It should be taken seriously though, it is very easy to confuse the path at the summit in cloudy weather and there is lengthy rocky / scrambling section which is not for those with vertigo. You need to be reasonably physically fit and know how to read an OS map. Check the Clapham cave and mountain rescue (CRO) website for more information.

15 mins downhill walk from Langcliffe to join the Ribble Way. Upstream to Stainforth Foss and the Knights Table cafe or downstream to Settle. Can be extremely muddy!

10 minute, easy walk from Austwick to this picturesque spot. Paddling and a swing. Carry on for another 15 mins to make a circular walk (right at the track crossroads), or for another 20 mins up to Elaine’s tea rooms in Feizor (straight on at the track crossroads).

Park in Stainforth village (5 min drive from Langcliffe), cross the main road and it’s a 5 min walk down a very steep little lane (don’t attempt to drive down as it ends in a vary narrow packhorse bridge). Alternatively you can follow the Ribble Way from below Langcliffe - this can be extremely muddy in the winter though! Up the other side of the bridge you can pop into Knights Table cafe.
