This place has a silly name and a strip mall location, but the food is delicious. The sashimi is wonderful, the rolls are delicious, and the Bento Box is superb. 2 miles from my house.

They make their ice cream- and it's fabulous! My favorite is the Whiskey Brittle and Salted Butterscotch on a cone. Yuuuum. It's a fun spot- always hopping, and people watching, cool nearby shops, lots of bars, and the Mayan Theater are added bonuses.

Try the maple latte in the fall, and Kouign-amann pastry anytime! So simple, yet soooooo delicious! Their coffee is strong, and will wake you out of any over-doing that you might have done yesterday, whether outdoors or at the bar.

The address available is wrong. It's actually in Southglenn, 2 miles away from the house. Awesome breakfast. Super busy place- usually a wait on the weekends. You can always fuel up with coffee from Peet's next door while you wait. :-)

No pressure to order drinks or food if you are just there for the movie.

They show old films, new films, cult films, and your popcorn is delivered to you in a bowl, which you can share with your seat partner on the little table between you. No pressure to order drinks or food if you are just there for the movie.
What can I say- we have THE best music venue in the world, right here in Denver. You can get to Red Rocks in 45 minutes door to "door" from my house. If you don't have a concert to go to, you can always check it out during the day- and imagine and dream of when you're going to come back and experience this magical place.

If you don't have a concert to go to, you can always check it out during the day- and imagine and dream of when you're going to come back and experience this magical place.
The community is warm and friendly, there are many diverse acts every weekend, it is small and intimate.

You just really need to see this place- one of my favorite places to take my visitors. The dramatic rock formations against the backdrop of Pikes Peak, easy hikes for families, a great visitor center. Oh yeah, and it's FREE! It's very close to the town of Manitou Springs, which is charming, and makes a great stop to top off your outing. If you're all adults, have a drink at the Royal Tavern in the middle of town. If you're with tykes, (or without!) check out the vintage arcade next to the Royal. Get some taffy at Patsy's!

Downtown Littleton is a little known town (no pun intended) that is a great place to shop, have coffee, eat lunch, or have a drink. There are a lot of antique stores, boutiques, specialty food shops, an Irish shop in a little cottage, and all kinds of interesting things to see and do.

Pearl Street in Boulder is full of unique shops as well as restaurants and bars. It is lovely, and shaded with trees. Street performers abound, and overall is just a fun place to be.

Getting Around
The light rail station is about 2 miles from my home, and will take you to downtown Denver and many other connections. The RTD website has detailed information about the lines and times. They keep a tight schedule.

Sightseeing
See the beautiful Capitol Building, City Hall and Park across the street, the Denver Performing Arts Center, the Convention Center, Pepsi Center, Confluence Park, LoDo neighborhood, Capitol Hill, Elitch Gardens, 16th Street Mall, Denver Botanic Gardens, and so much more.
I also suggest the Highlands neighborhood and LoHi for shopping and a bite.
The area around City Park, the Denver Zoo, and the Museum of Nature and Science are close together, with so much to offer.
