  • Awesome place for peace and quiet and relaxing with family! We loved just hanging in the yard, having a camp fire, and looking at the stars. Lots of great places in the surrounding area to visit! We were sad to leave. This is a hidden gem and we will be back

  • Totally as advertised! It was a great retreat for us!

  • It was the great experience! We is usually are bored staying in hotels so we watch some movies at night, but in Tyler's apartment we were just exploring the cabin! The sound system is amazing, everything was neat and cute. A really nice yard with candles at night! A romantic and quiet place to stay! Thanks Tyler!

  • Totally adorable lil cabin in the woods. Clean, neat and well appointed. Quiet and cozy indeed. Would stay there again definitely, and recommend it highly! Thankyou Tyler!!

  • We had a lovely stay at the cabin. What looks like a nondescript exterior quickly changes once walking inside. There is so much attention to detail and design.... the exposed wood, simple yet beautiful layout, walls lined with instruments, a kitchen with all the pans, pots and utensils you would possibly need, honeycomb tiled floor bathroom and a comfortable/relaxing/well lit bedroom. Both the living room area and bedroom have shelves full of wonderful and thought provoking reads.... Calvino, J Campbell, Kerouac... and many more. Only complaint was having to leave. Great experience.

    David2014-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was super easy and smooth. Tyler was responsive and the place was in lovely condition.

    Rebecca2014-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • I must admit when I arrived to the cabin I was super nervous, it was so dark! Once I opened the door I was amazed, what an adorable space! It was super cozy and I wish I had booked a longer stay. The backyard was so great I mostly sat out there reading my magazine and drinking coffee. The fire pit was lovely and everything was in reach, there were games to play and amazing books to read, I definitely am planning a trip back soon with this place in mind.

  • We had a wonderful time at The Garret! Sterrett was very nice and helpful, and the room was stunning; warm, cozy, gorgeous mountain view, with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We will definitely return in the summer!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed in the Garret. It was well lit, remarkably quiet, tranquil; in other words, perfect for our purpose of getting away from the city. Sterrett and her husband keep a beautiful home, with fun little works of art hidden all over. They were very nice and helpful: all around amiable hosts. We had all the amenities we needed (fortunately they provided towels since we forgot ours!) and there were many thoughtful details such as a hamper in the restroom, well-placed lights with unique light switches, an unused sponge, environmentally friendly soap (it smelled amazing, by the way!), just to name a few. No TV, which was actually a great thing, as it lent to the overall soothing atmosphere in the room, and prevented us from getting distracted from the landscape around us. We genuinely appreciated every aspect of the space and especially loved how available Sterrett made herself to make sure we were comfortable and happy. And we were, very. Thank you so much for letting us stay! Although we were there in the barren time between winter and true spring, your edible landscape looked well-kept, and I'm sure it'll be much more splendid to behold once everything is in bloom and verdant once more. My boyfriend and I both agreed on how wonderful our experience was. We hope we may cross paths again soon, if we make our way up north again!

  • We went up to High Falls for 2 nights on the weekend. The location was lovely and the Garret was perfect for a weekend getaway. It was a very comfortable, big room with a small kitchen that had everything you would need to cook a meal. There was a small stove, pots, pans, utensils, plates. The propert was beautiful and a short drive to some great trails on the Mohonk Preserve. Sterrett was a wonderful host! We came in 2 hours late because of weather and traffic and she was extremely accomodating and met us as soon as we arrived. She was availabel by phone and text the whole time we were there with suggestions for hiking trails and restaurants. Highly recommend visiting for a weekend out of the city!!

  • We had a terrific weekend at The Garret. Beautiful place to stay and just a few minutes from hiking trails. Highly recommended.

  • I needed a place to stay for a business trip to New Paltz and found the hotel offerings to be lacking and most of the Bed and Breakfasts to more than I needed. Took a chance on airbnb and found the perfect accommodations at the Garret. It's just as everyone described: close to everything, tastefully decorated, quiet, clean (the bed was soooo comfortable), with all the amenities, as well as breathtaking views of the Gunks. I kept the windows open and was lulled to sleep under a starry night sky and awoke in the morning to the happy sounds of robins and chickadees and cardinals. Sterrett is the best host, gracious and helpful while giving you complete privacy. I would recommend any of her rentals without hesitation. I didn't want to leave!

    Teri2015-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay at the Garret was just as lovely as the first! Sterrett does such a fabulous job running this guest house - it really is seamless from start to finish. The garret itself is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean - perfect for an escape from the city. Thanks again!!

    Lauren2015-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sterrett was a fantastic home. We stayed in the Garret which was a beautiful furnished and impeccably clean portion of her barn. Her property is lovely and she was helpful with tips of places to eat, things to see in the vicinity. We highly recommend staying with her - I'm sure the other options on her property are fantastic as well if The Garret is booked up. Five stars!

    Aaron2013-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sterrett was a very welcoming and knowledgeable host, she even met us late in the evening so we would not get lost on our way. She knew a lot about the area and helped us plan our stay. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean; with an excellent view. There was plenty of coffee, tea, and pretty much anything else you would need - including a stove and refrigerator. There are very scenic and accessible hiking trails close by. The towns of New Paltz and High Falls are very close and have a great selection of good restaurants. Also, the Mohonk Mountain house was just a few miles away. We would definitely stay again!

Our newest addition to the Tweefontein Herb Farm Paradise rooms. This beautiful & rustic lofted space has tons of character and is our most spacious room with it's own wood pellet stove for heating, space for yoga & a reading nook.
The Tweefontein Farmhouse was built in the late 1700's as a dairy farm and was later used to house aqueduct workers. In the 1980's the property was acquired by Ann Salomon who transformed the property into an herb farm and gave it the name Tweefontein, named for the two springs on the property. Now the farm is cooperatively run by a group of four who are passionate about continuing what Ann started and working in harmony with Mother Earth. The Lotus suite is more than three times larger than our other guest rooms. There is a lofted space above the first king size bed with another king size bed which can be used for additional relax space, reading, or just for additional guests. Both mattresses are super comfy, pillow top mattresses. This room can was designed to accommodate 2 guests but could potentially accomodate one or two more persons if they did not mind the smallness of the lofted space. Please be aware that the lofted space is accessed by the ladder shown and is only the size of a king size mattress and does not have very high ceilings or a railing (see pic) The pellet stove heats the room in minutes and the extra heat and hardwood floors are great for anyone wishing to use the room for their yoga practice.
Private Street off of Route 299. No houses visible. Nature abounds! Our property is sandwiched between the Mohonk preserve and the Minnewaska State Park. We are just three miles from downtown New Paltz where you can find access to the historic Rail Trail as well as some amazing restaurants and shopping. An ideal spot with some of the best hiking and climbing in the country!
  • Beautiful home and beautiful people. Everyone was very helpful and welcoming. The bed in the lotus suite was AMAZING! Slept like a baby :)

  • Amazing down to earth people. Tweefontein is an true treasure. The people, the land, the location, and the room was beautiful and toasty warm with the private pellet stove. The space is magical and emanates amazing energy. What a find. a must stay!! Cant wait to come Back!!

  • Jill, Chris, and the rest of the farmers at Tweefontein Herb Farm were more than accommodating. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and a couple of meows from their adorable cats. The room was beautifully decorated, which enhanced the ambiance and feel of the farm, and the beds were so comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wishes to have a nice relaxing place to stay in the heart of nature. Plus, you can walk out with a great find from their crystal shop!

  • My partner and I arrived exhausted and overwhelmed the day after our wedding. We could not have picked a better place to decompress and recenter. Chris and the live in volunteers were warm and helpful and the room was beautiful. We loved exploring the farm and down town New Paltz, and jumping on the trampoline was the perfect way to shake it off and celebrate. We will definitely be back.

    Laura2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tweefontain Herb Farm is a magical place. We felt at home immediately. Each room and space is an exquisite olfactory journey. You will leave this place smelling wonderful. The vibe is super-chill. The space is definitely lived in and rustic. Don't expect every cobweb and dust bunny to be cleared. We thought this actually contributed to the charm of the space. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless, though. All of the people we met there were on the chill-train. The location is out of town, which we found to be nice bc New Paltz is a college town and actually gets a little rowdy in the evenings. All around a great place and the only joint we will be book when we come through New Paltz.

    John2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our night at the Tweefontein Herb Farm. It was a great escape from NYC and Christopher, Jill and co. are lovely people. I hope to see them again at the Union Square farmer's market (or perhaps another stay!). :)

  • Staying at Tweefontein several times now leaves me wanting more. You must experience yourself.

    WENDY2017-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I arrived at Tweefontein, and were greeted by Jill, who showed us our room (Lotus) and gave us a tour of the property. The farmhouse, which predates the 1810 census, is delightful. It is very clean and well kept, with a terrfic bed, soft linens and an ample supply of guest towels. The 4 people currently working there, Jill, Chris, James and Morgan, are all welcoming and friendly, and readily answer any questions about what they do on their herb farm. They have chosen a path of peace and tranquility, and work together in a quiet harmony. This attitude flows through the property, and our stay there was relaxing and restful. The various beds of herbs, flowers and vegetables are great to walk through, and offer a contemplative atmosphere. An ancient arbor guides you on a walkway to another field, a trampoline and an outdoor shower, if you so chose, complete with hot water. Even as you feel like you have stepped back in time, the farm has Wi-fi and is a short hop over to New Paltz, a dandy town with great restaurants, and plenty to see and do. And, of course, the Mohonk park is very close with its famous climbing cliffs, "The Gunks". The folks on the farm are vegan, and they lay out a nice selection of cereals, tea and very good coffee in the morning. One of our mornings was spent in the company of 4 other guests, sitting around the large kitchen table having coffee and talking. Moments like these are why I chose to stay in places like Tweefontein, if I am fortunate enough to find one. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here very much, and will most likely come here again.

RELAXING/COLORFUL/EXPANSIVE/PRIVATE On a park-like ridge just up from the creek, looking back at Mohonk Mountain House and Preserve with wild gardens all around, is a large wing you can have all to yourself! There is no kitchen, but a few essentials such as under-the-counter fridge, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, and a few utensils and dishes are there for guest use. PET FRIENDLY! PLEASE ASK FIRST! $25 CASH PER PET FEE. DOGS ONLY! PLEASE PUT CASH IN JAR IN WEST WING BEFORE CHECKING OUT!
In High Falls, with views of the Shawangunk Ridge and the Mohonk Preserve is a 850 square foot private apartment we like to call the West Wing. It has an expansive, lofted living area and one beautiful red bedroom with a private bath. It is on 30 acres with private creek access and just a 90 minute drive from the George Washington Bridge and NYC. A couple of miles up the road are a number of trailheads into the Mohonk Preserve. The historic and charming villages of High Falls and Stone Ridge are just 4 miles away and New Paltz is 11 miles, with every amenity that you might need for a great country stay! The West Wing is attached to the main house by a private 20 foot long hallway with floor to ceiling glass and views out over the lawns and gardens to the ridge beyond. The large living area includes a spiral staircase to a separate loft for guest use with a 14 foot long by 4 foot wide built-in which is great for lounging or sleeping. There is comfortable seating in the living area underneath the large hanging Moroccan lantern, in three club chairs and on the teak day bed. A flat screen TV is included with HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Epix, all networks, Netflix and Apple TV. The dining area has a glass and metal table that seats four, an under the counter refrigerator, microwave, electric tea kettle, coffee maker, and utensils. There is NO kitchen on site for guests' use. The bathroom is off the bedroom and has a separate shower and separate tub. The floors are polished concrete with radiant heat. There is AC in the living area and a ceiling fan in the bedroom. The AC does a fantastic job of keeping the whole space comfortable in summer. A large beautiful antique carpet in the living area brings the whole space together! Although we do offer one night stays, we prefer a two night minimum stay on the weekend and for some holidays three nights. But please contact us and we will be happy to see what might work!
  • When I called Sterrett to let her know of our arrival time, I knew instantly that we made an excellent decision. She was warm and friendly on the phone. When we arrived at the property, we were in awe. Sterrett's place was amazing. When you enter the property, the views and vistas are just breathtaking. Inside, Sterrett's amazing sense of design and creative expression will leave you feeling inspired. She is clearly a gifted woman with tremendous artistic talents. The wing was immaculate and the bed and bath were dreamy. At night, be sure to turn off all the lights except the Morroccan chandelier! The kaloedescopic colors and reflections from it were so beautiful. Overall, Sterrett is an experienced host who made us feel at home and comfortable. It is the perfect location to use as a base to explore Mohonk and other sites in the area. Thank you so much Sterrett, we look forward to returning again.

  • Sterrett is an excellent host with a lovely home. I'm a terrible planner but she provided a comprehensive email with a plethora of local attractions that helped a lot when it came to planning activities. The entire wing was spotless and it's obvious that she put a lot of effort into the design. She was very flexible with our check out time and was welcoming to our dog as well. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay very much and had a lovely weekend.

  • Such a beautiful location! Beautiful property, spacious room, and it was so clean! I would definitely stay here again.

  • This little retreat was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. We went for the weekend and even though the weather was awful we still enjoyed our stay. Sterett's west wing is clean, comfortable and extremely relaxing. There is a lot to do in the area winter and summer and wrongly touched the surface because of the weather. Highly recommend!

    Lindsey2014-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sterrett is a wonderful hostess and the West Wing is a lovely getaway. The space is immaculate, full of light from the large windows, and has been tastefully decorated with attention brought to every detail. The loft provided me with a very comfortable reading space, and our dogs enjoyed the spacious backyard. The surrounding area was fun to explore and we found people to be very friendly.

  • My wife and I had a wonderful time at Sterrett's "30 acres, a wing, and a view". She was very friendly and gracious. The apartment and property is absolutely beautiful inside and out - with comfort, warmth and exquisite taste and decor. We highly recommend! - Richard and Marcy

  • I stayed in West Wing and was very very happy! Great interior design taste, great mood. Lovely property and surrounding area. Sterrett is a very kind, accomodating host. Will definitely be coming back!

    Juan2013-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Sterrett was a great host. When we arrived, she gave us a thorough review of the apartment and informed us about local amenities. It was clear that she knew what she was doing, and that we were in good hands. And since she lives next door, any kind of urgent issue could be addressed, if needed. However, the close proximity wasn't a problem at all and never interfered with our desire for privacy. Between the house and the river, this is the most beautiful airbnb I have ever encountered. What a special place.

  • Beth and Tim are obviously very much used to welcome guests on their beautiful property. Everything was as described and even better. Tim walked us around his farm, introduced his animals and made us feel at home. The weather got bad with heavy rain & thunderstorm during the night on our second day but the tent and trailer made it through without any problems. There are amazing places within an hour drive to hike, swim and rest.

  • We had a fabulous time camping at Beth & Tim's place!! We absolutely loved it! Their farm and land and area surrounding it are gorgeous. Beth & Tim are both very nice and welcoming and we hope to go back to camp again. Def recommend this listing. Thanks, Beth & Tim for a great weekend!

  • This is our 4th time staying at Tim and Beth's and we love it every time! They are so friendly and accommodating. This was our first time staying in "The Outpost," the Boat, Tent, and RV and it was awesome. We cooked on the grill, hung out at the picnic table, and had all the fun of camping, with the luxuries of the RV and the charming features of the boat and tent. 5 of us stayed comfortably, 2 in the boat, 2 in the RV, and 1 in the tent, but a couple more could have easily joined. Amazing as always!

    liz2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We are not camping people, coming from Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Paris, but this outpost made us feel luxurious. Beth and her husband are very lovely (inspiring in fact) and their property comes with all the accoutrements to make a stay in the country charming: fresh baked bread and apple pie, firewood, and warmth of spirit. We enjoyed cooking our dinner and eating under the stars, around a campfire. It will be a memory we cherish for the rest of our lives.

    Iman2013-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had an exceptionally wonderful time at Beth and Tim's Outpost! Despite the torrential downpour, all eight of us had a beautiful, memorable and fun experience in a peaceful and vibrant corner of the woods. When we arrived, we we struck by the fact that the compound is even cooler in person than in the pictures. Because we spent so much time escaping from the rain, it was great to have so many interesting places to hang out inside. When we did go outside, we loved that we were right by the stream, and also that we could walk down the road and visit pigs, horses, and chickens. This place had the perfect combination of nature, privacy, and comfort.

  • After being in the city for a year now, this is precisely what I needed. The constriction of the noise and crowds dissipated as soon as I stepped out of the car and looked up at the stars. No complaints whatsoever, yet I will warn you, if you are arriving after dark, you or your GPS may have trouble finding the exact location of this camping area. We found the farm easily enough and Beth appeared in the dark to help us get situated even though it was midnight when we finally arrived. I would advise having a printed map for the last 2 miles of your drive. You will need ice, a second cooler if more than 4 people and you are planning on cooking yourself, and maybe some sheets or pillows if you wish, headlamps or flashlights, even though there are lights around the camp area. As an experienced camper, I came prepared with all the things I usually take but found that I could have saved myself a big bag by not bringing silverware, dishes, knives, cutting board, french press, etc. We took a day and went hiking at Minnewaska State Park but could easily have explored the surrounding areas and seen only a fraction of the landscape. It is absolutely enthralling to sleep with the sound of a stream running through your dreams...a real stream, not a sound machine recording! The only noises you will hear are nature (horses, chickens, leaves, and wind), laughter, and perhaps a little of the daily farm work(URL HIDDEN)The auras and vibrations from Beth and Tim are of the immediately comforting sort, the kind of feeling you get that you have known someone before. We talked about sustainable living, using the earth in a respectful give-and-take way, and just escaping the grinding millstones of corporate structure.(URL HIDDEN)would implore anyone who has an urge to escape to come to one of the camping areas Beth & Tim have built into their beautiful surroundings. In doing so you can be completely assured that the money is helping support a working and loving homestead as opposed to a white-washed pricey getaway.(URL HIDDEN)group of eight people that do not know each other that well got along tremendously, and we all agreed as we were parting that this was the best escape that we could have found. Thank you and much love!!!!!!

  • We ended up renting the cabin instead of the trailer but our stay on the property was wonderful. We explored Accord, New Paltz (nice restaurants and cafes), and even drove up to Woodstock. One thing to mention is that during the summer time the surrounding waterfalls and pools tend to dry up quite dramatically. If you stay up here be sure to check out the Eggs Nest, a super funky restaurant by this kooky local artist. Great vibes and food.

    Clayton2014-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely spot, super well set up and cozy. The trailer is great with a super useful kitchen. You can cook a glorious meal. Cute farm with horses, kittens, roosters, the works! A few little issues here and there (leak from the ceiling, etc) but a great, cozy crib.

A true log cabin, the house features a natural stone fireplace. The restful sleeping loft has a queen bed under skylights and is accessible from a short but steep staircase (with hand rails). In the kitchen you'll find all the tools and basic supplies you need to cook a multi-course meal including a dish washer. Guests may help themselves to coffee, tea, butter, jam, english muffins, etc. There is also a propane grill outside. The bathroom has an antique claw foot tub and a rain maker shower head.
The cabin is two hours from New York City, easily accessible to groceries, restaurants and shops in Stone Ridge, High Falls and Rosendale as well as the larger towns of Kingston, Woodstock and New Paltz. Located on six acres of forest, it is also close to the Minnewaska and Catskill State Parks, and the Ashokan Reservoir.
  • I can't rave enough about how magical Terry and Flo's Creative Cabin is! My girlfriend and I booked the cabin after another airbnb offer fell through for a last minute getaway from Long Island. We were absolutely blown away by the details in the cabin: you can tell everything is brand new and well taken care of, plus you get the added bonus of certain historical features that serve as decorative pieces, like the non-functioning wood burning stove. The pictures on airbnb give you a feel for the cabin, but the whole aesthetic is even better in person! We spent a day out in Woodstock exploring, but honestly the best part of our trip was coming back to the cabin. We'd spend each evening listening to music on the old fashioned stereo, cooking dinner in the beautiful, fully functioning kitchen, and then drinking wine and eating smores in front of the absolutely gorgeous fireplace. Terry and Flo also went above and beyond by leaving little notes with information about how things work, like the fireplace, around the cabin and keeping the kitchen stocked with anything we may need from butter to breakfast treats. It was a truly romantic place and a trip that we will remember for years to come. I wholeheartedly recommend this cabin and would love to come back again!

  • From beginning to end our 3 day stay at the creative cabin was everything we were looking for and more. The perfect combination of quiet cabin in the woods and close to so many things to do (restaurants, shopping, hiking). We are already planning another trip in a few weeks. Thanks Terry and Flo for making this such an easy trip to navigate.

    Patrick2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Terry's Creative Cabin was a real treat! Terry was a great host, extremely quick communication and very accommodating. It's an incredibly beautiful property and my boyfriend and I felt like it was the perfect getaway from the city. The cabin is just as described and even better than we ever expected. We were left to our own privacy and the cabin provided any and all amenities we needed. We recommend using the fireplace as it was an incredible bonus to our trip. After a long day outdoors we couldn't wait to return and relax by the fire. We will definitely be recommending this spot to our friends and hopefully get the chance to return in the future!

  • This is the perfect little getaway! What a cute house in a secluded area. Easy to get to from NYC. Kitchen is perfectly stocked. Fireplace is great with a nice glass of wine and some good company! Would highly recommend this place for a chill escape. Scenic drive to several beautiful hikes/lookouts. Thanks, Terry!

    Kelsey2017-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, exactly as advertised. A perfect place to escape and get some serious work done. Everything you need from a lovely kitchen, grills, stereo and a real bathtub. Highly recommended.

  • Terry's place is magical. We had such a wonderful time in his cozy cabin with the fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and beautiful porch. Terry is a great host, the check-in was very easy and he always responded immediately when we had any questions. I can absolutely recommend staying here. The location is great, close to many great hiking trails, cute little towns like Rosendale, New Paltz or Woodstock. Definitely coming back here! Thank you!

The Shack at Water Street is located on The Wallkill Valley Rail Trail in New Paltz, NY. It overlooks the Wallkill River, is across from Water Street Market and an easy walk to downtown New Paltz.
The Shack is a small, quiet space that has been designed to take advantage of its special location. Upstairs main room features picture windows overlooking the river. A couch, swivel recliner and sleeper sofa provide sitting area that converts to additional bed. There is also a bathroom/shower upstairs. Downstairs bedroom includes Queen bed facing view of the river along with bathroom/shower. Note: the small set of stairs to the bedroom are steep. Front entry room also includes sleeper sofa along with access to small deck facing river. Kitchenette for minor food preparation includes table/chairs, small fridge, sink, toaster oven and microwave. Second deck located off kitchen also faces the river and provides excellent views. Heating/cooling units beneath picture windows upstairs and downstairs are controlled by their respective remotes.
The Shack is surrounded by both natural beauty and unique commercial options. Walk the Rail Trail, gaze out over the river, visit Water Street Market's shops and cafes or venture to downtown New Paltz.
  • Chris was the best! He communicated quickly and was very accommodating. The location was really great- right on the river, by the rail trail and across from shops. My kids were so excited. They said "best cabin ever"!

  • The shack is the perfect location for a cozy getaway in New Paltz. It's right in town, so everything is walkable, but it feels exceptionally private from the inside. The view of the river is unbeatable. The house was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. We loved listening to records while playing cards or trivia. We highly recommended this listing!

  • Beautiful view & great location!

  • The Shack is a lovely cottage right on the edge of town and just off the rail trail. The location couldn't be better. The views of the river are so restful.

    claudia2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Super easy..the view is so relaxing and the record collection changes the game

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Shack at Water St. We stayed at the there when we went upstate to attend a friend's wedding. The rental is super cozy with more than enough room for 4 people (2 couples) . The view of the river is so beautiful. It makes you feel as if you are on a boat on the river. The "rail trail" is perfect for a morning run (or walk) and an amazing market full of shops and cafes is just across the street. We'll definitely look to come back if we make the journey to New Paltz again.

  • Gorgeous views of Wallkill River and Mohonk Mountain. Very close to delicious food (including the wonderful vegetarian "Karma Road") and shops. Walkable from bus station too. Chris made a comfortable home and it seemed like everything was thought of to make a visit easy and nice. I highly recommend it and I will certainly be back.

    lisa2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was the best host even though we didn't meet him. He was very quick to respond and sent me suggestions of what to do in New Paltz at night. This place is Location, location, location. It doesn't get any better than that in the Hudson. The bike trail was right outside the door and the bike shop too only 1 min walk. There is also a marketplace across the street and all the restaurants you can think of. The view of the river was really nice especially during sunset. The only thing I would suggest is that if you are driving to this location from home, bring your own pillows as I don't think the ones available are very comfy. Also the steps to the bedroom are very steep so if you are coming with kids younger than 4 or 5 keep that in mind. I would definitely come again.

  • We stayed at the annex for two days and it was a very nice weekend. We loved the hot tub and how there were horses and a friendly goat right outside our front door. The hosts were super nice and gave us a few recommendations for what we should do nearby during the day. They only had one working bicycle unfortunately so we couldn't go bike riding but it turned out fine b/c we had a car so we drove to High Falls and Rosendale for some light hiking and exploring. Be noted that there is no wi-fi in the Annex (not mentioned in the listing). There's a lot of good food nearby including the Mountain Brauhaus (need reservations!), The Roost, & Main Street Bistro.

  • My girlfriend and I had a fantastic stay at this property. The proximity of the rental to the farm animals truly made this a one-of-a-kind experience. Will hopefully be back soon!!

  • Staying at the annex was a real fairytale, the space is beautiful, comfortable and cute, and the location is absolutely breathtaking. This is the best place to completely get away from the city and have a relaxing week end in the nature. Beth and Tim are really good hosts too and always helped to make our stay more comfortable. I hope I'll go back!

  • Amazing time at the farm! loved all the animals roaming around, I even renamed the goat Billy! The annex was perfect, jacuzzi was great, and the steam shower was the best! Wish there was wifi so we could watch movies but the board games and animals kept us entertained. The perfect place if you have a pet too. Would definitely come back!

  • Terrific stay! Love waking up to an oasis of animals- horses, kittens, dogs! The annex is exactly as described and very cozy. Comfortable bed too! And the shower... you have to try the shower. Entertainment and cleanliness in one! We hope to be back!

  • I would go back, cute animals, close to hiking and good food near by at the Kitchenette restaurant. Bring earplugs as the host instructs if you want to sleep through the rooster and baby goat near by.

  • I really loved my stay in the apartment and David was an excellent host. This apartment is the perfect Airbnb experience, gorgeous, clean and comfortable. David gave me some great hiking ideas and was so friendly and made me feel right at home. The photos are totally accurate- it is really that beautiful inside and out!

  • This was my first time using airbnb- meaning, I was nervous about the possibility of being mislead by pictures, or living in an apartment with a scary host up above. But, it was great. The apartment: Situated at the bottom of an unassuming house in Rosendale, the space is thoughtful and modern, with a firepit outside. (David built nearly everything himself, which is hard to not be impressed by.) It is very actually clean. Trust the pictures. The windows dont have shades (yet), and some sound travels between floors, which may be an issue for people that need absolute privacy. But, we loved how light flooded in, and werent bothered by the occasional noise. Rosendale: It's a small town with a lot of nature to explore, but not much else. We ended up hiking, eagle watching, and observing some impressive rock climbing. Dont underestimate the beauty of nature preserves and the Ashokan reservoir. Most of our meals were cooked at the apartment, since the local restaurants didnt wow us. The host: David was welcoming, attentive, helpful, and encouraging. He made it easy to ask questions and made sure we were comfortable. His attitude made the whole 'living under his house' situation instantly un-scary. Overall: I definitely recommend staying here. It's great for people that want to get some quiet away from NYC, without having to go too far(URL HIDDEN)

  • David's apartment is a wonderful - well laid out, bright, and spacious. Very clean and comfortable. And David is a fantastic host, accomodating and helpful. He had a lot of great suggestions for everything, from places to eat or hang out, to cross-country skiing and hiking. And the apartment is close to everything! We will definitely return. Thanks David!

  • David was the perfect host; gracious, informative, unobtrusive and accessible. The basement apartment overlooks a beautiful natural wooded and rock landscape. The Rail Trail and Main Street of Rosendale are only minutes away on foot. It proved to be a very tranquil retreat.

  • David is a super nice guy and an amazing host. His house (which he hand-built himself) is beautiful, including the downstairs apartment that my girlfriend and I stayed in. David was really helpful picking us up from the bus station (super easy trip from Port Authority), and gave us great suggestions for biking, hiking and food in the area. It was the perfect getaway from NYC.

  • First off,if you have not visited Rosendale, you must! Not only did we fall in love with town but the apartment was perfect to match! Although not meant for full time occupancy, this apartment was designed as if you were going to move in.The owner covered all needs down to fresh ground coffee. The apartment was clean, well kept and set on the most beatiful back drop.David (the owner) was helpful upon our arrival with meeting us at the property, showing us around the apartment, having a detailed print out of resturants, bars and activities to do around town.I would highly recommend this property. In fact,I would return and send anyone of our friends to visit. We were able to leave the car parked and walk to some local spots as well!

  • The Hickory Cottage is as described - perfect! The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need. We enjoyed spending time talking, using the board games provided and cooking together - I don't know the last time we had a weekend with no tv! The kitchen is well equipped. It was a wonderful weekend getaway. We choose this location due to the close proximity of mohonk mountain and lake minnewaska where we spent the day hiking. Thank you Judy & Eric!

  • The Hickory Cottage is great, and the same is true for the beautiful, calming surroundings. Furthermore communication with Judy and Eric was easy and efficient.

  • My boyfriend and I spent two incredible nights here for his birthday weekend. We hiked at Minnewaska State Park, which is only twenty minutes away from the house. The house is amazingly beautiful and in a very peaceful area. We will definitely be back! It's perfect for nature lovers and for everyone who wants to get away from the hustle of NYC, or any other busy city. The house itself is sunny and very cozy. The warm sunlight wakes you up in the morning, breakfast on the porch with fresh air taste delicious and BBQ is the best way to satisfy the hunger after a long day of hiking.

    Tamar2015-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Judy & Eric were very accommodating. The cottage was very comfortable & we enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently located for us to be able to attend our son's wedding.

  • Our one night stay at Hickory Cottage was perfect! After spending the day at the Franklin Roosevelt Home and Museum, the four of us had a lovely nights' stay. The two bedrooms were as advertised and the living room and kitchen were fully equipped and comfortable. The house was clean and offered sheets and towels. Although there was the deck,we did not use it as the mosquitoes occupied it.

Our home is a little oasis located in the very heart of downtown New Paltz Village. We are "As the Crow Fly's" 90 secs to main street! (Yes I timed it!) Our place is a Treasure, an 1890 Painted Lady Queen Anne Victorian in short walking distance to many American and ethnic restaurants, shops, parks, historic Huguenot Street, and many friendly bars & Pubs. New Paltz is known for many things but nothing compares to it's stunning Sunsets which can be enjoyed from 3 of our 4 porches.
Our entire family are all SUNY alumni and Tom has been here since 1950 when his father, a professor, moved his family of 8 counting himself to this awesome town. Just like so many we all cant imagine not living here. :) We are a very short walking distance to Campus..about 2-1/2 blocks away. We sleep 6-7 comfortably and can provide very nice camping cots with the blow-ups! Tom and I have used them a few times and have had our own family sleep on them.. lots of great compliments and good nights sleep! We are now booking into next year 2018. Your main entry in the back (the best of all three entrys) will have access to a private Parisian style deck with flower boxes and room for 5-8 to enjoy alfresco meals when weather permits. We will accept well behaved children based on the parents say so. Believe me I understand how tempting stairs are to energized kids I was one of them and the oldest of 4 kids only a year apart! My poor mama! ;) We also accept dogs when the parents tell us that their pup is well behaved and house broken. Please contact us to discuss your family before booking. Thank you for your understanding ~J We charge an additional 50.00 per person over 5 up to 8 people. The entire apartment is Ice cold on those disgusting hot days we've been having this summer! There are 4 NEW AC units that blow cold and 3 of those have remotes! Welcome to your large 1200 sq.ft apartment. Its larger than most of the houses in NP! It's a warm and cozy home away from home with a large comfy overstuffed Sofa that's meant for lounging and there's a huge 2 person chair in the living/common room perfect for snuggling. The coffee table is perfect for putting your feet up! Go ahead it's fine! There's a 40 inch TV with cable and Wi-fi that we cant live without. We set the room up so it's perfect for doing nothing but especially when it's snowing. We are open for Christmas and New Year's Eve! It's beautiful here. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets for lounging. The charming and whimsical attic was renovated with two eave bedrooms and the full bath. The smaller one is a beautiful space, it's romantic and very comfortable.. it's also the most popular room because it's cozy and has a fabulous soft Queen bed meant for lounging in. The larger room also has a beautiful soft comfy Queen bed and a softer than soft double bed with a thick feather and down mattress topper. Its all about comfort and for me it's always the beds first and the lounging area next. The smaller bedroom, "The Zen" room or The "HoneyMoon" room is under the eaves with a view into a huge old sugar maple where Squirrels and chipmunks are often seen playing by the veggie gardens and flower beds. This year we had a tiny fawn born on our property! Watching this little one devour my flowers and adores my bean patch has been a mixed reaction for me! We did find that she wasn't frightened of us one bit! :) There's a tiny frog pond on the back of the property and there is also a small pond off the side porch with a restful and tranquilizing waterfall. A peaceful Zen Buddha has chipmunks living underneath - the cute little monsters that like to eat my veggies enjoy the view while sitting on Buddha's big head! Many of our guest have fallen in love with the charming upstairs Romeo & Juliet porch just off the living room with its Pagoda roof off the living room. We are still waiting for the proposal from the patio to the balcony!! In the evenings the outdoor lights are on and you can enjoy the magical and musical sounds of the water and in the spring and summer you will enjoy the view of the veggie garden we even have bunnies! This year we've added a rose garden and extra flower beds for cutting inside our veggie garden to protect them from deer and baby Bambi! They weren't saving any lily's or roses for me and I got tired of feeding them! All this and the Village too! Your private space has a separate rear entrance with paved parking for 2-3 cars. At the top of your entrance you will enter into a large formal dining room that seats up to eight. Through the dining room is a well supplied modern eat-in kitchen. Just before your arrival we stock your fridge with bagels, bread, eggs, cream cheese and butter, juice, and McCafe coffee from McDonald's (it's really the same beans as Starbucks!) ummm good and my favorite. There is a coffee press as well as a coffee pot. Some of our guest prefer walking into town for coffee and bakery goods or a great breakfast at the Bistro a quick walk from here. We also have a nice assortment of teas and are adding a collection of dried herbs and spices, fresh are available throughout the season from the gardens. I've added a small assortment of spices and have many to choose from if you need them. Ask! Even though I've supplied a couple of pots and pans and utensils I have a very large arsenal of pots and pans available and convenient to choose from even two woks. Just ask... For quick food shopping there are several delis for cold cuts and great subs and the shopping marts are uptown. This town caters to Vegan and Vegetarians so I'm sure you'll find all your culinary cravings just up the road! Literally a short block or two walk..
Our house is literally a few doors away from the Village and Main Street where you will find the Huguenot Library, Starbucks, a Taco Shack that's awesome, two Sushi restaurants, two chocolate shops, many restaurants including Mediterranean.. ummm. We are only two blocks from historic Huguenot Street with the original stone houses (a must) that are open on Halloween night for trick or treating, the historical Rail Trail, the Water Street Market, churches of every denomination, the Post Office, and an eclectic assortment of Bars & Pubs for great burgers, wings, thick clam chowder nasty nachos and wings and we can't forget we are the home of SUNY New Paltz one of the most beautiful campuses in NY that offers awesome theater and museums! Two blocks from our house is the public Moriello pool with a snack shack that recently re-opened on July 7th after going through extensive renovations.. Daughter Bec and I spent many days hanging with friends and watching the kids trying to best each other when after 8 years in Tampa we moved back here! We will consider a dog if it is well behaved and properly trained. We do understand the bond you have with pets and that you hate to leave them behind.. Please check with us before booking if you are considering bringing a pet or have children. 30 years ago our well behaved 4 year old was allowed as a last minute guest at a B&B that didn't accept children but because of the situation in the area we were accepted and given an attic room with a small antique bed for her... they were so impressed with her manners especially around the breakfast table that they reconsidered having children. Only you really know what your well behaved child is like.. Thanks for understanding~

  • This is your place to stay when you are in the New Paltz area! Janette is delightful! She's a ball full of energy and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to things to see and places to go in the area. The beds are amazing, you'll sleep like a log. The apartment is clean, quiet, and spacious. I can't wait to come back!

  • Serendipity is the perfect home for a relaxing and comfortable visit to the New Paltz area. The hosts are delighted to share their beautiful Victorian house with guests exploring the area. Everything is spotless, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the location is right in the center of town, yet just removed enough to be blissfully quiet. As a bonus, the house is filled with beautiful artwork by Jeanette, as well as choice antiques. Truly a gem!

  • What a lovely place to stay! The house is beautiful and everyone is very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was such a treat! I will definitely be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time!

  • Most amazing 2 days since starting college in the fall! The place is super cottage-y and homey and everyone on the farm in kind and helpful. There's an amazing hiking trail accessible from the back yard and the dogs and cats are adorable. The only thing would be that the water sometimes has a particular smell so showering was interesting but it definitely didn't dent the whole fantastic experience. Just be aware if you have sensitive smell.

  • Chris, Jill and all our hosts at the farm were warm and welcoming people. They have created a lovely and productive environment which they kindly shared with us. The farmhouse was comfortable and the grounds lush and productive even in early June. Only a few minutes to the town of New Paltz with a great choice of pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended, right down to the eclectic vintage shop on premises - be sure to leave with a treasure to commemorate your stay.

    Thomas2015-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Although short lived (only a 1 night stay), we really enjoyed our experience at the farm. Chris and the rest of the crew were extremely accommodating, engaging, inspiring and just plain down to earth. It's a truly a special place. We should have stayed longer, but we will definitely make our way back!

  • Although we never met Jasmine and Ken, they were communicative and friendly via messages. The cabin is wonderfully homey, with a great kitchen for making the most out of all the fresh produce available from the area's local farms! We enjoyed two peaceful evenings here, relaxing by the fire pit and listening to the sounds of the woods. Highly recommend!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin during the president's day three day weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time. It is a tiny and lovely cabin. We were looking for a place where we could cook, read, and write and that's exactly what we did. The place is also situated on a large expanse of land and Jasmine suggested a place for us to see the views. We went out each night for short walks and it was just incredibly beautiful, though be careful of the rose bush thorns! As we went up during one of the coldest weekends of the year, we had some issues with the pipes, but Jasmine and her husband were incredibly helpful and very responsive and even offered a refund. All in all a very nice weekend and we'd love to come back sometime in the summer! p.s for those coffee fiends, there is no coffee machine so bring a french press if you'd like. But there is a great little coffee shop nearby as well that we really enjoyed.

  • Jasmine's cabin is a lovely little getaway in the woods. It's very private and cozy. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck. It was the perfect retreat to escape the craziness of our wedding weekend.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Jasmine's lovely cottage. It was really picturesque and quiet but relatively close to amenities (supermarket) and Kingston. The cottage was recently renovated with all new appliances which was nice and appreciated the very thoughtful DVD collection. And Jasmine was very responsive to our email questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoy the peace! Conveniently located outside the historic village of Stone Ridge, NY, —close to High Falls, Rosendale, Woodstock, Kingston and New Paltz — yet set in 40 acres of forest, our House in the Woods is blissfully quiet and secluded.
A rustic handcrafted house on 40 secluded acres in New York's scenic Hudson Valley. The Woods Retreat is located in the heart of Ulster County, and the foothills of the Catskill mountains in the High Falls/Stone Ridge/Rosendale area. Close to New Paltz, Kingston, Woodstock and the Ashokan reservoir, the Woods Retreat is right across the river from Rhinebeck, Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie. This unique house was built and designed as a peaceful get-away with modern comforts, using local wood & stone and an open floor plan. We have a fully stocked kitchen with new stainless steel appliances. We make sure there are spices, an assortment of teas plus either house roasted or locally roasted, organic, free trade coffee beans for grinding. Our digitally controlled kettle will heat your coffee or tea water to the precise temperature to ensure your morning coffee/tea is perfect and you will always find fresh light cream in the refrigerator. We have all the accoutrements you need to prepare an outstanding meal, or to simply heat something up in the microwave. There is a brand new front loading, HE washer, dryer set in the utility room. The upstairs open loft has a queen size bed and huge south facing windows. The sleeper sofa downstairs opens to a queen size bed and we have two single fold up futons, (they are the perfect size for a young child) we can bring out of storage if needed. The upstairs bathroom has a whirlpool tub and we make sure there are bath salts available for a leisurely relaxing spa bath. We have a woodstove/fireplace and in the colder months we make sure wood and kindling are always available. There is a stone patio outside with a gas grill and al fresco dining is an option on the patio in good weather or in the screened, shaded gazebo. We provide clean linens and the beds will be made upon your arrival. There is also satellite TV and internet service available. It's quiet and secluded while being a short distance [5 miles] from a major road. There are views of the Catskills and seasonal views of Mohonk Mountain. The area is known for its abundance of great restaurants, art galleries, antiquing, and hiking as well as rock climbing in the Shawangunks and many historic sites. The Belleayre and Hunter Mountain ski region is within an hour's drive. Whether you're looking for a quiet, secluded weekend away, or a private & special base from which to venture forth, the Woods Retreat is an experience not to be missed!
The house is located on a private road, off a country lane, off a country road. While there are several other houses on the road, none are close—you can't see them and they can't see you. The nearest village of Stone Ridge has a well-equipped, lovely country market with a large organic section. There is a great wine and liquor store, a terrific library housed in a beautiful stone house and several farmers markets with locally grown fruits and vegetables. The valley, located between the Shawangunks and the foothills of the Catskills is one of exceptional beauty that attracts both visual and performing artists.
  • Donna has a created an amazing oasis in the woods. Her attention to detail keeps literally every need taken care of. The pictures don't quite do justice to how attractive the inside of this cabin is. There is a modern yet cozy feel the place. The property itself is secluded and gorgeous. I would come back here every weekend if I could.

    Jesse2015-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Donna is a wonderful host. She walked us through everything we needed to know in person and is easily available to answer or respond to questions. We loved the place, and had a wonderful relaxing weekend with our dog. It's the perfect getaway!

  • The description on the Airbnb website doesn't do this place justice. The home is warm and inviting down to the smallest detail including fresh flowers on the table. The surrounding woods are peaceful and breathtaking. Wonderful vacation spot!

  • The house is a unique design that feels at once cozy and open. The loft where the bedroom is has huge windows that make it seem like a treehouse. My husband and I had a very special time there and look forward to returning!

  • We had an amazing time at The Woods, the perfect location for a relaxing few days away. The house is wonderful (as a previous reviewer said, the photos don't do it justice!), with the gorgeous fire place, well stocked kitchen, and lovely bath tub being highlights during our visit. Donna was a wonderful host, extremely communicative, friendly and helpful. We will definitely plan to return!

    Karla2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at The Woods Retreat twice now and absolutely love it. The cabin is well-equipped and charming, very cozy and secluded but close enough to town for quick grocery and wine runs. Donna's attention to detail is obvious throughout the cabin. It includes all the modern amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer, WiFi, satellite TV, etc) but it's best to just relax in front of the wood-burning stove or take advantage of the nearby hiking trails. A perfect escape from the city, only about a 2-3 hour drive. We will most definitely be back, we love it!

    Katrina2015-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Woods is a unique, well-designed, cozy home. Hope you enjoy it as mich as we did!

  • We could not have asked for a more wonderful host. Sue was more than gracious to accept our rather last minute request for a short holiday getaway. She welcomed us with a smile and helped us get acquainted with the space. She offered information on places to visit near by and eateries to try. The room was just the right amount of space and beautifully decorated. The use of space makes for a comfortable atmosphere. Within the space there is a kitchen, a dining area, a sitting area near the TV, the bed, a large closet with a dresser for storage and a full bathroom. The landscape and acreage add to the appeal of just sitting on your private porch and enjoying nature or taking a walk to discover the unknown. The location was central to many other towns and attractions by a quick car ride. We will definitely be back to enjoy it all in the warmer months. Thanks again Sue!

    Diana 2015-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Sue's cozy suite was so delightful! The scenic, charming drive up the mountain was such a fun way to get to know the area. The suite in itself was spacious, beautifully designed, and overall so hospitable. Upon arrival, Sue had already thoughtfully lit the potbelly stove to keep us warm. Sue was very amiable, easy to reach, and so helpful in recommending lovely hidden gems in the area---Sue is so fun to chat with and knows the area very well. Our stay went above and beyond our expectations!

  • Sue's pride in her place really shows. Enjoyed the beautiful room and kitchen, great little porch, yard, woods. Sue even provided breakfast (great local jam and milk, eggs, toast, etc). And excellent location near Minnewaska and Mohonk. Would absolutely recommend. We'll be back!

The suite was just as described, if not nicer. We had plans to stay out longer on Saturday, but decided to come back because we wanted to take advantage of the cozy apartment and great kitchen. We especially loved being able to sit out of the porch and look out onto the beautiful view. I would highly recommend staying here!

  • I stayed in this most wonderful suite a weekend in November and I can't speak highly enough of it. For starters, the nature surrounding the house is astounding. The views are just magical from the entrance. The space is very cozy and I have never slept in a more comfortable bed! That is a mattress to die for! The kitchen is brand new and very easy to make simple meals in. The suite features some beautiful antiques and is put together in a pleasing and functional way. This space offers the ability to really unwind, and either relax or really focus on a creative project. I recommend it highly and I look forward to staying there again next fall

  • We spent a lovely long weekend at Sue's sweet home and it was the perfect getaway from New York. We even prolonged our trip one more day. The space is so cozy and the surroundings are beautiful to take a hike! Sue was the best host and was always there to make sure our stay was wonderful! We will be back soon !

  • Traveled to the Hudson Valley for a wedding. After a hectic week and four plus hours on the road, arriving at Sue's beautiful, comfortable place could not been more of a relief! Sue is so easy to talk to and made me feel very welcome. She mentioned she loves decorating and it really shows. The space is wonderful and put together with such great taste. It really is even nicer than the photos can show. A lovely and safe home base away from home. Thanks, Sue for a great weekend in your scenic and quiet location!

  • The gorgeous apartment, decorated with antique furniture, has a view of the 11.5 acre backyard. It is comfortable, well-appointed, and in the perfect location for a getaway that's not too far (close to High Falls, Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Preserve, New Paltz, and more!). Sue was extremely accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, happy, and could enjoy our weekend vacation.

  • Bill and Hawley were wonderful hosts. I came in late, but they greeted me at the door, and we immediately jumped into easy and enjoyable conversation. The apartment was comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located. They left fresh milk, eggs, juice and other breakfast items, and provided fresh bread in the morning. Thanks for the great stay!

  • Beautiful area and friendly host. We didn't stay long enough to spend much time with Bill, but enjoyed our brief interactions. He recommended a delicious restaurant in town and the bread he baked was delicious. The fridge was stocked with ingredients for breakfast which made the morning a breeze. The house is a bit remote, which is lovely, but depending on the hunger level upon arrival, guests should be aware that the nearby towns are a 15-20minute drive away.

    Chris2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is cozy and comfortable, the location well situated, and the host gracious and kind. I recommend staying here.

    Jeffrey2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy, well set up little place Bill and Hawley have. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Bill answered our every question, gave us suggestions for hikes, as well as kindly brought over excellent homemade bread, fresh roasted coffee and maple syrup that he had tapped and processed....all throughly delicious. The small cottage was clean, quiet, tidy and well heated. It is centrally located to many areas. We loved it.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend and it was such a perfect stay. We were welcomed as friends rather than as strangers. The property is adorable, very homey. Bill was incredibly friendly. My boyfriend and I are both actors, so Bill, being a musician himself, was excited to have artists stay on his compound. It was great to have similar passions as our hosts, as it made it even more easy to get to know them. The hospitality was great. We were provided with food and drinks, lots of recommendations for places to hike, and Bill even invited us to have a casual hang out that night around the fire. Overall, a fantastic weekend. We weren't even a tiny but stressed out about our accommodations. Everything was perfect.

    Emily2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Upon our arrival, William came down to the little cottage apartment to greet us with warm bread he'd baked and freshly ground coffee that he had just roasted!!! Inside the kitchen was a bottle of maple syrup he'd made himself as well as some milk, butter, eggs and cereals. I was almost disappointed that we were only staying for one night because the kitchen was fully ready for preparing meals in - very nice! I was also disappointed that we were only staying one night because William was just a treasure to chat with. He and my musician husband knew several people in common all over the country and we ended up being late to our family event in the neighborhood because we lost track of time just shooting the breeze with William out by the koi pond. When we returned to the apartment late that night, he'd left a bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of half and half on ice in front of the door for us to have in the morning!! Truly a remarkable host. I couldn't help but hug him upon our departure and we've invited him to stay with us, should his travels bring him through our neck of the woods. Honestly, though, even if hanging out with a super interesting and cool host is not on your agenda, the apartment alone is absolutely worth every penny. The decor is charming, the bed and linens extremely comfy (a welcome first on the very last night of our 10 day trip), and the sound of the birds and frogs in the morning were lovely to wake up to. (And that coffee was excellent, too - not to mention Bill's bread made for excellent french toast!) Just five minutes down the road from my family's home, we will definitely be crossing our fingers that the Hideaway is available next time we are back in town for a visit!! Thanks for everything!!!

    Phoebe2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great find in upstate New York! Bill was welcoming and available, and the morning coffee and toast were a perfect start to our day. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

    Catherine2015-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. We took the hosts advise and ate at the "Gunk haus". We traveled to Opus 40 and Olana and had a great time. Kitchen, bathroom, and a/c all worked great. Bed was very comfortable and Bill brought us bread, eggs, tea and honey. All were enjoyed for breakfast. Apartment is modest in size but great on our budget and ever thing worked good. Perfect weekend in Hudson Valley.

We welcome travelers from everywhere to enjoy the beautiful Hudson Valley while staying in a traditional Dutch stone house. Guest lodging is an 800-square ft. private apartment that was the former summer kitchen. Owners live on premises.
Welcome! Our accommodation is an 800 square-foot studio which is the former summer kitchen of this 18th-Century house. There is one well-appointed queen-sized bed. The furnishings are stylish and comfortable. Radiant heat is embedded in the floor throughout the apartment. It is wonderful to have warm toasty feet but it doesn't make the room stuffy. It's especially nice when stepping out of the shower. There is a full kitchen with pots/pans and dishes so that you can cook if you wish to. The full-sized refrigerator has an automatic ice maker. An outdoor grill is also available. The large bathroom is comfortable and ventilated. The property has wide-open outdoor spaces on which you are welcome to relax, play lawn games, dine outside with plenty of lawn furniture to use. We own property on both sides of the road -- one side sits at the top of the waterfall where you can explore, swim, or kayak. Across the road our property is located on the O & W Rail Trail along the Delaware & Hudson Canal Heritage Corridor. This is available for mountain biking, walking, equestrian and winter sports. Also across the street is our restored 19th-Century barn and there are beautiful and quiet places to relax by a stream. We are within walking distance to the hamlet of High Falls. There are restaurants, great shops and antique stores. The High Falls Flea Market is popular on Sundays during warm weather.
The High Falls Food Coop is adjacent to our property. They have delicious to-go food for breakfast and lunch. It is reasonably priced!
  • I cannot begin to describe how magnificent my weekend was by David. The house is absolutely stunning, it is extremely and perfectly mixed with rustic and modern. The apartment where we stayed in is so cozy, spacious, and everything is so perfectly thought out, from the room, to the bathroom, to the kitchen and dining room. David, and Dan are incredible host, he welcomed and strongly recommended me and my girlfriend to hors d'oeuvres and cocktails with his friends as soon as we got there (their hors d'oeuvres was seriously more fancy and exquisite than most fancy dinners). The town of High Falls is really quaint and cute with everything you need and is also close to so many other incredible upstate NY towns. Overall my stay at David's Shadow Lawn was amazing and I strongly recommend staying there. I know I will be again.

    Sholom2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • David and Dan were the most amazing and gracious hosts! Their home is gorgeous and pictures do not do it justice! The location is perfect, close to several towns, dining, hiking, wineries, etc., and if you don't feel like leaving the property, it is an escape in itself. The lawn backs to hiking trails, a brook, and waterfall, not to mention the amenities. We have never felt more comfortable and at home at an Air BnB thanks to David and Dan. If you have the chance to stay at Shadow Lawn, I would highly recommend taking it!

    Sara2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is as good as it gets, people! Hosting extraordinaire David knows it's the little things that make a huge difference. I believe every guest that comes to Shadow Lawn has a nuanced experience based on the time of year and the activity going on at the Stone House at the time --and for us, it was fantastic. Came up here for a couple's weekend away from the New York City noise, and left feeling relaxed and supremely taken care of. The space is out of the pages of a magazine, you can buy food at the co-op next to the house and cook to your heart's content, the grounds are right next to the High Falls waterfall, you can walk into town to eat or walk to the Rail Trail to hike, or go into New Paltz for the day for the restaurants/bars/shops. David was so kind as to deliver these special moments for us during our stay: - Cocktails and a chat as soon as we arrived (delicious Manhattans and lovely conversation) - Cheese, crackers, fruit, champagne, coffee+cream, and snacks to enjoy during our stay (We are big cheese and crackers people, we gobbled them up throughout the weekend) - Badminton set up in the yard to play both days (I won by a landslide) - A chalice of chocolate easter bunnies (from the local chocolate shop, we ate them immediately) and sweets on Easter Sunday, plus fresh tulips! - A ride back to the bus station in New Paltz (a recommendation from David on what to do that day) Now, I don't want to promise that all of these lovely amenities are available for every guest who comes to visit, David is a busy man, after all, but I would be remiss not to mention how appreciative we were of the extra effort. Key takeaway: Stay here!

    Aleigh2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • David was waiting for me upon arrival, which was greatly appreciated as I was running later than I communicated! He was friendly and helpful! The apartment was cozy and absolutely lovely! Highly recommend!

  • From the moment we arrived at Shadowlawn, my husband and I felt welcome. As a native High Fallonian, I was familiar with the setting; the distant roar of the Falls and the songs of woodland birds, but the upgrades to the house and grounds are tasteful and gentrified. After sharing a cocktail and chatting with our hosts, we retired to our "nest" to freshen up for dinner with friends. The bathroom appointments are in keeping with the house; architecturally interesting, clean and functional. There is plenty of closet space in which to tuck suitcases and hang clothes. Shadowlawn is close to both High Falls and Stone Ridge, so there were several good restaurants from which to choose. When we returned from our evening and stepped back down into the apartment, we fell into bed and slept deeply, thanks to the comfort of the mattress, the deep quiet and the absolute darkness of the room. Our two night stay wasn't long enough to take advantage of the kitchen or the cuddling nook, but then, it's always good to save something for the next time. I look forward to a return stay at Shadowlawn!

  • This. Was. Amazing. From booking, to arrival, to the stay, to departure, this was one of the best lodging experiences anywhere I've been in the country -- commercial or B'n'B style. The pictures of the place are spot on (don't do it all justice, really). You truly feel at home in this space and every detail is immaculate, crisp and clean. I regret that I could only stay with a friend for 2 nights. David and his partner are about as fabulous, awesome and engaging as can be. Upon arrival, David whipped us up some hot chocolate and I miss it terribly :) They gave us recommendations on everything from liquor to restaurants to night life, and everything was spot on. It was privacy when we wanted it, and open-arms if you wanted to share a drink and hors d'oeuvres upstairs. This place is remote enough to be remote in the mountains, while still close enough to get to the cities in the area along the Hudson. Check out the barn and the creek and the falls. Ask about the extensive history of the house and their remodeling efforts. I could go on and on... Thank you David for a magnificent stay!

  • We went for the weekend for my boyfriend’s birthday and everything was perfect. The studio is super cute, comfortable, has amazing decor and David and Dan left us a bottle of wine and some snacks which was really nice. I didn’t actually realize it before we went, but there’s a whole separate house just for a hot tub and outdoor shower which was amazing after a long day of hiking! There’s even somewhere to hook up your iPhone so you can listen to music and just relax. It was also very close to some great, cute restaurants – Hash was awesome for breakfast and we went to Spy for dinner one night which was also really good. We hiked the Lemon Squeeze in Mohonk Preserve which was really challenging but also really fun and probably the best views you can imagine. Overall loved the experience, would definitely recommend.

    Margot2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great find! Located in a central location, I was able to get into Kingston and Stone Ridge within 5-15 mins. The farms in Accord are about 10-15 mins away. The apt is in the basement but large and so cozy and beautifully decorated. The bed, sheets and pillows were like clouds; everything was super clean! Dan was a gracious and welcoming host and I would love to return. The entire property is so beautiful, I was also able to walk down the hill to the High Falls Coop for breakfast sandwich and coffee in 3 mins. I highly recommend staying here.

Our unique Barn Loft is the perfect back to nature, streamside home, on 300 acres of farm and forest land. Your adventure is in your backyard, or just beyond. Our home provides a cozy and romantic setting, for reflection, connection, and relaxation.
Our barn loft was originally the back section of a huge dairy barn, where they housed the bulls. Exposed original beams, our own milled wood and stone work accentuate the charm of our rustic home and simple living. Open and bright, our space invites friends and lovers alike to relax and connect, explore and reflect. The great room hosts the lounging area and kitchen, with views of the pasture. Guests are welcome to use all appliances and spices they may need. The master loft has a king size bed, clean linens and a door looking out at our majestic Shagbark Hickory. The second bedroom off the great room has a private entrance and twin bed. The stone patio out back sits next to our apple tree. Here, you and your guests may relax, BBQ on a charcoal grill, or drink the night away around our fire pit. Our bathroom is a one of a kind hand built stone walled shower and tub. Our tap water comes from a natural spring, that can be sulfur at times, but we have a filtered water container in the fridge for you to enjoy. The small garden surrounding the house hosts a few herbs (when in season) which guests are encouraged to enjoy, just ask if in need of recommendations or a tour. Within the garden is a summer solar heated shower, to relax and rinse among ferns and morning glories, looking out onto the pasture. Living in nature, we are privy to the smallest of the beautiful world of nature, bugs. It is normal living in the woods that sometimes the bugs come inside. They won't harm you! Just shoo them away. We do have honey bees as well, you will never notice them, they are tucked away in the Christmas trees. Every part of our unique and quirky home has been built in the family over generations, and we invite you to share our experience and be a part of our story!
Our location is the perfect balance between the peace and quiet of nature, and the convenience of towns, restaurants, and bars. We are 20 minutes from the state thruway, 20 minutes from New Paltz, 10 minutes from High falls, Stone Ridge, all home to wonderful local restaurants, food stores, and shopping. We are only a short drive away from Mohonk and Minnewaska State Preserves, both of which we encourage guests to check out, and also countless other local hikes to waterfalls and lakes, bouldering, and biking. We are 5 minutes down the road from Westwood Orchards, and Arrowwood Brewery, a local bar where they grow their own hops. There are several residence spaced out on the farm, but your neighbors are all family or friends!
  • John and Colleen's place was amazing! Their adorable home was the perfect place to escape to for the weekend. We literally woke up to the cows mooing outside and the rooster and chickens down the driveway, which was amazing. The home and surrounding area are beautiful.. We will visit again! I highly recommend anyone looking for a relaxing time away, to visit this home!

  • This is the single best place I've stayed for a close-to-NYC night away. Perfectly clean, comfortable, quiet and a beautifully restored barn. Will be back. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you.

  • Very beautiful, peaceful and relaxing get away in a nice sized and well equipped farm house in a great part of the countryside. Coleen was responsive and communicated well, even came by to say hello to us, our college grad and our dog (who loved the retreat from NYC life). Thanks!

    Stephen2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful space!! The wood stove was so cozy, and the speaker system was awesome. It was even better in person than pictured- Colleen was totally welcoming and helpful with anything I needed. So glad to have stayed here, and greatly look forward to hopefully returning in the future.

  • We loved our stay at John and Colleen's cabin. It's a great place for some peace and quiet. We'd love to come back soon!

    Caitlin2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a special place - secluded, amazingly constructed, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. They have built this space with care, love and attention and it shows. We only had 1 night there for a work trip - it was hard to leave! And we hope to come back. Colleen and John were great with communicating with us and making us feel welcome and at ease. Highly recommended.

    Leah2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time. The cabin was perfect, and Colleen was available, helpful, communicative and incredibly friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had two heavy snowfalls during our stay and our hosts went out of their way to plow the long driveway and communicate with us about our travel plans to make sure we could get around. The cabin feels completely secluded and private, but there is a grocery, drug store, wine shop, etc. just ten minutes down the road. Gorgeous area, adorable cows, cozy fireplace, beautiful stream right outside. Perfect.

    Laura2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay while visiting New Paltz and the area. After being less than impressed with the nearby hotel options, we found this place and couldn't be happier. The barn loft is the perfect cozy size but still has all the amenities you need. We loved the unique design and decor inside, and the setting was so relaxing. We really enjoyed the feeling of privacy and seclusion, but also just being a short car ride away from several towns. John and Colleen were great hosts. Although we didn't get to meet them, they were very accommodating and we had all the info we needed and always knew they were no more than a quick text or call away. We would highly recommend this place, and we're keeping it mind for the next time we're in the area.

Looking to escape the city? Hillside Hideaway is a cozy, peaceful & secluded, apartment, situated on the ground floor of a lovely home nestled among a five acre wooded lot. With no neighboring houses in view, awaken to chirping birds and the magical sounds of nature at the foothills of the Shawangunk mountains, conveniently located just minutes from Stone Ridge, High Falls and Mohonk.
The Hillside hideaway is a luxurious 900 sq ft, newly renovated space boasting a romantic bedroom, stunning marble bath with overhead shower, cozy living room with wood burning stove, well appointed kitchen with granite counters, and all new amenities. Outside you'll find a lovely yard surrounded by forest, with a spacious porch complete with a hot tub, gas grill, fire pit and patio furniture which guests are welcome to enjoy.
Very private. The house and ground floor apartment are on a dead end cul de sac, rural neighborhood with no other houses visible from the property. Escape the sounds of civilization and get lost in the calls of nature.
  • Linda was incredibly hospitable and very generous. The place was very clean, and it was stocked with all the amenities needed (including snacks and breakfast!). We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Only thing to know is that this is a ground floor apartment in a private home with a private entrance. While the house itself is secluded and private, there is someone living upstairs. Other than that, the apartment is nicely remodeled and the hosts are very wonderful!

    Sam2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a positive experience in this rental. Linda and her partner Al are great hosts; very relaxed, welcoming and helpful people. We were greeted with some fresh locally brewed craft beer and a bottle of wine. The pantry and the fridge were generously loaded with food and prep items. The rental is newly constructed and felt like a scene out of an HDTV show with high-end materials and finishes. The kitchen utensils, cookware and dishware were high quality as well and we amateur chefs! There was also the "Alexa" device included which allowed us to give commands for music playlists, weather reports and more, super cool! From the kitchen window, you overlook the new deck exclusively for the use of those staying in the apartment. On the deck, there's a nice gas grill; a brand new hot tub; a dining table with an umbrella and a smaller table and chairs for sitting. Adjacent to the private deck is an upright fire pit with lounge chairs facing the woods. The hosts offered us the opportunity to use their deck too but there was no need, as ours was incredibly appointed and felt very private. The rental was easy to find at night; close to many places to visit and shop but yet tucked away in a cozy wooded property. The stars at night were stunning. We saw chipmunks, deer and some frogs. It is fair to say that a lot of thought and care went into meeting the needs and desires of renters like us and it was much appreciated. To say that they "thought of everything" is an understatement.

    Tara2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • What an adorable place! Linda and Al were the sweetest hosts. They just renovated the entire place and it was decorated so nicely! They left us a fridge full of goodies, and were so friendly and helpful! I would just add that the lockbox with the key is just to the left of the front door. We arrived after dark and weren't sure where to find it. Highly recommend staying here!

  • Linda and her place were amazing! She and her partner Al were very helpful and friendly. The space is brand new and beautiful. We would definitely recommend people to stay here if you were looking to explore the Hudson Valley. Can't thank them enough for how accommodating they were. We're looking forward to coming back!

  • We are a couple with two kids (ages 8 and 11) and all four of us loved our weekend getaway to this home! The house is very quiet and serene, yet is also within 10 minutes of a couple of excellent restaurants, farms, and other cute roadside stops. It's also quite close to Woodstock, which is a great place to explore, shop, and eat and drink. The indoor space in the home is tastefully decorated and very comfortable (kitchen stocked with snacks, coffee, drinks, and living room stocked with blankets and games) and the outdoor space is just as special (hot tub, lawn games, fire pit etc.). Linda is an amazing host; she was extremely helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and more, and also flexible about our check-in/out times. This place is a bargain! We highly recommend it to any couple(s)/family up to four people looking for a fun and relaxing weekend.

  • Linda and Al were great hosts. The location was very clean with updated bathroom and appliances. It is a great location for a quiet get away with close access to the town of Rosendale and the mountains. The many local Restaurants in the Rosendale area are fantastic. We had a great experience.

  • This is a beautiful place to stay. You feel secluded and have privacy even though it is an apartment below someone else's home. The finishes throughout were amazing and we were left food for breakfast and even a bottle of wine. There are a few local diners and spots, also close by was Minnewaska and Mohonk for a hike. We really enjoyed the town of New Paltz which was about a 20 min drive, which in itself was beautiful and scenic. I even heard they are upgrading more soon to come!

Our Catskills cabin is the perfect getaway from the city, just 2 hrs from Manhattan. It's located near scenic hikes and nature preserves, walking trails, swimming holes and skiing. Enjoy local breweries, flea markets and orchards nearby. Minutes from Stone Ridge and a short drive to Woodstock, Kingston and Phoenicia.
We love that our home has all the qualities of a classic cabin in the woods — an A-frame shape, wood-plank ceilings, forest views from every room — while still appealing to the sensibilities of modern, urban travelers. This is the perfect spot to get a little dose of summer camp nostalgia, while keeping every modern comfort close at hand. Barbecue on the porch or gather around the outdoor fire pit in the summer and into the fall. In the winter, get cozy in front of the wood-burning stove and take in the snowy woodland landscape.
The cabin is located in the hamlet of Marbletown (in the town of Accord), at the southern edge of Catskill Park. It's ideally situated between the many farms, orchards and preserves of the Rondout Valley and the protected mountains and woodlands of the Catskills. This area has been a popular getaway for New Yorkers for more than a century, but is constantly welcoming exciting new additions, from farm-to-table restaurants and high-end hotels to micro breweries and curated pop-up markets. We're relatively new Upstaters, but we've already found so many things to love and have plenty of recommendations on where to explore, hike, swim, shop and eat.
  • Perfect place for a gateway from the city. Only 2 hr drive, beautiful and quiet house, nicely designed and with all amenities, very comfortable. The host was very helpful throughout the entire process. Also lots to do in the immediate area: hiking, apple picking, brewery with craft beers and ciders, and more. Great place!

    Nicolas2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is a gem that we felt lucky to find! It is beautifully furnished with lots of light and plenty of spaces to relax. It was a great size for two couples, as the loft feels very spacious. We loved reading in the hammock, eating lunch on the porch, and sitting around a fire in the fire pit at night. We also spent a lovely afternoon at Westwind Orchard and Arrowood Brewery--a short drive away! Barclay was very responsive, helpful and communicative! We would love to return.

  • Perfect cabin! We had the best time - the guidebook has all the information you could possibly need in a thoughtfully laid out format. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the beds are comfortable, the wifi works great, and the wood burning stove is warm. Not to mention, the whole cabin is wonderfully designed/decorated. There are orchards and hikes nearby, and it's the best time of year to huddle around the fire pit in the backyard. Definitely recommend Barclay's place!

  • What an awesome awesome place! It's one of the best places in the Catskills that I have stayed at. Very well designed, spacious, stylish and exceptionally well equipped. Just renovated with excellent taste. Quiet and easily accessible. Houses like this are quite a rarity indeed! The area offers much for everyone, food and nature, swimming and biking. Excellent communication and easy arrangements with Barclay. 5 stars and highly highly recommended!

  • My boyfriend and I were looking for an escape out of the city to relax, golf, and hike. We are so happy we found Barclay and Mackenzie's place because it met all our expectations plus more! Their place is beautifully decorated and has a great outdoor setup to BBQ and make s'mores. There are plenty of great restaurants, bars, and antique shops close by in town. We got to go on several hikes to secret water holes and to lake minnewaska! Roundout golf course is a fun and beautiful golf course 10 minutes down the road. We are so happy we found their place! Thank you for having us!

Just renovated, with over 1000 sq. ft., it has a new kitchen with gas stove and griddle and a totally new bathroom. You can have your morning coffee and evening cocktails on a private bluestone patio overlooking a horse farm. The interior space has tons of light and is a delight to just hang out in. Legget Rd. is a quiet road with few properties on it. Its main attraction is the access to the Rail Trail. A two-minute walk from the cottage and it is great for biking and hiking. Ten miles north of us is Kingston where there are many restaurants as well.
  • We are so lucky we found this place. Everything was updated, it was spotless and had a perfect outdoor area. It was peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Anat and Jaime couldn't have been nicer and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect- near great walking paths and a short drive to charming High Falls. We can't wait to go back!

  • Jamie and Anat’s cottage was truly a gem to stay at. The surrounding area is very secluded and quiet. Jamie was very attentive and very hospitable. Their flexible schedule made everything super easy. The cottage itself was very neat, tidy and just overall a perfect weekend getaway.

  • The cottage is so quiet and comfortable! We really settled in, and we had everything we needed. The seating area in the back is especially lovely, if you are looking for a meadow view - complete with grazing horses from the farm next door! :) We slept comfortably, enjoyed coffee and relaxing while we read. The shower is very clean and the water gets nice and warm! The vanity is very large and has all the room you need for toiletries. Recommend!

  • Anat and Jamie are the perfect hosts. Very kind and caring, and full of great suggestions for places to visit nearby. The cottage is overlooking a horse ranch, and in the morning you can see the horses grazing. The cottage is located in a central location close to main roads and arteries. I walked Lake Minnewaska which I highly recommend for nature lovers. The cottage was clean and have touches of Anat and Jamie's art pieces. Thanks again for a relaxing stay!

  • We have spent four magical days in Anat and Jamie's immaculate guesthouse. Spacious, beautifully furnished, with a well-equipped kitchen, plus view of two horses grazing in the adjacent pasture, it will be your perfect home base to enjoy all the nature and culture that this region has to offer. Highly recommended.

  • If you're looking for a relaxing country experience, then do not hesitate to book at the Leggett Cottage. First, the cottage is located in a peaceful country setting. You can see nature all around you and there are horses at the property next door. There is also a hiking trail located a very short walk down the road. Second, the cottage has been recently renovated. The kitchen and bathroom are brand new, which we loved because everything is clean and functional. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything that you would need to put together either a simple meal or something more complex. There's even a Kitchen Aid Mixer, a food processor, and a great Weber grill outside on your own private patio. In addition to cooking utensils, Anat and Jamie generously provide various condiments, such as cooking oil, vinegar, mustard, ketchup, etc. You can go shopping for food at a local farmer's market or the close-by food co-op and then you'll be all set. Third, and most important, Anat and Jamie are sensitive and warm individuals who made us feel right at home. Although this was our first stay at the cottage, it felt like we were visiting longtime friends. They also provided a lot of useful information about the surrounding area, which made our stay much more interesting. My wife and I felt lucky that we chose the Leggett Cottage. Coming from NYC, we now feel rejuvenated and totally relaxed. We will certainly return and highly recommend this hidden gem.

  • This is was on of our favorite Air B n B experiences. The place was lovely and peaceful with a beautiful patio view. Anat and Jamie were amazing hosts - gave great information and were very attentive. We loved the the area - so much to explore from natural beauty to great restaurants. We are excited to return and stay here.

  • I had the great fortune of being one of the first guests to stay at this lovely cottage and can say with confidence that Anat and Jamie are quickly on their way to becoming super hosts. They were very easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome and special upon our arrival. The cottage is spacious yet cozy and reflects the owners good taste. I appreciated their original art (both are artists) and the thoughtfulness of the kitchen and bathroom amenities. Little touches go a long way sometimes and certainly made this affordable, cheery cottage feel luxurious. The location of Leggett is exceptional as well. The bike path is a 2 minute walk as advertised. The neighboring towns are only minutes away and offer delicious food choices, live music and more local charm. We were especially impressed by the Applestone Organic Meat kiosk, which is a 24/7 operation that allows you to buy beef and pork from their immaculate vending machines. If you are a foodie, this is an experience you must have! The local wine store in Stone Ridge was also incredible as the staff was very knowledgeable and helped us make fantastic choices all within our budget. The surrounding mountain ranges have many trail heads to choose from. Hikes vary from evenly laid paths for walking to rock scrambles for the lovers of more strenuous challenges. We went to the Spring Farm trail head and hiked the Mohonk Preserve. The wooded paths open up to mountainside meadows that were thick with wild flowers and sightings of monarch butterflies. There was a very creative and unique cairn on the Table Rocks Trail and gorgeous views at from the pavilion. I was with friends not up for the scramble at Bonticou Crag, but would certainly return to conquer it myself. It can be breathtaking to be in Upstate New York in the summertime (and any season, really). Our stay at the cottage made it possible for lifelong friends to enjoy every minute of its natural, wondrous, calming beauty. I would highly recommend a visit to the area and a stay at Leggett Cottage.

  • We had a great time at Betty's place. She was very accommodating as we were traveling with a young child. The place was clean, neat and unique. It is located in a excellent area close to hiking, shops, restaurants and more. We would recommend staying with Betty if you are traveling to the Hudson Valley.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Betty's for our anniversary trip. We absolutely loved it & will be going back! The listing looked just like the pictures, everything was very clean, and Betty even provided some snacks and spices and sauces to cook with. We enjoyed the vintage home, and Betty is an incredibly sweet woman who is very knowledgeable about the area and happy to help answer any questions and provide recommendations. Lots of great places to hike, swim, eat, and shop no farther than 20 minutes in most directions. Highly recommend staying here! We will be back :)

  • This place is extremely peaceful. I recommend it for any individual seeking to simplify, relax, or concentrate. Also it would be great for a couple to get away in a cozy and clean spot, located in the beautiful town of Rosendale. Betty, the hostess is very helpful, not-intrusive, just right. She knows the area well so is a great guide for things to do, see, eat. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely place with lots of charm and character! The bedroom and bed were especially cozy for our fall visit.

    Erin2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Betty was a thoroughly considerate and communicative host! We had a comfortable stay with no issues. "Vintage charm" is quite right - the space is roomy and private with a lot of character and decent modern conveniences (i.e. lighting, fan, WiFi). Betty really knows the local area, so do chat with her about food recommendations! We also recommend checking out the concert venue BSP Kingston nearby and taking a tour of Valkill (Eleanor Roosevelt's home/factory).

  • Upon arriving we got the feeling instantly that we have entered a really special place. Ed is a gracious host and gave us the outline upon arriving for a spectacular quiet weekend in the woods. On his very private property, your cabin sits elevated above your personal dock with a spectacular view of the lake. Most of our time was spent on our private dock swimming and sunbathing but once we were ready for some off site activity we decided to take the Walkill Valley Rail Trail that runs right through Ed's property to a trestle bridge. (Very cool features and history) Night time we were able to cook some fantastic meals in our fully equipped kitchen and we also barbecued on the charcoal grill outside (charcoal provided by Ed) We even decided to get the fire pit going with firewood also chopped/provided for by Ed. There is potential for enumerable adventures on Ed's property. It is all here for you and we can assure that you will not want to leave. We will hopefully be coming back in the autumn for a visit!

  • Ed was a great host the second time around as well, he's very accommodating, and easy to communicate with. The location is fantastic the lake is secluded and peaceful, with a great view. Ed provides plenty of firewood, charcoal, AND actual breakfast supplies, which is a rarity with AirBedandBreakfast! We love this place and it makes a great fall escape. We will definitely go back.

  • Ed is a very gracious and accommodating host. The house and lake are perfect for a quick weekend getaway or long, relaxing stay. The house is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need (Ed even provided a 6 pack from a local brewery). The lake is clear and perfect for swimming and kayaking. There is not much more to say that the house can't say for itself. Highly recommend.

  • The place is absolutely amazing. The lake is beautiful and clean, perfect for swimming and fishing (our son was so excited he caught a pike there) We also enjoyed kayaking and the row boating. The spectacular view from the cabin gives a feeling as you are in a treehouse, and at the same time it is so comfortable and cozy inside. The cabin is as described, perfect for a small families and couples. Edward Williams was solicitous and attentive. He was so helpful with the directions. At the place we found many unexpected pleasant thing such as necessary stuff for fishing, a water filter, bottled water and even six-pack of local beer. It was a remarkable city escape. Thank you very much Edward. Hope to come back again.

  • The hospitality of the owners, setting, incredible up-to-date and attractive cabin, variety of activities and food options in the area far exceeded our expectations. What a serene, lovely lake with clear, spring-fed waters that were a delight for boating and swimming. Watching the fish and turtles surrounding the dock was an extra treat. We arrived stressed out and left refreshed. We hope to return. It is a perfect getaway.

The apartment is a nice size and pleasantly decorated. Tom left yummy breakfast treats, including coffee which was so nice. The porch was great to sit and read on.

  • This is a perfect weekend getaway spot! While the location feeels really secluded and quiet, you are nice walk or very short drive to lovely retaurants, shops, etc. Thomas is a gracious host who met us and gave us a tour of the apartment and his property. He let us know we could contact him for anything and respected our privacy. Thomas's apartment feels very European. Clean lines, hand-crafted woodwork and bright! Thomas thought of everything....eggs, jam, cream, peaches, bagels, and fresh coffee awaited us. The apartment is sun-filled with large windows, spacious bathroom, a large futon and very comfortable bed. Outside your charming screen door, is a private patio area with a small grill and a view of a large lawn and woods beyond. Lots of bunnies and birds! There is a rail trail behind the property that provides excellent opportunity to see the area on foot. Had a great meal at Spy while we were there. Thomas, thank you for a lovely visit!

  • My wife and I enjoyed our two-day stay at Thomas's studio apartment. It is convenient and clean, and Thomas was very accommodating to our specific needs. The queen-sized bed is one of the most comfortable we've experienced, and the "couch" can be easily converted into a single bed. The studio, located on the side of the house on the lower level, has a small, attractive patio in front of its own private entrance. Thomas is a very interesting and friendly person, and generously provided some food items ready for our use in the refrigerator. Thanks, Thomas, for your hospitality, and we look forward to visiting you again.

Our home, built in 1830, has all the charm of that era with the added bonus of modern amenities. Situated on 6 private acres across the road from historic Rondout Creek, we have easy access to everything Hudson Valley has to offer. Your own private entrance leads you to your second floor bedroom and bath which are newly painted and decorated. The bedroom and desk area overlook the creek. This is a perfect location for a quick getaway from NYC.
Your room, bath and work area are located on the 2nd floor of our home. They are sectioned off from the rest of the house and will feel like your own little apartment. The entire space was newly painted and is furnished with antiques and comfortable furniture. New, soft and inviting bedding are part of your room. A sitting area to enjoy a book is located by a french window and a desk area overlooking the creek is situated just outside of your bedroom. The bathroom is updated with a combination wide bath/shower, luxurious Turkish towels and is bright with lots of natural light. The second bedroom is a bit smaller and located on the same floor. We make this room available if there are more than two in your group. You will enjoy the privacy of a separate entrance and your own space but will still have access to the back meadow for picnics, star gazing and use of our fire pit.
It's a cute old historic road and we are situated on 6 Acres across the road from Rondout Creek. This is where two miles of flat water on the creek begins. You can launch your water device or our canoe a mile up the road.
  • We booked one night at Sonny and Amanda's and were very happy that we stayed there. The home is as charming as described and the space is actually more spacious than described. We were pleasantly surprised by the temperpedic mattress and wonderful bedding. The bathroom is big and bright and immaculate. The property itself is across from the river and is a serene setting. Sonny and Amanda are as welcoming as you can be and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning

  • Sonny and Amanda are genuinely loving people. They are very caring and considerate. They accommodated my last minute request which I told him I would bring two additional guests. And they put the queen bed to accommodate us. They even offered me a boat ride but I couldn't experience due to the bad weather. Nonetheless, you will find peace you are looking for at Sonny and Amanda's place.

  • We really loved Sonny and Amanda and their place. The room was lovely and we had a fridge and kettle for making tea and coffee.. We loved sitting in the chaise lounge out back and taking the hand built canoe out on Rondout Creek. Rosendale is a great little town and we also enjoyed the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail and the Kingston waterfront. We hope to stay with them again.

  • We highly recommend staying at Sonny and Amanda's home. They are friendly and welcoming. Their home is located in a relatively quiet and serene area. It can best be described as quaint and countryfied. Sonny gave us several ideas for places to eat nearby. We appreciated his advice and were delighted with our choice!

  • Sonny & Amanda were wonderful hosts. While they were out for the weekend, they were both very informative and responsive via text to make sure we got in all right and that we were all set. The place itself was fantastic. Clean, well decorated, private, and cozy. My girlfriend and I had planned a quiet retreat out of NYC and our accommodations were a major factor in allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves. I Fully recommend booking a night here if you are looking for a place in the area.

  • We drove to the Kingston area from the Mohawk Valley without much research and having made no reservations. We stumbled upon Sonny & Amanda's Air B&B listing at 4:00pm. They accepted our request & had their beautiful 2nd floor suite ready for us by 6:00pm, even though Sonny was quite ill. We were hoping for a quiet woodsy retreat where we could unwind for a few days. Sonny and Amanda's wonderful home gave us exactly that. We look forward to returning there next time we visit the area. We will definitely recommend this jewel to our friends.

Nestled in the Stone Ridge Historic District within walking distance to bakery, library, stores and restaurants, this apartment has a rear entrance from the back parking lot or a separate front entrance tucked to the side on Main Street. This is the downstairs apartment with private bath, 1 bedroom with full size bed, a living room with sofa bed and dining room with access to porch and kitchenette with entryway closet. The home is right on the main road so you will hear traffic going by.
Comforting space with full size bed in the private bedroom, private bathroom, kitchenette and sleeper sofa in the living room. Five rooms total. Host is available to you, if necessary, in neighboring apartment/office space. Please be aware that, though the apartment is your private space, the rest of the building is shared and on a main road so you will hear footsteps, washing machine, road noise, etc.
The historic hamlet of Stone Ridge has a population of about 2,000 people. Stone Ridge's Main Street is Route 209, and you'll find stone structures and gorgeous farmhouses, many built in the 18th and 19th centuries, along your drive through town. Route 209 runs north to Kingston (about a 20 minute drive) and South to Ellenville (about 25 minutes), and it also intersects with Route 213 right in the center of town. Stone Ridge is just 20 minutes to exit 18 on the Route 87 thruway. The hamlet, which is part of the larger town of Marbletown, is in the Hudson Valley, with lots of farmland and orchards nearby (check out Stone Ridge Orchard in the fall for pick your own apples), but the Catskills, the Ashokan Reservoir, and the Shawangunks are just a few minutes away. The car-traffic-free Marbletown C & O Rail Trail and Wallkill Valley Rail Trail both intersect with Route 213, just a few minutes from Main Street, and are popular with families, cyclists, and dog walkers. Locals shop on route 209 at Emmanuel's Market for groceries and household basics, and the local farmstand Davenport Farms offers the best local produce, meats, baked goods. There's also the locally owned Marbletown Hardware (the World's Only Rock and Roll Hardware Store, complete with mini museum) right in town. The Marbletown Community Center is located in Stone Ridge and offers adult exercise classes, camps and activities for kids, and hosts many community meetings. The last few years have seen the introduction of several new restaurants to Stone Ridge as well as the continued flourishing of old favorites. The Hasbrouck House, built in 1757, was recently reopened as a luxury inn and dining destination with its restaurant Butterfield. Asia serves contemporary pan-Asian food while Momiji offers sushi and a Japanese grill. Lekker is a new spot that serves breakfast, brunch, and lunch all day, and The Roost is a consistent favorite that does lunch and dinner.
  • it was a nice place, clean and comfortable. would have like a TV in the bed room.

  • Deborah was very welcoming an available to answer any questions! The apartment was absolutely beautiful! The town is quaint and all necessities within walking distance. We did not have time to check out restaurants,, but found plnety to do. I would love to come and stay again and explore the area more! I booked the place for a mother/daughter weekend and as a night nurse in much need of rest it was a heavenly stay. I enjoyed a good portion of my time just reading and relaxing! The beds were comfy and all was fresh and clean!

  • The flowers were lovely touch.

  • Great little apartment, easy to find on the main Street and conveniently located mid way to all of the nearby sights to visit.

  • Deborah was awesome! I traveled with my two young children, and she was welcoming, yet not intrusive. The backyard hammock was a hit! The apartment is BEAUtiful! Decorated gorgeously. It is situated on a busy street, but Stone Ridge is a lovely town. I will definitely be coming back!

    Jessie2016-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Deborah's! Place was clean and big. Very comfortable and in a great area at Stone Ridge. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

    Raquel2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious and great natural light fills the apartment. It has a very cozy feel and everything was so well appointed. I would recommend this place to everyone and stay in there in the future if the opportunity arises. We were very busy with a wedding and would leave in the morning and be gone until the evening. The bed was very cozy and Deborah was a great host.

    Alan2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah and her apartment are both wonderful! I spent a fantastic week there with my baby and babysitter (on the fold out couch), and we were all very comfortable. The bedroom faces Main Street and there is some street noise (didn't bother me at all, but light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs). The apartment is large and nicely decorated (farm house chic), and the kitchenette is quite well stocked for cooking. The location is very convenient to Stone Ridge, Rosendale, etc, and next door to a tasty bagel cafe. Deborah was very responsive and helpful, while also giving us plenty of privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here and will book here again next time I'm in town.

Our modern barn conversion is the perfect 4 season retreat in the Hudson Valley. Just 2 hours from NYC, our home is set on 3 acres of woodland and surrounded by protected forest and nature preserves. Close to Woodstock, Saugerties, New Paltz, Stone Ridge, and endless outdoor activities. You will enter our property through a 6 foot privacy gate built to keep the deer out and the dogs in. The circular gravel drive way has plenty of parking space for up to 6 cars. The 19th century carved wood doors salvaged from a prison in Southern France lead to our beautifully renovated barn with hand hewn timbers and wide-plank pine floors. A spiral staircase leads to the bright and airy top floor where you'll find living, dining and kitchen areas with mountain views and exposed beams. The kitchen is equipped with cooking essentials and ample space to prepare meals on the soapstone counters and stainless steel island. The open floor plan leads to the living and dining rooms furnished with a mix of modern and vintage pieces. The centerpiece of the living room is the wood burning fireplace built with fieldstone harvested from the property. A spacious deck is just off the living room with comfortable seating and a propane grill. There is a full bath upstairs with soapstone counters and Carrara marble. The unique upside down layout of our home keeps the 3 bedrooms on the main floor cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. The first bedroom has a queen size bed. The second bedroom has a full bed. The third bedroom has a comfortable queen size sleeper sofa with access to the patio. We also have a pack and play for the little ones. The large, first floor full bath has a full size tub and beautiful Carrara marble. The backyard has a large bluestone patio with an outdoor dining table and lounge chairs. The original barn door slides open to reveal an outdoor dart board and the old outhouse holds more yard games. The fire pit in the back yard was built with fieldstone harvested from the property.
  • Great stay, beautiful home! We loved the place and all agreed we could not have picked a better place for a short weekend away. A resounding "awesome" from all of us, all weekend long!

  • We loved Erik & Cristin's place. The woods are beautiful and the house is gorgeous. Erik & Cristin's style is perfectly clean and simple. It's certainly on the expensive side, but we had zero hassles and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

    Margaret2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Erik & Cristin's place is fabulous, the perfect little weekend getaway from the city. It is stylishly decorated throughout and still has the feel of being an old red barn. Beautiful location with a big backyard that was great to enjoy, even in the winter. Super comfy beds and great kitchen with all your needs for a wide variety of cooking. Cristin was quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with.Highly recommend.

    Emily2017-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences I have had. Everything about this cabin was on point. It was beautifully designed with high quality finishes. It was also very clean and polished which you wouldn't expect in a cabin. The location was perfect. Private and secluded but close enough to the necessities like grocery stores and restaurants. Erik and Cristin were very communicative and available if needed. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Catskills.

    Elaine2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great visit to Erik & Cristin's. It was clean, cozy and well decorated. Just as advertised. It was secluded with a great yard. The perfect place for a small family getaway. We enjoyed exploring Kingston and hiking in Mohonk Preserve. Thanks Erik and Cristin!

    John2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway. Really comfortable and chic house. Great kitchen, and tons of outdoor space. Thanks!

    Glenn2017-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The house is gorgeous. The property is beautiful. Erik and Christin are wonderful hosts. The home is impeccably maintained and clean as a whistle. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Catskills.

    Emily2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Erik & Cristin's barn is a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary in an utterly gorgeous part of NY State. It's even more beautiful than the photographs, spacious, full of light and in the main everything is created from natural materials which makes for a really relaxing environment (the incredibly comfortable sofa and memory foam mattress helped with that too :) You can tell that the hosts really love this house, from personal touches everywhere to the quality of the furniture - I'm not surprised that it's their dream home. Gaining access was easy and Cristin was super responsive to any questions that we had throughout our stay, as well as providing a really comprehensive house manual with lots of great recommendations in advance. We really enjoyed visiting Minnewaska's stunning lake and the Mohonk Mountain House is a must see if you stay here. We also loved Rosendale for mooching and Woodstock was great fun too. If you are considering a visit and want a stunning place to stay, do not hesitate to book - we'll definitely be back.

One bedroom apt (and one living room with sofa bed) in a Relaxed and Charming 1905 Victorian house, steps to everything in village. Not fancy but has it's period charms and steps to coffee, bookstores, chocolate, best lunch spots in town. 1 bedroom, 1 lv. with comfy fold out sofa. fantastic location. No car necessary.
Sorry my pics are not fantastic. Cozy, relaxed place though, not Fancy, no hassle kind of place. Upgrades planned shortly for summer. Full kitchen, 1 private bedroom and living room with fold out sofa. D/W, TV with Internet only.
Great, great location, great village. EVerything!!!! Like a northern California town in the heart of the Hudson Valley. walking to everything.
  • Nice place right in the heart of town. Convenient to everything (i.e. trails, climbing, restaurants, pubs, etc.). Check-in was great. Christian was very friendly and helpful.

    Jason2017-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is in need of some TLC. It's serviceable, and in a central location, but that's about all I'd say.

    Alan2016-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • The reservation was canceled 28 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    John2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Christian was a very warm, helpful, and flexible host. He helped me out with information about the local area, and was fine about a last-minute booking. I would recommend Christian to anyone who wants a low-key, good value stay right in the heart of New Paltz, walking distance to everything – and with the option of really interesting conversation!

    Mary2014-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Christian definitely described the listing accurately. He answered any questions we had, and was available to contact during our stay. There couldn't be a better location, it was awesome to be within walking distance to everything the town offers. The parking space was also a plus.

    Laura2016-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Christians. He's in the center of everything. Had a great dinner, wonderful organic coffee for breakfast , and did alittle shopping within walking distance. Christian was so nice. He knows the area well. He's super personable, and treated my dog like his own. It was a great experience, and i highly recommend it.

    Kristi2014-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Christian was a great host, he was very accessible by phone and the place was accurate as described. The house is in a fantastic location with a local feel. I would stay again!

    Nicholas2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was cozy and clean and everything we were looking for. It's literally a hop sketch and a jump and you're in the middle of town. Christian was very welcoming. Great stay.

My place is close to New Paltz town, Rosendale town, Shawangunk Mountains, Minnewaska, Wallkill River. You will love The Cottage because it is just so charming. You can rest and relax in pure tranquility. The Guest Cottage is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
There's an awesome sleeping loft and joule heating stove!
We are located 4.4 miles outside of town. On your way from town to our place your eyes will pass breath taking Shawangunk Ridge views, peeps of the Wallkill river, a horse farm, cows, goats, pigs, chickens and you might even see a farmer on a tractor! It is like being a world away.
  • Lovely spot and gorgeous little cottage, fully stocked fridge and a bottle of wine for arrival, as well as baked goods. What more can you ask!

  • Awesome place to get away! Super beautiful!

    Sara2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in the cottage. It was cute, quiet, and cozy - and in the perfect location. We explored the nearby hiking trails, swimming holes, U-Pick farms, and downtown New Paltz - all of which were just a short drive away. And having the Rail Trail literally across the street was ideal for taking an early morning run.

  • We had a wonderful and peaceful trip at Victoria's home. They were accommodating and the home was lovely. It was the perfect little getaway

    Natalie2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was picturesque and cozy! Victoria and Brian were wonderful hosts-they went above and beyond and were easy to communicate with. Freshly baked vegan bread, hard cider and fresh flowers were waiting for us when we arrived at the cottage. Close to town, clean and everything that you would need (i.e. clean towels, dishes, toilet paper). If you're looking for a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the perfect place! Can't wait to go back :) THANK YOU Victoria and Brian!

    The Cottage

Semi-private studio cottage is airy and cozy. Sleeps 1- 2 comfortably on memory-foam mattress. The bathtub has a picture window looking into the woods! Full kitchen. Get away from city bustle and experience the serenity of nature. Close to Woodstock, Ashokan Reservoir & Center, & great hiking trails.
The cottage is a studio with a full kitchen and large bathroom. The main room has a queen bed and extra seating. The kitchen has a gas stove and all you will need for regular meals (meaning: no bakeware or stock pots). The tub has a picture window looking over the seasonal creek into the woods. Baths, instead of showers, are highly recommended. There is no wifi. Unplug and tune-in.
This neighborhood rocks! Our neighbors are friendly and helpful. Guests may walk less than a mile to our local farm, Ingram's Farm. There you may watch horses, cows, pigs, chickens, & farmers (please do not feed or play with animals). You might want to purchase eggs & selected meats. Another direction leads you to a small creek. The views while walking our road are stupendous---blue sky, mountains, trees, & more sky!
  • Enchanted by this little nook's warm cozy covers and sweet old books. Led by winter fairies to a place that overlooks misty forest mountains and bright bubbling brooks. We came and went, but will always remember those few magical days in late November.

    Nessa2015-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was a good experience. The cottage was private, cozy and set in a woodsy area near trails, hiking and the appeal of the Catskills. Would recommend.

    James2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was comfortable & locale quite beautiful. We enjoyed meeting the host who was gracious in providing anything we needed. The only problem was the mosquitoes. Perhaps, a screen door would help keep the bugs out.

    Paula2015-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a romantic getaway. I love the decor and the pastel colors. The space is set back from the road, so it feels like a real retreat. Katrina was out of town, but still very communicative. I'd come back again for sure

    Samantha2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute little place with a nice seating area outside. Katrina is so friendly and great to chat with! Beautiful area, as well.

    Diane2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Katrina's cottage was a wonderful place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful, but also very comfortable. We will be staying there again!

    bob2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Katrina was such a kind host! I checked in late because I went hiking earlier, she thought I died haha. I'm glad she cared. The cabin is a wonderful place for one or two people to mellow out and relax. The bed is extremely comfortable! And the kitchen is fully functioning and clean. The bath really does have a beautiful view. I hiked for 2 days and she had bath salts so I used then after each hike. It was great. I couldn't ask for anything more. All I wanted was simple and this really did provide that. She didn't bother me and I didn't bother her. And she kept clear communication via text. Would def come again with a friend. :)
