This is one of those spots you will make a tradition. Located just 10 minutes or so away in Orleans, this is the real deal. Yes, they have all the Cape Cod traditional fried stuff but then they get serious too. The atmosphere is loud and fun, the bar and restaurant are always buzzing. The chowder is the best, no seriously, it's the best. I've tried it everywhere on the Cape and Land Ho wins hands down.

Great local spot to rent a bike for getting around during your stay. Cape Cod has a great bike path that even takes you right to Coast Guard beach.

Hands down the tackle shop around. You'll find everything you need for any type of fish that is running and the inside tips on where to find them. In addition to the tackle shop Goose Hummock rents kayaks and offers guided kayak tours.

These are getting harder and harder to find but Wellfleet has a great one. During the day on weekends you'll find the local flea market in full swing here. Come out after dinner to take in a movie. Looking for something more climate controlled, the cineplex is right next door.

Sightseeing
This is a must-do activity. If you leave Cape Cod without ever doing this you are missing a very special experience. Dolphin Fleet is the best in the business. My family and I have done this countless times and have never been disappointed.

Ok, so the Atlantic side of the Cape can be a bit chilly to swim in, I admit that. So go to the bay side and enjoy First Encounter Beach, named for what is believed to be the first time Pilgrims met the Native Americans.
You will not find a better sunset anywhere on the Cape than right here.

Very nice superette that covers all the bases. No need to go all the way to the supermarket in Orleans, this place has everything you'll need, including a beer and liquor store in the same buiding.
