Welcome aboard a large sailboat, a Downeaster 38. Designed by renowned naval architect, Henry Morschlad, this Downeaster is in exceptionally good condition. Your three-hour adventure starts at Jack London Square. The route will depend on wind conditions; however, our goal is to cross the bay to see the marvelous sites of South Beach Harbor (home of the SF Giants), the financial district, the bay bridge, and then Treasure Island. During the tour, you'll see amazing wildlife; including, flocks of pelicans, sea lions, and the occasional dolphin! This is an active experience! I will review the basics of sailing (wind angle, general terms for operating the vessel, and rules of the road). You will take a turn at the helm (wheel), manage the sheets that control the sails, and raise and lower the sails. Naturally, you are also welcome to just sit back and enjoy the amazing views.

Croisière en voilier dans la baie de San Francisco
Get a taste for what an awesome experience living, working and voyaging on a classic sailboat can be, while viewing fantastic landmarks from the uncrowded deck of " Alsager ", using sustainable and eco friendly wind power. Perhaps choose an evening sail, and enjoy a wonderful sunset. We will be outside only, with plenty of space, breathing clean Pacific air! Get a little salty while we sail and chat about what it's like going far from land and crossing oceans, from endless waves and wind, to calm nights under starry skies. Get a feel for what it's like to live and thrive in a constantly moving small space, in a beautiful but unforgiving environment. Hear what it's like to battle Tuna and Sailfish while under sail, and have the freshest sushi minutes later. And to anchor in tropical anchorages, bathe in the sea, and surf uncrowded waves right from the boat. Ask as little or as much as you like about surviving storms, living in foreign countries, meeting great cruising friends, and unplugging from normal living to find another path. Perhaps, ask how you can get started yourself. Spend time aboard a unique, rugged, beautiful boat with numerous Atlantic Ocean crossings and a Panama Canal transit under her belt, that has provided a safe and peaceful haven for her crew over the span of five decades in a green, earth friendly fashion. Great for groups and team-building too!
Randonnée : le Golden Gate et la baie de San Francisco
Join a local guide for a scenic and insightful walk on San Francisco Bay. Enjoy the beauty of the coastal parklands just outside Sausalito in the Marin Headlands. We meet at the Sausalito Chamber of Commerce next to the ferry landing and shuttle to Fort Baker to enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, San Francisco, Alcatraz and San Francisco Bay in the headlands above Horseshoe Cove. We make a gradual ascent on a car-free path to a sensational overlook at Battery Spencer high above the bridge to enjoy commanding views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the wide expanse of the Pacific Ocean. After exploring the overlook, we head back to bridge level, where you can choose to walk on-your-own across the Golden Gate Bridge (45 minutes, 1.7 miles) back to San Francisco or continue on to Fort Baker. If you choose not to walk the bridge, we conclude our walk back in Sausalito. Note: If the walk is not on the calendar for the date you want or fully booked, please contact me and we might be able to accommodate you. This walk is also ideal for corporate team building outings! Please note: If you prefer to drive to Sausalito, I will meet you at the entrance to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Fort Baker. Visite irréelle de San Francisco à pied
Please note: this is NOT a regular walking tour. It’s an edgy, outrageous, uniquely-San Franciscan experience. Have a few laughs with storyteller-extraordinaire Clyde Always, the Bard of Bay City, former headliner at these local venues: the Marsh Theater, the Lost Church and Café International on Haight. You’ll be dazzled by many of Clyde’s own modern myths, legends, fables and fairytales. They feature pixies & pirates, hobos & hipster-devils... Make sure you bring your imagination. In between these zany stories, your host will be pointing out various dives, murals, coffeehouses, landmarks, shops and stunning Victorians—no shortage of Instagramable photo-ops, here. Miles away from the rest of the tourists, you’ll get some insider knowledge of three of the City’s hippest neighborhoods—the Mission, the Castro and the Haight. Looking for fun things to do and delicious things to eat? Clyde’s got the hot tips. BE WARNED! Your host is a fast-talker and he may tell you a few phony “facts.” Take anything he says with a grain of salt. If you’re offended by profanity, soap will be provided (but bring your own water). Scared of heights? Rest easy—the route involves no hill climbing! This stroll is guaranteed to entertain, enliven and uplift both visitors and locals alike. **Please, for PRIVATE GROUPS, DM to check availability before booking. **
