There are a few options within an easy walk from the house and some nice places a short taxi ride away.
Gallaghers Traditional Pub

The Brass Balance

Continental style Food court with Thai street food , Pizza , Gourmet Burgers. Guest Beers etc. Excellent views over to Liverpool A short walk away. Website says you need to phone to book due to covid but you can also just turn up and they can normally accommodate you.

A 10 minute taxi ride away but well worth it. Very nice restaurant excellent value based in the old rock ferry terminal with views over the Mersey, A but of a hidden gem and well worth the taxi ride. Phone before as often you will need to book.

Again a very short taxi ride away . Local Greek restaurant with excellent food and good prices.

There is a food hall in the ferry terminal that has some great food and very good value. The thai restaurant is great as are the refreshment rooms. There is a terrace with views of the Liverpool waterfront and its a nice relaxed place to eat and drink. Think Borough market but far better value with a view of the UNESCO world heritage waterfront thrown in. Open till 12 weekends and 11 pm midweek.

There is a food hall in the ferry terminal that has some great food and very good value. The thai restaurant is great as are the refreshment rooms. There is so much to see that I have grouped attractions by area
A short ferry ride away or access via James street station , Go to the Liverpool Museum even if its just to get the view of the Liver building on one side and Albert dock the other. You can leave luggage for free at the Liverpool Museum . Some interesting small galleries in the big black glass building ( open eye and RIBA )

Have a walk round there is a nice square at the back , The surrounding areas have all the old banks some have roof top bars,

At the exit to the Mersey tunnel also close to Lime street Station , There are a group of museums. World Museum Liverpool is good , Walker art Gallery , Go in to Central Library have a walk round the old reading rooms and go on the roof. Saint Georges Hall is a must see.

Lots of bars, The best ones are camp and furnace , constellations, there is the Baltic food market and the cains brewery village ( an old brewery with market lots of bars ghetto golf.) There is lots of street art. You have to take the obligatory selfie in front of the angel of Liverpool.

Worth a look for the art deco architecture , Take a bus through it to see where the harry potter tunnel scene was filmed. The tunnel ventilation shafts are interesting art deco buildings.

Take the ferry across the Mersey leaves 10.30 , 11.30 etc til 4.30 . Buy an all zone save away first at Hamilton Square station ( £5.30 ) show it at the ferry terminal for a free ticket , otherwise they will charge you £14 . There is also a food hall with excellent restaurants and probably the best restaurant view in the country. I recommend the refreshment rooms and the thai restaurant .
