“The Minnesota State Fair is a must-visit in Minnesota! We have one of the largest state fairs in the country. I personally spend about 8 to 12 hours while I am there! You can go alone, with family, and with friends!”

“Local microbrewery with great beer and great food too. Not as famous as Surly but (in my opinion) better, more intimate surrounding. ”

“Great place to have a beer, hang with friends, and let your kids play. They play cartoons on the TVs when there's not a big sporting event going on, and a corner designated for kids with toys. Huge outdoor patio and area for kids to run around as well. We bring our son's balance bike, and he rides around while we sit and enjoy a beer or two. Food truck is usually available as well.”

“This place has a cult following. Look for On herself, often seen in the open kitchen with her signature knit hat. The service here is notoriously pesky (be patient, it's worth it). If the food is too hot for you, they usually blame you for ordering it that way. :)”

“Don't be fooled by the convenience store facade! This store has a butcher shop, a great selection of cheeses, breads and produce. How can they fit so many delightful and obscure products into this store? And bargains too. I find myself there almost every day.”

“Bang is Ian's favorite local brewery. They make a top notch product. A tiny operation, Bang occupies just one converted grain silo in an industrial neighborhood of St Paul. Their outdoor seating is cozy and ample, and they always have a food truck or two pulled up outside. This place is a stark contrast to the larger, more commercialized local breweries like Surly. And that is the best part about it. ”
