1 minutes from the house, in Piazza Alberti, look for a small white street kiosk, in front of the bakery. Lampredotto is a speciality you can find only in Florence. Basically it is the fourth and final stomach of a cow, slow-cooked till it's stewed and served on a crunchy bun, often first soaked in the broth and with spicy or green sauce. Ask for a "Lampredotto completo con salsa verde" and you'll have one of the most sensational food experiences of you live. No kidding! Plus, it's very convenient, with 5 € you have your Lampredotto and a glass of red wine.

The "Central Park" of Florence, great place to rest, walk and breathe. It runs along the Arno river, for about 5 km to the west of the city center.
Take Line 1 of the Tramvia from central station, and get off at the Cascine-Carlo Monni stop (it's the second).

You’ll find space even during the most crowded hours of the day! Within the complex, you’ll also find a bar where you can buy panini, snacks, ice cream and much more. If you can plan ahead, I recommend packing a picnic to enjoy in the park!

It looks like a swimming pool within a hotel rather than a city one since the location is enriched by an ancient villa, a poolside bar, restaurant and pizzeria. There is also a smaller pool perfect for children while in the evening Le Pavoniere turns into a disco!
