“Fantastic fortress standing at the enterance of Saint Peter Port harbour. Visit for the noon day gun firing or organise a guided walk in the evening.”

Museum
“Must visit. To me it is the third place in Europe after Salvador Dali's museum in Figueres and Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Mind-blowing! Tour guides are gods there, never mind the French accent. If you speak French, just take the native guide. Did you know it is officially Paris inside this house?”

“One of many excellent restaurants in Guernsey. If you like French food you'll love this place. Steak and chips for lunch at £11 sells itself. Closed Monday.”

Cafe
“Voted second best in the UK by the Telegraph hence not your typical beach cafe. Ideal for a cliff walk followed by a fantastic lunch and a swim during summer months. One of life's truely great experiences if combined with a swim.”

Boutique de souvenirs
“A great cocktail bar with good music. Admittedly, it is pretty small (but with great views across to the islands of Herm & Sark), but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with a vibrant, fun atmosphere. If you are feeling peckish - their adjoining restaurant is also really good.”

Bar
“Very expensive steakhouse but top quality. Cocktail bar upstairs is popular and very crowded from 10:30pm until late. They have now also opened separate Pizza and Tapas bar/ restaurants within the same building which are both very popular.”

Lodging
“Iconic Guernsey posh dinning within a 5* hotel. Expensive. Possibly better elsewhere from some of the up and coming chefs but it is grand they have an amazing view over St Peter Port and have perfected much which is difficult to perfect.”
