This place has a great atmosphere and there is often a line out the door on weekends for breakfast. Casual, neighborhood place that is 2 minutes away by car, and close enough to walk to - take the round about path through the neighborhood.

Really great coffee, and excellent food. It is small cozy place in the Laurel District of Oakland. Can't recommend more highly, again, for breakfast!

Great place to wander the Oakland waterfront. See Jack London's cabin, view the boats and participate in events always going on there. Also, catch the ferry to San Francisco Ferry Building or on game night to the Giants game from here - and pay nothing at the parking structure when you use the ferry.

Great place to see views of the Entire Bay Area - from the new exhibit at the top of the hill. All exhibits here are top notch - it is pretty popular, though, so get there early, or go on a weekday when the crowds are a little less.

There are many access points to this park, I recommend the one at Skyline Gate where you can walk down into the canyon and back out. There are maps at the trail head.

There is an event here every first Friday with food trucks and the museum is open late, but anytime you go, the architecture of the place and the views of Lake Merritt is a great way to get to know a little more about Oakland.

Great Museum, the architecture is amazing and worth the trip - but they always have an interesting exhibit. Friday nights food trucks, and dancing and open late until 9pm
