“ Just north on 6th to the signal on Yucaipa Blvd., then left and down the hill two signals, Vons is on the right. There are several small restaurants like chinese, frozen yogurt, specialty hot dogs, Denny's, McDonald's, and Subway. Also a Ross, TJ Maxx, Staples, and a drycleaner. ”

“Every McDonald's makes scrambled eggs consistently reliably the way I love 'em, no griddle grime, hot, fresh, and not minced so small you can't stab 'em with a fork. That and a fruit and maple oatmeal makes a good morning sit down for me. Yucaipa has a kid gym.”

“This is a street with 16 houses decorated with Christmas lights all synchronized to music. It is a must see if you are in Yucaipa. Check it out on You Tube.”

“Take the scenic Hwy 38 to get to Big Bear. This has fewer curves and beautiful greenery and views making it a pleasant ride. On many Sunday afternoons, this might be a better road with less traffic to get off the mountains. ”

“Right behind Crafton Hills College is a series of wonderful, well-kept trails that give a view of Redlands and the San Bernardino Mountains. Do a little research before hand, because trails range from easy to very strenuous”

“A network of trails for hikers, bikers, and equestrians. Quiet, clean, picturesque, and wild. Free entry and parking. Bring water. No services and no patrols. Sometimes porta-poties are on site, but not regularly cleaned. Liveoak stands, shallow canyons, grassy mesas, chaparral, framed views of Yucaipa Ridge and San Bernardino Peak. Vast views of southwestern Riverside County. Owls, deer, bobcats, lizards, and rarely a rattler. Bear and cougar reported, too.”
