“The majestic cascade of white water, gushing over the steep, nearly vertical face of the mountain from a spectacular height of 1017ft; is both breath taking and awe inspiring, making one aware that there are many forces in nature much more powerful that the human mind and body. The name ‘Dudhsagar’ literally translates to ‘sea of milk’ which many believe is an allusion to the white spray and foam that the great waterfall creates as it cascades into the waters of the lake. The falls are at their zenith during the monsoon season, although they are a popular attraction all year round.”

Lined with palm trees and colorful wooden shacks, the beach faces Canacona Island, known for its resident monkeys. To the south, turtles nest at Galgibaga Beach. It's the perfect place during the day to sit back and enjoy a cold beer and/or a nice glass of wine whilst gazing at the open sea (there's a good chance of spotting a dolphin too) The xecxec crab, beef-chilly & prawn stuffed papad are highlights on the menu. Be sure to call ahead and reserve, they are usually very busy! ”

“Since ancient times India is known as a country of fabulous aromas and flavors that are sometimes worth more than gold. Spices are actually the cause and the stimulus of the historical development of mankind, colonial conquest and geographical discoveries. Today India is the world leader in the production and export of the spices. The country is growing more than 50 different kinds of spices. India accounts for about half of the world trade of spices, it supplies with it to more than 150 countries, although most part of the roduction is being sold on the domestic market. In Goa there are some major spice plantations, where visitors can see how spice plants look in their natural environment, and how they are grown and processed. For tourists they organize special informative and entertaining tours in such places as Savoi Spice Plantation, Sahakari Spice Farms, Tropical Spice Plantation, that are engaged in organic farming.”
