Visit Portmeirion - world renowned Italianate village made famous by TV series "The Prisoner" which was filmed there. Beautiful grounds at the edge of the estuary with 2 hotels & various shops, cafes & restaurants. A great day out especially on a grey day as it's so wonderfully colourful.

Visit Portmeirion - world renowned Italianate village made famous by TV series "The Prisoner" which was filmed there. Beautiful grounds at the edge of the estuary with 2 hotels & various shops, cafes & restaurants. A great day out especially on a grey day as it's so wonderfully colourful.
Harlech Castle & Visitor Centre. 15 minutes drive from the house. Amazing coastal views from the top & an interesting museum. Open air events held here in the summer season.

The Panorama Walk is a beautiful hike up through woodland with a river & opens up on to a fantastic viewing spot with stunning views & a welcome bench at the top! Amazing views back to Barmouth, down to the bridge, across to Fairbourne & all the way up the Mawddach estuary & across to Cader Idris mountain range.
