Underbelly is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. The ever-changing menu is always fresh and interesting ranging from fish to vegetarian, goat to housemade charcuterie. Culturally, it may range from an interesting Indian dish to a simple old school pot roast, which is so dang amazing, I still dream about it.

Culturally, it may range from an interesting Indian dish to a simple old school pot roast, which is so dang amazing, I still dream about it.
Liberty Kitchen has a mac-n-cheese of the day that is always luscious and pretty much phenomenal. I really like their burgers, but I've never had anything there I didn't like.

Okay, there are quite a few phenomenal places nearby to get tacos, but El Rey is one of my favorites because, well, it's delicious and close enough to walk to. The thing to do is stroll over to for tacos, Cuban-style beans and rice, then grab a couple cocktails at the nearby bars.

Again with the tacos! Torchy's is in the Heights on 19th and down on Shepherd. You can't go wrong here, and get the queso.

The freaking best, cleanest and tastiest crawfish I've ever had. Hands down my favorite. There is a catch; it's BYOB. There is a pretty great liquor store down the block with a great assortment of beer.

A great breakfast standby with a handful of benedicts, Latin-inspired breakfasts and of course great pancakes. They've got a great coffee bar and gelato as well.

B&B can get pretty pricey with $200 Kobe beef filets, but it is a good place to get a steak. They do their own dry-aging, so ask about that, they'd love to show you around.
If you want to cook at the house, you can purchase a selection of beef at the butcher, including some of the dry-aged goods and take it back to the house. We've got a sous-vide if you want to cook them slowly to tender perfection and finish them on the grill.

I'm not super excited about Chinese food because it all tastes the same. Not here! These guys make General Tso's taste he made it himself. I am not sure what these guys do differently, but it's working!

If you are looking for legitimate farmer's markets, Canino's is one you've got to check out. It is a really great Mexican market where you can get bulk herbs, hard to find ingredients and lots of great produce and goods.

Urban Harvest is one of my favorite farmer's markets with lots of produce venders, meat venders, knife sharpening, baked and canned goods. Of course there are all kinds of little treats, but you'll have to check it out yourself.
