Amazing and unexpected. The recently renovated site is like a slice of the Caribbean transported to Lake Charlevoix. Tie off your boat and dine dock-side. A full bar and great fast-casual menu for all tastes. This is our favorite happy hour hangout!

Super good fine-dining in downtown Charlevoix! The service is excellent, and the food is very well prepared. The owner and occasional chef is a culinary school graduate from New York who only serves up fresh fish - even in winter time. Definitely on to check out for a date night or group dinner.

We enjoyed some wonderful food here during our last visit. A neat environment right by the bridge with plenty of windows to admire to beauty outside while enjoying a nice dinner.

There's a neat little mile or mile and a half hiking trail that starts off the service road and takes you right up to the beach-side campsites. A wonderful half-day adventure that allows you to explore the Lake Michigan woods and beach scene without throngs of people!

Wow. An amazing, must-see stop on any visit to Northern Michigan in the summertime. I grew up visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and now we enjoy bringing our kids here. Take in spectacular views of Glen Lake at the top of the first big climbing hill. Venture further towards Lake Michigan for a steep slide down to the beach. Coming back up is quite a climb!

9922 W Front StWow. An amazing, must-see stop on any visit to Northern Michigan in the summertime. I grew up visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes and now we enjoy bringing our kids here. Take in spectacular views of Glen Lake at the top of the first big climbing hill. Venture further towards Lake Michigan for a steep slide down to the beach. Coming back up is quite a climb!

A wonderful stretch of park that includes a splash pad for the kids (and um, grown ups too...) as well as an amphitheater that hosts live music in the summertime. Wonderful and free entertainment for the family!

A large equestrian barn converted into an amazing distillery and fun zone! There is a wonderful bar mixing all sorts of mighty cocktails, two permanent food stands serving southwest delights and burgers, and all sorts of pub games: pool, darts, corn hole, etc.

This iconic bridge allows the bigger boats through on the hour. Take a walk over or under the bridge and stroll down to the pier to take in a beautiful sunset.

Okay, it's not really a brewery, but I wouldn't reduce it down by calling it a "bar." This place ROCKS. Spend a day exploring Boyne City and be sure to stop in for some fine craft beer and food offerings. A certified gem.
