Swimsuit on and try the best beach in Helsinki. Have a nice day in Pihlajasaari (island) where you can easily go by a small ferry that leaves from the Ruoholahti canal (near Faro restaurant). Ferry trip takes 10 minutes. There is also a small restaurant in the island.
A cool island for sunbathing, nice little bistro not too expensive; recommendable island experience in the summer; the ferry leaves from Cafe Carusel
great boat trip to the island, great view to the open sea or to the city silhuette. There is also a cafe restaurant with lunch possibility. Pihlajasaari is a 2 island complex with great beaches and also ancient granite rocks and forrest with birds and small animals. Even with rainy days you can…
Excellent city get away, you can take a 20 min boat ride there for couple of euros. Great place for swimming. Other side of the island is a beach and south side is more rocky. There is also a nude beach if you prefer less tanlines.

“Very nice island beach; in summer take a ferry from Kaivopuisto Kompassi; in winter there is a bridge (about 50 m). There is a nice café/bistro and a public sauna. ”

“Dine on an island. A pizza restaurant a boat ride away from Helsinki city. A boat takes people to the island every 30min during the day. However, beware of the seagulls!”
