“Chair 9 has fantastic pizza and has a very chill, Glacier atmosphere. There is a restaurant side that is great for families, and they often have a game on the big TVs during sports seasons. ”

“Graham's is very casual, but has pretty good pub food. It's a little quirky, which makes it fun. James loves the fried pickles and the Prime Rib Ceasar Salad. Graham's is about a mile from the cabin, so a great place to pop into if you don't feel like cooking. ”

“Milanos has delicious Italian food. They bring in some unique specialty items and cook authentic, fresh Italian. Also a relatively casual restaurant - everything in Glacier is casual - Milanos is a great place for dinner. ”

“There are three and a half miles of trails in Whatcom Falls Park. Many routes wind through the forests here, some overlooking the creek gorge and still pools. Some wind through open meadows, while others stay in deep forest. A WPA-built stone bridge greets visitors, just 100 yards from the parking area. It's a beautiful, mossy wonder that makes a great destination in and of itself, though further wandering in the park is a fantastic day outing. Connect to Bloedel Donovan Park, the Railroad Trail, or do a one-mile loop in the park by beginning in the Silver Beach Road parking area, near the stone bridge at the main falls.”

“Wake 'n Bakery is a must visit in Glacier. They bake their own pastries fresh daily and they are delicious. The scones are our favorite - but you have to get there early if you want one! ”

“Yeah, this is a must see. Moran State Park is the gem of Orcas Island. Hiking & bike trails, horseback riding, waterfalls, two lakes...and Mt. Constitution- the highest peak in the San Juan Islands. Drive up and admire the view then take a walk around Cascade lake. Swim in the summer. Play area for kids and plenty of picnic spots. Daily fee to park or use your Discover Pass.”

“North Cascades National Park is a phenomenal wilderness. Stop at the ranger station in Marblemount (take the left on Ranger Station Road before town) to learn all about the many trails and sights, dams and lakes, back country challenges that await. The Newhalem Visitor center has exhibits and info too. ”

“One of our best local parks, right along Bellingham Bay. Woods Coffee is central to numerous walks connecting downtown to Fairhaven. Wide expanses of lawn for frisbee and volleyball; a band shell; this park has it all.”
