Go to the bistro (in Czech "Lahůdky"). This is something you should not miss esp. if you´re not from a post-communistic country. This type of a bistro was quite common in past era. You are given a ticket at the entrance where all your food and drinks are written down so you can pay for them when you leave. The food is kind of standard type, please do not expect any haute cuissine. But it´s a good place to give you an idea of past times. And also the food is quiet cheap.

"Must go" in Cesky Krumlov. I recommend also the oldest part of the castle. You can walk through the castle´s courtyards and in the garden for free. There is a beautiful view from the upper part.

Small village protected by UNESCO. There is also newly made Holasovice "Stonehange" circle of stones, interesting place to experience.

Parks & Nature
Lovely walk and sightseeing place, the ruins of an old castle Maidstein. You may take train from Cesky Krumlov, go to Třísov train stop, then follow leads to remnants of celtic oppidum Trisov and follow the signs to Maidstein. You will then go back to train up the stream to Holubov. You can have lunch in a restaurant just on the upper side of Holubov train stop. The walk is about 4 kms, suitable for children, not too good though for baby carriages (then it´s better to go from Holubov to Maidstein and the same way back).

Lipno is beautiful lake and it´s worth visit itself. The Treetop Walkway is suitable for strollers. The tickets are a bit pricey, but it´s nice to look over the landscape and to enjoy being in the tree crowns.

Sadly the public transport is not much developed in Cesky Krumlov. This bus stop "Železniční stanice" is close to the apartment, the bus numbers are 335001 and 335002. They both go to "Špičák" bus stop, that is at the edge of town centre close to the castle, and to the main bus station "Autobusové nádraží". If you like to explore the town from the other side, go with 335001 to "Horní brána". You can buy a ticket at a driver.
