Try To Potami taverna with Maria's specialties. All in all a very unique place!

Plataniotissa

A popular ski resort area during the winter months with many hotels and restaurants. It is also known for its Holocaust Museum and Sacrifice Place. It is on the way to Cave Lakes and Planitero. Agia Lavra monastery is located only 5klm from Kalavrita Town 9 min ride and about 43klm from Stavrianna Farm. It is a monastery built in 961 AD at an altitude 961 meters, and can be described as the symbolic birthplace of modern Greece. It was burnt and rebuild many times through its history. It is famously linked with the Greek War of Independence, since it was here that the call for freedom was first heard on 25 March 1821 launching the revolution against the Ottoman Empire. In its museum is included the Gospell of Tsarina Cathrine II of Russia, along with the holy relics of St Alexios given by the Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Paleologos in 1398. A very unique place.

Nafplion historic city is located 133.5 klm from Stavrianna Farm, 1h 35 min easy driving. Nafplio is probably the most beautiful town in Greece. It was the first capital of Greece. It is a very picturesque port with many pedestrian roads full with cafes and restaurants. On top of it at 214 meters altitude is a Venetian castle with amazing views. You can combine this visit with Ancient Epidaurus and Ancient Mycynae.

Tsivlos lake is located about 43 klm from Stavrianna Farm(one hour drive) at an altitude of 800 meters. Impressive view and a very clean lake you can swim in freely with a terific view of the forested cliffs. Petrino Taverna nearby offers excellent home made food and delicious lamp chops grilled to perfection at a very reasonable price. A perfect choice for day excursion and lunch. Limni Tsivlou
Tsivlos lake is located about 43 klm from Stavrianna Farm(one hour drive) at an altitude of 800 meters. Impressive view and a very clean lake you can swim in freely with a terific view of the forested cliffs. Petrino Taverna nearby offers excellent home made food and delicious lamp chops grilled to perfection at a very reasonable price. A perfect choice for day excursion and lunch. Also Paradisos Taverna is located on the lake, grilled lamp chops and pork chops from Kostas

It is located 58 klm from Stavrianna farm, 45 min ride. A Castle Winery founded by a Bavarian Gustav Clauss in 1861. It is famous for its sweet wine Mavrodafni. There is a free escorted tour that will educate you in the history of wine making as well as the historry of wine barell making! Free wine tasting is offered.It was the first organized winery in modern Greece. Most of the wineries in Greece are offering free wine tasting but you are expected to buy some wine.
