I'm always into a soak, steam and sauna after a day out. The aquatic centre is great and has all three!

Seal Bay Park has maintained walking trails through the forest, with access to a big beach that looks across towards Powell River. Keep your eye out for a fun rope swing as you walk along the pebble beach.

This is a big time locals "hidden gem" take-out place, and happens to be a block from our place. Think large portions of cheesy lasagna and pizza. Call ahead to place your order.

Serving amazing frozen yoghurt and ice cream creations from a Boler trailer, this is a favourite of our family and probably anyone who spends any time in the area! My tip, get a scoop of ice cream with a fruit/frozen yoghurt swirl on top - omg. Yes.

This place is HOT. Very popular right now and very delicious. The best tip is to call way ahead, and place your order! They get slammed with orders very quickly so if you just show up at peak time you may be left salivating and disappointed.

Neighborhoods

Cumberland is a little village that used to be a mining town. It has come back to life as a little mountain biker and young family haven. The trail network next to Cumby has developed a world class reputation. It's okay if you don't bike, you can still walk along the main downtown street, eat, and shop. It's also close to Comox Lake which is a nice place to go for a swim.

Comox is the third town in the Comox Valley. Generally fairly sleepy, it's also very beautiful. Check out the beaches, parks, and the famous Goose Spit Park.
