Perfect for the person with a large sweet tooth! Great baked goods and an even better breakfast menu! The portions are large and every time I go there we leave with food for later. :)

A friend took me here because I had never been to a Japanese Steak house before and I had a blast! They make the food right at the table and their delivery and execution are excellent. The food was amazing and the long island ice tea I got was by far the best in town!

I love going to Captain Ratty's for lunch! I and a coworker go here to eat at least once a week. The cannonball shrimp are absolutely amazing. And the service at lunch is great!

Cute little seafood restaurant with tons of charm! The drinks are served in mason jars and the seafood is delicious. I took friends here and they loved it!

Tucked away, almost hidden, this brewery is a hidden gem. There aren't much in the choice of beer selections but the beer they do have on tap makes up for the lack of choices. Only open Fridays and Saturdays this brewery is worth checking out.

Cute little hipster bar. Love that they have a book exchange! Makes it easy to pretend you are reading when you are no longer interested in speaking with your neighbor. ;)

Great hardware store. When my dad was down visiting from PA he spent close to 2 hours looking around the shop. And it's not just a store for men. My mom loved all the little nick-nacks they had and walked out with several things.

Great for history buffs. The very knowledgeable staff make this place amazing! Our tour of the palace was engaging for all ages. The grounds are beautiful. The kitchen staff was really informative. It is breathtaking.

Great little beach minutes from the house. Pet-friendly, and easy to get to. Swim in the Neuse or just picnic for the day.
