“The base of the hike is about 1.25 miles from the tower. The hike is a bit strenuous for the first half mile, but then levels off with beautiful views from the top of Talcott Mountain. There is a museum at the tower. Unfortunately, there is no car access all the way to the tower, so you do have to hike it, but the views at the top are certainly worth it.”

“20 MINUTES Flower Bridge: The graceful arc of this bridge is festooned with flowers and lights, maintained by the volunteers of the Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge. This bridge is on a popular bike route and crosses over the scenic Farmington River. Heublein Tower can be seen in the background. It’s a definite “photo op” for any visitor! The address is 1 Old Bridge Rd and it can be accessed the bridge from Riverside Rd or Drake Hill Rd. The Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge is a must see.”
