Logements à Weymouth
A recently completed contemporary 'woodhouse'. Finished in a beautiful Scandi Chic decor that simply makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Polished concrete floors, fully fitted high-end kitchen and spectacular views. Set in the heart of a rural property and surrounded by horses grazing and rolling Dorset countryside. Fantastic location but only 10 minutes drive to the picturesque harbour town of Weymouth - with beaches, cafes, bars and restaurants. The perfect retreat? Quite possibly
The Woodhouse has been designed with one thing in mind, making guests feel relaxed or entertained - whichever they choose. The spec is high end but not pretentious. It comes with fully fitted kitchen including sink, 4 ring hob, extractor, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and dishwasher. The Woodhouse comes with polished concrete floors, high grade ply walls and Scaninavian themed furniture. The space also includes smart tv (with only internet services), fibre optic broadband, premium woodburning stove, large outdoor decked area, beautiful outdoor wood fired pizza oven/heater, outdoor dining area for 6 with parasol, and 6 seater hot tub with bluetooth speakers, mood lighting and of course, spectacular views.
The Woodhouse is set in the heart of a rural property just outside the village of Chickerell and is in a World Heritage Site AND Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's location is superb due to its rural outlook, but close proximity to Weymouth - a picturesque fishing town. Weymouth has bars, restaurants, cafe's, award winning beach and a huge variety of tourist attractions for adults and children. In the opposite direction is the Jurassic coast. Here you will find quaint villages and more epic scenery.
  • Stephen & Steph are excellent hosts. Their Scandi cabin is stylish and ultra clean with a relaxed and peaceful feel to it. The hot tub is wonderfully sited with a beautiful view across the Dorset countryside. The bed was really comfortable and we had a perfect weekend there.

  • If you like modern, industrial places to stay then this is the place for you! Stephen met as us we arrived and showed us around, explained how things work including the hot tub! Place felt new, clean and warm and having brought our two dogs we didn't feel stressed about damaging the floor/carpet as it's a lovely polished concrete floor. The place is busy in the day as it's a working livery but at night is super quiet and peaceful, perfect for using the hot tub in the back. No complaints really other than there's only a combi-microwave and not a full oven which might get annoying if you're staying for a while. After a day of walking around Weymouth was lovely to get back and get in that hot tub. Really nicely designed and thought out and a perfect place to base yourself to explore the region. And we got some freshly laid eggs to take away with us too! Will definitely stay again!

  • Fantastic place, not a bad word to say!

  • Nice cottage, the view from the jacuzzi was the best, especially in the evening!

  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay at The Woodhouse. We were let down by another host the day before our trip, luckily The Woodhouse was available and turned out the be the better choice anyway! Stephen responded very quickly as we were rushing around the night before our planned trip trying to find somewhere nice to stay that would allow us to bring our dog along, Stephen's place was perfect! We were particularly looking for a place that had a hot tub and I must say that it did not disappoint. The hot tub is wonderful and you get a lovely view overlooking the Chickerell countryside whilst relaxing in the bubbles! Speaking of bubbles, Stephen had very kindly left us a complimentary small bottle of prosecco and some free range eggs from his farm, both unexpected and both very nice. The outside temperature was very low when we visited and so after enjoying the hot tub it was very nice to come inside to a very warm living room and a roaring fire. Stephen gave us detailed instructions on how to get the best out of the wood burner and we used it both nights during our stay. The house was very clean and well kept. The shower was very nice and has a rain shower head as well as a regular shower head. Stephen had plenty of information about the local area and recommended places where we could take our dog for a walk. The house is located a short drive outside of Weymouth town centre and therefore was easy to get to/from the local tourist attractions. We had a lovely time during our stay and look forward to visiting again in future.

  • The Woodhouse is awesome! Clean, modern and in a great location. The kitchen facilities were great with the added bonus of an outdoor pizza oven. The house itself was nice and warm, made even more cozy with the log burner. With beautiful views overlooking the hills, the jacuzzi, with its built in Bluetooth speakers, was the number 1 place to chill out. Stephen was a great host, giving us a full run through of the Woodhouse when we 1st arrived and responding to all queries promptly. The Woodhouse is the perfect place for a quiet get away and as a base camp to explore Dorset, highly recommended!

  • The woodhouse is lovely. We had a great weekend going out for walks in the day and sitting in the hot tub in the evening. Will definitely be looking to stay again

  • We absolutely loved the pod, everything we needed was supplied and it was in a beautiful area. Alan and Jayne were lovely hosts, very responsive and helpful.

    Hannah2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful relaxing retreat. Loved glamping in the pod and exploring the local area. We will be back!

    Laura Jane2017-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Alan was there to greet us and immediately made us feel welcome and at home. The glamping pod is super-cosy, especially with it's brand new insulation layer, and the small radiators are very efficient. We only stayed one night, and didn't need to cook, but the place is extremely well kitted out if you want glamp 'properly'. I'm sorry we didn't have a chance to light a fire - but that too is laid on with plenty of firewood available. The shower/toilet 'block' is an inspiration - won't spoil the surprise but never seen a XXXX used for this purpose!

    George2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Ed2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was all as expected. We arrived late but it was so cute, this little cottage and even it was little there was all we needed. It was very clean and we felt so well there. Sadly we spent just one night there, we came late and left in the morning so we did'nt cook or light a fire. I can imagine that it's really beautiful there in the evening, sitting outside and have a fire. We absolutely would come back for several nights.

    Anita2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • The pod was lovely as were it's surroundings. Alan was friendly and lenient (family problems kept us from arriving when we said we would! All in all great experience! Would come again.

Please check out the reviews for our beautiful light & comfortable Grade 11 listed Farmhouse in extensive grounds on a family estate in the heart of Thomas Hardy country. Acres of garden including the safe south-facing enclosed area with bbq, & limitless parking. Traditional farmhouse kitchen with Aga, 3 large reception rooms with wood burners. Beautiful walks, 15 mins from Jurassic coast. Loads to do in the area, footpaths and forest. Baby, child, & seniors friendly. Good dogs are also welcome!
Our beautiful traditional Dorset farmhouse, comfortably sleeps 14, (plus babies under 2) and is set in large grounds, surrounded by rolling countryside. Located in the heart of Hardy Country and 15-20 minutes from the sea, it's the perfect location for a fabulous family celebration or holiday. England's first natural World Heritage Site; The Jurassic Coast, with its huge range of interesting beaches, is less than 20 minutes away. Bring your mountain bikes to follow the Puddletown Forest trails, half a mile from the house. Enjoy BBQ and cream-teas in the garden or hire a private chef to cook for you in our large country-style kitchen, complete with Aga. Dine in style at the Charles II table in the warm turquoise dining room, with portraits of our eccentric ancestors! Indoors there's a library of contemporary reference, fiction, & DVDs, good wifi, a mini SNOOKER table, and a chest full of board games, Twister, jigsaws & chess. On chilly nights light the wood-burners in both the large sitting rooms, and snuggle down into our comfy, cosy sofas. Or use our collection of sheet music to play the piano, and recorder, and have a sing-song!
The Farmhouse is set in open countryside in its own grounds, far from the minor road, with three cottages some 300 yards away. It is one mile's walk (or two miles' drive) to Puddletown, which has an excellent gastropub The Blue Vinney (with playground), a Doctor's surgery, a vet, lovely church, a new eco-friendly village playground and tennis court and excellent butcher/post office/general store. Dorchester (6 miles) has Tesco, Waitrose, M&S and the usual range of shops as well as several rainy day attractions for the kids.
  • There were many positives to our stay: - great communication at the start from Caroline who quickly sent us info and responded to questions about check in etc - the house is large with really good sized rooms and beds - good location, nice part of the UK There were a few things which we thought could make it even better; - some parts of the property are a tad tired. This might just be a personal taste thing but for the (high) price we expected a slightly more polished presentation. For example, some of the lights didn't work, boiler needed re-igniting a few times, front door is hard to close, some of the furniture bit tired. I suppose nothing major and if it is was cheaper, probably wouldn't raise them but the price set our expectations high! - top 2 bedrooms are not quite as nicely done as the others - the approach road was full of huge pot holes which made driving the last 100ms really quite difficult - the grass in the gardens was pretty long. If it had been cut, we might have used it more which was a shame We don't want to be overly negative! We had a thoroughly good time and I readily note most of the reviews are v positive, so maybe it's just us! Thanks

  • We had an absolutely magical weekend, the house is spectacular, the grounds are delightful and the host supremely helpful. Everything you could wish for is there and the facilities are superb, well thought out and appropriate for the number of people the house can accommodate. It's in a great location and easy to find. We hope to return!

  • Its a beautiful, characterful house in a wonderful peaceful rural location not far from some lovely villages, market towns and the coast. The house is well appointed, spacious, traditional, warm and cosy.

  • Gorgeous old home with light, spacious rooms and interesting places in the area to visit. Highly recommended!

  • The house is fantastic and very well kept with a very interesting history. We all had a lovely time staying there. All the bedrooms were equally comfortable with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Katy and Caroline were the perfect hosts and very helpful, kindly posting my mum's laptop charger (which she left behind) back to her, after our trip. Couldn't recommend a better place to stay!

    Daisy2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Grand, homely and far more accessible than it appears. Friends and I went down for the weekend and loved it. Two thumbs up.

This gorgeous large studio apartment with separate entrance is contained within an historic Georgian house, minutes from the ocean. Peace and quiet are ensured by a large well tended front garden with off street parking. The accommodation has a spacious private patio, giving way to an established secluded garden. The apartment boasts a stylish fully fitted kitchen and leather Chesterfield sofa, chairs and a large comfy bed .
The Apartment is light and airy in the spring and summer months and warm and cosy in the fall and winter, with storage heating and a wood burning stove.

  • Roy & Kim's hut was a lovely, clean and comfortable place to spend the night. Great amenities and fantastic location. Would recommend to anyone!

    Chloe2018-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place - we stayed here for two nights whilst exploring Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Fantastic location to both - a ten minute walk down the road to Lulworth Cove and a thirty/forty minute walk to Durdle Door. Very cosy and clean space with some nice touches! Kim & Roy were very friendly, gave good local advice about where to visit and eat. Only negative is the proximity to Kim & Roy’s house. From the photos it looks like this hut is in its own field but it is at the end of their garden, very close to their house. This wasn’t an issue but it also wasn’t what we were expecting. Overall, would recommend!

    Adam2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. We chose Roy's retreat mainly due to the location as we were really keen to stay near Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and the price as we were on a budget. We were pleasantly surprised by how private, comfortable and cosy the space is. The hut has everything that you need with some lovely homely touches and information about the local area. The shower room is clean and warm doubles and up as a kitchen with everything that you need for meals from the BBQ which we made good use of. Kim and Roy are lovely and we really enjoyed spending some time chatting to them. They have raised their children in the area and have a lot of tips on where to go and how to stay safe around the cliffs and the water! We are wild swimming adventurers so we particularly enjoyed Lulworth Cove, Stair Hole and Durdle Door. Also nearby are some lovely quiet beaches and the famous Dancing Ledge which are all within 30 minutes drive. Massive tick on location, massive tick on facilities and the biggest ever tick on welcoming and engaging hosts. We can't wait to come back!

    Rachel2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is wonderfully, quaint and romantic. Kim was extremely helpful and the local area is beautiful.

  • Roy's Retreat!- Such a special stay in your own little Shepards hut. It was warm and peaceful with all the necessities like power sockets and a tea station. Great location to the Jurassic coast and Durdle Door. Thank you!

  • As soon as we arrived, we felt like at home. The cottage is really lovely. Outside in the beautiful garden with the view on the sheeps and horses, like inside with the chimney for us and the nice bedroom with the view on the garden. We have been welcome by the dog and then by Jackie who has been so nice the whole journey. Everything is done to feel well. The bedroom and bathroom are really clean which is very important. The breakfast was really good with nice and tasty products. Jackie recommended us a walk to discover abbotsbury and the area, and we didn't regret it, it has been lovely. The local pub is really nice as well. So everything has been really nice. Jackie, again many thanks for these nice moments.

  • We had the most wonderful time at Abbotsbury cottage ! Nothing was too much trouble for Jackie ! Everything from the accomodation to the food and location was superb ! We will be recommending Abbotsbury cottage to family and friends in South Australia ! Thank you so much again !

    Catherine2015-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Jackie was fabulous! The little town of Abbotsbury is quaint and picturesque -- a lovely place to stop and relax along your way, and Jackie is a host extraordinaire! On our way to Abbotsbury our internet access was sketchy so we did not keep Jackie as well informed as we would have liked, and we arrived later than we expected. But there, on the gate, was a marker to help us find our way in the dark, and even though it was 11pm, Jackie came out in the rain to help us park and unload. Because we are dog lovers we met Jackie's wonderful dogs, including her adorable puppy Truffle, and then were shown up to our "suite" which has its own stairs to a separate part of the house. It was just as described, the pretty bedroom is light, the bed is very comfortable and the lovely new bathroom has a soaking tub as well as a shower. Jackie is very organized - we picked a time and our breakfast selection which included freshly cooked porridge or choices of eggs. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and matched in quality by our wide-ranging and informative conversation with Jackie and her husband. We left reluctantly, feeling as happy and refreshed as if we had just stayed over with friends. This little spot is not to be missed -- it offers the perfect blend of support, warmth and privacy with you, the guest, setting the mix.

  • Jackie's place is lovely because you can visit the Jurassic coast and get excellent advice on how to search for Fossils. The friendliness and kindness of Jackie and her family is also awesome ;-) we will try to get back one day!

  • WE COULD NOT HAVE WISHED FOR A BETTER HOST AND ACCOMMODATION. JACKIE IS JUST SO LOVELY AND EAGER TO MAKE SURE THE HOLIDAY IS MEMORABLE. THE COTTAGE MET ALL OUR EXPECTATIONS (AND MORE). THE AREA IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE WEATHER WAS PERFECT. THANKS TO JACQUIE AND FAMILY AND BEST WISHES FOR A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

  • We much enjoyed our short stay in Dizzi's vintage bus - it was the perfect base for us and was clean and comfortable - like glamourous camping! The wood burning stove kept us lovely and warm on a chilly April night and morning and use of candles and no TV made a pleasant and quiet change - the girls loved it! Would certainly stay again if down in Dorset for another BE event. Would recommend to anyone that wanted to have a more comfortable 'camping experience' rather than under canvass !

    Mark2015-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Beautiful setting, fun space, open green play area for kids.. All the key basics provided even baked beans which made our daughter very happy. Really lovely weekend. Thank you.

    Miray2016-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • The bus is cosy and cute with lots of lovely finishing touches. On a cold night, if you get the fire in the wood burning stove just right, the bus stays toasty warm all night. I had plans to explore the countryside but my son didn't want to leave the garden and the friends he made there. We had a wonderful break and I highly recommend. Thanks Dizzi!

    Michelle2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place! Cosy and comfortable bus ,neighborhood surrounded by nature and countryside, fresh air, and very friendly and helpful people, what else do we need to spend lovely time? :)

    Weronika2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Magic Bus was exactly what we'd hoped it would be - great quirky vintage fun in a beautiful location! The beds were really comfortable. The children loved the bunk beds (the 5yo was particularly delighted that the 10yo couldn't fit in the top bunk (ceiling is very low)) and both of them slept really well in lovely fluffy fresh bed linen. The double bed area was much more generous than we expected; plenty of room, tucked in at the end of the bus. The log-burning stove kept the place lovely and warm and, with the good supply of candles (there is solar power lighting as well), made it a very cosy place to hunker down on a chilly evening. Our host, Dizzi (Rebecca), was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The children needed little encouragement to explore the lovely adventure garden (several times). We didn't cook on this first visit, but everything was there that we needed if we'd wanted to. Tea and really lovely coffee was provided. Note that the bathroom is quite a walk from the bus, but the path is very clear and a good torch is provided. When we were there, there were also two other sets of guests in the grounds who shared the bathroom. We arrived on a Sunday forgetting about Sunday hours. Next time we would definitely avail ourselves of the offer of provisions from the nearby farm shop that Dizzi highlights in the main details. All in all, we loved it and will definitely go back. Lots of fun.

  • We had 3 great days staying on the bus and exploring the local area. Our two kids (4 and 2) absolutely loved the garden. Highly recommended!!

Perfect View Apartment is in the centre of Weymouth. The apartment has a panoramic view of the golden beach. Within a few minutes walk to the train station and bus stops. This comfortable space has recently been refurbished and comprises of a living room and en-suite bedroom. Unfortunately at the moment there is no cooking facilities. Please note the apartment is on the second floor of the building. Guests with limited walking ability will potentially struggle with the stairs.

  • Amazing view apartment was lovely spacious and bed was super comfortable.

  • Great location, very suitable for a short stay in Weymouth.

    Ed2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little stay. Flat is above the cafe they own. The TV didn’t work as it needed an update which wasn’t doable at the time we stayed and John suggested we get a couple of dvds which he would reimburse which was very accommodating as thoughtful. Would recommend getting a small bin as there wasn’t one and maybe a hair dryer. I would also suggest a little tea/ coffee package as there were facilities to make these with but when only staying a night or two, you don’t really want to buy a full pack of tea bags. The view was lovely though from the window seat.

    Jodie2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Superb location. The apartment was ideal for myself and my 8year old nephew on our first trip away. I expected there to be parking included. It cost me about £50 to park for 3 days in the recommended parking area (free overnight). The flat is at the top of 2 flights of narrow, windy stairs, beware heavy luggage. No real opportunity to cook. I took paper plates and cups and plastic spoons so my nephew could have cereal. Otherwise we ate out. We had a perfect view of the carnival procession below our window and the fireworks, straight across the bay. An easy walk from the beach, town and harbour. Sealife centre and sand world are a short drive away.

    Sam2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t lie, it really does look out onto the sea. Light spacious apartment, modern bathroom and within easy walking distance to the town.

    Hannah2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fabulous stay at Perfect View. Views from the living room were stunning (even better than the photos reflect). We spent most of our time in the window seat watching the sea when we weren't off exploring the area. Flat was clean and felt calm and refreshing after a long day! Superb location, right in the centre of town. We thought parking may be a problem but John advised us on free parking, a nice walk along the esplanade away. A wonderful stay.

The Stable Barn is a comfortable, centrally heated cottage with split level interior and sculptured mezzanine. It provides extremely spacious open-plan accommodation for two. To the rear of the barn is a partly walled garden laid to lawn and gravel with clipped hedges and shrubs.
If you want something different The Stable Barn will not disappoint.
The cottage surroundings are rural and peaceful whilst having easy access to the main road network. The location is central for exploring Dorset and the 95 miles of stunningly beautiful Jurassic Coast which is a World Heritage Site. Monkey World, The Tank Museum, Lulworth Cove and Castle, sandy beaches and coastal footpaths are nearby. Studland - 15 miles - sandy beach, Swanage - 15 miles - sandy beach, Arne - 11 miles - nature reserve, Kimmeridge - 6 miles, Tyneham - 5 miles, Lulworth Cove - 4 miles, Ringstead - 7 miles, Weymouth - 10 miles - sandy beach, Portland – 1 mile
  • A wonderful property with everything you could possibly need close to many stunning places of natural beauty and charming towns. Gail could not have been kinder and more responsive and she cares very much about her guests and their comfort.

    Elizabeth2017-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful modern space designed by Gail herself with thoughtful touches as well. Very well equipped and clean. I stayed by myself but excellent for a couple to relax in. It is very quiet and handy for local sights.

    Kulajalini2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • SUCH a fab location in beautiful Dorset - easy to get to Dorchester, Poole and everything in between! Especially handy for monkey world and the tank museum, Durdle door and lots of pubs! The space itself is great for two with everything you could need (a really well-equipped kitchen), all spotlessly clean. It's all open-plan and the heat varies a lot down to upstairs, so watch that! Otherwise, a comfortable modern place with a wonderful host that we'd highly recommend.

    Svenja2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This places feels more like a home than a 'holiday cottage' -- and it's one that happens to be designed, decorated, and equipped to a very high standard. It is a tranquil setting but not remote. Gail is a most welcoming host.

    Christopher2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had 3 nights at the Stable Barn, and fell in love with the place. We used the accommodation as a base to explore as much as we could with our time. Everywhere is really close by, Durdle Door and Lulworth just 10 mins drive away. We visited Swanage, Corfe Castle, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Studland, Old Harry Rocks. So much more to see in the area, Gail gave us plenty of places to go check out. We had everything you could need at the Barn, we stayed in and cooked every night as it was very comfortable and didt want to leave the cosiness of the place. Highly recommend.

    Tom2018-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect place for a break in Dorset. The barn is beautifully modern and has everything you need for time away from all the hustle and bustle. Ideally located for visiting all the attractions the area has to offer. Hope to return again next year!

Sunset Cottage was built 300 years ago out of Portland Stone and was a fisherman's cottage . Although refurbished to a high standard all original features still remain. Fantastic sea views of Chesil Beach.
Sunset cottage is very cosy with all its original features. Portland stone walls and wooden beams and floors. Wonderful views of Chesil Beach and Jurassic Coast and just a few metres walk from the shingle beach. Cottage is over three floors .
Portland is an island but is connected by a road to Weymouth. The landscape is rugged with beautiful views . Suitable for those who love the outdoors.
  • We had a wonderful week at the end of August 2017 at this beautiful stone cottage just a few minutes walk from Chesil Beach. The house is immaculate and very well finished. The view from the garden is stunning, parking was not a problem and all the appliances were in good working order. Helen, our host, popped over to check we were settling in OK on our 2nd day and made us feel very welcome. There was lots to do in the area for our family of 4, so much so that we could easily have fill a 2nd week. I would highly recommend this property.

    Ian2016-08-28T00:00:00Z

    Harald2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a pretty and very quaint fisherman's cottage, a very short walk from Portland's beautiful coastline. Minutes from a lovely seaside cafe and pub and local amenities; a 5-10 min walk to the Co-operative Store (7am -11pm) and Daniel's, excellent Fish & Chip shop, as well as easy going local pubs. The bus stop is one minute down the road and it takes you straight into the heart of Weymouth. Helen was an excellent host, straightforward and very easy to talk to. Just a note: if you are well over 6ft, then this place may be a struggle because of low doorways. Also if you have any mobility problems, be mindful that the property is on a steep hill, but towards the bottom. This will not affect most people but it is worth taking in to account when booking. Finally, the views of the sunset and sea from the rear garden (which has a dining table) are stunning. Personally, I would recommend it.

    Pjj2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and stylish cottage. Wonderful walks to Chesil beach (along the road) and a short drive to fantastic views on road to Easton and wonderful wildlife at Portland Bill. We saw a pod of Dolphins off shore. Great for bird spotting. Good food in local pubs and restaurants. Shame about the noisy High Street but lovely sitting in back garden enjoying the sea views.

    Grace2017-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time here in Portland, the cottage was clean and very cosy with bags of character. The welcome pack went down very well and was much appreciated. Communication with Helen was good, with instructions for check in coming about a week before we were due to arrive.

    Phil2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely wonderful. Helen is a delight and has thought of everything for her guests. Very relaxing and like a home from home. Will go again.

    Marcus2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic cottage. It's cosy and cute, with excellent views and close to the sea. But the best part has to be the stand-alone bath. We visited to get out of London for a few days and couldn't recommend it enough for a nice little getaway! Back in the city now and already discussing another visit!

    Steve2017-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful Christmas at the cottage and were greeted with prosecco and food for breakfast! The view from the bath was spectacular and we had a very restful stay at the cottage - there also lots of pubs and shops within walking distance of the cottage which was great for us as we didn't bring our car. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, we hope to visit Portland again!

    Fiona2016-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was very friendly and welcoming and despite my partner and I booking with her at 5pm and checking in just a couple hours later that day she accommodated us flawlessly and nothing was too much trouble. She gave us recommendations on nice places for cocktails for my birthday and evening meals as well and even road directions to avoid traffic which saved us heaps of time as we'd have been sat in it for ages otherwise! Most definitely recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed! She does have 3 cats but this wasn't a problem for us and they're very friendly!

    Alexandra2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Julie was a kind and helpfull host. She gave us lots of information on things to do. House was clean and comfortable. I recommend it.

  • Julie was not there when I checked in, but her instructions for checking in were so detailed that I did not have problem checking in by myself. I did meet her in the evening and she was very welcoming. The location is quite far from train or bus station, but it is still a walking distance. The room and bathroom are very clean. Moreover, breakfast was also provided. Overall, I highly recommend Julie's place (except if you are coming with a heavy luggage).

My place is close to great views. You’ll love my place because of the light. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and furry friends (pets).
    Spacious holiday let for two.
It is a short stroll to Chesil Beach and you can sit and relax to the sight and sound of the sea at Quiddles Cafe or the Cove House Inn. Walk the round the coast path, investigate the Nature Reserve Quarries and enjoy a cream tea at Portland Bill. Good base for climbers, divers, sailors, bird watchers, fishermen and, of course, walkers. About 5 Mins drive from Marina and National Sailing Academy.
  • Wow! What a lovely find this was! After booking this house I zoomed out on the map to find it on an island, this excited us further! With clear instructions and directions we found it easily and after parking on the nearby car park. The cottage was lovely on a cosy little curl de sac. When I walked in I was instantly in love with the quirky cosines and felt at home straight away. As we explored the cottage more we found many little gems. For example, the top floor room with its views and the luxury bathroom. Had a lovely time exploring the Jurassic coastline but was nice to return to this little haven in the evening. The shop at the top of the road was ideal too. Very happy with this house. We will be back!

  • We had a lovely time staying at this cottage. Well thought out space with everything you could need, a real home away from home. The views from the attic room are lovely. A good base for exploring Portland and surrounding area. We had no problems with parking, using the car parks recommended by the owner. All in all a great holiday.

    Gina2017-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is just lovely, great location and close to shops and amenities. We stay in a lot of cottages and found this to be one of the best, everything you could need and much more spacious than we thought. Will definitely return again, just great.

  • We stayed here for a week as a family (me, wife, 2 year old, and little beagle). We loved it. Loved exploring Portland as we've never been before. Chesil cove was brilliant was something quirky and different. The con for us was parking. No real place to park near the house and due to 72 hour parking rules on local car parks, we had to move around a lot. Often found ourselves a good walk away from the house, often with a steep up hill walk. We're fairly young, so this was a minor inconvenience for us, but could be a big issue for others. Overall though, we loved it. The house and area was beautifully quirky as described! After a day or two of exploring Portland, we ventured out to Weymouth, Swanage, Bournemouth, and various other smaller places. Portland was nicely situated as a base to get around. Easily our best Dorset holiday yet! :)

  • We stayed at Tate Cottage for 3 nights in July 2018. The cottage is lovely, perfect for a couple or a small family, and is a great base for exploring Dorset and the Jurrasic Coast. Marion is veey helpful and is super quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommended!

  • Lovely house, in a really nice area. 5 mins walk from Chesil Beach. 100m from main road with shops, bus stop etc but really quiet as its at the end of a narrow road. It was really easy to arrange everything with Marion, who very considerately had bought a loaf of bread and some milk for us as we were arriving quite late. The house is mainly open plan over three floors - the double bedroom and bathroom on middle floor (obviously) have doors. The top room, a converted loft, which opens to the top of the stairs could be another bedroom (there is a double in there) and has great views and a very peaceful feeling. Portland is great too, just over the causeway from Weymouth but it feels very separate and much calmer. Plenty of beautiful nature and walks, especially good views on the east side over to the white cliffs of east Dorset.

  • Lovely little cottage. Spacious modern bathroom and lovely top floor bedroom. Close to coastal walk with great views. And good chip shop at top of the road ! Would definitely return :-)

  • Absolutely stunning place. Walk away from some shops, and some amazing views. 20 minute drive into Weymouth and 5 minutes to Portland bill lighthouse. The views are breathtaking. Cottage is gorgeous and homely. Lovely bathroom and complementary bottle of wine on arrival. Couldn't ask for better, especially for the value.

  • Accommodation is perfect for a quiet break, well placed for accessing local area, excellent bus services into Weymouth. Apartment was as advertised, no concerns, would use this accommodation again.

  • Though a little tricky to find, the apartment was very clean and provided bathroom products as well as cutlery and crockery. Situated close to the coast with the sea in view from the window, and just a short walk from Portland Bill lighthouse, it is a convenient location for exploring the Isle. I saw some stunning sunrises!

Stay in a very warm and cosy cottage and enjoy all that Dorset has to offer or just chill out and relax. Visit England 4 Star and Gold Award. A one bedroom cottage set in the owners beautiful walled garden with guest parking. In a village with easy access to Dorset's fabulous coast, countryside and main attractions. Two local pubs and a cafe all serving food within easy walking.
Perfect accommodation for two. Little Retreat is a seperate cottage within the grounds of our house. We are available should you need us but otherwise we will give you all the privacy you need to enjoy your holiday. Bedroom: A solid wrought iron bed with a topper and Egyptian cotton bedding. A bath sheet and hand towel each are provided for your stay. Bathroom: a bath with shower over and a heated towel rail. A cupboard containing a washing machine. Sitting Room: a comfortable large sofa, Smart TV, DVD and WiFi. French doors leading onto a wooden deck. The deck is south facing with views over surrounding fields. There is seating year round and in the summer there are loungers. Kitchen: very well equipped with all you need to cook in should you chose to. We provide washing up liquid, pan scrubber, tea towel and J cloth for your stay. The cottage is lovely and warm and is bathed in sunlight all day long. The deck catches the very last of the evening sun. The heating within the cottage is efficient and Little Retreat quickly heats up.
Upwey is a characterful village between Dorchester and Weymouth. It is central to all the attractions that Dorset has to offer. Weymouth and beaches are 10 minutes drive. Quieter beaches are all around too and we can give you advice on those. There are many walks in the local area. From the cottage it is a 15 minute walk up the hill behind to then get great views over the coast and access to the Dorset coastal path. More gentle walks are available around the village, along the river, maybe calling into the Wishing Well Cafe for tea and cake. We are in a great location for cycling. There are cycle pathways into Weymouth and Dorchester. For those that like it muddier then cycling up on the Ridgeway is great. I am always happy to give cycling advice as I've done quite a bit locally. Bikes can be taken into the garden and kept near the cottage. Please feel free to use the lower two lawns in the property.
  • We enjoyed a warm, cosy and comfortable stay at the Little Retreat over Christmas. The cottage was very well equipped and we were able to make ourselves at home. It is in a very peaceful location with views over fields and we slept well. The treats Sarah left us were a lovely surprise too!

    Philippa2016-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Retreat was lovely! Clean, comfortable, secluded - and surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside. We loved our visit and would love to go again! No complaints, full marks on everything!

    Jude2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend. Lovely spot. Very clean, well equipped and cosy house. Good heating and insulation. Handy for exploring the Dorset coast. Host was very respectful to our privacy, but always there if needed.

  • A lovely place that lives up to its name. Idyllic garden and great location, 10 mins from a shops but Also quick access to some stunning countryside and walks. Highly recommended.

  • Staying at Sarah’s & Andrew’s Little Retreat enhanced our holiday no end. It is in a beautiful surrounding and is a lovely home in a gorgeous garden. Your thoughtfulness in providing absolutely everything we would need is outstanding. Ian and Rosemary thoroughly enjoyed their week at Little Retreat. It will be a memorable time in their lives. Would love to be able to come back. Thank you very much, and all good wishes.

  • Had a lovely few days away at Little Retreat, was fab to have our own little place to enjoy Weymouth and everything it has to offer! It was very clean and tidy and has everything you need to enjoy a break! Thank you to Sarah for making this more like a little home than a place to stay away from home!

Our cottage is nestled in the heart of the Bride Valley close to the Jurassic Coast. This recently converted barn has views over our orchard. The cottage is 20 minutes drive from Dorchester and Bridport. Upstairs kitchen area with cooker, fridge, washing machine, lounge area with lots of books, DVD player and DVD,s. Dining area and balcony with seating. Downstairs Large bedroom with Double bed or 2 singles if you prefer. Bathroom with shower. Outside walled garden with seating.
Great views around our little farm, can sit on the balcony and see cows, chickens, ducks. Also we have our beautiful donkeys that love to meet visitors. You may also see a range of wild birds, deer, foxes, rabbits and hares. The cottage is situated in a magical valley with lots of places to explore. Perfect spot for listening to the dawn chorus and star gazing. If you like a rural environment then this is the spot.
Our farm is in a beautiful location, next door to a working cheese dairy. It has the benefit of market towns nearby. Is also close to beaches along Jurassic Coast and so a perfect spot for seeing the sites that Dorset has to offer or for just sitting and watching life on the farm go by. We have two very friendly dogs called Ruby and Honey.
  • Beautiful area, and wonderful accommodation. Even though our stay was short we had an amazing and relaxing time! We’d love to visit again!

    Molly2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at the Old Apple Store. A nice peaceful location on the farm but still not too far from local villages/town. The apartment was fully equipped and had everything we needed. The photo's do not do it justice. Thanks!

    Sean2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • There is a lovely lane walk right from the door. The Apple store was lovely and warm and clean. We had a good breakfast thanks to the juice, milk, crossants and marmalade left by Judy. Judy also gave us a wonderful Cheddar cheese made in the impressive cheese plant next door, managed by Martin. Loved the view from the dining area.

    David2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage in a wonderful location. This was our second visit and it is still as lovely as ever. Location is great for getting around too.

    Debbie2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay at this beautiful farm! Judy and Martin were very helpful and provided everything we needed for our stay. Can't wait to go back!

    Keira2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying at the cottage, it looks exactly like it does in the photographs. Judy and Martin were very welcoming and accommodating to us with easy communication. Will definitely come back again and already recommended to a few friends. Anna & Owen

    Anna2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much Judy and Martin! We had such a lovely relaxing stay in the Old Apple Store for 4 nights, the location was just beautiful and my husband particularly enjoyed his private tour of the cheese farm! The welcome basket was such a lovely touch and we will definitely be back for a visit in the future. Everything was spotlessly clean and there were lots of thoughtful touches throughout the cottage.

    Erica2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • A brilliant place to stay - peaceful, characterful and spacious, with a lovely layout of rooms, balcony, garden area and parking. Judy is a brilliant host, very welcoming and provides a first class welcome "hamper" (a nice basket of goodies and the fridge filled with fresh eggs and cheese from the cheese factory of course). Faultless (even for my very high standards!) - we loved our stay at the Old Apple Store. All I would say is book soon as the Old Apple Store is perfect - word will soon get out and it will be fully booked! Thank you to Martin and Judy and all the lovely pets.

  • Mandy and Gary were fantastic hosts who made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. They have us lots of ideas as to were to go during the day. The town was about a 20min walk. Parking was available on their drive way which was a bonus. Gary had made us some chicken wraps on arrival and Mandy made sure we had everything we needed. The room and ensuite was clean and tidy. A foldable table, fridge, microwave and kettle was provided in the room as well as a tv. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm. The garden was beautiful and we had access to the kitchen as and when needed. Thanks again to Mandy and Gary for looking after us during our stay.

  • After an extremely long day of traveling from Colorado, we were thrilled to walk into Michelle and Mark's place. It far exceeded our expectations. Beautifully updated, clean with all of the comforts of home. The hot-tub was an added bonus!! The location was ideal! We loved being able to walk to the beach, to town and the harbor. It was a fabulous vacation for us!

    Susan2018-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great and a lovely property however we felt as though the hosts were invading our privacy and didn't realise that they had access to the property through a door inside almost like a connecting room in a hotel. Check in was great and the hot tub was a nice bonus but it wouldn't been nice to have a bit more privacy.

    Nadia2018-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic home. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Downstairs is an excellent open plan space, ideal for family and friends to spend time together. The hot tub and court yard were a great addition to our stay too. Perfect location for beach, town and harbour. There were also some lovely welcoming touches (scones with cream and jam, plus some milk for our tea on arrival!). We will definitely stay again.

    Carina2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • First class accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Hot tub a perfect way to finish a days beach combing. Michelle's place the perfect base for exploring the coastline or equally to just stay in Weymouth. Would definitely stay again.

  • Great house in a great location. 4 great sized bedrooms (2 with en-suite) and a really nice open plan kitchen/diner/lounge. Really helpful and friendly host.

  • We love this part of Dorset and had a lovely holiday. The house was great and so close to the beach and the centre of Weymouth.

    Fiona2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place is even nicer than the photos. The location is great for the beech and two parking spaces (the cars need to be nose to nose) is fantastic for central Weymouth location. The Property has towels and dressing gowns which is a nice touch. Mark and Michele were great and we didn’t have any problems I would definitely recommend this property.

  • Marcus & Daniela are great hosts and a real credit to the Airbnb community. They made us feel very much at home in their comfortable house overlooking Portland Harbour and helped us get the most out of our weeks' sailing holiday. Ideally situated place for Castle Cove SC (walkable) and the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA). Secluded and quiet location just off main Weymouth to Portland road. An excellent place to stay and we look forward to revisiting for next year's Weymouth Dinghy Regatta. malcolm + alison

    Ross2017-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived we were greeted by their teenage children who helped us settle into our spacious room and explained where everything was and how it worked. Later we met our very friendly hosts Marcus and Daniela and shown around their huge kitchen and dining area and told where to find the many options we could choose for our DIY breakfast which we could have whenever we wanted in the morning. Everything was at least what we expected based on what we had read before booking and we were certainly not disappointed with anything. The room is large with all amenities as is the ensuite which has a great shower. Their house is located in a quiet residential road with plenty of parking plus its only a 1 minute walk for frequent buses to Weymouth town centre (1 km) or Portland (4-5 km). There are also super views from some rooms over the tops of other houses towards Portland Harbour.

    Christopher2016-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such great hosts in a lovely house. If we could give more than 5* we would in every aspect! Marcus and Daniela were so welcoming, our daughter didn't want to leave!! We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay!

  • I arrived by train when Daniela picked me up at the station. Marcus & Daniela are great hosts, helpful and friendly. The room was larger then anticipated, very clean and comfortable. Their has house is beautiful, clean and friendly. There is a bus station just outside the house. Easy to go to city centre and other places. They gave me plenty of information about places to visit. I really enjoyed staying there. Thank you :)

  • I didn't expect to have such a nice welcome, Marcus and Daniela are very friendly, open and helpful people. The house is big and very tidy. I highly recommend Marcus and Daniela's place for short or long stays as I would definitely come back there the next time I'm in Weymouth. Thank you Marcus and Daniela for letting us stay at your place. Dora

    Dora2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus and Daniela are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, light and well-presented. We can definitely recommend this accommodation.

  • Well located in a quiet road only 10 minutes' walk from shops, bars, restaurants and Weymouth Sailing Club - where I was competing in a sailing championship. The house was fully equipped to meet all our needs (4 adults), with comfortable beds, and free parking in the road proved easier to find than we expected. If only the bank holiday weather had been better.....

  • Clean, comfortable and great location. This is a great two bedroom flat. Everything that you need for a weekend or a week. Walking distance to restaurants and great location to Lulworth Cove etc. We had one small issue that was corrected within minutes. Great WiFi. Quiet area. We slept very well. The curtains in the bedroom are lovely and also have blackout lining.

  • This is an absolutely ideal place to book for a family seaside holiday. We very much enjoyed our stay at 25 Orion Road and will definitely try to book it again in the future. Mark is also a very attentive host and responded very quickly to any issues we raised by email.

  • Mark's house is a lovely terraced house, 6-7 minute to Weymouth town centre and harbour. Where you'll find amazing restaurants and pubs, with great views of the beach or harbour. Parking can be a little tight in the early evening. So if you intend to spend the day on the beach or in town centre find a spot and keep it! no need to move your car unless your travelling away from Weymouth, there's great public transport. Wifi was also fast, Heating easily adjusted.

  • Rosa Cottage was very well equipped on our arrival with tea, coffee, milk and even a bottle of wine! The log burner was great and Karin kindly provided us with enough wood for both nights we were staying. The house itself was nicely decorated and was well located with a local co-op and fish+chip shop less than 5 minute walk away. Everything was straightforward from start to finish - from arranging getting the keys to checking out. Rosa Cottage provided us with the perfect base to explore the surrounding area, with lots of tips left in a folder by Karin too! Would definitely recommend Rosa Cottage to others.

  • Wonderful house with all amenities a short walk to spectacular Chesil Cove - great location close to shops, restaurants, etc. would definitely visit again.

    Hugh2017-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was perfect! Karin left us lots of extras to make it really special - a bottle of wine, chocolates, milk, tea and coffee and stuff to make a fire in the wood burner - everything we would need to settle us in! The house is beautiful and I would highly recommend staying here to others

    Ashleigh2017-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Karin's place was amazing. Everything from check in to leaving was great, we had everything we could have needed and more. The cottage is wonderful, clean, extremely comfortable, well-equipped and charming. Karin and John are great and happy to offer lots of tips on where to drink, eat. The Royal Portland Arms just up the road is brilliant, I'm a beer writer and was worried there would be no good pubs. Royal Portland is the friendliest place I've been in years and the prices are so good. If visiting Portland, Karin's place can't be beaten.

    Robert2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Karin is very welcoming and came to visit us to ensure everything was ok. The house is accurately pictured and the log burner in the lounge makes it cosy.

    Chas2017-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our five night stay in the cottage, it is very well furnished and very comfortable. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood and very close to Chesil beach. The parking, as mentioned in other reviews, could be a little difficult in the evening but we never had any problems. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Portland

Comfortable double bedded room. The bathroom is "compact"! but it has a nice hot shower, and a bath. Use of kitchen opening out into the cottage garden, fresh eggs for breakfast when the hens are laying. Comfortable lounge, with TV wifi - log fire in the winter. We provide towels.
An old farm cottage, double room. Double bed, heating and internet access. Tea/Coffee making facilities in room, fresh milk.
Poundbury has a small but very well stocked shop, and a Waitrose. There is a pub ( The Poet Laureate ) and a couple of cafes ( Finca at The Buttermarket & The Café on the Green, Bonjour, Picolo Fiore ) For chocolate lover's, we have a chocolate factory a stones throw from our house where you can buy large bags of delicious chocolates! The newly completed Queen Mother Square, with cafes and The Duchess of Cornwall Inn (Hall & Woodhouse) is a grand addition to Poundbury, well worth a visit. Stand and admire the imposing statue of The Queen Mother , recently unveiled by Her Majesty The Queen, then you can pay a visit to the Hall & Woodhouse Inn The Duchess of Cornwall, and enjoy one of their craft beers brewed in their Blandford Brewery ( The Brewery is open to visitors) Dorchester is either a 20 minute walk or you can hop on the electric bus. There are 2 cinemas, and a plethora of cafes and restaurants. The new Brewery Square complex has something for everyone. Weymouth and its beautiful beaches is 7 miles away.

  • Katie and Pete and Plum the dog made us feel instantly welcome in their busy family home. Nothing was too much trouble including use of the washing machine. Good value and great location close to Dorchester and interesting Poundbury. We enjoyed the fresh eggs each day from the chickens.

  • Great place, lovely hosts. Was made to (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable bed, would highly recommend and stay again.

    William2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Poundbury is a new development, in fact Prince Charles’ brainchild, but Katie’s home has been there before all those new houses were built. As new housing estates go, it feels a little sterile, although the different architecture styles are worth a look at. However Katie’s home is an oasis in the middle of all that and a pleasure to stay in. Katie and Peter made us feel welcome. It may be a little too cosy, if you need a lot of space for yourself, but we used it as a base to travel all around in Dorset visiting some amazing sites, such as Tolpuddle, Athelhampton, Weymouth, Portland, Jurassic Coast, Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacy and many others.

    Kerstin2017-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay with Katie and Pete, they are really nice hosts! The accommodation was lovely and the location is very nice, handy to go to Weymouth and surrounding areas. Would defiantly recommend

Thank you for making us feel so at home with lovely conversation and tea time goodies :) Their home was extremely cosy and very conveniently located near supermarkets and food. You two are truly super hosts and Plum was absolutely adorable! We had an extremely comfortable stay and sightseeing experience in Dorset and we cant wait to meet the both of you in Asia some day soon.

SW1 is an annex right on the sea front of Weymouth with its own private entrance close to the King's statue. The facility comprises a double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower. SW1 enjoys its own patio area with a gas bbq and picnic table. A fridge, microwave, kettle and tv make this a great holiday retreat. 100 yards away is a Wetherspoons which does a terrific breakfast. SW1 is a stones throw away from the town center with many great eating places, clubs, shops and pubs.
  • We stayed at The Annexe for 3 nights and just wish it had been longer. John and Linda were very accommodating with our late arrival and very helpful when we arrived. The room and bathroom were perfect, with so many little touches that added to the experience, such as beach towels provided and helpful recommendations for the area. The balcony was lovely for relaxing with a tea in the sun, and everywhere was spotless. The situation could not have been better, both for proximity to the sea front and amenities, and for exploring the local area, and John also arranged for parking nearby, which was so convenient. Thank you both for helping make our stay memorable and really restful.

Great location close to Weymouth harbour bridge. Nearby, you may choose to visit Newton's Cove, a favourite place to go rock pooling at low tide. Just 7 minutes walk away and you'll find yourself in the town centre with a variety of high street names and individual quirky shops located in the lanes off the high street. Adjacent to the high street is the main Weymouth Beach which is favoured as it is long and sandy with shallow waters.
  • Lovely little harbour cottage, enough room for 2 adults and 2 children, don’t let the pull down bed in the lounge put you off, it’s really no hassle at all. It’s well equipped and nicely furnished. The cottage is in a great location for the nicer parts of Weymouth, but still very handy for the beautiful sandy beach. The pub next door is good as is the Tapas restaurant the other side ! Great location for crabbing in the evening, and strolling along the harbour.

    Simon2018-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time here and also exploring Weymouth. We spent 3 nights and found it to be a comfortable place to fit in with a family of four. Attention to detail was good and the place was nicely decorated and clean! Lots of places to visit and quite an easy town to walk around. We found the place to be in a central location. Over looking the water was beautiful. The courtyard was a lovely suntrap. Thanks again for your hospitality. We hope to visit again.

Wonderful airy bright flat, spotlessly clean, fantastically comfy beds with parking right outside, brilliant location with everything in walking distance. • We were in Weymouth for a family holiday. We stayed in the hideaway and the rest of the family stayed further up the bay. We much preferred our location! Everything we needed is in the harbour area and I can’t recommend Cate’s place enough. We got a parking space right outside the apartment and didn’t use the car all week. It was also really quiet even though you’re in a bustling area with a pub next door. You would never have known! Our two boys had the twin room and we had the pull down bed in the lounge. This was the biggest revelation to us. It was no effort at all to simply push it away every morning as the bedding is all strapped down. It was also one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on! My husband likes to cook and used the kitchen everyday. He was really impressed with how well the kitchen had been thought out and there really was everything there we needed. The courtyard was a lovely area to eat in too. We are seasoned Airbnb users and I really can’t recommend Cate’s place enough. Clean, comfortable, quiet and in the perfect location. We fell in love with Weymouth and will definitely stay here again.

My place is close to Weymouth beach, the town centre and harbour are twenty minutes walk away. There are many nice pubs, cafes and restaurants in Weymouth plus local shops just around the corner from the house. . You’ll love my place because of the two rooms, the comfy bed, peaceful setting, ensuite and friendly hosts. . My place is good for couples, walkers, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Towels provided.
These are two adjoining rooms on the first floor of our house . The first room has basic kitchen facilities - toaster, kettle, microwave, sink and fridge, a table for two with chairs and a comfy sofa, which could be used as a bed if necessary. There are mugs, plates and cutlery for your use. We will provide milk, tea and coffee, washing up liquid, etc. There is also a TV with Freeview box. This room leads into the back room which contains a double bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail and hangers for clothes and a small ensuite, containing shower, toilet and sink. The rooms are very quiet and private at the back of the house.
We live in a quiet street with a short walk to the beach and with local shops and takeaways, etc just around the corner.
  • If you are looking to stay in Weymouth, I would 100% recommend staying with Clare, Jim and Ted the dog who is adorable! They are so welcoming, kind and helpful. The family home is beautiful and the location is perfect, set in a quiet street with about a 10 minute walk to the sea front. The room is fully equipped with more than you need, we felt very spoilt! Our stay was made easy and very enjoyable, thanks Clare and Jim, hope to be back soon. x

    Lucy2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clare and Jim made us feel very welcome. Lovely place to stay, within walking distance of seafront, yet nice and quiet. Would definitely make another visit.

    Susanne2018-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful stay with Clara and Jim. They are very thoughtful, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. It felt like 'home' with the 2 rooms plus ensuite bathroom. A car parking spot was a plus for us, as well as the location. David

    David2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you are in need of peace and quiet in a self-contained space, then this is ideal. There is no TV or radio, so is a place to completely shut that rubbish off for a while! The rooms are a good size, and it feels like somewhere to live in for a few days, rather than stay in. The kitchen area has a fridge and a microwave as well as kettle and toaster, which is fine for a short stay, as you'll be making the most of the cafes and restaurants anyway. Clare and Jim are a lovely couple who made me feel welcome.

    Angela 2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Life is about people and friendly cats and dogs. Clare, Jim and `Ted` are top of the `like list`. We will be back.

  • What a gem! CLose to the beautiful Dorset Coast but in a quiet lovely spot. The accommodation was everything we expected and more. Luxurious, spotlessly clean, a fantastic log fire with a supply of logs from Lyndsey, all the facilities you'll need. A fantastic host, we can't praise this place enough! We hope to be back again.

  • We absolutely loved staying at this barn and will hopefully do so again in the near future. Lyndsey & Simon are so friendly and hospitable but also gave us complete privacy. We were warm and cosy with the wood burner, lashing of hot water and heating, thick duvets and well equiped kitchen. Such a lovely place to stay thank you.

    Debra2018-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay. Cosy, warm and a well equipped kitchen. Very clean and very soft towels. The addition of the log burner enhanced the stay, as did the tranquil setting. With the barn being close to the coast it made a good base to plan any day trips.

Our house is a lovely large Edwardian terrace within walking distance of the centre of Weymouth. Weymouth has an interesting history and was much enjoyed by the King George III who would often take vacations there. Weymouth is a seaside town with an award winning beach, harbour and visitor attractions; the town is a gateway situated halfway along the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site on the Dorset and east Devon coast, important for its geology and land forms.
The room we are offering is a bright quiet double room overlooking the garden. You have your own toilet next door and separate bathroom with bath and shower. We are happy for you to use other areas in the house such as the kitchen, dining room and garden. The garden is sheltered and a real suntrap, we have garden furniture and a BBQ available to use for al fresco dining on the patio til the sun goes down. We have a resident dog called Lily. You can easily walk to town or the beach within 10 minutes and about 15 minutes to the harbour. Taxis cost £5 to and from the town if you fancy an evening out.
There are many cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars in town. There are water sports locally including diving, kayaking, wind-surfing and sailing. There are beautiful walks.
  • What a lovely room in a great house, conveniently situated in Weymouth. I didn’t get to see much of Emma and Pete so probably missed out on a possible musical interlude. I would recommend the’Old Sewing Room’ wholeheartedly and would definitely stay there again. Thanks

Our Sea View Apartment is in the centre of Weymouth. The apartment has a panoramic view of the golden beach. This comfortable space has recently been refurbished and comprises of a living room, kitchenette and en-suite bedroom. The apartment is on the second floor of the building. Guests with limited walking ability will struggle with the stairs. Due to the recent refurbishment the hallway and stairs still need work but when you enter the flat is an oasis of calm and the views are to die for.
Central, newly renovated, stunning views and 5* comfort
Centre of town. Beautiful views. Just perfect.
  • Great apartment, view and location! John was really helpful getting us all in and sorted and had lots of handy tips for parking & restaurants. The apartment was very clean and was a pleasant stay! We only booked the apartment a few hours before checking in and John had already been round and got it all sorted for us! Can’t recommend this place enough!

  • Lovely location, the beachfront, town and bus stops are accessible. My little one enjoyed the lovely Weymouth beach. The flat was sparkling clean when we arrived and having a kitchen was really convenient as we can prepare pack lunches especially that the little one is a picky eater. I highly recommend this place

  • We had a great stay at Sea View during the Ironman 70.3 weekend - the apartment is perfectly located to use as a base for both competitors and spectators! Decor and cleanliness was immaculate, and the kitchenette perfect for breakfasts and light meals. With the rain being pretty relentless all weekend, John went way above expectations agreeing to an extra-late checkout so that we could have a hot shower after we’d finished. Thanks again for being so accommodating!

    Chris2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute perfect location for all your needs. There is nearby paid parking or if you're okay with a 10 minute stroll, free parking not far. The view from the front window is enough to make you feel one with the sea. I stayed here with 3 of my girlfriend's and it's big enough if you are happy bunking in together. Bring an extra towel for hair though :) I didn't meet John but he was very good at responding to messages and offering up suggestions. Would definitely recommend it as a great stay.

    Amy2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A small, tidy and very clean flat ideal to explore Weymouth and as a base for the Jurassic Coast. The location is ideal as well as the coffee shop on the ground floor for the morning breakfast! John has been the best of hosts and I would recommend the flat without reservation. Thank you!

  • Great apartment great location ! I recommend for a week end or a week in Weymouth

    Lionel2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • John's apartment is a great place to stay for exploring both Weymouth and the surrounding area. It's clean, comfy, and within easy walking distance of pretty much anything you could want to do in the town, which is great for activities and also for going out to eat in the evening without having to drive anywhere! John's cafe downstairs is also well worth a visit, very nice indeed (although we only visited once as we had a lot to pack into the week!). As has been mentioned, the apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs - fine if you're able-bodied, less so if not - and it can be a bit noisy at night - which is nothing to do with the apartment, more to do with late night revellers, and not much you can do about that. I'd definitely recommend John's place for a break in Weymouth/Dorset :)

Uniquely decorated newly refurbished double bedroom in beautiful setting. Fully furnished with own bathroom, kitchenette, off street parking, wifi and use of a garden. Close to Weymouth town and local amenities. Dorchester 12 minutes drive.
A vibrant and colorful self contained annex located in a beautiful garden complete with its own bathroom and kitchenette. The main room is a good size, with a double bed, large cuddle sofa, TV and fireplace. *update* - kitchen now contains oven, stove, fridge and extractor hood
The annex is located in a small suburb of Weymouth, just a 5 minute drive to the town centre or a lovely walk through the nature reserve. The property has direct access to fields with many public walkways.
  • Susie was an amazing host! The unit was lovely - spotlessly clean and private - but Susie made the whole experience even more enjoyable - it was Easter so she'd filled the room with Easter eggs, cupcakes and hot cross buns, and was wonderful to chat to when we arrived - very helpful about everything to do in Weymouth. We would definitely stay there again! Thanks for a wonderful weekend Susie :)

    Cj2016-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had 1 night stay at Susie's place. The self contained annex is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lots of little cosy spaces to relax or have a breakfast/lunch. Susie is very welcoming and friendly and the accommodation offers everything you may need, from a parking space to hairdryer, fresh milk and chocolate. Highly recommended if you are planning to visit Weymouth and its beautiful surrounding areas.

  • This was such a beautiful, spotlessly clean place to stay-there is even a stunning garden to enjoy. Susie was an incredible hostess-she goes above and beyond to make sure all the little extras are there waiting. Exactly as described and we even got freshly made cake brought over! Felt so at home and (Website hidden by Airbnb) was though we'd known her a long time. Above all she loves air bnb and everything about your stay reflects her years of expertise. A nice walk into town through the rspb nature reserve too!

  • Susie's house is one of the best place in the heaven to stay. My wife and I enjoyed the stay very much and took many photographs both inside the house as well as outside in the garden. See the color combination of the house in the picture and you will realize how great the house is. It is an amazing place to stay. The room has its kitchen and toilet attached so you will have a complete privacy. The utensils in the kitchen is also colorful which will attract you to use them. Susie being generous left lot of cereals for breakfast with unopened can of milk in the fridge. Susie also left lot of sweets in the kitchen and in the table near to bed to have them whenever we like. If I want to say their garden, it is as good as the room or much more. During night time illuminating lights shows the path of garden which looks beautiful; during the day time you can sit and relax in many places of the garden. i wonder how Susie manages such a big garden with 2 ponds and water fountains. I took so many pics in the garden with my wife. The house itself looks like a picnic spot; both my wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed the place. I booked 5 rooms in Weymouth for the same period as we come with 10 other people to enjoy visiting the durdle door and undoubtedly this room is the best. Even though we reached there at 12 midnight, Susie gave a warm welcome standing in front of the street / house, greeting myself and my wife, showed us the driveway where we can park the car and took us to the wonderful room with a full smile on her face. Let it be the room or the courtesy she has shown to greet and invite us both are exceptional. I just had a short conversation with her neighbor who is also very good, I think good people always surrounded by good ones. I would love to come again and stay in Susie's house and will definitely recommend this house for anyone and I am sure they will thoroughly enjoy the stay without any disturbance. Miss you and take care xxx.

  • This is the second time my husband and son have stayed here, whilst attending a sailing events at WPNSA. The stay was a brilliant as the last time with lots of thoughtful touches and treats. I'm sure we'll be back again!

  • Susie is a very friendly and welcoming host. The place is very clean and comfortable. Susie provided some lovely welcoming touches, and I hope to stay at Susie's place again in the future.

  • Susie was very welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, she is one of a kind. "The Love Shack" is to die for. I have read the other reviews and cannot add any more comment. We will definitely go back again and again. Dawn and Mark.

  • 10/10! I stayed here with my bf for Valentines weekend and we had such a wonderful time! On entering the 'luv shack' we were greeted with heart shaped 'petals' on the floor and bed, and a table full of heart shaped chocolates, sweets, and cupcakes, as well as a bottle of bucks fizz. The kitchen was also stocked with all kinds of breakfast cereals, milk, hot chocolate etc etc. Every detail had been thought about! We had a table booked in the town for dinner and Adam (Susie's husband) was kind enough to offer us a lift down to it. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend it!! Thanks Susie and Adam :D

Abbeystone Cottage is a traditional 17th Century cottage situated in a picturesque Dorset village that lies on the magnificent Jurassic Coast, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With original features such as a large fireplace and woodburner, wooden floors and beams it offers a tranquil escape to the country. Within easy walking distance of many amenities and attractions within the beautiful village it is also surrounded by stunning countryside and lies only a mile from Chesil Beach.
Abbeystone Cottage is a cosy cottage with low ceilings and a traditional yet modern feel. Downstairs is a large living room with beautiful stone fireplace, said to have been built using stone from the nearby abbey. There is a separate sunroom for dining, and a modern kitchen and downstairs bathroom with bath and shower over. Upstairs is a separate toilet and two bedrooms with pretty views over the back garden and main street. Outside is a small garden with both a grass and patio area with table and chairs for enjoying the sun! The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer but there are plenty of lovely places to eat out locally.
The village of Abbotsbury is very pretty made up entirely of traditional stone and some thatched cottages. There are a selection of tea rooms to choose from, two pubs, art galleries and a shop. There is also the amazing Abbotsbury Botanical Gardens that have a wonderful October event - The Enchanted Illuminations (18th - 28th October) and Swannery within easy walking distance as well as a children's farm. The Dorset Coastal Path is virtually on the door step and many excellent fishing spots along the beach can be found close by. Just a short drive away (with some stunning views of the coast) you can visit the fishing harbour of West Bay with it's many places to eat and drink. Next to West Bay is the bustling market town of Bridport which has everything you would need including large supermarkets, chemists and a weekly market. In the other direction lies Weymouth with many restaurants, shops and bars and it's famous sea front.
  • Lovely, cosy place to make your home whilst exploring Dorset. Pretty village, well equipped home, clean and homely. We struggled with noise from traffic at night and early mornings but that maybe because we live in a small quiet village in Berkshire. Shouldn't be an issue if you live in a town or city or are less sensitive to noise. Thanks Naomi.

  • Great cottage which was surprisingly spacious so made a great family stay

  • We had a great 3 night stay in Feb half term with our 6 year old son. A beautiful cottage with lovely clean rooms, comfy beds and stylish furnishings and a welcome wood burner for the chilly nights. Everything you need for a mini break was provided. The village of Abbotsbury was a perfect location to explore the Dorset coast and the village itself was also worth exploring with nice shops and galleries. Full marks from us!

  • Naomi's cottage is just perfect, we only wish we'd had more time! We ate at the pub opposite and at the tea room a few doors down, both were fantastic. A beautiful walk down to Abbotsbury swanery, and the farm is excellent for kids. Parking was easy and the village really is something out of old English storybooks. The cottage is well equipped and spotlessly clean. Thank you Naomi!

  • We had a lovely stay, a very pretty village and lots to do and see around the area.

  • We stayed a long weekend in this beautiful cottage, the village is absolutely beautiful. The evening near the wood fire was really a plus.

    Helene2017-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy cottage in a lovely village. Great access to Footpaths and village facilities including a great pub over the road. Only drawback was the proximity to the main road through the village and hence traffic noise at night and early in the morning. Despite that the whole family including the dog had a great holiday.

    Dominic2018-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Abbystone Cottage is a delightful little place in a quiet, scenic part of Dorset. We loved the little garden room and found the cottage a very pleasant place to stay. We would definitely come back here.

Self-contained bedroom, a sitting room and shower room. Your suite of rooms is separate from the house with its own entrance. The windows overlook the village duck pond and spring and pretty waterfall. There is parking, for your car, at your door. We're in a Dorset village with Trafalgar history, centuries old church, busy pub. The coast is only a couple of miles away. We are on the Dorset Coastal Path and the SSSI Jurasic Coast. £7.50 for a full Dorset breakfast. Evening meal £7 to £12.

  • Hywel's one of the most kindest, warmest people I've met in my life and his son too.His place is not just an accommodation but an experience, a beautiful one. He went out of his way to make it extremely special. It felt like meeting an old friend. Thank you for the unforgettable, beautiful memories.

  • A very friendly and thoughtful greeting including Hywel showing us where we could store our bikes safely. Good information about local amenities (ie shop and pub) The pub served very good meals. A lovely breakfast the next morning brought into our own living room area with dining table. The setting next to the pond makes for a really peaceful start to the day.

    Trish2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful setting. Very hospitable including allowing us to bring the hound. Highly recommended! Really nice people.

  • Cosy quiet space. Just the ticket after London... and the pond doesn’t disappoint!

  • A superbly cute cottage annex in a fantastic location right near the Jurassic coast in the beautiful countryside of Dorset. You can do some brilliant walks in the countryside right from the front door (and finish off at the village pub!). The place itself was even better than what the pictures show - quaint and quirky with everything you need for a short stay including a small fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave and sandwich toaster. Wifi is available in the lounge area (my phone didn't manage to pick it up in the bedroom). Great to have some orange juice in the fridge ready for our arrival too! Oh and how adorable are the ducks and goose - we loved them. Glad we're early risers as they do make for a natural alarm clock! If you stay here, I highly recommend visiting the village farm shop called Ducks - some amazing food and drinks including some wonderful souvernirs!

    Niki2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage is ideally located, spacious, and tranquil - pond with swan and ducklings guaranteed to brighten up your day! Thank you for having us Susie.
