This peaceful garden on top of one of the seven hills is a space full of history over the centuries; it has served as a bullring, flea market (Feira da Ladra) and a vegetable market. Also had a fountain powered by one of the distribution galleries of the Águas Livres Aqueduct.

Nice area to walk by, with one of our favorite gelaterias in Lisbon, Mú, and a great way to go to Baixa on an alternate walking route

Restaurant
“It is a very traditional place, packed with locals. You have many fish and meat options. The menu always consists on the Prato do Dia (dish of the day) - which changes daily All the dishes are typical, however, this place is known for the lamprey and its seafood. If you want a quick bite, sit by the bar and order a beer and a prego (a steak sandwich) - that’s the most portuguese it can get :) ”
