You'll find a butcher, a baker, a nut shop and a dirt-cheap fruit and veg section too.

They also have a great selection of whiskeys and wine by the glass. Open till late, call them on 9484 1820 if you plan on coming really late to check if they’re still open.

One of my favourite bars in Nortchote. There's a courtyard outside, you can order pizza from Pizza Meine Liebe next door and eat it in the bar. Great list of cocktails as well as beers and wines. It gets quite busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Crunch has been around for ages and hasn’t succumbed to the gentrification of Northcote/Thornbury, I love it for this reason. Nothing super amazing but good food and coffee. Lovely owners and staff. It’s a local favourite. It's your closest option for coffee and breakfast/lunch
