“A must in Woodstock. True country store and café-restaurant. Food is fresh and made to order; try the Woodstocker hamburger, their famous thin-crusted pizza, and the lesser-known, but oh so delightful, Lentil-burger! Either order at the counter, directly from the cooks, or enjoy full service in the dining room at the back. Eat outside in Summer and treat yourself to their scrumptious ice-creams! Now also offers a “FREE charging station for electric vehicles and hybrids”.”

School
“The Woodstock Academy is one of the oldest schools in the United States. Founded in 1801, it has survived and thrived despite economic setbacks and population changes. The key to its long history has been strong community support and an ability to adapt and change with the times. In 2017 The Woodstock Academy purchased Hyde School’s Woodstock Campus adding on-campus dormitories, a cultural center, an art gallery, a second dining hall, additional indoor and outdoor athletic and recreation facilities, a health center, administrative offices and additional learning spaces. ”

Parc
“"Whether you are walking, hiking, boating, fishing, or picnicking, beautiful Roseland Park is the perfect place to visit in Woodstock, Connecticut, offering historic elegance in the heart of 'The Last Green Valley' " There is no swimming here, but it's a nice area, with a playground, barbecuing-picnicking facilities, and a beach. It can be rented for special events, including weddings!”

Point of Interest
“Along with Durham, this is the upper echelon of Connecticut agricultural fairs. Great food selections, excellent Midway, accessible display barns, go-karts and decent entertainment venues all make this one of our annual Labor Day weekend rituals. The antique tractors, engines, cars and farm implements and displays are among the best of any fair in New England. The Woodstock Fair is like a smaller scale Big E. It is jam packed with food booths and has lots of places to walk around. There is a huge field to park in right across the street which is very convenient (not free though). They have the typical animals and then a whole building filled with different birds, ducks, rabbits and more.”

“A most beautiful area of Woodstock to include wide open farmland, rolling hills and drumlins. Many plein air painters enjoy the landscape for painting.”

Salon / barbier
“Antiquing in Woodstock is pure pleasure and we always find something to suit our fancy. Fortunately, Scranton's is standing strong, as several others we loved have closed (we can no longer visit 3-4-5 antique stores as we used to, especially when we had visitors...). But, we spotted a new one that just opened and will check it out soon. In any case, Woodstock remains more affordable and more fun than more famous antique shops in the area... (which have unfortunately also dwindled down in the past 15 years)”
