Hébergements dans Teslin

Hébergements dans Teslin
A secluded & very private 2 bedroom rustic log cabin sleeps 6, heated by wood stove, located at Km 1296 on the Alaska Highway, with direct access to the Teslin River. Our cozy cabin is 1.5 hrs south of Whitehorse, Yukon. A popular tundra and trumpeter swan migrating stop, with lots of hiking and wildlife photography opportunities. The South Canol Road is nearby where you may explore historic army vehicles at the highway junction. Truly, an amazing, romantic, quiet little cabin in the woods.
Our cabin has electricity but no running water. It is delivered fresh daily. An antique wood cookstove is available for hot meals, along with hot plate & a microwave oven. An outdoor privy toilet services the cabin, and it is located outside. We are a PET FRIENDLY establishment, and there is NO CHARGE for them. A short walk finds you beneath the bridge where you can spot beaver, otter, trumpeter swans, ducks, and geese. A great spot to try your luck at some fishing! Across the bridge you will find vintage army vehicles, information signs, and a nice rest area. Hot showers, wifi and delicious meals are available a short 30 minute drive to the south at the Yukon Motel in Teslin. Here, you will also find a great wildlife museum, and gift shop. Groceries, snacks, unique gifts & supplies are available at the Nisutlin Trading Post. A little store with a bit of everything. Nearby in the village of Teslin you can explore our history at the Tlingit Heritage Centre & the Teslin Historical Museum.
This is a rural setting with the village of Teslin a mere 30 minutes south of you, and the capital city of Yukon, Whitehorse, is 1.5 hours to the north. This is the perfect spot to escape from the world for a few days. Come see migrating tundra & trumpeter swans which arrive daily in spring ~ NOW is the time to see them! They fly right over this cozy little cabin, and during the evening, you can hear them honking through the night. We have a nice covered front porch with two adirondack chairs for some front porch sitting. It's an extra special treat when the northern lights are out, and the swans are honking greetings to each other. Come for a once in a life-time experience in a place with lots of history and character!!
