“EVERYBODY needs to go to the Sandbar - it's simply the best. Good food, great hang-out bar and so much love. Tania is truly the hostess with the mostess. One time, we were coming back from the morning dive, feeling like some lunch before going out again. Our then teenaged son dived off the boat, swam in, and ordered us lunch. By the time the boat was moored and we'd walked up Duke Street, our burgers were ready. Doesn't get any better than that!”

“The lighthouse was brought in pieces from the UK where it had been constructed in 1852. It has been restored and still works guarding the northern tip of Grand Turk, the capital island of the Turks and Caicos. The lighthouse and lighthouse keeper's house is a prized historic site and is protected by the National Trust.”

“Get a massage on the beach. Shop at tons of stores for beautiful art, clothes, gifts, dine at Jimmy Buffet's Restaurant, and more. When you are done, swim at the beach or the biggest pool of any Cruise Port. Before you leave, don't forget to visit the Casino and try your luck.”

“Open only when the cruise ships are in port. Fun to visit at least once. Home of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville with a big swim -up bar. Be sure to check out the exhibit about astronaut John Glenn, who splashed down off in his Mercury space capsule Friendship 7 off of Grand Turk in 1962. Best shop? The Dizzy Donkey, hands down. ”

“Located on the southern coast of the island of Grand Turk, this beach offers great swimming, fun waves and long beach walks. You will generally find the beach to be rather roomy, as the beach and its surrounding region is not extremely crowded. ”

“If you have the opportunity to book an excursion to this uninhabited island through the local dive shops, then it's worth the trip! You can see stingrays amongst other fish without having to swim far from the beach. You can also go for a hike atop the hill which offers great ocean views. On the other side it was interesting to see the thousands of small snails and hermit crabs along the rocky shore.”
