History Museum
“Frederick Douglass lived here!!! Right in the neighborhood. This is a National Park Service run site. Call in advance or check the website for tours. The Visitors Center is open during normal business hours + on Saturdays. ”

“This place has a tiny grocery store, a bookstore, a theater, a vegan soul food takeout restaurant, some clothing stores and an art space. It is pretty cool! Check it out. There is also a bike pump and tool kit on the sidewalk outside if you need that :-) ”
