Parks & Nature
The end of Grand Ave. is a great place to park to walk on the beach by the sea, or follow the boardwalk toward Pismo Beach. Everything south of Grand Ave. on the sand along the Pacific Ocean is Drivable! A small fee is paid at the booth before entering but the convenience is priceless, especially if you have a lot of items to cart down with you! Just remain on the well-troddened paths and even 2 wheel drive sedans will be fine! Watching a sunset with a fire on the beach is the best way to take in the natural beauty around us...

For the romantic types seeking a relaxing time together, Sycamore Mineral Springs offers secluded hourly hot tubs with mineral baths to enjoy, though reservations made in advance are highly recommended.

Have your camera ready and the trip by car winds around some significant curves and usually takes approximately 3 hrs. to get to Big Sur or Monterey Bay.
