This brunch place is a Portland institution. The line can be around the block, and people are willing to wait in it...which says something about the food. The food is delicious, and will most likely clog all your arteries...but it's worth it.

I'm not usually a fan of waffles...but this place is a huge exception to that rule. The Nutella banana is stupid good. If you're in the mood for savory, get the whole farm. You won't regret it.

Dinner
Bamboo does the best sushi in town. They have a few locations, and all of them are amazing. If you like Japanese food, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu (sushi or otherwise). They are also a b-corp company, and they source sustainably (which is fantastic!).

This is a nice restaurant in the Pearl District. I would suggest getting a reservation. If you decide to wing it, sometimes you can sit in the bar area, and they often time have live Spanish guitar music there.

The two best things on the menu are the burrata and any of their pasta’s. Better Italian food than Italy. They fill up weeks in advance, so you should make a reservation.
They also started doing brunch...and it's incredible.
