a stunning getaway, and we will be back! Thank you to our hosts, who really are great people who have a small slice of perfection that they're continuing to make even more awesome. If I could, I'd ramble on forever about how great this past weekend was, but I'll spare you. I'll say this in closing: if the High Lonesome seems to good to be true, trust that it isn't. It's amazing. Don't believe me? That's your loss :)

    Shaw2016-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa and Brian were great host. Their Guest house is very nice and was clean on arrival. They are on a beautiful property right by the river. The hot tub is on their side of the driveway but still private and was soo nice to use. They also let me charge my electric car which is always appreciated!! Lisa and Brian were very welcoming, giving us a tour and some beers! However, they never bothered us and would totally leave you alone if you were not feeling social

  • Just like all the other reviews, I must boast about this great location. The area is amazing and the hosts at the High Lonesome are even better. If you are looking for the perfect get away for your friends and family, this is a great location.

  • This was my second time staying at the cabin. We had such a perfect peaceful winter retreat. Lisa and her whole family are so kind and fun. Thank you for another lovely weekend!

Nestled on the bank of the Lewis River on 1.5 acres of alder and hemlock forest with a creek meandering through the property. A 1200 sq. ft. deck wraps the main house with stairs leading down to the river. There are no neighbors on the West side, so you'll have the sunsets all to yourself. Soak in the hot tub or rest in the sauna, or build a fire and wait for the stars to come out. At 1.5mi to the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest and Sunset Falls, there are plenty of recreational opportunities.
There's not a room in this house where you won't see water flowing or cascading through the landscape. The living room offers a wood stove insert and lots of light, and a home theater for rainy days.
Minutes from the Yacolt, Amboy, and Battle Ground.
  • We really enjoyed staying in this house which overlooks the Lewis River. Earl was a very thoughtful host and did everything he could to make sure we had what we needed. The deck was amazing and very spacious. We will be returning to this place again, it was so much fun!

    Lorraine2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was amazing, the river is picturesque and visible from both the bedroom and living room. The fire place was cozy and the hot tub was relaxing. What an great place to stay!

  • The location is gorgeous, the house is cozy and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. This is a great place for a getaway, enjoy relaxing on the deck overlooking the river or relaxing in the hot tub. There are also numerous hiking opportunities close by, and a section of the river not too far away you can swim in. I highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it!

    Blair2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Earl was a real pleasure to deal with. We encountered a few difficulties at check in and, with no cell service or wifi it was a little crazy at first, but once I reached him and got it resolved and we settled in, we so enjoyed our stay! I knew there was no wifi going in, but did not expect the entire area to be so off the grid! Ha ha. Had to travel several miles to even get my cell to work. If you aren't going there to unplug, you better take note. Print your passcodes etc before you arrive! That being said, I highly recommend you do unplug. This place is beautiful and so peaceful, and once the kids accepted their electronic-less fate (since we're dorks and couldn't figure out the too-smart TV until late in the trip), they played hide and seek outside and ran around and around the HUGE deck and in the lush ferns for hours and enjoyed the hot tub and the river with barely a mention of video games. We listened to old records, and built a fire in the fireplace, and a camp fire complete with marshmallows and ghost stores, and enjoyed the sound of happy kids AND complete silence (amazing!) While the home decor seemed to be of the minimalist persuasion, each piece was quality and things were extremely comfortable. There were what appeared to be Pendleton wool blankets and a neat antique type-writer and a cool record player that you can plug your devices into also. We really appreciated the quality of the mattresses and blankets/linens and the TV (once we got it working). Earl was considerate enough to chop plenty of firewood and provide extra camp chairs as well. Some things to note - the river access is kind of steep which I wasn't expecting. However, the deck at the main house is well protected and the stairs have a gate so little ones won't fall through. Makes for a fantastic view! The guest apartment is still being remodeled and is a little rustic and small, but has a sauna and it's own deck with a hot tub. Beds are phenomenal in this one as well. I already mentioned that this place is a bit off-the-grid, so just be prepared for that and it will be a wonderful experience. If you want nature, you will get it here. I grew up in the mountains, so I'm already aware that mice and other pesky woodland creatures are sometimes an unavoidable and frequent occurrence. We did not see any mice, but there are always a few droppings around it seems. The spiders were abundant outside and some invariably make their way in, but nothing too scary. I don't mind the kinds of spiders that mostly "hang" around, not crawl, as they are easy to dispose of they help keep the other bug populations in check. We didn't encounter hardly any mosquitoes! We loved this house and had a very enjoyable experience....

    Nicol2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a fantastic hideaway to a rather busy trip with friends. A full day of relaxing and recharging was needed and this location was the perfect spot to do so.

    Alicia 2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely divine. Wish I could stay there forever. Make sure you have all the details you need from the website or from Earl. No cell service or internet whatsoever. Which is wonderful of course!

  • Can't speak highly enough about this home and Susan. We were in town celebrating a good friend getting married, and my wife and I, and a group of our friends, all stayed here. It was the perfect home, with a large open space upstairs to all gather together and hang out, as well as the amazing back patio, pool, and hot tub. The place was incredibly clean when we got there, and Susan was very clear in her communication to us before, during, and after the trip. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and kitchen were all stocked with all of the necessities, as well as some extra snacks and drinks that Susan provided for us upon our arrival. I would absolutely recommend this home to a friend and look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks for everything Susan!

    Joshua2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • The home and property is even better than the photos! The owners were so easy and helpful to work with and we felt so relaxed and spoiled at their home!

    Rena2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • This home is amazing. It is spacious both in and outside of the house, but there are so many areas that allow for people to come together and enjoy the space together. The views are astounding and it's location allows for access to all the beauty southern Washington has to offer. However, the most impressive aspect of staying here was Susan. She was so accommodating and responsive to our needs and really made the experience easy and enjoyable. She was always there to answer any questions and help with planning activities with fun attractions to look at. I really enjoyed my stay here and would happily recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy Washington and it's beauty.

-We are allowing overnight stays on a case-by-case basis in conjunction with events like weddings. Events will have additional charges beyond the booking fee, a separate contract, and may require additional deposit to secure dates. -We do not have a cleaning service, so we have removed our cleaning fee. Our expectation is that other than laundry, the house and property are left in the same condition as at check-in. Thanks!
Our home is a recently built barn conversion. The original barn was located and dismantled in Michigan then transported to and erected in rural SW Washington. There are many beautiful and inspiring finishes in this 4k sq ft home including a 30 ft cedar tree that acts as a spiral staircase to the second floor and cupola. We have beds for 11 including 1 king, 2 queens, a queen sized sofa bed and a triple bunk. There are also many large, comfy couches. We are located 35 mins to PDX Airport and 50 mins to downtown Portland. More photos can be found at a popular social media site by searching for Skye Farm and Guesthouse online.
We live on a quiet gravel road in the country.
  • This space was everything we hoped for and more. This is a wonderful host, prompt and helpful in every way. We are sure to come back!!

  • TJ was very responsive and welcoming. The home itself was unreal and a great place to host an event. The pictures don't even do it justice. I would recommend to anyone.

  • TJ made us feel very comfortable! He answered all my questions promptly! Wonderful home! Lots of great and comfortable space!

    Jeannette2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • TJ's place is great! So comfortable and lots of space for everyone to spread out. This is perfect if you have a dog, our golden retriever was in haven running around the property. There are even little trails close by to go explore... Everything you could want or need. Our host put up a 20ft christmas tree and left a big basket of goodies to make us feel at home. And speaking of food, the kitchen is a chefs delight! This "little ole" barn came as a big surprise to us and all our guests. Tj was easy to work with and always quick with responding to our questions and coordinating arrival/departure times. Great experience and we will defiantly be coming back!

    Kristin2014-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing home with a serene and beautiful landscap. I would go back again and again. We had a wonderful experience here and there was never a dull moment. The drive out is beautiful as well.

  • TJ and Jill are excellent and generous hosts! We started planning our October wedding back in May, met up with them to see the house and discuss details and had it booked promptly. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped for a home-cooked rehearsal dinner, serving appetizers at reception, and a late night dinner. We had 75 guests roaming the property and all fit nicely in the living area to view the ceremony upstairs. We didn't need to bring many decorations because the home is beautiful on its own and TJ/Jill have great taste. TJ was attentive and answered all my questions on what was available at the house, he also showed up morning before the wedding to assist in arranging seating for ceremony. Besides the excellent hosts and home the property and scenery is lovely and we were lucky to have amazing sunny mild weather! We definitely want to come back and highly recommend any kind of event/gathering at Skye Farm!

    Brooke2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • TJ's place is AWESOME! We had a group of 24 staying there, and with a fair number on the floor, it worked out great. So spacious and comfortable, and a fantastic place to stay. TJ was a great host- let us stay later sunday so we could shower and clean up, and gave us some great tips on a swimming hole & rope swing. Would definitely come back!

    Kathleen2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Skye Farm and Guesthouse far surpassed our expectations!! The house was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. TJ and Jill were an absolute pleasure to deal with; they answered all of our questions in a timely manner before we arrived and encouraged us to contact them if we had any problems during our stay (which we didn't). We had a small wedding at the house and it was incredible! All of our guests commented on how unique and beautiful the house was. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing getaway; you won't be disappointed!!

Executive lodge style home on 20 private acres. Plenty of room for private events including weddings or retreats. Treat yourself and guests to a relaxing, quiet and peaceful getaway deep in the green foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range.
    Secluded, peaceful, mountain setting.

  • This house was gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. Very large, more than enough space for group stays, and the living room area was great for the group of us to lounge around drinking coffee in the morning. Rob and Nancy were such great hosts. I have to put in a public thanks for how flexible they were with us about checking in, and great communication throughout. The house is VERY secluded. The only other building at all nearby is Skye Farm, which if you know someone getting married, the combination of that venue (which is also lovely!!!) with this house was perfect - Rob and Nancy work great with the owners of that venue. (We were the wedding party, and staying so close by was awesome.) Bonus, we also got to meet their very sweet dog who was a hit with everyone. If we plan more group vacations I would love to stay here again.

    Kate2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • I rented this home with 10 other people in the summer time. It is beautiful and spacious. Robb and his wife Nancy were friendly and welcoming. They met me with written instructions and walked through the house with me room by room to discuss kitchen items, electronics, safety features, blanket storage, etc.

    Renae2015-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our families stayed in Rob and Nancy's incredible home during our wedding weekend. The proximity to the wedding venue was absolutely perfect and it was really nice to have them so close in order to help and experience the whole weekend with us! They felt right at home - the house is absolutely beautiful, clean and very accommodating. It was spacious enough for two families to stay with enough room. The whole wedding weekend was perfect and that was in part due to our family staying at this home! We would recommend to anyone and hope to stay here with our family in the future! Thank you so much Rob and Nancy!!

    Tiffany2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Picturesque, secluded, excellently appointed LARGE home. Incredibly accomadating and involved hosts.

    Emily2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Rob and Nancy did an excellent job of making my group of 9 feel welcome in their home. I received a phone call the week before our stay to answer any questions I might have had and Nancy took the time to explain the accommodations. While they personally weren't able to greet us, Nancy made sure Chantelle was there to walk us through the house and show us where extras were (toilet paper, towels, etc.). The house is absolutely stunning! Large bedrooms, great entertaining space indoors and out, gorgeous kitchen and dining areas, you name it! I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

My place is close to great views, hiking, wineries, blueberry farms, and great brewpubs. You’ll love my place because of the unique geodesic dome architecture, well-lit great room with skylights and view of Silver Star Peak. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). No availability yet. This is our primary home and we are working on getting her up and running for guests. We are hoping for a November launch date. Stay tuned!
Have you ever stayed in a dome? High ceilings, skylights, and open floor plan might make you a believer.
Off the beaten path, our Bells Mountain neighborhood is secluded with access to great hiking, biking, and swimming. You will sleep soundly in this quiet neighborhood. Your closest neighbors are about 2 football fields away!

  • Matt's place is quiet and secluded, clean and comfortable. If you're looking to spend some time "unplugged", I definitely recommend. Make sure you plan what you need prior to arrival, as getting in and out can be somewhat of a chore. Pretty solid entertainment system may be available, but it is difficult to set up due to lack of cables, batteries, and instructions on what goes with what.

  • This is a beautiful and fairly secluded property. My friends arrived fairly late at night, and had to leave early the next morning; however, there was a striking quiet when we walked out on the deck to get some fresh air in the morning. Incredibly peaceful, and I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a pleasant stay, off the beaten path.

  • I do a lot of traveling and have stayed in many AirBnBs and this by far was the best. When my wife and I arrived we were greeted and welcomed as if we were family. We were given a tour and then presented with a welcome basket filled with the makings for Smores. The property is breath taking. Plenty of space to take in the surroundings and the view of the skyline and the sky at night is to die for. The room we stayed in was cosy and the bed was big enough for my wife and I to sleep comfortably. We had access to the BBQ and fire pit. The host even made sure to give us room in a fridge/freezer. Over all, the view and hospitality made the couple of days we stayed great. I would highly recommend this AirBnB and if given the chance I would stay again and again.

  • Annalise and her family were by far the most accommodating hosts we've ever experienced. In addition to having a beautiful home, Annalise and her family went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We were able to get away from the city life and relax during our stay. If we could give more than five stars we would!

  • Karen's place was a beautiful room in an upscale estate in brush prairie. Her gardens and patio were beautiful and she had provided us with shampoos, towels, dental kits, soaps, tea, coffee, marshmallows to try in her fire pit and she even cut us some fruits for breakfast. It's a summer time must try for a quiet retreat

  • We enjoyed our stay very much. When we got in, they welcomed us as soon as we closed our car door. They walked us through everything, and even made us sweet tea, being it's hard to find it on that side of the coast. :) They left us a delicious breakfast, and the view from the deck is great. We hope to stay there again our next trip to the West Coast. Thanks for everything!

    Rusty2017-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful family and beautiful home located about 30 minutes away from Portland, OR, allowing for a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. My son, sister, and I stayed for three days. Upon arrival, we were initially confused as the home is actually the residence of Annalise's parents. However, we couldn't have been more pleased with the company of our host and her family. Our host was welcoming and pleasantly accommodating. To save me the trip down the hill to go to the grocery store, our host offered to make some pizza for the kids and set them up at the table, complete with beverages and cookies. Our host also accommodated sleeping arrangements buy putting another mattress in our room so that I was not required to sleep with my sister and my toddler on the available bed as I had anticipated doing. For this, we were all able to sleep comfortably. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast bar complete with coffee, fruit, and snacks. I just wish we would have made time to roast Smores with the Smore supplies provided to us. While it was unfortunate that the hot tub was not operable during our stay, I very much enjoyed lounging on their deck overlooking the hill and enjoying some quiet time with a book or my laptop, or watching my son run around their beautiful backyard and play on the play equipment not to far from the deck. It was also rather unfortunate that I was unable to connect to the Wifi and there was not a TV available other than the main TV in the living room. However, we enjoyed hanging out in the living room with the family while watching the Mayweather fight. Probably the highlight of our stay was how interactive they were with my son. My son grew rather fond of the family and enjoyed spending time with them, including playing with toys that our host brought down for him and playing games with their youngest daughter. Interactions with the family seemed sincere and natural, rather than superficial and forced, which is something I greatly appreciate. All-in-all, we were all very comfortable, enjoyed our stay, and will being booking subsequent stays with them in the near future.

  • David was highly communicative and very accommodating of my funky work schedule during my stay. David's house is modern, clean, and tucked away in a beautiful forested corner of Vancouver. The house has a phenomenal deck overlooking some beautiful Pacific NW forest. David provided every amenity I could think of, as well a greatly appreciated light breakfast. Thanks David!

We love the quiet of being out in the country; sitting by the creek, gardening, walking in the woods. Close to Lacamas Lake; 25 minutes to PDX, 15 minutes to VanMall, shopping, movies, etc.. Electric Vehicle Friendly - 2 charges: Level 2 EVSE and Tesla 2x Wall Charger. Spacious room with queen bed and plenty of room for twin airbed for 3rd person. We can accommodate a party of 6 in 2 rooms (rm1 & rm3. To see availability , search on "Northeast 248th Avenue, Vancouver, WA" )
Spacious home with large bedrooms, with big windows, lots of light, and beautiful wooded views from every side. Lounge on a covered deck to enjoy humming birds, flowers and wildlife, or take a walk by the creek. Room1 has a queen bed and is spacious enough to accommodate 3 people by adding a twin bed on the floor for children or young adults. So if you have a party of 3, one room is enough. For a party of 4-6 you would need 2 or 3 rooms. How to book for parties of 4-6 people: You will need to submit a "Request to Book" (or inquiry) for two or three bedrooms, for a group of 4 to 6 (rooms are listed separately per airbnb's rules). Just found out the easy way to see all our listings - select our profile picture, then select "View full profile." To see if the other room is available, select the "More Filters" button and change bathrooms to 4. You will then see all of our "Country Home" listings that are available for your dates. There are plenty of bathrooms for our guests: 1 full bath upstairs with 2 sinks, and a full bath and a half bath downstairs.
A wooded retreat (quiet and peaceful), but only 8 minutes to closest grocery store, and restaurants, 15 minutes from Vancouver Mall, and 30 minutes from downtown Portland.
  • Kristine did a wonderful job of making us feel welcome, accommodated our late arrival, and was very helpful and friendly. The room was as advertised, and very comfortable. Our daughter was with us and the extra mattress fit easily in the room and was also comfortable. The home is large, with a pastoral setting, and a creek running behind it. The shared bath was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our short stay very much. Thank you Kristine for your hospitality!

Communication was great and they were always ready to help at a moments notice if needed. Very nice house with lots of room. Loved the Jacuzzi (especially after our race). Simple decor, fireplace with private bath, private entrance. Kitchen access, parking. Country home in peaceful setting. If you want to be in a quieter area, this is a very suitable place for you. If you are happy with a simple setting and room, you will most likely be comfortable here. Clean and open space.
The bed is a queen size futon, firm, and acceptably comfortable. There are animals on the property, so coming and going, close the gate behind you please. It is a farm.
Residential & farm area. This is not in the city - there are animals and animal smells.

  • My friend and I had a lovely time staying in Vicki's home. Vicki is very communicative and hospitable and made the room a very cozy space. The room is quite large and has a big comfy bed. The full bathroom is attached to the room and was very clean and had a nice supply of towels. We only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed longer! We would recommend staying with Vicki for anyone! P.S. The two friendly dogs at the house are a wonderful bonus!

If you love the country and quiet area this is the right place to stay. You will be in a 2-3 bedroom,2acreage space.. 7min from shopping, church and restaurants. This cottage home is at the dead end, great view from the bedroom window looking at 2acreas of green fields.
  • It's a pleasant place, as advertised. The WiFi worked well. Was nice having coffee outside on the deck in the morning. It's not secluded, but just enough off the beaten path to make cell service iffy. The biggest drawback was the house got stuffy and very warm. We just happened to stay when temperatures were in the high 90's and it didn't cool down much outside. That's an aberration, though. I'd have no problem staying again if it isn't blazing hot outside. About 30 minutes to Portland

Our home is just 25 minutes from PDX & 20 minutes to most places in Vancouver, WA. You will enjoy a private living space, bathroom & bedroom. Our beautiful hideaway in the woods is close to several wineries & just four miles from Battle Ground, WA. It's a perfect place for traveling nurses or other business travelers to relax after a long day at work. Don't forget to check out our weekly and monthly discounts.
This is a daylight basement that will pretty much be yours to enjoy. We will only head down the stairs to grab a bag of pellets every day or so during the winter. Enjoy a nice covered patio area - with our mild winters in SW Washington, it's a great place to BBQ year round
We are at the end of a 1/2 mile private (paved) road. You will pass nice homes on 2.5 acres as you drive to your destination. We live upstairs and built our home back in 1998.
  • We enjoyed our stay so much. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen well equipped and sitting outside next to a forest was so enjoyable. Andrea went out of her way to accommodate us in any way she could and we enjoyed our conversations with our hosts immensely. She was very helpful pointing out restraunts and activities near by which made our over two week stay fly by. We will definitely give this a five star recommendation.

  • Andrea was an attentive host. The place was well maintained and setup with everything we needed to spend the week. Internet speeds are fast enough for casual browsing but you may have difficulty with streaming video at times. That said, I'd gladly stay again if I came back to the area.

A great home for families/friends who want to visit and see what Washington/Oregon has to offer. Close to Lacamas Lake little as 7 minutes (3.3 miles) away. Also 8 little minutes away from Camas Heritage Trail. Cant forget Portland and Vancouver.
This charming 3 bedroom, 1 bath home with a queen sofa bed offers 1094 sq.ft. of living space and is located on a large lot down a private drive. The character of this single level home shows with its original hardwood floors, cozy fire place and a dining area that opens to the kitchen and family room. It offers a covered back patio, a fully fenced yard, and room out back. Plus you'll like this one: With top speed (over 200 Mbps) wireless connectivity you don't need to worry about buffering.
  • First, I want to mention that Diego is a wonderful host. Quick to respond, very nice, and is always available to answer any questions that you may have. Diego's place is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to get away from the big city life craziness, but still have the perks of a big city (Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR) not too far away. What I loved the most about this place is how peaceful it is. The large, private backyard is fenced, but also surrounded by evergreens and lots of plant growth. There's a covered patio with string of lights. Nice to grab a cup of coffee and sit outside early morning and enjoy the natural area surroundings. Very relaxing. The house is big enough for a family to spend time together, yet have their own space too. It's on a private road and near Lacamas lake and park. Camas is a beautiful city. I'd definitely return. Thanks again, Diego!

  • We loved our stay here. Communication was easy, as was check-in (keypad entry). 3 rooms with 3 beds so we could spread out easily. Everything was brand new - comforters and blankets, small kitchen appliances, dish ware, etc. No TV, but wasn't really a problem for us. There were even fresh eggs in the fridge waiting for us. We'd stay here again for sure.

    Evan2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Diegos place is really comfortable, clean and the surrounding area is great. It takes only half an hour to get to Portland city and the nature in Camas is beautiful. Check out for example Dougan Falls, amazing. We could cook our own dinners, wash clothes and the Wifi was really fast. the communication with Diego was really uncomplicated and friendly. He responded quickly. We would definetely recommend staying there!

  • Great location for our soccer tournament. Less than 15 mins to all the fields. Simple but comfortable accommodations. There is a dog kennel nearby that was noisy but mostly just noticeable when outside. If we shut the windows it wasn't a big deal. We were grateful for a clean and safe place to stay for a moms and daughters soccer weekend. It was great for that!

A safe, cozy, private room is nestled quietly on 3 acres, in a quaint brick home north east of Vancouver. My home offers a laid- back escape with easy access to wineries ( 9 minutes away), state parks and popular rivers. Lots of space for parking.
Welcome to my home! This private room is located in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom ranch style brick home with lots of parking (boats, snowmobiles, ATV's. You will enjoy your sleep in a queen bed...and maybe get listen to the frogs outside in the little pond. Sip on coffee or various teas along with a homemade "goodie" that are neatly placed in your room. I provide in your room a large microwave, frig, napkins ,plates, plastic ware, cups, ice, bottled water, blow dryer, towels, extra blankets and more. Your private guest bathroom is right across the hall (2 steps) outside your door with shower and tub. Various toiletries and professional styling products are for use on counter and in shower. (URL HIDDEN)Feel free to roam the property...enjoy the trees , the trickling sound of the small creek.... or even pick some weeds (grin) ! When in season you can sample the fruits and vegetables on the property...maybe even get a sample tasting of fresh honey. You can also relax on the deck with a glass of wine.... ( or ask to sample my home made wine...yum yum).... watch the humming birds ,deer, and squirrels. I also have a hair salon on site. If your getting shaggy on your trip I will be happy to clean you up. There are 14 plus wineries in the area. Most do charge a tasting fee. Some serve food and have music also. Gas and food is 2 minutes away at bottom of the hill. Also a massage therapist there to if your needing a little pampering. Portland airport is 25 minutes away. Vancouver mall is 16 minutes away and various shopping centers and restaurants are a 10 minute drive. If you are doing the Clark County Wine Loop...here for business or recreation this is a good central location.
The neighborhood is out in the country. Every one has some sort of acreage. It is quiet, clean, friendly and a well kept Neighborhood. Neighbors keep and eye on each other to keep the area free of riff-raff. There are no side walks and very few street lights. No buses or trains. You need an car to get here.

  • Sally such a wonderful hostess and a great clean countryside home made of impressive brick work. It was definitely a treat to be at her abode for my very first airbnb experience. I recommend you to stay at her home and get a wonderful sense of the Washington country side in which she lives. Thank you Sally!!

  • My husband and I really had a relaxing time at The Charming Brick Home in Hockinson. We were met graciously upon arrival both outside by Sally and inside where we were greeted with a lovely plate of baked treats and some yummy fresh blackberries. Sally is always busy but when it was appropriate she would take the time to talk or to share her baked treats and freshly made pickles. She brought me some of the yummiest gluten free treats I've ever eaten. I want the recipe. She even makes beautiful bottles of wine. The room was very comfortable with a mini fridge and a large microwave. the bathroom was spacious and the acreage outside was beautiful and so very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay so much we stayed an extra night!

  • This was our first airbnb experience and it was wonderful. Sally welcomed us at the door when we drove up and made us feel right at home. Her property is beautiful! We enjoyed a walk around her home, garden and neighborhood. It is quiet and peaceful. Every detail was available for the guest--microwave and small refrigerator in room, private bathroom, even a small plate of sweetbread and fruit. The bed was comfy too. Loved the whimsical frogs on the front porch and the real one near the small pond! Nice place to overnight on the way to points north.

    Debbie2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sally was a terrific host from the start. She made me feel at home and the light evening snack left on the bed in my room was great. I would recommend anyone staying in the area to stay with Sally in her nice lovely home in the country.

  • Aggie's home is a beautiful, quiet retreat. The view of Mt. Hood from her kitchen is truly amazing and the airport in her backyard offers such a unique experience. Aggie is also such a kind, sweet host. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. I would definitely recommend staying with her if you're looking for a place to relax, rest and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

  • What a wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfortable and inviting. Aggie is a great host who has many suggestions for things to do and see in the area. She is responsive to the needs of her guests. Her charming home is in a quiet neighborhood next to a private airport. Shops and restaurants are within minutes. A great lake is nearby for picnics, swims and walks. SUP's and kayaks are for rent. Lots of scenic drives in the area and plenty to do in nearby Portland. Staying with Aggie was like visiting friends or family. She included me in morning walks (I am a big walker) with her neighbor and we picked berries for our morning oatmeal. She was generous in sharing her kitchen and I made myself right at home! I wish Aggie continued success with her "aerobnb". A five star stay in a relaxed quiet setting. Highly recommended.

  • This was my first airbnb experience, and I feel like staying with Aggie spoiled me. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe there. Her home was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. She did a wonderful job of being available for questions/conversations without hovering. Since I expressed interest in her beautiful yard, she took me on an interesting walk to explore various plants. I even got to pick fresh blackberries. I can't imagine a better place to stay.

    Michael2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • House is beautiful, communication with Dana was prompt and good... We were really bummed that the hottub wasn't working, but other than that it was a good experience!

    Cassie2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house and amenities were great for our family that included small children. An issue of the house not being ready when we arrived was quickly resolved by Julie who was eager to rectify the situation. Her quick response and ability to take care of the problem quickly turned a potential damper on our trip around. Julie was always so quick to respond before and during our stay. Thanks for a delightful time in this lovely home!

    Donna2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • A group of 9 of us stayed in Julie's home while we were in town for a wedding, and we really enjoyed the home. We made use of everything the home had to offer: the huge kitchen, the playground, tetherball (so fun!), the fire ring, the jet tub, the keyboard, the board games, and especially those shockingly comfortable recliner sofas. The home was extremely clean and well-stocked, and check-in was easy peasy. Co-host Dana was easy to reach and courteous when we had questions. We had a very relaxing stay in this country home and would highly recommend it to other guests.

  • This is a beautiful country home set on acreage in the Hockinson/Brush Prairie hills. Perfect place for a large family gathering. The bathrooms were well stocked and there is a large laundry room if needed. The kitchen was amazing and there is a grill on the large deck outside to use as well. The bedrooms all had clean sheets and extra blankets/pillows if needed. The kids really enjoyed the outside playhouse/swing set and there was enough room in the yard for some fun games of wiffle ball. There is also a basketball hoop in the driveway. There is a small market just down the street and larger grocery stores about 10 minutes away. We were able to drive to Vancouver within 15-20 minutes and Portland in about 30 minutes. The home was very clean and comfortable! We hope to stay in this home again in the future!

  • What a beautiful house! It sits on a large piece of land and is very private. Its very spacious and comfortable. We loved sitting in the hot tub at night after a long day and looking up at the stars. This was a wonderful stay!!

This is a private one bedroom apartment located on 4 acres with a kitchen equipped adequately to prepare basic meals ( full size range and refrigerator!), bath and WIFI. We recently added 18,000 BTU Air Conditioning, and Smart TV with cable! We're 10 min. from shopping, great restaurants and brew pubs with several wineries and some golf courses nearby. We are 35 min to Portland International Airport, 5 min. to Battle Ground Lake.
While our Bungalow is quite adequate in size for one to two people, it is not meant to accommodate more. There will be a $15 charge per person per night for any additional persons upon our approval prior to your arrival.
We are located on 4 acres in a rural setting with a gorgeous view of the valley and distant mountain range.
  • Bel endroit, privé. Belles attentions, du café, pain aux bananes, muffins...merci!

  • Steve was there to welcome us and show us through the place. He apologized that the a/c unit he was hoping to have installed was backordered but we never really needed it. Even though the temps hit the 80's, the unit was always comfortable with the ceiling fans. We loved the privacy. Since we were visiting friends in Battle Ground, it could not have been more convenient. It is 10 minutes to downtown Battle Ground with its antique and collectible shops. Portland is 40 minutes and Mt. St. Helens is about an hour. We really got to see some beautiful countryside. Our GPS took us through the back roads many times. This is a great place to get away from it all.

    Harvey2016-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's little apartment was the perfect place for us. It is a private little bungalow not attached to any other living space so we didn't have to worry about our little guys noise level. He touched base with us before arrival to see if there was anything we needed, met us when we got there and gave us a quick tour and left some treats in the fridge to get us through until we could get to the store.

  • Steve and Bertie met us upon arrival and were very welcoming! This place is perfect for getting away from city lights yet remaining a drive away from services (groceries, gas, wineries!). This bungalow is great, clean and quite roomy. Kitchen has the essentials needed to prep/cook meals. And the smart TV was great--it let us Netflix via our account. The bungalow shares a wall with a workshop but we couldn't hear anything and had all the privacy we wanted as the hosts live in the main house. The property is very scenic, would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

  • Rural setting that was perfect for my long term stay for employment. Hosts were delightful and very helpful!! They replaced my refrigerator within 24 hours of it breaking down, and paid for my food loss! Any questions regarding the area, places to go, etc., were clearly answered. They even purchased extended cable TV, without my asking, to make my stay more comfortable. I highly recommend this place, especially for a long term visit/employment. Very comfortable for a single person, or perhaps a couple.

    Cindy2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding view and a comfortable and private setting, perfect as a base to explore farm country, go hiking, regroup and "un-plug", or drive to the Columbia Gorge area, or just minutes to Battle Ground Lake. Authentic log bungalow is incredibly quiet and peaceful with thoughtful details: plush towels, comfortable couch and bed, croissants and butter in fridge, real clothes hangers. Steve and Bertie are really friendly and helpful. They are there is you need them, but bungalow felt very private.

  • We were blown away by the accommodations at the Brush Prairie country home. It was like staying in a mansion, which was a novelty that no one in our group had ever experienced. Our host, Dana, used to design custom houses as a career. This aptitude really shines through in the condition of the property. Clearly a lot of careful consideration and attention to detail went into the design of this magnificent home. Everything is neatly arranged, stocked, and well cared for. The location, while a little out of the way, is incredibly scenic and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the hawks circle over the meadows during my morning run. There is a small stream nearby with the soothing sound of running water that provides a soundtrack for relaxation. Even though I live in Portland, staying at this spot just a few miles from town made me feel like I was on a luxurious vacation. Thanks, Dana!

  • Dana's home was exactly as described. Very clean, spacious, private and great facilities with immaculate hot tub, pool, steam shower, massive kitchen, work out room and BBQ grill. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Shawn2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great home if you are looking for country peace and quiet, it is perfect for children to play in the yard, and so much space for everyone. Great kitchen for cooking with a lot of people. The beds are a little soft, but I like a harder bed, so it is a personal preference. Dana is excellent at communicating with, we had an issue with the coffee pot and she fixed it right away. I would definitely stay here again.

    Tami 2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed at Dana's place with my family for my son's Regatta on Vancouver Lake. It wasn't too far away and the drive was worth it. We were catering the weekend for his crew and families and the kitchen was a dream with everything you could imagine and then some. Hot tub was clean and we enjoyed a soak under clear sky with stars as far as you could see. Quiet neighborhood with lots of space. It was everything we expected plus Dana was great to work with - very responsive, accommodating and friendly. We'd go back for sure!

Added benefits to our property is the proximity to the river. Enjoy kayaking, tubing, fishing and hiking adventures. If the river water isn't tempting you, jump in the pool and relax, float and sip on your drinks. (pool open May to October). Paradise is waiting!
  • This was one of the most beautiful and comfortable properties I've had the pleasure of staying at. We were celebrating my friend's Bachelorette Party and found Lisa and Helios' home to be the perfect accommodation for us. From the unbeatable riverside location, immaculately landscaped property to the thoughtful amenities and stylish interior, this rental exceeded out expectations. The photos don't even do it justice! The home is spacious and stylish, with an open layout and plentiful seating that makes it perfect for socializing in a big group. We comfortably fit 7 ladies by making beds on couches and air mattresses and the main beds were SUPER comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped to cook all our meal, including a grill outside and lovely outdoor table on the deck for dining al fresco. The pool was a great size for keeping cool and we loved lounging on the deck surrounded by the lovely gardens. The hot tub was down for repairs for our stay but there were so many other lovely spaces (including a jacuzzi tub in the master bath!) that it was not an issue at all. We enjoyed a fire one night outside underneath the starts and spent an afternoon wading around an lounging on rocks in the river, just steps from the back door. Lisa's communication was excellent and we easily resolved any small issues, such as an extra guest and an item left behind. She was responsive, clear, and friendly. The hosts were on the property during our stay, in the apartment above the garage. The only time we saw them was upon arrival to make sure we settled in OK and then once when I went to take out the trash up the driveway. Other than that, we felt as if it was just us. I would highly recommend this rental. It's ideal for a small group of mature adults looking for the ultimate in luxury and relaxation.

  • Great location on the Lewis river! Windows in every room. Beautiful deck. We spent most of our time in the pool and outside. Comfortable beds and couches! So many wonderful places to sit and enjoy the view.

  • A great home in a beautiful setting. Very spacious with a lot of amenities. The pool area is right off of the deck, which has a grill. Having the bedroom door open at night, to hear the river, was my favorite part.

    Mike2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The home is exquisite and it's location on the river provides such a serene place that we didn't want to leave. There is an excellent sound system throughout, guest Netflix access on large screen TV, and pool is the perfect place to beat the summer heat . The large deck overlooking the Lewis River provides an amazing view and peaceful environment. The host went above and beyond even providing us a local route to the home. This home is extremely well stocked-nothing lacking. We've stayed at many airbnb and this home surpassed all our expectations. Thank you for opening and sharing your amazing home. The Clark Family

    Laurie2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 8 days at this lovely retreat. The home is clean, welcoming, and the layout is nicely sprawled out. The artwork is unique and inviting. The yard is beautiful with lots of places to sit and have coffee, lunch, dinner or a picnic and enjoy the view. The only negative was the stairs down to the house, which is expected with a hillside home. The stairs are well maintained and not steep but we have a baby which means making lots of trips to and from the car. If it was just adults it wouldn't have been an issue, but we got a wkekout! I was originally concerned that the owners were going to be on the property during our stay just because it's weird to live in someone's house while they can see, but Lisa and Helios were very kind and also respectful of our privacy. It was actually nice to have them close by and it wasn't weird or awkward in any way.

  • Brian and Kristine were terrific hosts. The room is very big and spacious and Brian and Kristine made sure we had a great stay, they were very generous and talked to us a lot about the area and our trip. We would definitely stay with them again in the future.

  • Brian and Kristine are very nice a gracious hosts. They were very flexible on the very last minute reservation on the holiday weekend as well as flexible on the check in time. The bed was comfortable and the room (room #3 was very spacious). The electronic passcode to the front door makes it very convenient from comings and goings. Kristine even handpicked some blueberries for me and left them with a nice handwritten note. It's a bit in the rural part of Vancouver so a little off the beaten path and cell reception was a tad spotty (only reason for 4 stars other than 5, but that still wasn't too much of an issue) I would stay again. Thanks Brian and Kristine!

    phillip2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter & her colleagues actually stayed with Kristine & Brian in Room 3 of their home. From what the girls described to me, Kristine & Brian's home was extremely large, clean & beautiful. They emphasized how grand the room looked because of the high ceilings & skylights that allowed in such pleasing, natural lighting in the mornings. Kristine & Brian had set up 4 comfortable twin beds along with towels for showering in the very spacious room. The bathroom was also conveniently right outside Room 3. The home is placed in a charming secluded area (not far from Portland) that was perfect for getting away from the city after a long day of exploring. Aside from the beautiful home, the girls said that what made the home ultimately wonderful was the people who occupy it. The hosts Kristine & Brian were nothing but generous & willing to do anything to make the trip easiest for the girls. In fact, my daughter & her friends had arrived very late (4 am, to be exact) & Kristine made it a point to wake up at that hour to welcome them into the home, a gesture that is not expected, but greatly appreciated! The girls' trip was short-lived, for they had to return to their studies, but they definitely wish to stay with Kristine & Brian again in the future (& for a longer period of time). They highly recommend this home for anyone who wishes to have a great experience with their stay near the Portland/Vancouver area!

Beautiful contemporary solar powered home near the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. It is nearly a doorstep away with views of Mt Hood. Lacamas and Round Lake are only 5 mins. away. Water rentals available. Gorgeous, scenic views driving East on Washington's Highway 14. Short drive to destination hikes such as: Beacon Rock, Hamilton Mountain, and the Pacific Coast Trail. Steigerwald Wildlife Refuge is a great attraction too!
    Private property.
I have lived in this neighborhood since 1999 and love all my neighbors in this small, unique neighborhood!
  • Aggie's is a great place to stay! She was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. The house is quiet but still close to town.

  • Aggie was a great host and she was very caring and hospitable. The place itself was large and clean, with a comfortable bed, and it has a nice view of the hangar. It is conveniently close to portland but it doesn't have hassles and stresses of living in portland. However one must be very careful when driving back due to the lack of street light in the neighborhood making it very dark. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I would definitely come back when I'm visiting the portland area.

They have created such a beautiful, serene environment to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. The rooms were beautiful, the bed was SO comfortable that I didn't want to get up until I smelled that incredible breakfast! Top notch place that I highly recommend! Thanks for everything!

  • Such a lovely respite! We met Mark and Bettina years ago as the proprietors of a lovely cafe and bakery in San Jose. We brought so many friends there and loved Chef Bettina's croque monsieur! When we found they'd moved to the Pacific Northwest and opened a B&B, it was the perfect location to celebrate our 10th anniversary! Beak and Bloom was everything we'd hoped for! Such a lovely get away on a beautiful and secluded property. We were greeted by Coco, the sweetest dog ever (she's super small and actually fell asleep in my arms after breakfast!). We stayed in the rose room and found it to be comfy, clean, and cozy. The living room space and kitchen are beautifully decorated and we met some nice people who were staying in one of the other rooms. We stayed 2 nights and breakfast didn't disappoint... quiche the first day and almond crêpes the second! Mark provides day passes to state parks, so don't miss out! We spent an amazing day taking in the sights! Such a sweet couple of people who are living out a dream and sharing it with the rest of us!
