Tammy has a wonderful lunch menu going. All the local teachers and workers line up here for lunch. She does this fantastic pecan crusted chicken quiche on Thursdays and Fridays (mostly), but you better call. I prepay mine the day before because she sells out quickly. The shop is in an old bank and has a lot of charm. You can go with family and play board games and buy the kids or grandkids (or grandma) ice cream.

My second confirmation that East Bernard was HOME was this place. I love their sopes and gorditas...very authentic Mexican taco place. It´s a little less expensive than Lupes. About 20 minutes from the BnB.

This place has amazing food and a lot of history and charm. All the local farming families hang out and eat here. All you can eat gizzards on Thursdays. Hamburgers and onion rings are fabulous! Families are welcome before 9pm, then after that it’s adults only. There’s a pool hall with shuffleboard and a mini casino. The outdoor area is very charming, as well. I hear they have an on point karaoke thing going on Saturdays!

Really great seafood but surprisingly good Chinese options as well. We like the flounder special they have sometimes on Sundays. Nutella cheesecake anyone?

Great place for families to play some board games while enjoying a dessert. George and David, the owners, open the space on Wednesday evenings for local 6th-12th graders to experience RPG’s (Role Play Games). We love the owners and their heart for youth!
