Beautifully simple, well designed, comfortable double room in a rural Cheshire farm house with a modern en-suite. Both our BNB rooms (2 doubles) are independent of the house with separate front door, each have a TV & wifi. I leave a light 'help yourself' breakfast in adjacent kitchenette with use of fridge, kettle, cooker, microwave shared with 1 other guest room. The local pub is 7 mins walk & serves great food. Easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Cheshire & M6
We have lovingly restored our farm house (there is still a lot of work to do on the landscaping) over the last 5 years. The old barn has now become a separate wing connected to the house with 2 bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms that are our Airbnb rooms. They are modern and fresh but homely too with everything you need to relax, TV, wifi, etc Good insulation and underfloor heating means the rooms are quiet and cosy. The water is heated via our solar panels and air source heat pump. Our guests have use of a small kitchen with a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave etc We also now have a campsite if you fancy coming to camp.
Comberbach is a lovely Cheshire village with a church, post office, garage and a pub (7mins walk). Marbury Park has lovely walks and it connects to the Anderton Boat Lift only 2 miles away. Nearest towns Northwich (7 mlies), Knustford (12 miles) and Warrington (9 miles) where there are bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. We are on The Cheshire Cycle Route so there are cyclist are everywhere! Horse Riding is available at Cheshire Riding School 2 mins walk away. The great cities of the North West, Manchester, Chester and Liverpool, are in easy reach - see below.

  • Booking really easy, accommodation exactly as advertised. Lovely welcoming host in Fiona who couldn't have been more helpful. I've recommended to all my colleagues visiting and I'd recommend it to you too!!

  • We hebben een fijn verblijf gehad bij Fiona. De kamer was groot, had een moderne badkamer en was erg privé, ondanks de verbondenheid aan het huis. Nog een pluspunt: beneden in de bijkeuken stond het ontbijt klaar.

    Milou2015-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Delightful room, bright and fresh. Lovely bed linen and towels. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast served on lovely china while overlooking the garden. Fiona was a welcoming and accommodating hostest. Comberbach is a charming village and Shrubbery Cottage is an ideal location and well placed. We hope to return some day and would definitely recommend to others. 5 star :)

  • Caroline's home is lovely; our view was to the garden and a field of sheep and lambs, then down to a river. It was so peaceful and I could have looked at this scene for days! I enjoyed our chat - we like the same sort of things I think. Many thanks for a really lovely stay.

A comfortable single room with it's own bathroom slightly set back from the main staircase, in a unique quirky 18th century cottage with oak beams and some low ceilings. Shower room on ground floor. (If you are over 5.9 you may have to duck some beams downstairs in the lounge). The view is over a beautiful cottage garden free to use. Narrow steps leading up to the room.
This would suit someone being in the area for a few days or for an overnight stay on the way to somewhere else. 5 mins from Junction10 on M56, just off A49 in Weaverham. Manchester, Liverpool and Chester are 30 min drive but also accessible through public transport. Shops 2 mins walk, Takeaways and pub within walking distance. Continental Breakfast provided with a choice of cereal, fruit, cereal, toast and coffee/tea, local honey and jams. Microwave in kitchen for use.
The house is in the old part of the village within 2 mins walking to shops, pub 5 min, close to A49, M56, Manchester and Liverpool but also Delamere Forrest and great countryside for walking and cycling.
  • Excellent host and a lovely house, would book again without hesitation.

  • Excellent place to stay and excellent host!! He went to the station to pick me up and my room was amazing! The bathroom was clean and the view from my window was very nice. The bed was comfy, very good wifi, excellent food. Thanks you for all! :)

  • Chris was an absolute star. I was treated like a princess, spoilt rotten and nothing was too much trouble! I was picked up from the station, fed (chris is a VERY good cook and enjoys it) and the location was perfect for where I was working. The house is within walking distance of the village where there is a supermarket and a coffee shop amongst other things. The room was clean and spacious, I was provided with towels and there were also flowers in the room as well as a TV. The bathroom was immaculate with plenty of hot water, a comfortable bath and a good shower too. It really was a home from home with a lovely, very kind and generous host. Good conversation, jolly evenings, comfortable spotless surroundings and I was sad to leave. I was also very grateful for the ferrying around and the lift back to the station along with help with manhandling my suitcase too. I will be back and feel I've made a friend for life.

  • This is the second time I booked with Vicky, she was very welcoming and the best part was the food as I am a vegetarian, she went out her way to get Veg pasta for me which was very tasty , I do appreciate , also the room was very comfortable and the train station is opposite to the Pub which is very handy.

    Louise2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for exploring scenic Cheshire! Really quick and easy check in / out. Ample parking but right next to a train station if you don't have a car. Room was bigger than I'd thought but really warm, which helps in mid Feb! Plenty of towels, tea, coffee, biscuits, and blackout-slatted blinds as well as curtains. I liked the wooden flooring too. If you'd like a night-cap, you can take drinks from the bar (they're really friendly) to your room.

    Claire2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The coach house was perfect. Cozy and comfortable room and great food and service in the pub!

    Charlotte2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place to stay and accessible, which is rare in air b&bs. As each disability requirements differ, Vicky listened and altered my room to allow me to move around it with my wheelchair. Absolutely first class, nothing was too much trouble. Really good food and a lovely pub!

    Carolyn2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location warm friendly welcome and rooms are very clean and excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

  • Pickmere is a lovely area and Pickmere Guest House is a lovely place to stay. Felicia and Tony were great hosts and our room was ready on arrival. The bonus of Pickmere Guest House is that it offers dinner (for a charge) whichwas excellent as well as breakfast which was also excellent - so there was no need to look for a restaurant. It would have been nice to stay longer! Tks

  • A wonderful B&B. The rooms was great and they were extremely accommodating to my needs. Highly recommended

  • Felicia was very welcoming and the guest house is immaculate. Our room was beautiful with a big window and a bed you just wanted to jump straight into! It is a lovely area to stay, and on the day we arrived it was in Spring sunshine which made everything look gorgeous. We were going to a wedding so had a quick check in and straight out again. When we returned, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and everything was very clean. Breakfast was great too - don't miss it! I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to stay again. Thanks very much Felicia.

  • We had a comfortable night in a large room for our two girls and us, with a lovely breakfast in the morning. All very easy and laid back, especially checking in when we arrived around 9.30pm. We love Monty too, extremely well-behaved dog who delighted my daughters. We enjoyed a walk to Pickmere Lake with a very interesting history. Lovely pub up the road too but we didn’t manage to make it for dinner due to traffic travelling out of London. Thank you.

  • Steven and Ruth were so very welcoming and kind, it would be hard to fault them in any way. They genuinely care about people, and it shows. Their cottage was charming and they went the extra mile to make our 2 nights there comfortable and fun. We had some great conversations and felt by the time we left that we had made some new friends. The breakfasts were ample and delicious, the stunning views from the conservatory were serene, and we were even chauffeured by Ruth to the local pub which serves award-winning food. They were outstanding hosts who went above and beyond the normal level of hospitality, and we highly recommend a stay with them for anyone who is visiting this lovely part of the UK.

Beautifully simple but carefully designed, comfortable, double room in a rural Cheshire farm house with a modern en-suite. Both our BnB rooms (2 doubles) are independent of the house with their own front door and each have a TV & wifi. I leave a light 'help yourself' breakfast in an adjacent kitchenette with use of fridge, kettle, microwave - shared with one other BnB room. The local pub is 7 mins walk & serves great food. Easy access to Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Cheshire & M6
We have lovingly restored our farm house (there is still a lot of work to do on the landscaping) over the last 5 years. The old barn has now become a separate wing connected to the house, with the 2 new bedrooms and bathrooms that are our B&B rooms. With their own front door you can come and go as you please. The rooms are modern and fresh but homely too. High insulation and underfloor heating means they are quiet and cosy. The water is heated via our solar panels and air source heat pump. With a desk with wifi this is an ideal base for a business person. We also now have a campsite if you fancy coming to camp.
Comberbach is a lovely Cheshire village with a church, post office, garage and a pub (7mins walk). Marbury Park has lovely walks and it connects to the Anderton Boat Lift only 2 miles away. Nearest towns Northwich (7 mlies), Knustford (12 miles) and Warrington (9 miles) where there are shops and supermarkets. We are on The Cheshire Cycle Route so there are cyclist are everywhere! Horse Riding is available at Cheshire Riding School 2 mins walk away. The great cities of the North West, Manchester, Chester and Liverpool, are in easy reach - see below.

  • All communications with Fiona were excellent, with prompt replies at all times Fiona and Adrian were very welcoming and their accommodation was all as described and more – A very beautiful barn conversion that was comfortable, clean and very homely. Use of a utility room with an electric kettle and a fridge was ideal for us – a pair of Brits who like their cup of tea! In addition to all of this - Fiona offers a hearty breakfast. It is in a great location being set in rural Cheshire with all that brings, yet with easy access to the cities: Chester, Manchester and Liverpool We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Fiona and Adrian for your kind hospitality.

  • What struck was the thought that has gone into the place: everything was comfortable, easy to use, and very clean. My room was in the annexe to the old farmhouse, where there were two rooms: one upstairs, and mine on the ground floor, with en suite big shower room, built in table with TV, and comfortable beds: I never felt cramped and was able to make it homely, and the small kitchen had everything I needed.

    David2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable stay and enjoyed the privacy! The place is clean, warm and extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend - Thanks for your hospitality Fiona!

  • Lovely set up in a wonderful little country village. Room was all that you could ask for (spacious, quiet, clean and modern). En suite bathroom and shower was also great and large. Fiona was great and was able to accommodate me on very short notice with no problems. Local pub is close and does great food at good prices.

    Justin2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona's place is really comfortable, spotless, stylish and quiet. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay prior to the Arley Hall 10k. Fiona was very friendly and helpful with her local knowledge; we had a delicious meal at the local pub, the Bergamot & Spinner. There are some lovely breakfast items in the kitchen too - many thanks Fiona! Highly recommend!

  • We had an amazing stay at Beeston Gate Farm. Our room was large and cozy. And it had a huge lovely bath to have a relaxing soak in. And there were also comfortable sofas to sit on as someone with a very bad back, It was much appreciated. All in all it really exceeded our expectations! The whole setting was truly peaceful. Highly recommended

  • Really enjoyed our time staying here and can highly recommend it. Some guests had seen the rooms at peckforton castle and said they preferred the air BnB and my partner and I also felt this way when visiting the castle later on that day for a wedding. Chrissie is a wonderful host who has gone out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious and cosy. Thanks for having us and would love to stay here again

    Danielle2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? The charming farmhouse and garden are quintessential English countryside. From the home, Beeston Castle is visible. Nearby, you have plenty of charming pubs, gardens, ice cream farms and quaint towns to keep you busy. Additionally, the historical sites of a Roman amphitheater and two castles will amaze visitors. As for Chrissie, the host, she goes above and beyond, paying close attention to every detail. Her suggestions for hikes, restaurants, and places to see were helpful for these two tourists from the states. Until next time Chrissie! We loved meeting you both and thank you for your hospitality.

    Jennifer2017-08-13T00:00:00Z

  • Chrissie was amazing, we arrived very late due to traffic but Chrissie greeted us at 23.30 and made feel very welcome. Our breakfast was fantastic and general hospitality was exceptional. Thank you very much!

    Christopher2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Chrissie was a lovely host with a nice countryside B&B right next to a farm. The room was clean, had a good size bathroom, and the location was very convenient for our stay.

    Ben2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We needed a place to crash close to a wedding (fairly last minute) and found Chrissies place. As London types we're not that accustomed to farm life and living in earshot of quietly mooing calves, but we loved it. The farm is right in the middle of the beautiful countryside with little towns close by. The house it's self is large and based on a charming working farm. Inside the house is immaculately kept and the rooms are large and comfortable. Little extra touches really made it for us with some homemade sloe gin on the bedside, posh soaps in the private bathroom and complimentary chocolates to soak up the gin. The owner Chrissie, was so welcoming and kind, even giving us a lift to the wedding as the cabs in the area are seemingly in short supply on busy days. We could not recommend it more highly and for the price we considered it an absolute bargain and will be making excuses to return soon.

  • If Carlsberg did B&B, this is how I imagine they would do it..... Steven & Ruth could not do enough for my wife and I. The cottage was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could ever wish for. We would definitely recommend Primrose Cottage and will be staying there again ourselves in the near future. The little touches that our hosts have put a lot of thought into, were also a very nice touch. Ideally situated for Oulton Park, which was the purpose of our stay. Thank you so much both, A* Stephen & Julianna

  • Steven and Ruth are fantastic and do anything and everything they can for you. A proper B&B with a proper breakfast. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Absolutely recommended to others - I hope I have a reason to stay again sometime.

  • Primrose Cottage was a fab place to stay, would recommend. Hosts were so lovely, nothing was too much for them. They drove us to & from The Badger on Saturday evening for our meal. So much choice for breakfast, we were spoilt with gluten free & vegetarian options. We stayed here for the BSB at Oulton Park & if we are visiting the area again we will definitely stay here

  • Lovely and clean cosy room, with treats in to make you feel at home! Very friendly and helpful couple, they let me keep my bike in the garage and even had gluten free options for breakfast which was fab! Thank you

  • I had an extremely enjoyable stay with Steven and Ruth. The rural setting is very convenient for Nantwich and Crewe (where I was visiting my mother's nursing home) and the M6. The bedroom was very comfortable with all the comforts of home - although I don't normally get the pillow chocolate at home! The breakfast selection could not be faulted - and I am a breakfast person. I will most definitely be back......

Neutral decor throughout a beautiful building which is the oldest public house in Northwich dating back to the 1400’s we have 5 bedrooms, single and family rooms available. 2 rooms have en-suite bathrooms and 3 have a shared bathroom. All rooms have a tv, kettle, tea and coffee etc. It’s in a lovely local area close to the town and train stations. We don’t do breakfast anymore as there wasn’t enough demand for it, but we have a communal kitchen for guests and there’s a cafe about 7 doors down.
  • Loved the hospitality.. Will defo stay here ahain

Ce sont d'excellent hôtes, l'accueil a été parfait. Très bon échange malgré notre anglais basique. La chambre était impeccable. Nous recommandons vivement. Nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.

Iain and Helen were great hosts, efficient and friendly. Our child loved the chickens and exploring the garden. Suited our family well. The eggs were delicious!
