Out of town friends refer to the Bowl as "The Produce Museum", and people who move away say it is the number one place they miss in Berkeley. Definitely worth seeing.

Walking distance, a fabulous mostly-french restaurant, 43 years old and delightful. A place you can sit and talk, and they don't rush you out. Perfect for a nice dinner or romantic night out..

Top notch Japanese Restaurant. Dinner can be challenging in terms of getting a table (you may have to wait) but lunch generally is easier. Worth the effort.

The Cal campus is a wonderful place to walk. Strawberry creek with its redwood groves, some beautiful old buildings, lots of activity and activism. Check out the Campanile, and the stunning views across the Bay to San Francisco, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge.
