“You could have a nice view of surrounding of Tamparuli town on Tamparuli Suspension Bridge, like the photo above. The highest point is Ruhiang Hill, a spot for paragliding during weekends. Mt. Kinabalu, the highest mountain of Malaysia, would show her face in good weather. On every Wednesday, there is a tamu (weekly open market, as described by the song) at the right too.”

“Kiulu River is a great river for beginners, both elderly and kids may join this trip thus makes it suitable for a family trip. Trip begins with a safety briefing session conducted by our professional raft guide that will demonstrates rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before rafting commences. Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo, It may covers 7km on medium water level. The journey will take about 1 ½ - 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where delicious barbecue lunch prepared just by the riverbank.”

“Wednesdays are where locals from around the hills district converge at the weekly fresh market just next to the famous Tamparuli Suspension Bridge, vendors arrive as early as 5.30am to sell their produce and catch up with their friends. It is a vibrant and very social atmosphere, fantastic for people watching and of course pick up some farm fresh groceries”

“Tamparuli is home of our local signature noodle dish Tuaran Mee, it is a must try, if you prefer not have roast pork toppings, just tell the waiter to replace with chicken or veggies. They have other home made breakfast specialties too like chicken feet and steamed pork ribs, must get there super early like 6am!”
