Beaches and Snorkeling
Beautiful large beach, great for swimming and snorkeling. This is one of the largest beaches and very popular! Secure parking with no entrance fee. They have comfortable lounge chairs and a fair amount of umbrellas too if you need shade. There is not a lot of natural shade here. There is a fee for the lounge chairs and umbrellas and 1 naf for use of the toilets. There's a snackbar for food and drinks, sometimes a local vendor for food at entrance and a smoothie stand.
Snorkeling is nice on both the left and right side rock walls.

Playa Porto Marie
A full service beach with a beachfront restaurant. There is an entrance fee which includes secure parking. Lounge chairs with or without shade have a small fee also.
There are many coral clusters that have formed in the shallows due to sunken structures that were placed long ago for the coral to grow on. Swim out to the reef line which is quite extensive and beautiful, be safe!
Can be very calm water here and it's quite shallow for a long distance out. There are lots of fish hanging out here. I recommend getting in on the left side and following along that wall as far as you're comfortable. There is more coral as you get further along. There is a fantastic deep reef to explore that runs across the middle. Along with all of the usual fish, I have seen Spotted Eagle Rays, Green Turtles and massive Lobster here! There's a snack bar here also. No entrance fee for the beach but a charge for lounge chairs.
Daaibooi Beach, Curaçao
Can be very calm water here and it's quite shallow for a long distance out. There are lots of fish hanging out here. I recommend getting in on the left side and following along that wall as far as you're comfortable. There is more coral as you get further along. There is a fantastic deep reef to explore that runs across the middle. Along with all of the usual fish, I have seen Spotted Eagle Rays, Green Turtles and massive Lobster here! There's a snack bar here also. No entrance fee for the beach but a charge for lounge chairs.

When you're in the water looking away from the beach, go in the right hand side. Look up and count 3 palm trees along the cliff of our resort. Then come away from the wall about 15 feet. On the sandy bottom look for an old engine block. The octopus was in the top hole, only eyes and top of head sticking out. Camouflage of course but watch to see if an arm comes out or it changes colour when a bigger fish comes close.
There's tons to see in our little inlet! Further along the right wall, almost to the corner, come 20 feet or so away from the wall and look for a large pile of rocks. It's covered in different corals, small black rock crabs, shrimp, fish going in and out of the rocks... I've seen scorpion fish, frog fish and seahorses here too!
Both walls are good and somewhat different. And if you're wishing to go further along the ocean side walls, they are both beautiful! More colorful in the afternoon when the sun is shining directly on them.
On the left side there's 3 'coral trees', where coral is being grown for regeneration. And there's a rock nearby that's been recently planted with new coral. Please don't step on or touch anything when snorkeling anywhere. Go slow and linger to see the small things in holes, like maybe a baby or grown eel!

Beach loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee and they have some unique cabanas with lounge beds they are shaded for the day until the later hours before sunset.
There's beach service for drinks and food and tables for eating at also.
There's a full service dive shop Go West Diving operates from there. The reef is nicknamed Alice in Wonderland. The snorkeling is wonderful here also. The reef is visible and the right side has many rock formations covered in sea life!

It's only 3 minutes down the road from the house. It's a wider more open beach then Play Lagun and can be a bit quieter at times. It's very nice for swimming and snorkeling. Both sides are worth exploring for snorkeling along the rock walls and beyond. There are no services or toilets here. There are beaches chairs for a small fee and minimal shade available.
This beach is one of my favourites! It's beautiful and I love the right side for snorkeling. For beginners there are lots of shallow rock formations with corals and fish close to shore to explore and it just keeps going!

Sightseeing
This is a beautiful park where they have restored an old Sugar Mill and old Mango forest. Pop in for a snack (the Mango ice is a nice treat) or enjoy the tour. Don't miss the highest point where you'll climb 88 steps and be rewarded by 360 degrees view!

Laundry
This is the only place to get laundry done at this end of the island. It is a drop off service and they usually have it ready for you to pick up the next day. They may not speak English, but will reliably take your load of laundry items and charge a low rate by weight.

Tarpon Fishing
Hook up with my good friend Michelle for one of the most unique fishing experiences. You will fish for Tarpon, a fish that grows up to 200 lbs and could be 200 years old. It is a very unique fishing experience one that you will remember forever!
