It is bizarre, but I think that Volare (a tiny, unsuspecting restaurant on the North Circular!) has the best pizza in London. Guests come and love it because it is so inexpensive for the quality. It is run by two young women entrepreneurs who grew up running their Italian parents restaurant in Argentina. They are extremely warm and friendly. I took my Italian friend there to put it to the test and he loved it. He was chatting away in Italian with the chefs.

If you are walkers, take the bus to Muswell Hill and then walk to Highgate woods (there is an entrance close to central Muswell Hill - and then cross the street from Highgate Wood into Queen's Wood. These woods are hundreds of years old!
