For those with an interest in seeing local critters up-close Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is just under an hour’s drive away. There is an interpretive center and routes to drive or hike where you might see birds, alligators, manatees, or turtles.

This is a nice public park. It has public beach access, outdoor showers and clean bathrooms. There are covered picnic areas: 6 pavilions, 2 volleyball courts, and a playground. Just 5 minutes South on A1A
