Fantastic mountain lake close to the house. Closest marina is through the gates of Cliffs Keowee Vineyards. Go early to get parking. They also have pontune, ski boat, and jet ski rentals.

Another local favorite for hiking and mountain biking. Beautiful setting in this valley with abundant waterfalls, and wildlife. The water clarity is amazing being the head waters of the Tuckaseegee River.

About an hour drive but worth a day trip. Enjoy an array of food options and shopping. The commons and Gather are great spots for some food variety. Downtown Main Street is one of the best scenes in the country. Don’t miss Falls Park, and be on the lookout for the new Unity Park under construction now!

Upcountry Provisions, and the Treehouse cafe are also excellent choices along with Top Soil, Monkey Wrench, and Shortfields.
